The best part about IT as a franchise is 99% of the character interpretation is subtext so for the most part you can basically make it up. Who's gonna say you're wrong? Stephen king? He doesnt remember

The most unrealistic thing about IT is that Derry Maine is supposed to be SUCH a shitty broke ass small town with nothing to do, but they have their own movie theatre, a town festival with big ass amusement rides they rent out, and only ONE abandoned crack house. You know what my small town is like? I pass by three seperate abandoned crack houses on my way to town every day and if i wanna go somewhere for fun i can choose between the elementary school playground, an oreilys autoparts, the grocery store, or just a bench by another empty building. They were absolutely right about the way nobody in derry gaf about anyone elses health or safety tho. I could get stabbed to death in broad daylight and people would still honk at me to get out of the road.
