Hear me out. Halston Balestrom.

My own personal biases make me struggle to say this is a hear me out, as Halston is an incredibly dapper living embodiment of charm! However, he is strange and unusual enough in design, and has a specific frog:human ratio landing him in an uncomfortable valley for some! Not only that but he's beloved by all in a more wholesome way, being everyone's quirky little guy, adding a bit more stigma to saying you like him romantically/sexually! This, class, is a hear me out! Due to the combination of canon personality, appearance, and general community feelings, this is an interest that requires explanation! Said required explanation being the entire original purpose of "hear me out"! Excellent work!

I am going to need your explanation though, despite seeing how some could find him attractive I'm charmed by him in a platonic way. I will be expecting a written explanation of why Halston has created a storm in your heart by the week's end.

You have SUCH a skill for making comic’s!! Like I am blown away at how smooth the panels are, how good the dialogue is and of course the amazing art - characters and backgrounds included !! I just want to ask, do you have any ambition of doing this as a career at some point? Or is this just strictly a hobby type thing ?

Right now, i consider it a hobby thing. Adding money to the equation changes so much. But I'm not against the idea, and i would consider it as a way to make money if I had to. Being independent sounds very nice and i want to work towards that somehow.

generally , although a mistrusting individual , dan heng is a forgiving person. it ultimately depends on what exactly somebody is asking his forgiveness for , but most if not all the time , he is quite merciful. after all , if they’re genuinely apologetic and intent on changing , then that is enough for him. however , should it be an act that jeopardised the crew or relations close to him in any shape or form , his forgiveness is not handed out so lightly.

that surmises his opinion towards others , now , if we are to look at forgiving himself. that is another matter entirely.

what should be addressed initially is — whether dan heng needs to forgive himself for something he never committed. unfortunately , it is a psychological inevitability that guilt is developed when surrounded by numbers of people who clamour about the aftermath of cataclysmic events. it is fact that dan feng and dan heng are two , separate entities , but the general populace sees only the high elder and associates the disaster to this being. brutally speaking , it is fair for this , since without a scapegoat , who is to blame ? if people don't have someone / something to target their anger towards , it would be dire as it erupts to other ( potentially innocent ) sources. at least , by training it on a sole perpetrator , they can unleash their frustrations. it is especially troubling , when we look at the lifecycle of the vidyadhara and specifically when it revolves around the high elder’s molting rebirth.

only a glance is needed to recognise dan heng is plagued by this , and it is not only in his waking hours but also during his rest , to the point that sleeping is something he fears. in fact , there appears to be no end to resolving this perpetual dispute.

so , even if he wanted to forgive himself , for something he had no direct involvement in , the world won’t let him. no matter how fast he tries to run.

.... no i refuse to be normal actually i'm sitting here thinking about how michael means "gift from god" ... "he who resembles god" ... paired with william's, uh, Whole Thing....... the name william which means "resolute protector" the man who was supposed to protect and love you and IS obsessed with putting your family back together and keeping you there despite resentment passing that name down but you take that role and tear down his empire with it in the name of protecting his victims. "who is like god" you are forever tied to the man who thinks he is is a god who holds the lives of everyone in his hands you CANNOT ESCAPE your resemblance to him or the fact that you were something good to him until you were defective but you take his so-called means of protection and set fire to them to truly set everything free-
