i just feel like i have to talk about this because i really love how they handled sangtae’s character. he was clearly written to be the main antagonist that’s keeping yongpil and samdal apart, and even to the point where holding onto this grudge for over 20 years sound almost unreasonable. however, i think it’s a great portrayal of grief and how it can ultimately consume you.
everyone deals with grief differently, and i saw a great post explaining how ko mija and yongpil handling the grief around sangtae made it even worse for him. the plot kept circling back to him being too stubborn to ease up on the hate that i began to wonder if they were going to be able to solve it well enough. but episode 14 delivered because while it was almost getting frustrating seeing sangtae relentlessly not listening to everyone around him, by adding the fact that due to his failing vision and memory, he’s afraid of letting go of this grief. which really ties in to the beginning of the episode between yongpil and samdal, when yongpil was saying how he’s afraid of forgetting samdal. by showing how similar yongpil and sangtae loves, makes it hard to truly hate him (even if he’s a stubborn old man) because our main character is exactly the same way.
but i especially love the way they wrote samdal talking to him. it tied it up so neatly that i can’t help but be impressed. by having her say word for word what he told bu mija a long time ago, after he visited her at the temple, made it seem like it was bu mija telling him that. and i think it was something he really really needed to hear. the actor did an AMAZING job at portraying the realization that he really doesn’t hate samdal, and he was too caught up in his grief that he didn’t realize other people were suffering too. so when he ran after her and seeing yongpil standing next to her,,,, bro TEARS
i just really appreciate how they handled his character because he’s not a bad person—he’s in pain and he doesn’t realize his actions are hurting people he cares about because,, he just happened to really love his wife. and the catharsis of having samdal being the reason to free him from his grudge when he was the one that deliberately kept our main couple apart just shows the intricate relationships of these families but how, at the end of the day, they still care for each other

Is Will a sneakerhead or does he not care whatsoever what shoes he wears?
ooooh i’m assuming since you specified will in particular that you maybe came here from another post or because of something we said in the fic, but we have indeed made our will byers a little bit of a shoe guy!! i would definitely not call him a sneakerhead in the traditional sense — in that we don’t think he cares much for collecting them for trading/value purposes or anything like that, and i don’t think he is too knowledgeable about collections’ histories and whatnot — but he definitely is very interested in them and i think they are an article of clothing that he would take real pleasure in finding rare and interesting pieces for!! the camp whiteman attire is white sneakers only, so unfortunately he does not get to showcase this often during the summer, but we included a couple of pieces we think are very him in this moodboard (especiallyyyyy the bowie sneakers which have been on my acswy will moodboard FOREVERRRR) and i think they are a fun way for him to express himself stylistically. we also made our mike wheeler a little bit of a Jacket Guy in the same sense — not really to collect to sell or anything like that, but i think they would both be ecstatic to find unique pieces for themselves at places like vintage stores or secondhand online and to show them off (like mike with pins on his jackets for example)
anyways to answer your question: definitely not a traditional sneakerhead, but he absolutely Does care

riku’s whole series-spanning journey of redemption and trying to become the hero he was supposed to have been is kind of interesting to me. bc he like hardcore beats himself up over what he did but it’s not even the worst thing he did. yeah he gave in to darkness in kh1 but it’s really hard to blame him for all that much imo. not trying to say it was fine but in the grand scheme of things idk. again in the sequence leading up to kh2 he resorts to using the power of darkness to defeat roxas and in kh2 he’s beating himself up for that again. all like oh man i’m not worthy to be sora’s friend i’m not worthy of anything. meanwhile sora has never once this whole time felt resentment for riku and just wants him to come home and really riku you don’t have to beg him for forgiveness. but riku is really trying to forgive himself. bc he’s so hurt by the fact that he ever hurt sora at all. we see it all the way up to kh3 how much regret he feels for what happened all the way back in kh1. he is deeply devoted to sora and it makes him blind to the fact that hey um. you’ve actually like hurt several other people along the way maybe like apologize to them and earn their trust maybe it’s actually your bond with other people you gotta work on. like maybe go talk to roxas actually maybe go communicate clearly with kairi for the first time in years maybe say hey xion sorry for telling you to uhhhhh do that. like

I want to cosplay Dilton SO badly, but in order to do that I’d need to have:
A: A friend with me who’s cosplaying Jughead, so that (by virtue of the iconic hat) onlookers might possibly recognize what fandom I’m supposed to be from by association.
(Because really, without context, Dilt is just some random kid with glasses.)
B: Ideally multiple other friends cosplaying other Archie characters, because it wouldn’t really make sense to have a tritagonist like Dilly hanging out with Jug, but not The Actual Archie. (And really the whole theme works best with a big group, I’m sure.)
C: An actual place to cosplay at, like, I don’t know, a comic con or something. I have never been to one, and have no plans to go to one, so that’s a bit of a moot point right now. And a comic con is sort of the only place with enough of a payoff for this particular cosplay theme.
Because if you’re not recognized as your character, then you’re basically just wearing normal, slightly dated clothes at a time when you could have been wearing something awesome, like a medieval gown or superhero armor or a pirate outfit.
Half the fun of becoming a character is getting to be that character for other people as well. As much as I want to cosplay just for myself, if I’m not recognized at all, it sort of doesn’t feel worth it…
Unfortunately my interests skew towards the obscure.
