Logan sticking his fingers through his glasses to pinch the bridge of his nose in frustration is never not funny to me 😂

I know we’re going crazy over the sass and I’m just trying to keep up, but Tommy mentioning Buck’s not having cake because he’s in ketosis is sooo husband of him.

Something Else I Just Noticed
I was rewatching the Inside Out 2 trailer to try and pick up any little details that might have been missed when I noticed this:
Tumblr media
This frame is the split second before Ennui is introduced in the trailer. Notice how the control panel is in Ennui’s colors despite her not being anywhere near it, not to mention no one is touching it.
This brief scene made me realize something: Ennui isn’t just messing around on her phone as a nod to the stereotypical “phoneaholic teenager” trope. Ennui’s smart phone allows her to work the control panel wirelessly, meaning she doesn’t need to get off of the couch to do her job.
I don’t know if anyone has picked up on this yet & I may be grasping at straws, but I felt like more people should be aware of this little detail.

Hobart Brown, I love you but…
You are NOT throwing me over your shoulder with them spikes
Tumblr media
But the way Hobie carries these two pedestrians to safety while being conscious of their placement in his arms because of the spikes is so heartwarming

I love that even as the romantic relationships progress in We Are, the friendships remain a focal point as well.
When Toey was telling Q about how he made it through the end of high school, he mentioned that Matt helped him a lot. Matt wasn’t physically present, but the value of his and Toey’s friendship was still highlighted.
Tumblr media
And beyond the close circle of friends that the story revolves around, Toey has his skateboarding friends and Fang has his fellow architecture friends.
There is an authenticity in the way university life is portrayed in We Are (besides the fact they’re rarely ever in class), with friendships formed from shared courses of study, people already known from high school, with the friends of a s/o, and so on. There’s teasing and banter and heartfelt conversations. They argue and have awkward moments, but at the end of the day they support each other and encourage each other. They notice when someone isn’t behaving like themselves and ask what’s wrong. They notice when someone is in a better mood and tease about the reasons why.
The end of episode 11 had Phum admitting his feelings for Peem in front of all their friends. There’s so much trust and comfort embedded into these relationships, I can relax knowing that they all have someone to lean on. These friends know how to communicate, have fun, and be flirty to get their man. Watching their stories unfold is a highlight of my week.

It’s the “little” gestures Marta has with Fina that make my heart swoon and make me think love still exists. 🥹❤️

Saying I’m proud of you a bit more because I know you’ve been struggling lately.
You got out of bed? I’m proud of you. You brushed your teeth? I’m proud of you. You went for a walk?! I’m fucking proud of you. You ate some good food? I’m proud of you. You cleaned your room?! Never been more proud!

Honestly, would love to sit on Steve Harrington’s lap, wearing one of his shirts, doing the crossword on a Sunday morning, sun at its fullest, gently teasing him about his coffee breath, which results in a barrage of kisses until you take it back.

When you start living for the small moments, that’s when you really know you’re living. The smell of coffee in the morning, the sound of rain hitting your roof, the different colours of the sunset. Don’t get me wrong, the big moments are great when they come, but damn those small moments—those are the ones that truly make life worth living.

As if I don’t appreciated the movie enough I’d like to point out some costume detailing because I’m obsessed with how there’s such a realness to this world.
How all of their pants have holes and scuffs to them. Everything they own is well worn and used, some washed in dirt on the knees, some loose thread. A new hole they don’t remember ripping.
Johnny’s shirt even has a few holes if you really look for them, they’re small.
One of Dally’s shirts has a full on patch! I noticed in a promo photo.
They all wear extremely high crew socks.
With Johnny and Pony you can tell they’re still growing as some of their shirts are getting to be small for them. They bend over or do a lot physically and you can see them slip up their stomachs.
Another shout out to most carrying a handkerchief and blade. Sometimes a comb.
Steve has like a full on either wallet chain or bike chain (for weapon?) in the opening. I don’t think it’s in the rest- adding to the bike chain theory
