Happy 1 year to the Rise Movie! I dream that one day they will release the official soundtrack, but until then I will just cry!

This took over an hour of watching this scene on repeat before I 1) lined my playing up with the movie and 2) recorded a take that I didn’t massively mess up in. Technically I could’ve recorded the next minute or so because the notes repeat themselves, but I decided not to torture myself any further.

Also yes, my tv stand is just my shrine to my tmnt merch.

I've been picking mostly only the essential flirt options with lucanis in the romance so far (I've personally found the dynamic much more natural and mutual when you do that, more like forming a solid friendship slowly and inevitably becoming something else and less like you keep pushing on him and getting little back b/c he seemingly just gets overwhelmed and goes into freeze instead), and I think rye is a pretty hard person to read at the best of times even though he's been Down Real Bad from pretty early on and their chemistry as people is naturally really good. so the way the almost-kiss plays out in this playthrough feels a lot like it has the added layer of lucanis realizing that no but for sure rook is flirting and not just being kind or a good friend* it IS actually happening it's not just wishful/fearful thinking!!! and then uh. maybe going a bit too hard a bit too fast in all the excitement at that revelation haha

*in lucanis' defense he has seemingly literally never had a friend who wasn't his cousin-brother before, under those circumstances I suppose some confusion is extremely natural if not outright expected lmao

I'm about halfway into season 9 now and the change of tone really stands out. It did from the start of the season, but Depressing News somehow solidified that. It's the type of episode that would've resulted in a ton of hijinks in earlier seasons (I just know season 1-3 Hawkeye and Trapper would've done crazy things with those tongue depressors, and so would pre-moustache BJ!) but even though the episode is still funny in its ideas and goings-on, there's an undertone of sadness and desperation to what could've been such a silly plot. And it's just fascinating to see. The war has changed the characters and they, in turn, have changed the tone of the show.

Wolfwood goes through the motions. Well-worn habits, familiar ones, like the whistle of an old tune. The question thrown in his face has a rhetorical ring to it, so Vash does not answer. This way and that, Wolfwood, agitated, wars with himself. 

Black. The absence of light. Of color. They are both aware of what it means, but only one of them is afraid of it. 

That is what Wolfwood sees. The beginning of an end. How it will be and how it will always be for a Plant that has exhausted their energy. Vash the Stampede has not yet had his Last Run, but the way Wolfwood looks at him– isn’t it just a question of when? 

The objective truth is not a defense. He has no answer that would be satisfactory, no promise he can make that would erase the dread illuminated by the ember of a crumpled cigarette. Vash tries not to seem greedy breathing in the scent of worm spice and smoke.

Selfish wants for the selfless man. 

A safe route, the route where no one gets hurt, never includes himself. 

He is used to harboring fear of loss, of those around him, especially the man that stands before him now.

But he does not know what to do with that same terror reflected back at him. It was a problem he never had the opportunity to address, because Vash’s fears had been realized first. Maybe now he has the chance... Even if he does not have the answers.

A blank ticket to share.

“...I had to,” Vash finally says, regardless of preconceived notions of ‘You don’t have to do anything.’

Wolfwood does not know. How could he? 

“Knives is…Knives is gone,” he whispers, struggling with the note of finality in his own explanation as he trails after Wolfwood with his freshly bandaged leg. There is too much to unpack here, now, encapsulated as they are in a fog that will not protect them from bullets.

Hey does tyvson or ganso have voice actors?? (Or had) If so I'd really like to hear their voice! (Also I love ur art)

TyV's voice actor is his original namesake, an old friend named Ty. While most characters at this point I feel have evolved to a degree where their voices have probably shifted away from their original casting, I don't think TyV's voice would ever change from his original actor. They're just too intertwined in my head!!! Unfortunately I do not have any clips of his voice to share u_u.

El Ganso does not have a voice actor, he was made far far after the original voice casting. Like, nearly a decade later lol.

It'd be fun one day to have voice actors for them all again. I think if that happened, it'd be fun to make short voice acted animations again.
