You decide to go to your crew that's trying to engage with the Vulcan crewmates while still eating, hoping to act as a social buffer. A couple of them see you approach and start to make room. Within moments you are sitting 5 members of your crew and 3 members of Captain Lek's crew. You look at them and mentally catalogue who's who.

Starting from your left you recognize Yosuke Bosque. A shorter, plump woman who's worked among the stars longer than you've even dreamed of them. Yosuke used to work in those big 'Fleet ships, but a family tragedy brought her to your crew, now more reserved than you heard she used to be but still full of life. She works down in engineering.

David Denzel is the young man on her left, another member of engineering, and also on the shorter side, but he's still a couple inches taller than you. Your ship is his first ship job, and he's proven himself a dedicated worker so far. Only problem you have with him is that he tends to play practical jokes during work hours. You know he'd been disowned, but that's all you or anyone knows, as everyone knows better than to pry.

Across from you is the intimidating figure of Ragnarr Marconi. Normally Ragnarr works on base, but with so many rush orders lately, they've taken up temporary shop on your ship as a much-needed delivery person. Ragnarr stands tall at 6 feet with a murderous looking face, but has the personality of a large dog that doesn't understand it can't fit on laps. You regret not knowing them better as every interaction you've had with them so far has been pleasant.

On Ragnarr's right is Sisay Dema Hathaway a nonbinary nurse with he/they pronouns that has the unfortunate habit of giving everyone their health information as dramatically as possible. Which you would not have guessed from his appearance as everything about him is as average as can be, however, everything and anything is a production with this one. Something you found out the first day you met them as, in the process of telling you your blood sugar was low, they had you convinced you were dying.

And finally, on Ragnar's left, is Lockie Devereaux. Newest permanent worker down in engineering as well, a thin tall person with she/he pronouns, and, you suspect, David's new partner in crime. You don't know Lockie's personality yet, but everywhere David is, there's Lockie.

Every member of your crew has some kind of trauma or backstory for why they've joined your crew, which is the only thing that would drive a person to join, is if they had nothing to go home to. The missions can be long and with little to no excitement to them, and whether you work on the ship or on base, it's years before you see Earth again. It's not the work you do if there's someone at home for you, eagerly awaiting your return. Everyone knows that, but no one pries. If they ever talk about why they're here, it's on their own terms. Hell, even you, their captain, haven't shared your reason with anyone except your First Officer.

You look over at the 3 Vulcan crewmates who you obviously don't know. They're all quietly eating and don't look as though they want to be engaged in conversation. You think you've heard before that on Vulcan it's customary to not converse while eating. If that's true, then they probably aren't appreciating your crew's attempts to be friendly.

Best you can do for them right now is get your crew talking to you so they aren't talking to them while they're still eating. You decide to start with Ragnarr, being that they're right across from you, and with their personality, you're sure the others will hop right in.

'The Majima Dilemma' Anon here, looking for some feedback on how would one write Goro Majima's other half Goromi so that it doesn't sound offensive or cringe-worthy. I have the basics - like some stuff noted from the game, but would like to hear someone's idea on Goromi-chan - how she acts around Kiryu or other people etc.

ohoho so I think that the best way to write her (subjectively of course) is to treat her sincerely. of course there's the elephant in the room depending on how you interpret her - I'm going to be viewing her as genderfluid cuz that's my thing so for my purposes, she's an amab dude in a dress. as such, I don't point out said elephant unless the point of my story is to talk about that specifically and with it often comes discussion of gender, etc etc. if I'm not talking about that, I talk about her as if she's any other woman doing her thang.

example: if I had a basic scene where she's putting on lipstick, I'm not going to write her as if she's struggling or being incompetent "because man unga bunga." I'd just have her put on lipstick. that same scene could change depending on the "when" too. maybe early Goromi did struggle but! it's important to portray that struggle with sincerity. write her being anxious, clumsy, etc. don't try to make it comedic tho as it'd be inappropriate imo. if there is anything funny, it shouldn't be at her expense.

so, the game treats the Goromi encounter like a joke, basically just a reason for Kiryu to fight her on the basis of "haha man in dress doesn't that just piss you off." so if you take anything from the game, the conversation they have in the minigame is where it's at, in regards to how Kiryu feels himself around her, how he doesn't have to put on airs, how Goromi's genuinely surprised, things like that. with such a short encounter, you really have to rely on your own imagination to expand upon it but even just that lil bit of exchange is a good base. beyond that, I wouldn't take away from the game that much tbh.

I write Goromi pretty much how I write Majima, with all the usual vulgarities and mannerisms since the way I see Goromi is that she's still very much the same person but with a femme flair. I know some do like to write her significantly different as a personality of her own so that too is an option if that's your thing. I project a lot of my genderfluid experience onto her so when I'm personally feeling flip floppy, I'm not really anyone new, but the way I act, the way I carry myself does differ to varying degrees.

so when Goromi's around Kiryu, for example, she's still up to kicking his ass and being a rude lil shit but she'll carry herself a bit more refined, generically ladylike but surface level - some of it being playing the stereotype of a woman, another part her actively trying to be someone else or "removed from being a typical man." for example, if I wrote Kiryu flirting with Majima, I'd make him get embarrassed but in a sort of aloof way with performative confidence typical of Majima. flirting with Goromi tho is different as she's being very vulnerable, very open about herself and when you love her, you love a part of Majima that he may feel self conscious about.

speaking of the previous mentioned elephant, if you wanna talk about Goromi being a dude, I think that's fine tbh if done with tact. I make it a point in my art to portray her as masculine because for me, the cis part of being genderfluid is just as important as everything else. so I like to see Goromi with her beard and muscles and dick bulge cuz fuck it. I don't shy away from that stuff but I don't make fun of it either. one of my best friends is a transwoman and respecting her as a woman no matter how passing she is, is very important to me. but it's not sunshine n rainbows either. if you do talk about that sorta thing, it does come with baggage and handling that doesn't always have the most right or the most appropriate answer. comes down to respecting people as people imo and I think with common sense and empathy, you can certainly write something well intentioned.

interaction-wise, I think she would try to act the part around most people, maybe being at odds with herself because she's not ignorant to how to she looks or behaves so she tries to be more elegant, more ladylike in order to be likeable, acceptable. but at the same time she's still very much Majima and that crassness doesn't just bleed but hemorrhages out of her. it's a battle within herself to decide how to behave so when people are being genuinely nice, she fumbles. I think it'd be normal even around people she's close to cuz even tho she knows she has their respect, it's almost unreal and she gets very flustered 😌 to an extent, I like to think she even rejects some of that kindness cuz her self doubt makes her think she doesn't deserve it or that people are being dubious to get on her good side.

she's good at faking it too. if you need her to be a perfect lil peach or put up with a lotta crap, she can do it. she'd more so do this if the situation required it so I can see her being polite around those of a higher status or if she was in a situation where she shouldn't be a goblin. she'd be pleasant but cold towards strangers, cautious you can call it, until she can place their vibes. there's an RGGO story (idk if you know what that is but it's basically yakuza gatcha on mobile) where Goromi (before Kiryu ever gets to Club Shine) very seriously plays the part of a hostess and wildly excels so she can very much be a totally different person if need be.

whenever I write an upset Goromi, I like to make her revert to tough guy Majima strats where she'll do her damnedest to not let anything get under her skin but it never goes well, especially if it's personal. if she's not crumbling under depression, she'll be snappy then pissy, handling anything with a fight over pouring her heart out. she's prone to spiraling and holding grudges, preferring to suffer in silence alone which is very much how I'd write Majima normally.

a happy Goromi is bombastic, moreso than Majima if that's even possible. and depending on the context, very very sincere. because the theater in my brain never stops replaying the same scenes over and over, I always have this mental picture that Kiryu says something sweet about Goromi and she's just on the quiet side smiling in a sad sort of way like she can't even believe he actually means what he says. and he looks at her worried like he said something stupid and she has to reassure him she's just happy to be so lucky and that tough exterior opens up just a lil more each time. Majima is a big softie and as Goromi, I feel he can explore that a lil more freely if hesitantly.

I hope this stuff helps! it's my own thoughts so of course take things totally subjectively. I think writing Goromi sincerely does rely on taking considerations of femininity, especially in regards to how a man would approach them and how society would view that. it's a lotta reactionary stuff and I think if you can empathize with that, you can write her well enough. Goromi is a divisive topic for people so you're not going to please everyone but trying to write her in order to please everyone wouldn't be sincere imo. she's a mixed bag of things, some good some ugly, so write her in ways you feel good about while also being considerate/respectful of course.

I think generally I prefer long content but it is also very dependent upon what the video is about. what I am trying to get at tho is I would love to see dan and phil play some different longer game series. yes I am thinking about life is strange AGAIN but I really would like a series like that and I genuinely would not mind if the wait between videos was longer than more frequent short form videos

just my opinion tho bc obviously we have no say over the dnp games channel but I feel long form game series may be a popular move?? but at the same time people may not have the time to watch and keep up with long videos/series. in the example of life is strange I guess the actual first game is quite old now but I still see people playing it on youtube for the first time and it’s still a popular game so I don’t really think that is an issue. obviously dnp know what sorts of games and uploads get more views and engagement (not saying that that’s the most important thing about uploading but it is definitely important to consider) so that impacts what they play too. hmmm I don’t know how to phrase it so I hope it sounds alright buttttt I do wonder if long form content or just a new series would do better on the channel and bring in new viewers? there is obviously a huge nostalgia factor with dapg and there’s still the core fandom that engages but I wonder whether content length impacts any growth in new viewers?

there is clearly the issue with long form content simply taking way longer. it obviously takes longer for dnp and their editors but also for viewers to have the time to spend on a series so maybe long form is not a popular move bc of that reason

nowww this also leads to a 4th option I wanted in the poll but I took out is whether people would want dapg youtube shorts. because reallllly super short content like shorts reels tiktok whatever else is so popular atm and so many highlights or funny moment clip things exist I wonder if that is a direction dapg will go in. god I love her like that's my girl!!! she's so cute and relatable and funny and her story in s2 was one of the best in the whole series. literally every time she smiles it's like the sun rises. would vote best girl in any poll. genuinely think about her a lot even though she doesn't have much relation to my main guys which tells you how serious I am about her

I'm sorry the board looks so empty but frankly none of these options accurately describe my thoughts on him. because I do have a lot of thoughts. genuinely he's such a well-written character, and I love all the relationships he has in the series, with tendou, with his dad, with sakusa, with oikawa!!! but even with all these thoughts and genuine appreciation I don't have that many actual feelings in regards to him... at least not unprompted. I like seeing him around and maybe I'll put him somewhere as a cool side character in my thoughts but I'm just not obsessed with him. but his story is good and he's so important to hq overall... maybe if we'd gotten that shiratorizawa/inarizaki match I'd be frothing at the mouth thinking about him... but alas I just quietly appreciate him

dan and 13s relationship is funny bc, okay im definitely probably making the doctor slightly more hostile than she is/would be in canon bc of whump purpose circumstances (shes mean when shes being poisoned) however, it still is the case that they have had like, two conversations one-on-one in canon? at the end of 13x2 when theyre gonna save yaz - the extent of which is "this is a trap. we have to get yaz. do as i say" - and then eotd "she like likes you"

theres a few more where they have a conversation with other people also there. if we take those into account it's like:

1 - end of 13x1 "sorry heres your house. also im now involving you in saving the universe nope not optional sorry again"

2 - end of 13x2 "karvanista im taking your guy"

*interlude where dan lives 3 years of his life in the 20th century* this would not have happened if he hadnt gone with the doctor in 13x2. becomes good friends with yaz tho. he has had well counted 5 interactions with the doctor. you can barely call them conversations. hes mostly just been ordered around. even jericho has spent more indepth time with her being stuck in that house surrounded by angels. 5 interactions. now 3 years with yaz. okay just wanted to make that clear. back to the program

6 - 13x6 "hi dan, since youve had such a great time in my blue box and also coincidentally do not have a house, wanna come spend some more time in my blue box? oh i also have yaz here that might be convincing"

7 - eotd first time dan initiates. "i'll go distract that second dalek while you two figure out how to solve all this"

8 - eotd second time dan initiates! on a roll! "she like likes you". or perhaps the more important point: "you know exactly what youre doing with her"

9 - lotsd "your clothes oh my god what are you thinking". first conversation that feels like it involves all three of them and is not two-of-them-talking-and-one-standing-by. gives a GREAT impression of the doctor-companion hierarchy at play. "yaz did you dress dan up like this??"

the fic im writing is set between lotsd and potd so this is the space im interested in rn but for the sake of completeness:

so heres my interpretation of their relationship right. i think 13x5 is a tipping point. before 13x5 they Do Not know each other. at all. dan is barely more than another "lad who ive not even met yet". shes met dan, but thats kind of it

up to 13x5 the only interactions dan has with the doctor are being ordered around and being invited on board. this is also still true up to 13x6 but by then he has extensive secondhand experience of her through yaz

crucial that for the doctor in 13x6 wrt dan nothing has changed. he has a fairly good impression of who she is at this point, i think. their firsthand interactions on the other hand still only consist of ordering around and being invited on board

so 13x5 first flipping point. second flipping point is eotd because now dan starts iniating conversations, and not just conversations but really like kinda deep ones too. seeing as their interactions up to that point consisted of "do as i say" and "come aboard my tardis" this must really, like, threedimensionalise both of them to each other. bc so far both of their impressions of each other are mainly through yaz. dans idea of the doctor is through yaz and to the doctor i think dan is mostly just a friend to yaz

but here in eotd they start getting glimpses of each other firsthand, or at least the doctor gets some of dan, dan had already some of the doctor (see: ordered around), and i think this is why i tend to gravitate to making 13 fairly hostile toward him. it's also bc i put her in vulnerable positions where she will be more hostile to everyone, but i also can imagine he poses a bit of a threat to her. the first real thing he ever said to her was directly attacking like her main emotional defenses that shes held for 5+prison years years. i dont think she would be overtly hostile, i think she'd just make sure to keep yaz between them as a buffer, not to be in a room alone with him

similarly i cant imagine dan has all that great of an impression of her! he met her psychologically not in a great place, not exactly nice to anyone really, shes ordered him to shut up and follow more than shes had a real conversation with him, AND hes seen yaz Like That for 3 years and then the doctor Like That for a week and immediately decided to intervene. i dont think he thinks shes nice! because she hasnt really been

so the point im trying to get to is - idk if i had one but - they both have a close relationship with yaz, but i dont think theyre like, comfortable roommates necessarily. i think theyre friendly, sure, but i also think they have never really been in a room alone together. i think they keep yaz as a buffer between them and then are polite and friendly, but i dont think they like each other, actually. at all. i cant imagine they do.

and if youre thinking about scenes where the doctors vulnerable, which i do bc i like using the space between lotsd and potd to upset her, then i think they both would try to make sure that dan never has to see her in distress. like i think you could make a comparison between the scenes at the end of 11x2 where first the fam sees her super upset and then when yaz comments on it in the tardis she brushes it off and the fam kinda takes that as a boundary that they try not to cross (until like s12 comes around and it becomes almost impossible bc things are so obviously wrong) AND the scenes in eotd where first dan is like "do something about yaz" and then when yaz asks about what the doctor meant abt her actions catching up with her, the doctor looks at dan there and goes ":) nothing :)"

anyway i dont have a real point this is just vibes bc of course i put them in a room alone together and made them talk so i had thoughts. dont know if theyre good. but their relationship is fucking weird. honestly like if dan is a doctor mirror then youve got the doctor here going "do not get emotionally involved with me!" and dan going "i wasnt planning on it!"

everything dan says in his goodbye to the doctor he actually says to yaz. like you should just swap them out. because yaz is the doctor to his companion. dan&doctor is not a doctor-companion relationship thats the core of it. but then the question is, what the fuck is it

In the world of my OCs, some people are born with powers, but they have consequences and drawbacks if they're overused.

There is an Evil Bad Guy(tm), who, of course, wants power, and so when a kid is born with a strong enough power, it's more than likely they will be taken to join the ever-growing brainwashed army of Evil Dude(tm). Evil Villain Guy(tm) also carries forward... tests and experiments, to see if it's possible to evolve these powers and overcome their drawbacks.

This guy is my poor special little guy, Dante, and by that, I mean he's the one that I make suffer for my own amusement, i'm sorry, Dante.

He doesn't know his age, but he guesses he's in his mid-20s.

He was one of the child soldiers the Evil Villain Man(tm), and has been with him since he has memory. Now all he wants is revenge against him, and doesn't care about much else.

He was a favourite, because he was the first one to survive the tests and evolve the powers he has. (drawbacks are still a work in progress)

His power allows him to create limbs made from shadows, he specialized in wings. Altho he started only creating two wings, with the tests, he started calling more and more wings to his control, and they eventually stopped looking soft and feathery, and started looking more and more leathery, and he stopped using them to fly, more like spider legs to help support him and that he can turn into extremely dangerous and sharp weapons.

This guy over here is Nicholas. He is *drum roll* Evil Villain Guy(tm)'s older son!

Nicholas is in his mid-20s. He also has a younger brother, Theo, who is in his early 20s.

He was raised in blissful ignorance until he was a teenager, where he started figuring out his family's dark history. He started questioning his father's authority more and more, until, when he was around 16 years old, his own father commanded his assassins to get rid of him.

He was left for dead, but little did they know he had been hiding self-healing powers, and managed to survive and ended up joining a rebellion against his father, meeting Dante again ten years later, when he escaped. His brother is still with his father.

I'm very bad with names and can't choose, I have at least twenty options for each, but these are also some very important guys for them. All of their designs might change!! I'm still playing around.

The woman to the left is the leader of the rebellion, she took Nicholas in and knocked some sense into his head when he was pushing his body and powers farther than he should. She has electricity on contact powers, she uses it for the most shocking punches, or for charging whatever metalllic weapon shes holding to make it Hurt. Her drawback tho, is a loss of fine motor skills, her hands shake a lot because of this.

The guy in the right is Dante's uncle. Dante's uncle was a renowned knight, when he learnt that his brother, sister-in-law and nephew, his only family, were all wiped out in an attack, he lost his control and threw himself to battle with no second thoughts. His power is something of future visio; it doesn't go too far, just a few seconds or minutes (although he might get a few days or weeks worth of it in dreams), which made him unstouchable in battle. The drawback is the lost of his own eyesight. He is blind because of the overuse of his powers, and can really only notice light and very blurry shapes if he focuses (he usually doesn't). When he got tired of fighting he up and left, trying to forget and be forgotten, finding a village in the middle of nowhere and staying there to pass his days.

UNTIL his war-buddy, mister-in-the-center-drawing, came looking for him. They used to be the closest friends and he spent years looking for him after he vanished from the face of the Earth. He doesn't have any powers, but he is very much to Dante's uncle's levels of swordmanship and whatever-knights-do-ship (with the exception of. you know. literal future vision powers). They are boyfriends now.

Also Dante and his uncle meet later on, and this meeting is the reason Dante doesn't go off the deep end as it was very much looking like before. Dante's uncle knows Dante's real age and birthday, he never forgot.

lmfao thinking on the mbti stuff it's really fuckin funny cause like,, ppl wanna insist intp and infp are practically functional opposites, because one consults a logical framework however personal to make decisions, weighing options and their possible consequences, while infp consults personal thoughts feelings and emotions to form a moral and emotionally gratifying decision. and sure!! on paper these sound very functionally different. in practice for me tho?? less so!! bc ofc I try to make the most logical decision, but are possible thoughts, feelings, and moral interpretations completely unworthy of consideration when making a logical decision?? no. very much the opposite.

because neurochemistry begs to reason that feelings stem from biological necessities of some sort, and can therefore inform more personal decisions equally or even more reliably than some frameworks of "logic". to try to completely sterilize logic of all emotion is to deny the merit of biochemistry, and in deeply personal situations in which the consequences are less material and external than they are emotional and therefore physical, this is an exercise in futility at its finest. after all, in cases of toxic relationships, perhaps "logically" it would make sense to stay with a toxic partner, because on paper they seem to bring more good than bad.

perhaps they're talented with finances, have a well paying stable job, give frequent gifts and praise, and are loyal and don't keep secrets. but, perhaps by that same token, they're uncommunicative or cold in their mannerisms, they don't seem to adequately communicate care or tenderness, they have irksome habits that make it hard to live together, and perhaps they have a temper that makes them argumentative and unsympathetic.

by some frameworks of logic, perhaps you should stick it out to see if these troublesome feelings based issues can be resolved. however, with interpersonal relationships, these things are highly subjective to how this person makes you feel on a day to day basis. if you generally feel these issues are small and fixable, then by all means, sure. a toxic relationship has the potential to improve, sure. however, if you feel fundamentally as though your communication styles are incompatible and you don't feel loved the way you know you ought to feel loved in a relationship, feel respected the way you should be, and you don't feel as though communications can improve, then despite ample reason to stay, that's plenty adequate reason to leave.

even if it seems "crazy" or "illogical" to leave such a "good" partner, if you feel it isn't working, then it isn't working. you can't force it to. that, I feel, is the well roundedly logical answer. to consider feelings as a logical variable. not of course THE logical variable to decide all others, but one in many with its merits not unlike any other.

moral questions are the same. these are much more complex, as humans are only that, and feelings inform logic and legality (ESPECIALLY LEGALITY) much more than "cold, hard facts" types are often willing to admit, but that makes it much more important to consider all sides to a moral dilemma before decisive action is taken. harm reduction (punishment) and positive impact (rehabilitation/community care) are sometimes pitted against each other as opposite consequences of moral decisions, but a well roundedly logical solution (if one Can be reasonably found and enacted) should keep both solidly at the forefront of its decisive reasoning.

compromises should be made where necessary, and as many variables should be considered as possible, as humans are complex and societies are built on relationships, systems, and inherently personal goals and agendas, even and especially in groups and teams. to imply otherwise is naivety. to simplistically imply inherent selfishness and lack of morality on all ends is laziness. humans are complex creatures, and the only sort of logic that exists to us is also something invented, something felt as much as it can be observed (for there is no truly unbiased observation; everyone can only see from their own individual perspective).

for these reasons, I feel to be a true "thinking" type, one absolutely must be wary of emotion, yes, as it is subject to subconscious, environmental, and chemical sway, but one must absolutely never disregard emotion entirely. One cannot cleanly compartmentalize all of human experience into "emotional" and "logical", because they will always, always feed into one another. there is logical merit in tenderness, in kindness, in working towards a world in which man thrives, logic and emotion intertwined in symbiotic harmony. there is logical merit in art, expression, and feeling. to imply otherwise is baselessly cruel, and cruelty, as one may observe interpersonally and historically, is a cheap and self destructive means to survival that ultimately hurts the whole and therefore hurts the individual.

there is no human damage that can be isolated in its entirety. there is no war that is waged purely by the few and felt only by the few. there is no suffering of the many that will not threaten the few. there is no society built on violence and fear that does not eventually fall. nothing is built to last forever, but terror least of all.

Headcanon: loving styles

Russia: He doesn’t see people in romantic sense for the most part, as he usually treats them as friends or family at most if they’re kind and affectionate to him. Not strictly aromantic nor asexual, just that he wants friends and family more than romantic partners so he acts in accordance to those wishes. He’s far from being a prude tho, but because he sometimes has weird ideas about sex or not understanding the ethics well enough he usually needs more mature partners with good boundaries or partners who are similarly strong and resilient so they can handle him well. Gender is of no importance because he doesn’t really see it himself, and maybe he sometimes doesn’t even perceive the differences between men and women because he really doesn’t care (he’s baby).

Mongolia: hard and fast but hardly possessive. Very in-the-moment loving style so he doesn’t really think in the terms of long term relationships. Prefers casual or open relationships but can be loyal if his partner(s) want that from him. Can easily cut his partners off too without looking back if whatever it is between them has expired, or if it’s unsalvageable because he has pretty low tolerance for drama these days. As he’s a very physical person, he channels intimacy through touch for the most part, and sparring can easily turn sensual. Sometimes has multiple partners at the same time, and his partners typically have to be the same relaxed people to avoid problem and drama about basically anything.

He used to be possessive once, and had been treated possessively in return to detriment, which made him think it was so much a pain that he doesn’t want relationships with super possessive people anymore these days, and he stopped being possessive himself after he lost a lot in his life. Unlike Kazakhstan though, he’s far from being naive about relationships as he has had experiences under his belt (he had more options historically than Kazakhstan) and he’s much better at people. O hello! This kind of acknowledgment makes me wanna get better at it. Haven't tried doing anything after the last patch- what are your thoughts on it? I know it balanced a bunch of stuff, but personally, do you have any new favorites?

Mmmm crabs... I'll be dead honest, the first time I saw them, I didn't approach nor bother, but somehow coming back to ds3 and comparing them, elden ring crabs seem weaker? Definitely easier to kill imo.

Another thing is. I really want to know the lore reason behind sleep crabs in Raya Lucaria. And the reason why the fuck there are crabs inside the academy at all. Like lmao? I guess? The iron maiden makes some sense, considering stuff, but giant crabs... sleep crabs. Were there entire fields of lilies for them to eat?? Where can I find those?? Lol.

Also I wonder if there are frenzy crabs. Cuz why the fuck not lol. Haven't found any tho.

Oooo actually I had a similar conversation with a friend recently. We decided that the Lands Between are probably the mildest world you can end up in, if you had to choose between all soulsbornes, especially if you're just some person.

I'm gonna make a lot of assumptions here so bear with me:

Say, I end up in the Lands Between in the mysterious ways of isekai genre. I will read it as that I 1) am not connected to life in this world, therefore untouched by grace, nor can I interact with it, and 2) am not noticed by anything or anyone, as my arrival just happens, therefore nothing and nobody is alerted by this strange happenstance of a world travel.

Now, if both of my assumptions are true, short-term I'll be looking for other people who are not soldiers. "I just came here" seems to work well as an excuse for the tarnished, but since I am not one, the initial suspicion of some gracelost nonsense is not happening (hopefully). Maybe I can trade something I had on me or found. Maybe.

Long-term, I'm staying in Limgrave because fuck all that noise. If my goal is to stay alive, this is my best bet. To find a shack and to try and get things together is not impossible, and I have some skill and knowledge living in a very rural area. If I'm lucky, I will last, and maybe with a small community to back me up.

...now, if my second assumption is false, this whole pastoral plot is rapidly falling apart. Perhaps I am not important enough to bother with for Outer Gods and other entities (still on the fence about what the Full Moon and Dark Moon are in ER), but if something of this grade- or someone keen enough- sees an even deeper fissure in the world, they may come looking closer at it.

Considering that I cannot interact with Grace nor see it, ascension via runes is unavailable to me in any way, even if I'd meet a million of maidens or Melinas. Jjba Stardust Crusaders Ep. 30-33 Thoughts

Iggy goes to do fuck all while the rest of the crew splits in two.

Before I actually talk about the episodes, I wanna briefly give my opinion on the OVA. I haven't watched past part 10 obviously but I think it's important I'll mention it in a later post.

I vastly prefer 2010 anime over the OVA. The production value of the anime is just way higher. The dark tone of the OVA doesn't fit JJBA tbh.

BUT. I actually kinda love them? They have their charm. The darker alternative take is fun, if it was the only animated JJBA option I wouldn't be satisfied with it but as an alternative it's nice. Polnareff and Kakyoin's expressions in the N'Doul episodes are just so funny.

There is a thing or two it does better than the current anime and the manga I think. I really like Kakyoin's portrayal in some of the episodes. There is awkwardness to his mannerisms that you would expect from a teenager, that is not present in the anime OR the manga. His build is also a lot more closer to your average teenager too. That being said, OVA Jotaro runs in the opposite direction by looking 40 in some of the episodes. I don't wanna talk about that tho since everyone has talked about it death.

Also the long haired Star Platinum is pretty sick ngl. Looks even more like Bruford.

Ep. 30-31 (Mariah)

Oohh boy. I don't do well with second hand embarrasment. There are a lot of embarrasing moments in part 2 and 3 but these two episodes are filled to the brim with them. From the walking stairs to entering ladies restrooms to the y'know what. Managed to push thru tho!!

I've noticed a trend with the second half of SC of putting more attention the the stand users. With more iconic designs an all. I wouldn't call Mariah's design original, it just gets the job done (The job being looking conventionally hot).

Advol being really proud about digging a hole to avoid the train is kind of endearing :)

I thought the back and forth between Mariah and Joseph at the end was nice. Joseph's va was especially good in it (R.I.P. Unshō Ishizuka). Mariah saying she'd be down to be with him despite their ages being far apart is really funny considering Dio is tecnically 130+ years old.

Mariah's motivation is a bit of a downgrade compared to N'Doul before her. I mean, being down bad was only part of the reason why he was following Dio, c'mon.

Yeah I don't wanna talk more about this episode. Sorry to all (both) people reading this for reminding you about Ep 31.

Ep. 32-33 (Alessi)

Look at baby Chariot. No don't look away,, you will look at him and you will appreciate him.

Let's also take a moment to appreciate Set not being given to any other person, because the only thing keeping Pol and Jotaro from dying is Alessi being one of the stupidest mfers in the show.

I bet everyone has mentioned this before but I don't care, this was such a good opportunity to bring back part 2 Joseph that it hurts. If you are can do all that fanservice the episode before you can certainly do a part 2 Joseph cameo. I can't complain too much, I do love these episodes as is.

I would say Jotaro not recognizing the earings and the clothes of kid Polnareff is stupid but he thought Joseph's story was bs while having an evil spirit following him, like, in the first episode. So. Not out of character really.

I like the detail of Kid Chariot being more like a sentient companion since kid Polnareff is not fully attuned to his stand yet. It even reaches for Pol when he is drowning :(

If I had a nickel every time Jotaro casually walked into Polnareff dealing with one of Dio's goons without fully knowing what's going on, then beating the shit out of the goon; I'd have two nickels. It isn't a lot but it's pretty funny that it happened twice.

Kid Jotaro kicking ass and then rolling up his sleeve just so he can point and say a cool one liner is killing me. Jotaro is secretly the funniest character in the show.

Overall, I do like these episodes a lot. It's silly and fanservicey in a completely different way from the last episodes. The "your favourite glup shitto has a cameo in the new movie" kind. Seeing baby versions of our favourite characters is something most of us would like. I'm over here not shutting up about baby Chariot. It's like baby yoda. Clearly it worked on me.

Jotaro and Polnareff's interactions this episode really helped to show their friendship. It's hard to remember that fact sometimes with how Jotaro especially is but they really do care about eachother.

I wanna do 34-39 next, then 40-44, lastly 45-48. Seems like the most logical way of going about it.

I know in my heart that the confrontation with Dio is NOT gonna go well. No one has died yet and considering JJBA's track record, yeah, I don't think they'll all make it alive. I did say Kakyoin was my favourite early on but I do love all of them, it's gonna hurt real bad no matter what.

I wanted to say how your blog and comments on things really changed my opinions on many topics, even tho some of these people I admire, or tbh used to admire. Now I don’t enjoy the hype or the personality because it is fake.

I saw the recent pictures of HC and how people really lost their minds over them. For once, they looked like a normal couple, she even looked tired and was relieved her dog is okay.

People were criticizing her because she was smiling in a picture, why would she not be smiling after getting her dog and everyone else is smiling as well?!! People are truly exaggerating.

Although she has been sneaky on social media, there is no denying.

I used to think Henry was innocent and he has no saying in this, sort of against his wish. But why would this be the case every time he is with someone?

After 2 years, why would people still be in denial that he wants her around and he is the one hanging on to this relationship like a koala.

There is no way he hasn’t seen her old pictures and videos, he saw them and chose to move on, it didn’t change the way he felt about her. I also think at that time, he was really excited to be in a relationship, he’s been single for a while.

Keep in mind, I don’t think she is any different than the mean 16 years old girl, or her model mayhem account. He wanted to polish her image before going public, if not, her model mayhem account wouldn’t have been deleted, nor her entire instagram and twitter history. I think he tried to suppress the inner party girl in her, but he won’t be able to do that forever.

She will miss it as well, even if they take this in a more serious way, it contradicts everything Henry has ever said before. Which proves my point, his public image is nothing but a lie, he just gets away with things because he’s good looking.

What you said about opinions means so so much to me. I don't want to change people's opinions, I don't think my way is the only way even if I have strong views on some things. However, I believe in 2 sided conversations because life is not simple. Not at all. And I feel we are living in very dangerous times where opinions are silenced, labelled radical etc just because they are "old fashioned" or not " progressive" enough. I would love to discuss more serious topics here, and give a platform to conversations while I remain true to myself and what I believe in.

Those pictures you mentioned were so surprising to me too because they truly looked like a real, happy, ordinary, normal couple instead of the SM push. It was refreshing.

Well, I won't lie here because I really see part of Sukuna in your personality. It's not that he's an antagonist and he's trying to murder people. I think his romantic relationship would be quite different. He would have acted differently.

Mostly people don't care. They can do what they like, go wherever they want and think about God knows what. He doesn't care. And he would never care about it. Because he just doesn't care. He is almost emotionless when he sees a human being. Unless he thinks of it as the wind, he'll just know someone is standing there. There are two options. OKAY SO. okay. tbh i'm not completely sure what i like the most but it's probably a combo of the art design/style + gameplay + characters. the art i'd say is incredibly beautiful and unique !!! the designs are really lovely and all (esp as someone who is a big fan of greek mythology which is one factor as to why i love the game so much!) <3 the gameplay is REALLY fun. and good. it's a roguelike game and it actually ties to the game's concept of death and resurrection ?? (underworld stuff. zag is literally the god of rebirth) and it's REALLY good at what it does. very addicting. no run is exactly the same and i personally didn't think i'd be fond of roguelike games but hades just really hits with it !! (a lot of people who don't like roguelike games seem to think this way too). tbh if hades is your kinda game then it genuinely is. sort of. really a Perfect Game ?? story + gameplay + visuals are like the three pillars of it and as far as i personally know all of that is just incredibly good. the protag is likeable, the other characters are likeable, i don't know some of the most important story bits yet but so far it truly is very interesting, each run is connected to the last (such that if you get a different boss, zag actually says smth abt that! it is a very fluid game. if that's properly describing it). LOWKEY EVERYONE IN THE GAME IS HOT. most likely bcs of the artstyle which is really just so nice <3 BUT YEAH i don't really like roguelikes bcs you kinda restart progress right? but hades really feels productive with each run (i even look forward to dying in game!!!!!) and there's so much failure but i don't really feel frustrated. it's a really rewarding game imo and no wonder a lot of people considered it to be their goty of 2020 (and it won a few awards for that too i think) <33 SORRY FOR RAMBLING SO MUCH BUT YEAH .... the game genuinely is just so good. also the voice acting is actually great. ALSO the romance options are super cool (AND POLY IS ACTUALLY POSSIBLE I THINK.
