Is that flashback from his "past life" or the future? Are the past, present and future happening at the same time because he is about to die? Or is he already dead and he actually died in the elevator on his way to the exam? But that wouldn't explain the vision of the woman on the street....

I am lost, this show is very good at keeping the mystery a mysterious. I feel like next week won't be less confusing.
