I'm definitely not currently writing a fanfic about Late Diagnosed Autistic Percy who was punished for stimming as a child and Autistic Annabeth who got yelled at for stimming by her step-mother but was diagnosed only a year after she got to camp because her older sister recognized the signs.

It's definitely not focused around Percy info dumping onto Annabeth (who absolutely loves it) and him getting very excited and stimming only to panic because of all the times stimming was "trained out of him." And Annabeth bringing him back and assuring him that there's nothing broken with him and that he wasn't doing anything wrong.

A hope i have for Pjo+ is that they further fix Percy and Annabeth's relathionship like they've already started to by removing Annabeth degrading Percy's intellegence and level of maturity all the time.I can tolerate it for TLT because she's 12 but i'm sorry,that just won't do for a good dynamic later on at all,much less a romantic one if their goal is positive neurodivergent and black girl rep.You cannot tell me that a black girl being made to bully her autistic best friend for not being gifted with natural super intellegence like her and acting goofy and silly to cope with his trauma which is only being greatly made worse as the series' events progress is anything but painting us as overly aggressive and unaccepting of anyone that dosen't live up to our standards and actively hurting both black and nonblack autistic people watching the show,ESPECIALLY because Annabeth being autistic too is becoming a popular headcanon.They can bicker all they want,it's fun to watch and it adds to their characters but the writers need to have Annabeth grow out the habit i mentioned because it's almost 2024 y'all,we never had the need to refuse to give female characters development for the sake their male interests but now we're old enough to know it

something i think everyone forgets about heroes of olympus is that literally no one thought they would come out alive. like all these 15 year olds were like "yeah ik going on this quest from california to rome will probably kill me or one of my best buddies but YOLO" like what how are we all so ok about this
