I also like the subtle changes to the relationship set-up between Ichigo and Aoyama. In the original two versions we were introduced to Ichigo as already being in love with Aoyama for the same superficial reasons every other girl in school also is.

I enjoy that this Ichigo had a casual crush since like... this week... and the thing that actually pulls her in deeper is specifically a sense for what is lying under the perfect facade.

I also like that this Ichigo is less bored by the idea of environmentalism and seems like she is going to actually get pulled into that interest out of own personal drive rather than just to impress a boy.

It really does a lot to improve their compatibility further!

It's time for a villain spotlight!

I took inspiration from the 2004 Batman show for Rag doll's appearance, but also mixed the costumes of both Peter Merkel (OG) and Jr (His son) and mixed them together. Though I do recall in your written description in chapter 37, he was barefoot and had a once green shirt. I just didn't make the shirt oversized. I just really like The Batman (2004) I don't think it gets enough love. Also he looks creepier this way.

I don't know if he looks better with or without eyes, so I'll just leave it up to interpretation or just go back and re read Chasing the Light.

As for Nimbus I just drew him in the black outfit he wore in the show and made him look more threatening by making him look as if he's always in a partially gaseous state. I gave his eyes and skin a cool sickly green glow, along with black bubbles within the gas to show the toxicity of the gas.

Now it's time for the Crime family duo!

I wanted Snart to look the same, but with a somewhat comic accurate coat with the gold belt and the cool goggles 🥽

Lisa on the other hand looks very different from her Tv show counterpart. I gave her back her comic book blonde hair and gave her a gold jacket, necklace, belt and her gun. I also kept the white shirt since her comic costume currently is gold and white. I feel like she wore more black than gold in the cw show, which is odd for someone called the Golden Glider.

Then again maybe she did, I mean it's been awhile since I've watched the Flash sooo.... yep.

I think I was just having fun making everyone look similar to the comics, but also still giving love to the Flash show. Although, they really need to chill out with the leather and muted colors on costumes. They're getting better, but my point still stands.

Ignore my cyclops OC and focus on Earth-66 Wally West. He has a tool in his hand and is ready to make a difference in the world! He even has his mustard jacket and some red shoes! Even when he's not kid flash he's representing!

It is amazing how much tension Andor is able to build up even though we know these characters have to survive to show up in later stories. If you aren't watching this series you are robbing yourself of some of the best storytelling Star Wars has ever had.

Chef snog. It's brilliant. Hanging by the thread. Very on the edge. You just can't escape. I laughed so much when I read the play since it's hilarious but this film?? yes I did laugh but like, tragically. It's so GOOD.

They have like, 10 actors and the bare minimum set for the whole 2 hours and they make it WORK. It's simple, affective, practical, very German.

It's on youtube. For those who doesn't speak german then I encourage you to read the english version of the play first. Don't worry you will still be emraptured by the film

Gaming Shill of the Day: Final Fantasy IV

Hello everyone and welcome to my unhinged rant about one of my favorite games from when I was smaller;

Final Fantasy IV.

I was gifted a copy of it and have been no-lifing the fuck out of it ever since, and man. MAN have I missed this game.

It is genuinely a really awesome game. It has held up, in my honest opinion.

The gameplay itself is fun and somewhat challenging at times, the characters are endearing, the music...

GOD the music is SO GOOD.

I know it's a Final Fantasy title but FUCK man. It's so iconic. It's so good. I am so happy to be able to play this game again.

The tl;dr and non-spoiler plot is that you mainly play as a dark knight named Cecil, following him after he begins defying the King of Baron, his adoptive father, when he starts ordering him to go on a warpath to grab crystals from all over the world. He defies him, gets stripped of his orders, and finds himself desperately trying to help all manner of people before Baron can get their claws on them.

The characters that filter in and out of the party all have unique and wonderful characteristics, and the gameplay feels very nice. Traversing the map doesn't take too long, there isn't too much grinding to be done (take this with a grain of salt -- this was one of my favorite games when I was smaller! So I may have a bit of an advantage), it's just. So fucking good dude.

I don't want to give much away because m a n, being able to experience it for the first time is amazing. I still remember crying when I got to the end of it all my first time. It's good. I promise.

Please. If you can, do yourself a favor and find a way to play it. Both the 3D version or OG 16-bit are fine. It's on steam and there's ROMs for it if you can get it running on an emulator. It's not a super super super long game, it's decently beginner friendly -- remember, I haven't touched this game in over a DECADE and I'm not having that much trouble with it -- it tells a good story and is simply good. I'd love to say more but I really do not want to spoil it.

So yeah uh. That's it. FFIV is amazing.
