I feel like in season one they did a great job of spacing out information to build mystery and intrigue throughout the story so it always felt like the story was building and the world was expanding with each episode despite the fact that our characters were in the same office most of the time.

but in season two there doesn’t rlly feel like there’s a consistent through-line that we’re building towards. it’s just kinda cold harbor now and that’s it. a lot of moments happen without them directly affecting other events or we skip over a lot of the fallout. it’s all just less cohesive, each character’s plots are rlly separate and then they don’t rlly come together ever. and we’re introduced to information that the narrative and characters just sit on and do nothing with for episodes at a time and so the overall progression feels stagnant even tho there’s more plot lines than last season.

like instead of the story feeling like it’s slowly building like s1, season two feels like it’s delaying developments (even tho they totally have the time to do more with them). It’s not like the worst handled thing ever tho, just less tight than before.

My brother recently got into Demon Slayer so I wanted to make a kny oc for him since I did it before with both me and my sister and never got around to my brother :)

But I started by refreshing my own design because wow?? It’s been 4 years since I first made my kny insert character and a lot of things are now outdated! Not to mention my art has improved a lot, I hope. More details under the cut!

Meet Ebisu Koharu: youngest of the Ebisu family and physically the weakest. They only barely passed Final Selection by hiding for the entire week and surviving off tips from their older siblings. Nonetheless, they still want to contribute, which is why they hold onto a thick, leather bound book that records every demon they’ve ever met in precise detail, with labeled diagrams and scribbled calculations in the margins of different strengths and weaknesses.

After spending a few years on the job, and properly seeing their data contribute to the successes of other demon slayers, they’ve come a bit more into their own as a competent researcher and fighter, though they still do tend to request paired missions with friends and family to act more as a support role rather than a fighter.

The Ebisu family is one of scholars. The eldest daughter Kaoru is a doctor, and the eldest son Shougen is a chemist. By nature, fighting is not necessarily their strong suit, which is why their family breathing style and techniques are all poison-assisted. Of the three, Koharu is the weakest and most averse to combat— they wield a short half-length blade, with more of a smooth ceremonial hilt and sheath than any practical weapon.

Opinion on Ricardo Morales?

ooh… my opinion on this guy is… ehh, complicated? we have so little info on him that i don’t want to jump the gun on making assumptions, but tbh… i don’t trust him.

i don’t think that he’s actively malicious, not by a long shot. i mean, as far as we know, he’s at least TRYING, and that counts for a lot against an opponent like Doctor Zor, but he’s certainly got his fair share of faults. most of what we know about his character comes from his interactions with Prism, and he sure as heck did not handle that situation well even a little bit. did he MEAN to drive Prism out of the Agency? i doubt it. is that what happened? yes. and i think that he is fully capable of doing the same to Agent Phoenix. (it’s lightly implied he already did that to another head agent, after all. at the very least, he didn’t help) would he? i don’t know, probably not, but i believe he could, which makes him dangerous

i have my fair share of theories on the subject, but i feel that Morales may be an evolved version of Reginald from the first game: obviously he doesn’t WANT anyone to die, but… he’s expecting it. so he doesn’t care as much as he should, and that hurts people. if presented the choice (and idk if he will be, i don’t have the faintest idea where the series is going next) i think he could just as easily throw us to the wolves or become a true and vital ally that helps finish this for good and all. i don’t really have enough info to form a more solid opinion tho lol

I don't think I get like triggered by things really but maybe it happened today?? in my most annoying class with my most annoying teacher we've been going over the same domestic violence worksheet for like two weeks and the room was really hot and stuffy and I suddenly felt so so queasy. then straight after in English we also brushed over that 😭 but in a more valuable and speculative manner at least. like in the first class we were talking about statistics and how young men view it/perpetuate it and she suggested linking it to our own experiences?? err no?

So yes canonically Thorsten is a reincarnated witch (which I got), but I'm still confused -- did he (or his medieval-witch-self) write the book of spells in the 1600s? Was Thorsten the Hüter der Schwelle all along???? (The illustration/drawing does look like Thorsten....)
