@mystech-master The commission did very bad things to Hawks. :(
The context is the woman talking is Lady Nagant, who Keigo replaced. They have the same job. And in the flashback, she recounts being told to kill people over and over— sometimes needlessly— to uphold their vision for society. When she tried questioning them, they subtly threaten to kill her (so she kills the president eventually and defects).
Having to do this over and over broke Lady Nagant's spirit so badly she began to see her hands as covered in blood and flinches away from kids who approach her (a parallel to Keigo, by the way, when Tokoyami tells him "your hands aren't dirty, Hawks").
So she's surprised that Keigo isn't completely broken by his history, too. He answers that he wasn't alone, and that he's an optimist (Keigo is extremely resilient! To the point that it's scary!). But still. He looks so sad/contemplative when she asks him the question. Like he knows EXACTLY what she's talking about. She doesn't even have to say it, he just knows. All she has to say is "my soul couldn't take it anymore. How do you still have that look in your eye?"
There's also a parallel right before then when AFO hires Nagant and then tries to kill her when she fails her mission, and Keigo says "He used you, but don't let it end like that."
Don't die as someone used.
Keigo does not say this simply because of what AFO did. Lady Nagant has always been used. Keigo knows that better than anyone.

Since Cinder is part Grimm now and has been for a while. You think she gets a rush off of negative emotions? Might be why she’s gotten a lot more hands on with her destruction, so she can be around the negativity
OOOOOOOH, I LOVE THIS?? I actually didn't think much about the negative emotions specifically, but the idea of the Grimm corrupting Cinder has always interested me, like, I can see this happening
Could keep adding to the fact that her 'femme fatale' façade fell and she just keeps like, becoming angrier and a bit more feral, ridden by her own emotions
Ridden by her own negative emotions because at the same time, they may feed the Grimm in her

Once I'm gone
Once i'm gone, if you wish to know a little more about me, you may read the books i've left behind. In them you'll find all the lives i've lived and all the characters i've known. You may find my mind in the form of my annotations, you may find my heart in the form of all the characters i've loved, you may find my happiness in the form of all the adventures and feelings those books hold, and you may find me in there too, because those books made me who i am, taught me what i know and shaped me into the person you know.
So once i'm gone, look for me in my other lives, look for me in my books. You'll find me there, reliving all my adventures in the form of memory. Because i've left a little bit of myself in every book i've ever read and i created a little bit of who i am with each one of those books as well.

Fun fact! In some rare occasions folks who have been alcoholics for long enough can develop hobbies or skills that they only know how to do while drunk, because at that point they’ve only ever done the thing while drunk
Ooo that's so cool! Reminds me of sleep-talents

Huh....I’ve never listened to the whole kh3 secret episode in jp before, just the bad ending (which I also highly recommend watching). It’s strange...it gives me quite a different impression of Yozora but I’m not sure how to explain it. He does have a much softer voice in jp but it’s not just that. He sounds a lot less annoyed and more just. Tired. With everything. Exhausted. And almost sounds relieved when Sora tells him his name, like- “Finally, I found you”.

I started reading the original TMNT comics by Eastman and Laird and I gotta say, I didn't expect the 2003 series to be the most faithful adaptation.

I thought there was something wrong with my throat, like allergies or what not, but apparently it's just HRT doing its work with my vocal cords.
Also my voice keeps warbling and cracking and it's kind of funny.

Waypoint: Much of SIGNALIS is about ambiguity. It's hard to tell what did or didn't actually happen, but much of it feels emotionally real. It gives the game weight. When crafting the story and the journey these characters go on, did you start with specifics and work backwards, or has the hazy ambiguity always been there?
Yuri: SIGNALIS went through many iterations. I always felt a strong urge for the story to have a dream-like quality, but often felt things ended up feeling a little too banal, so I'd reflect on what my dreams feel like and applied that to the way we told the story.
[...]
Waypoint: Yuri, you recently had a tweet thread about the game's endings, and how people are responding to them. Specifically, that some are interpreting some endings as "good" or "bad" when the intention was more ambiguous. Can you talk about the design process for coming up with the game's endings, and how players achieve each one? Were you prepared for players to be confused?
Yuri: It might have been phrased poorly, but my tweet was really only meant to be an observation on the dynamic of telling first-time players how to feel about their ending. We were always aware that a lot of people would grade the endings on a classic good-bad scale, so we tried to balance the presentation of each story outcome a little based on this expectation, but I think we might have overdone it a little in some cases.
Barbara: Endings are determined based on the players’ overall playstyle. It was not our intention that players replay the game to try to get another ending. Rather, we wanted for each player to get an ending that fits their playstyle.
