We all agree that Yuji calls Megumi every cute nickname he can think of (darling, baby, honey, my love, my sweet pie, my cinnamon roll, my love, my dear, kitty, Megs, etc.) and Megumi internally always freaks out that this happens.

Yuji's love language being physical touch is so important to me... Him needing to hold or be held by his friends and family frequently bc it makes him feel safe and wanted. The three first years hanging out and Nobara is only willing to tolerate Yuji's cuddles in short bursts so Megumi gets the brunt of it... Yuji smothering Megumi with affection and Megumi's kinda repressed so it's overwhelming... but he's gay and loves Yuji so he secretly adores the attention!

Don't even get me started on baby Yuji's cuddles... Jin absolutely enabled and encouraged this so when he died poor Wasuke was left with a cuddly beast. Combined with Yuji's inhuman strength that poor old man has got to have some bone fractures from his hugs. As Yuji grew up he learned to be more gentle but the need for physical contact never lessened. After his grandpa died and he moved to the jujutsu dormitories he was more hesitant to cross that boundary with his new acquaintances but with the trauma of the cursed womb and him dying he came back with the intense need to be comforted. Megumi and Nobara didn't know how to deal with Yuji clinging to them at first but after a while they became used to it. They only complain when it's hot out and they've got 176 lbs of Yuji draped over their backs as they try to go about their day.

after everything, megumi still has the nightmares to deal with. the worst part is that they aren’t even entirely made-up, more like a patchwork of flashbacks and this feeling under his skin like he’s not the one moving his limbs.

yuji has them too, but he’s had them for longer and learned his own little tricks to deal with them. megumi still sits up in the middle of the night with a gasp, panting and sweating and scrambling away from yuji.

“what if it isn’t just me,” he asks with so much fear in his voice that it breaks yuji’s heart. “don’t come close, what if it isn’t just me?”

“okay,” yuji always placates him, goes with it, because he knows just how deep this fear runs. it’s no use trying to argue. “let’s test it, then. do what i say, ok?”

megumi nods, still as far as their little bed allows him to go, back flush against the wall.

“raise your left hand.”

megumi raises his left hand.

“raise your right one.”

megumi does.

“make a fist with your hands, and then unclench your fingers one by one.”

as if he’s counting his own breaths, megumi flexes his fingers open slowly. yuji nods encouragingly.

“what’s my favorite breakfast?”

at this, megumi smiles a little, caught off guard. “eggs and curry, extra spicy.”

yuji nods again, more enthusiastic. “see? it’s you. here, final test.” he takes megumi’s hand and guides it up to his neck. megumi tries to pull back, eyes wide in fear, but yuji’s grip is sure. “trust me.”

tentatively, megumi rests his hand on his throat, the ghost of a touch, barely there at all.

“we can count to ten together.”

still mute with fear, megumi only manages a curt nod. his breath comes in shallow gasps, muscles tense and ready to jump. they count. 7, 8, 9, and 10.

“see? it’s just you.” yuji raises his own hand and wraps it around megumi’s fist, rubbing his thumb over the back of his hand in soothing circles. “it’s just you, and you would never hurt me.”

they don’t fall back asleep, but they do lie back down, and megumi pulls yuji close against his chest, like only he would.

JJK Fic Plagiarism

An itafushi fic on ao3 called And They Were Roommates by picassoscat is plagiarising my own fic The Long Con. With every new chapter they update, they steal more scenes from my work. Please read and share this to spread the word!

In August, multiple strangers messaged me out of the blue to tell me TLC was being copied. Initially I figured someone had simply been inspired by the tropes I used. But when I read ATWR for myself, it wasn’t just the same premise — it was straight up theft of my prose.

Picassoscat steals 2-3 of my scenes per chapter of their fic on average, interspersed with some alternating POVS and superficial aesthetic changes to my plot. They’ve even copied my authors notes to try and pass off my story decisions/headcanons as their original research.

When I first discovered ATWR, it had 4 chapters. A month later, it now has 7 chapters, and the vast majority of paragraphs in them are still lifted directly from my fic. I’ve left comments alerting readers to this fact — those comments were instantly deleted by the author.

I’ve since been blocked, and logged out accounts can no longer leave comments. So clearly they know what they’re doing and they’re trying to stop their readers from finding out.

Nobody should get support or praise for stealing from other writers.

I genuinely don’t have the words to describe the pain and heartache I’ve been through this month. It is extremely upsetting, and personally distressing, to watch someone claim my hard work and take credit for a fic that is so deeply meaningful to me.

Picassoscat has already bookmarked several other popular itfs works, and I don’t want them to repeat this with any other jjk writer. They didn’t stop when I spoke up alone, and I doubt they’d stop for other authors either if they get enough “success” from stealing mine.

I’ve already filed a report with ao3, so there’s no need to for other people to do the same. I also don’t want anyone to contact the author — moderators will take care of that in due time. But I’d be grateful if you could help me spread awareness about what’s going on. It can take months for an abuse report on ao3 to be processed. I can’t stay silent that long while picassoscat continues to upload my chapters every other week, and readers who don’t know better keep rewarding them with comments and kudos.

Please share this thread so that the jjk fic community is aware of what’s happening. Bookmark ATWR with a note that it isn’t original work, to inform anyone who checks its bookmarks/visits your ao3 (be civil about it though, harassing the author won’t help).

Furthermore, if you know anyone who is reading And They Were Roommates or you see anyone post about it, please link them back to this thread, or to my fic The Long Con.

For obvious reasons, I won’t update The long Con or any of my other fics again until this situation is resolved.

Idk if you wanted me to do itfs again so I'm gonna just do them as a ship as well as the characters separately lol.

Megumi: he doesn't specifically name his shikigami because he's knows naming them will make him even more attached and will thus make him grieve more if they're killed.

Yuuji: he was so broken after Shibuya that he couldn't bring himself to cry until Megumi found him because he finally felt safe enough to do so.

Itafushi: Yuuji is the only one Megumi will go out of his way to touch first. Megumi doesn't really like to be touched so he doesn't generally reach out, but he's the one making subtle touches first with Yuuji.

A parentified Jon sounds absolutely fitting. I could even see Lonny in this au. Maybe not in the family but in their periphery and of course he is big in the militia. And oh, the Harringtons would have expectations! Not less then the perfect picture of a socially acceptable PDS sufferer. (Or an au to your au: if they had the possibility, they could hide the fact Steve had died and risen. No PDS sufferer in this family!) All the drama! <3

I remember there being a lot of petitions for a third season floating around, so the fans definitely wanted it! There's gotta be some fic about a season 3 out there somewhere.

Parentified Jon is just canon tbh, but it would be worse in this AU i think. I don't think about the Byers' a lot, but my one headcanon is that Jon moves out and goes no contact post ST canon. But that's off topic! Lonnie! I had totally forgotten about him, but you're right, he would join the militia. Probably enjoy the power, use it as an opportunity to get money.

And the Harringtons! I love the Harringtons, they're so interesting. I bet they wish they could pretend that Steve never died, that he's still their perfect son, that the Harrington's are the perfect family. Mrs Harrington telling Steve he looks sick when he doesn't wear his cover up at home, asking him what he wants for dinner. Mr Harrington telling Steve he needs to get out there and make something of himself, no lazing about. Both very much ignoring the elephant in the room.

Their son is undead, doesn't eat food, his hair doesn't grow. He can't go to college or get a job. He's stuck.

I used to hate him and think he was truly yhe worst character ever until I realized he just like me for real. A sap trying to adapt to a system that doesnt allow mercy or kindness or to even cry. Constantly pretending like you have everything under control because the alternative is admitting you dont. And thus showing weakness in a system where that isnt allowed.

I saw him in me and I cried thinking about it because I had the luxury to do so.

Headcanon that Kieren ate breakfast with his family before he left the last time, and it was the first time he’d willingly come downstairs in weeks. But he came down and seemed lighter to his family than before and even responded a little to questions and ate most of his meal. Then told them he was going to go out, even said a general “love you” to them all the way Jem did in 2.03. 

His parents thought it was good for him to get some fresh air, so they thought nothing of it at first, and they went to work/Jem went off to school. It was only when everyone was home together that they really started to worry, especially since they had all assumed he was back in his room until Jem went to call him for dinner.

But I think by the time Kieren came down for breakfast he’d already made up his mind. I think he did wander around the outskirts of Roarton for a day or two, both sort of going to places that held memories for him and then trying to clear his head.

I think Kieren had wanted to just disappear for quite a while by then, and it had only been the slight hope that Rick would return and things might get better that was stopping him. And when Rick died, he had nothing left. Because Rick was Kieren’s only source of comfort and protection. It was only because of Rick that Kieren didn’t feel so utterly alone and victimized. I think he had imagined a future with Rick, and then when Rick died, he saw absolutely nothing in his future. So I think his decision had been stewing for a while, at least since Rick left. He’d had a plan in mind for a while and I think one day it just got to be too much and he made a decision.

So Kieren comes downstairs at peace with his decision because for once his future is decided and he’s going to get away from all the pain that he’s feeling from his own depression and the grief of Rick’s death and the way the others in Roarton antagonize him. Because Kieren’s death wasn’t a cry for help; he chose to die somewhere where it would be difficult to find him. He brought the swiss army knife with him; his decision was made from at least when he decided to leave the house.

Because I think people took Rick’s departure as a signal for open season on Kieren Walker. He didn’t have anyone to defend him anymore. Rick was Kieren’s support system and his only friend in a hostile territory. Without him, I think they were a bit less subtle towards him in general, but I also think that Kieren’s anxiety skyrocketed and everything was even worse because of that. Everything went to shit because all the little houses of cards that Kieren built inside himself no longer had Rick to block the wind and so he fell apart as soon as Rick left.

So he just wanted to disappear. He wanted to stop being seen by the people of Roarton, wanted to stop being so obvious an outsider. He probably thought himself a pitiable burden to his family as well. All the years of depression and anxiety and bullying and having to hide built up so thickly with the added loss and grief of Rick. The inside of his own head was anxious and sad and desperate and torturous and way too much, too overwhelming. He wanted to disappear from it all, and I think one day that thought suddenly manifested itself as an actual coherent idea, and then a decision, and then he came down for breakfast one last time. He didn’t leave a note because he really did just want to disappear. Leaving a note would mean someone would come look for him, leaving a note would mean someone would remember him and people would think about him. I think he just wanted to stop existing entirely, as himself but also as anything at all.

Headcanon ITFS 4#

After it's all over and all that's left are scars and mangled limbs, Megumi kisses each of the scars Yuji has. In the beginning, this touches Yuji a lot to the point where he almost cries at the kindness, and although he is still charmed by Megumi's kindness, he is more fun and lighthearted about it.

There are times when both spend nights just kissing each other's scars, healing both the outer and the inner.

isn’t that what they call a conundrum? one of you will end up dead and the other with his heart broken. would you be this selfish, let him live knowing you’re dooming him to a lifetime of misery, only because you’re not strong enough to do the one thing he asked you to?

no. if you have the choice, you’ll always doom yourself. never him, never him, never him.

“it won’t get to that,” you say firmly, a little louder than necessary just in case the universe is listening behind the door and needs a reminder of your intentions.

you want to be mad at him for putting you in this position, for asking of you the one thing you can’t give him, but he offers you a smile in relief and the wound is already closing before he’s even finished cutting it.

Headcanons for Bruno's kid in the future AU please?

oh, and I've been working on a fic where Bruno adopts a little guy as well! I hope you do not mind. I just love the idea of Bruno with small children :)

Headcannons!!!! These are from the ITF AU.

Bruno's kid feels a little out of place in the family, since he is technically an outsider

He's the youngest of the entire family- and most of his cousins treat him as such

He can create portals with his hands, and his 'casita' is a shark tooth around his neck, appropriatly named Shark Tooth, who gave him the powers

At first, Bruno and him spend soooooo much time together, expecially since Bruno's the only one to know English and Jasper, Bruno's kid, doesn't know much spanish

Felix is the first one Jasper gets close too, and then Camilo's the second

Camilo and Jasper would pull sooo many pranks on the townspeople to the point Pepa and Bruno have to tell them to tone it down

Jaspers definitely fallen off the roof before because of Agustine, who was up there trying to fix it after a heavy natural hurricane

Jasper and Mirabel would get on like a house on fire- mainly because Jasper feels the same way as her, since his other cousins kinda treat him like a child that needs be protecting.

Mirabel and Jasper have gone beyond the mountains on little trips- but are always back before dinner

One time Antonio and Jasper pranked Luisa by continuously teleporting her back to her room when she was straining herself to much

Tbh it wasn't really a prank they were just seriously worried about her

Bruno would be a very awkward dad at first, expecially since he now has a equally awkward son to take care of, but he'd get the hang of it after a couple of months

At first though he usually had to go to Julieta to ask for help, since he didn't know how to raise a child.

Jasper is slightly autistic(No not because I am autistic as well wdym?), And whenever he gets to overstimulated he will dissapear for a couple of hours into Bruno's room to calm down

The mice sometimes keeps Jasper company while he hides in Brunos room

Fleshtrap (the baby springtrap from in flesh) actually torments people in rather mundane ways, by saying things like (with an absurdely deep voice for his age) : "You say I'm a bad person, but you only give me nuggies when I'm a good boy" or just being very picky for everything. Yet every babysitter dreads him like the plague and he relishes in it.

First of all, I haven’t read ITF yet- I have only heard rumours and confused screaming

itf esc headcanons/questions

Steve unapologetically adores Eurovision. fancy outfits, insane graphics/lights, how could he not? (he totally bangs on about Swenden’s 2015 winner because ‘look at what they can do nowadays!’)

sue watches more out of tradition than any real interest.

jem actively hated it, not even Lordi could get her to start watching. Now she’s over 18 she can (and will) do all of the drinking games when she’s forced to join in. (she might’ve tried when she was younger but sue quickly put an end to that.)

Kieren never really got into it either but is more indifferent than anything. watching eurovision was the first time he ever saw people proubly waving the LGBT+ flag so he could never hate the show. even if he never felt like he was truly one of them (how were they so out and proud and happy? he couldn’t see himself like that, not living in roarton)

Amy of course ADORES eurovision. She starts throwing viewing parties in the bungalow when she gets back she is not dead ok i will not have it Phil just loves how much Amy loves it. Shirley loves ESC too.

it was never watched in the Macy household because Bill is an evil bastard who won’t let anyone be happy even if it would mean he gets to laugh at all of europe so rick didn’t really get what ren was on about with the ‘grannies’, ‘milkmaids’ and yodelling.

Simon is the surprise though. He acts like it’s not of much interest to him when Kier first mentions that it’s on and steve’s love of it.

but he absolutely adores it, for so many reasons. He can tell you for hours the complete history and relevance of the ESC to the LGBT+ community and how it reflects the change in societies over the years. He loves the ridiculous songs, he loves the over the top ballads. He’s fascinated and infuriated by the politicalness of a contest that tries to pretend politics isn’t relevant. He adores Portugal’s Salvador Sobral.

“It’s art! and expression!” “how is a man wearing a horse’s head expression Simon?!?” “But Kier the songs-” “‘Alcohol is free’? hardly the most poetic and meaningful lyrics?!” “That’s not the point!”

Kier is just baffled by simon’s love. but finds it so endearing.

One day Simon will eventually tell him that he always watched eurovision with his mum. One night every year reserved just for them. and that it was what helped him pick up the courage to come out to her. watching eurovision briefly makes it feel like she’s still around.

was there a ESC during the rising?

if only the uk was effected by the PDS, did they pull out of the conest due to the mayhem?

did the rest of europe carry on like nothing was wrong?

does a PDS sufferer ever get to enter? or if they all come ‘alive’ like it seemed amy was: does a recovered PDS sufferer enter?

ESC reflects societys changes/acceptance surely it’s possible?

but everyone already hates the UK so sending a PDS sufferer could hardly make that much worse?
