fuck you canon in d is such a good song. probably my favourite classical piece. I'm a classical fan aha, except my music taste is all over the place.
if I had to describe my music taste it's literally just "prebby song? prebby song!! *saves it*" but also *looks away from country music*

HCs for G1 Bumblebee, Optimus, Starscream, and Arcee with a human s/o who loves singing
(Seperate)
(Author's note: I headcanon that cybertronians are naturally good singers. I don't know why, i really don't lmao)
(Also most of this will be focused on vocaloid as the music genre. Srry lol)
Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bumblebee
Boi is amazed. Blown away. Stunned.
Can ya blame him tho??
Just frozen in the doorway as he walked in on ya singing
"Sweetspark, you never told me you can sing!"
If you're shy about your voice, don't worry he understands, hes the same.
Small duets, just you and him
If you're not shy about your voice, it inspires him to get over his shyness and yall end up walking the Ark while quietly singing and harmonizing.
Sing Kikuo songs for him, he'll be really surprised when he finds out what the lyrics mean. 🤣
He will question your overall mental health though.
"...wait- thats what that means?? But wha- why is it so catchy- are you okay??!"
Really fun ^^
Of course not every day is sunshine and rainbows, there are times when he comes back extremely sad, tired, or damaged
Just lay him down and sing somethin for him, he'll feel better in a matter of minutes.
You might even put him to sleep
Pls bless this beautiful bot with your voice, it really keeps him going. Especially after a long day.
Optimus Prime
He's impressed to say the least
Turns his audio receptors off and back on, is he hearing this right??
He listens for a while before he says anything.
"My dear spark, what a wondeful voice you have.." he gets closer and takes both your hands into his, then gives you a kiss. "May I hear you again?"
He's so romantic about it aaaaaaaaa
Often times he finds himself humming along to your catchy little melodies
Earth music is fascinating to him, its similar, yet so different
Optimus won't show it but he gets hyped whenever you hit a high note.
He supports you all the way and will never pass up a chance to hear your amazing voice
Starscream
Never though he'd fall in love with a human in the first place but here he is.
Taken aback when he hears you for the first time, no way, a human??? Sounding that amazing?? No way!!!
"...huh.. i wasn't aware humans could sing too.. and dare i say, yours is the best i've ever heard!"
Nobody else gets to hear you, only him.
He keeps you for himself, your now his personal songbird
He loves the little intricate melodies that spill out of you, he just can't help but listen.
Loves Kikuo and Maretu songs. Loves how sad, dark, and negative the energy they give off is.
Starscream isn't much of a musical one himself but he'll hum along, maybe even harmonize if he's feeling up to it.
If you're shy, he'll help you try overcoming your stagefright. Yes he may be evil, but hes not an abusive lover, he doesn't stoop that low. Thats not what love is.
He may be evil, but he supports you.
"You're mine.. my songbird. Nobody can have you, not other humans, not the autobots."
Arcee
Shes so sweet aaaaaa-
When she walks in on you singing, she just stops, sits down and waits for the song to end. A round of applause is given afterward, along with lots of kisses
"You sound amazing, Sweetspark! Music to my audial fins."
If you're shy, she'll understand even though shes the opposite of shy.
She usually goes quiet any time you sing. She just wants to hear you. Nothing else.
There are times where she'll join in though, and oh. my. GOD!!! You two are literally perfect.
Hearing you relaxes her so much. She just adores you.
Arcee's expression just lights up whenever you hit a high note.
Very proud of you. 10/10 lover 💗
Thanks for reading, yall

OKAY IT’S HAPPENING, EVERYBODY STAY CALM!! I’ve finally finished my opinion on “The who by numbers” This took me so long but it’s finally here so I hope you enjoy:
Before I start, I feel the need to say (once again) that I really love the design of the cover and the fact that John Entwistle actually drew the cover himself makes it even better. I love a talented King ❤️
Okay, now the opinion you’ve been waiting for:
1. Slip Kid: The cowbell at the beginning of the song?? I LOVED IT. Great intro. I think it captures the vibes of the album really well. Btw Is that Roger on backing vocals?? I love the song. I have no idea what it is about but I love it 🤣
2. However much I booze: Ummm excuse me??? This song is a fucking vibe. Now I understand why this song is your favourite😍 I don’t know what they put in this song but fuuuuck it’s so damn groovy and the melody it’s soooo catchy. Keith’s drumming and John’s bass in this one are superb
3. AAAAA SQUEEZE BOX MY BELOVED, MY BABY. I literally forced all of my friends to listen to this one. They looked at me weird when I played the song for them in the car but idc. Anyway, This one is my favourite and you already know the context behind why I love this one 😏🤣
4. Dreaming from the waist: All I can say about this song is that I absolutely love the dedication John Entwistle and Keith Moon put in this song. All I can hear is bass and drums 👀❤️
5. Imagine A Man: Okay confession. The first time I listened to this song I did not like very much but now that I’ve listened to it a few more times I think It’s starting to grow on me. Also, the line “Imagine a past where you wish you had lived” literally wrecked me, I felt it in my soul 💔
6. Sucess Story: I have the feeling that I’ve heard this song before…. It sounds like a mix between “All the way from Memphis” by Mott the Hoople and “It’s only Rock N Roll (But I like it) by the Rolling Stones. I might be wrong tho but all these songs have the same vibes 🤣
7. They Are All in love: This is probably my least favourite (don’t kill me) the song is good and I like how Keith and John sound together but idk. Maybe I need to listen to it more
8. Blue Red and Grey: IS THIS PETE ON VOCALS TOO?? Holy sweet mother of jesus his voice feels like a warm hug. Is that an ukelele?? YEP IT IS. I’ve read that Pete wanted to commit suicide and that’s why he wrote this song. If that’s true I feel so sorry for Pete :(
9. How many friends: HELLO?? THE DRUMS? THE GUITAR??? Holy fuck I like everything about this song. “How many friends have I really got? Well you can count ‘em on the one hand” THAT’S LITERALLY ME. I only have a few friends but feel so lucky to have them.
10. In a hand or a face: This song reminds me of Baba O’Riley for some reason🤣 Are we absolutely sure that this isn’t a leftover song from “Who’s Next?”
Oh, by the way, I still can’t tell the difference between Pete and Roger’s voices but I feel like Pete sings in almost every song of the album so I don’t really know what to say about Roger’s input in the album except for the backing vocals (he sings beautifully)
Overalls, this album is really fun to listen to, it’s very complete and catchy. From what I’ve read, this album took ages to be completed cause Pete had a writer’s block and depression but I’m so glad he recovered and finished the album. So far, this is probably my favourite The Who album. I still need to listen to Quadrophenia in its entirety tho.
Okay so first of all, to clear your doubts, Pete's voice is the warm one, "However Much I Booze" and "Blue Red and Grey" are sung by him, the rest is Roger. Roger has a distinct voice, if you know "Squeeze Box" by heart, you know Roger's voice <3
Normally Roger sings, occasionally Pete does, Pete and John are always the backing vocals, Keith only shines from time to time, not a single song of his on this one, BUT I'm so glad to hear that the rhythm section is catching your attention this much - you would have to see me grin when you said you can't hear nothing but bass and drums XD
About the stories you mentioned there, I didn't read much, so I believe in what you're saying. I somehow can't bring myself to really dig in the history of the band, I'm probably afraid of a thing or two, but like, I'm so glad Pete recovered from depression as well - he's a lovely guy really, deserving the best <3
I'm very happy that you love the album this much and I certainly can't fucking wait for you to dive into "Quadrophenia". You'll hear my screaming when you send me your opinion, plus... I'm still waiting for your opinion about "Tommy" and the revenge. Take care, my dear and have fun on the path to become a The Who fan <3

My murder drones episodes tierlist
(this is just my personal opinion, also i don't really tend to make this post a deep analysis or anything lmfao)
1° - DEAD END
This episode is just---- omg so perfect. Everything is just so wonderfull, i want to say much more about this one but i cant even bring myself to explain It with words yet. i just love this one so much. Also, i love how all the video reviews so far can agree with that tol 10/10
Tumblr media
2° - THE PROMENING
One of the best for sure!!!! Its genuinely amazing and the songs in this episodes where the most catchy ones for me! Its one of the episodes that really showed the true essence of this show (also nuzi heheheh) 9.8/10
Tumblr media
3° - CABIN FEVER
The only episode that acctually made me cry so far (/Srs) i acctually like this episode more than the third one so i could put this one in second place If i wanted but i have my personal reasons to why i dont. But this one genuinely mess with me and also the one were i got the most Liam vickers vibe from lfmao. And the animation is just ugghhh /pos. ALSO N in this episode has no right to be so cool... 9.8/10
Tumblr media
4° - PILOT
I genuinely have a soft spot for this one because of the early 2010 cartoon vibes and other things...... I also love it because N was genuinely so scary /pos. Overall its just a really great episode to debut the characters and the word and really showed how murder drones would be Glitch's Gold Mine. Also im still shocked at how small the team was. 9.5/10
Tumblr media
5° - HOME
This episode was really Nice! Uzi was the best part in this episode for me, she was so cute and badass ( and the litte subtle nuzi moments that only real ones realize) and i had a good time with Cyn, but overall i dont really have much strong feelings for this one because i cant really enjoy worker N in the same way i enjoy Disassembly N. (He was still husband material tho-) 8.5/10
Tumblr media
6° - HEARTBEAT
This episode was really great! It was a nice set up to show how the real vibes of the series would be and seeing nuzi get separated Just after recently meeting was so... </3 but i cant really bring myself to enjoy this one that much when compared to the others for some reason. But still great! 8/10
Tumblr media
--------------------------------------------------
So anyways Thats It! Go watch murder drones If you havent alredy because Its genuinely the most amazing things i have ever seen and its shocking how this series is indie

BPP, am really really interested to read your thoughts on Seven!
*
Ask 2: Hey bpp, can i be honest?? Ive been checked out of the fandom but still keep track of any music releases. So i didnt know abt any rumors abt 7. Imagine me being kind of disappointed that it’s another english song from jk when i watched the mv😅 it feels like his most promoted songs since last year has been all eng song… idk i wanted & expted something diff… i didnt like l&r, dreamers and now 7… it’s back to back lol. Tbf i didnt like My You too and thats in korean. At least not enough to listen!again after the first listen.
Im happy that still with you is finally on spotify tho. I’ll still be waiting excited for his album whenever it comes out. Hopefully ill find something i like in it!!
**
[BPP Note: Both asks above were sent before my "I don't like it..." post. The asks posted below were sent afterwards.]
**
Ask 3:
Same here
All the hype didn't matched with the song
1. rest members songs had so much depth and substance to it while this was the cliche boy chasing a girl song. Like we always dont need deep songs but the quality could be so much better. This was like just another pop song.
I think I'll put this on same level as BAD DECISIONS. But for bad decisions, atleast the chorus was staying on my mind while for this nothing was catchy enough for us to humm. Just because it's JK it will get hype but otherwise it's so generic. I think I liked LEFT and RIGHT way better than Seven. Even the rap portion felt so unnecessary and boring.
2. MV was kinda nice because of the production but concept was too shallow, the stalking and chasing was so outdated. In my country we have like 9293928843837 MVs in this same concept that not many make the same theme songs again.
3. The choreography. We haven't seen the full version. But for tiktok they do the highlight portions if that's so mediocre idk how rest will be. It was again giving the same mediocre showing off choreography and for me backdancers ruined it with their awkward moves.
4. they wanted this song to be played everywhere around the world. But there was nothing catchy enough to attract gp or go viral on tiktok, even if we sped it up. The only way to make everyone listen is to shove it down their throat but doing payola. But idk if investing in payola is worthy for the song. I also doubt the longietivity, as for me it was boring after 2 listens. I'll rather listen Like Crazy or wildflower or closer 20 times than listening this once.
5. I HOPE he'll bring something fresh to the table for his album and don't involve this mediocre producers who uses the same formula and same superstar persona to make a song successful. He is so much talented to sing a song which is so rich in melody and lyrics. And he can produce way better songs by himself.
Prolly a 4/10 for me
*
Ask 4: troye sivan's rush (which also came out last night) is exactly what I wish Seven was. I don't mean that in a 'I expect the things JK to make to be gay' way just in the way it's a fun, very danceable, sexy summer song that doesn't pull its punches. Something about seven feels too run through a commercial sanitizer a few times, even with the explicit lyrics.
***
Hi Anon(s),
Jungkook likes to fuck.
Rather, Andrew Watt likes to fuck and thinks Jungkook can relate.
JK has been talking about wanting to show more mature and explicit sides of himself for a good long while now. So I’m glad he’s finally gotten to do that, confirming for us why he keeps getting noise complaints from his neighbours since the mattresses all over his apartment don't help.
BTS has made songs explicitly referring to sex before (though it's been mostly the rapline doing so). So it's nothing new but I guess it's cool JK gets to share with us that he too has sex.
The question I posed to my friends immediately after watching the MV is, “Do you know who's been doing A&R for BigHit since 2020? I really need to know who is doing A&R for BigHit in America because they’ve been doing an appalling job lately. I'm starting to wonder if it's an inside job cause this song is kinda ass.”
That was me ~11 hours ago.
I didn’t like the song.
I’ve streamed Seven about 20 times since then I think, took a break from the song for a few hours, watched his GMA performance, caught a few minutes of the Wlive, then listened to it again just before writing this post and…
I still don’t like it.
Jungkook did a good job on the song, Latto's verse wasn't terrible, and while the song itself isn’t bad… the song isn’t good either.
It’s painfully, and at this point it’s a pattern so I have to add, predictably, mediocre.
Reserving judgement for the album, but Anons, I agree with you for the most part. The suits at BigHit are trying but they are woefully out of touch with the reasons BTS blew up in the West in the first place. I don't even feel like spending any energy doing a review or even trying to explain what I mean. So I'll just ramble on for a bit but try to keep it brief.
---
I have to give BigHit some credit because I can see what they're going for here. Andrew Watt is a very celebrated producer in the US, he won the Grammy award for Producer of the Year in 2021, he's got A listers in his portfolio. So, he's not a cheap name to book and I can see why the suits at BigHit thought he's the genius to gift them a song clinically designed for American radio.
But that pandejo phoned it in. There isn't a lick of creativity to be found anywhere in all 3 minutes and five seconds.
It reminds me of VIBE by Jimin and Taeyang, as the closest analog to the vague dissatisfaction morphing into annoyance and then pragmatic rationalization I experienced in that same sequence when listening to it the first few times.
The song is disappointing because we've all heard it before. Too many times, and we're bored of it. We've heard JK sing this sort of song for years, as covers mostly. So on one hand, while I guess it's nice JK gets to have an American summer JB-reject pop tune of his own, it's not good enough to be the track that introduces him to the world as a solo artist.
It's fine for any white, blonde, blue-eyed heartthrob that can ride on a pretty face and implicit bias to rack up accolades, it's not good enough for Jungkook.
And BigHit needs to start using whatever leverage a US$10.6 billion market capitalization buys you in Hollywood, to insist for songs that are at least as good as the songs made by BTS members and produced by their in-house team. It's a waste of money and everybody's time to fly a battalion to LA just to record 2014's summer hit in 2023.
In my opinion.
Still With You > Stay Alive > My Time > Stay > Left & Right > My You > Dreamers > Seven
*
All that said, I can't ignore JK has a taste for songs like this, and it's not his fault the song is shit (he didn't write, compose or produce it), so technically he shouldn't be punished for it. And the song is made for radio, while it's not my personal taste a lot of people really like the song (one of my friends likes Seven the most out of all the BTS releases so far), and it will catch on with some support. So, ARMY will support it including me, just to a lesser degree than I've done so far. Fingers crossed JJK1 has something solid on it.

Eurovision 2023: #26 & #25
26. AZERBAIJAN Fahree ft Ilkin Dovlatov - "Özünlə apar" 36th place
youtube
Decade Ranking: 98/153 [Above James Newman, below The Roop]
We're nearing that point of the ranking where I'm feeling "okay this is enjoyable moreso than flawed", but there are a few entries on that cusp that just fall short.
And I think Azerbaijan are a very good example of that, actually. If you wanted to know the entry that is the most smack-dab-average of the year's musical representation look no further. "Özünlə apar" is the posterchild of this contest - an entry that showcases its home country's musical traditions while also not being particularly competitive.
On a bad-to-good scale,"Özünlə apar" lands at "Not Bad". Which is... fine? But is that something Eurovision songs should strive for?
Tumblr media
Well, staging and context can improve matters, but in Azer's case those worked against them. Semi 1's second half was a weaksauce affair, and I felt like Azerbaijan were one of the main contributers to that. You have this not uninteresting ethnic mugham song with two conventionally attractive vocalists that -by their sheer appearance- exhude massive sexual tension (both of their looks are so gay-coded lmao <3). It can become good, if you give it the right care.
This is not the right type of care:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those visuals would work for Veronika maybe (god Raiven WOULD kill for that backdrop wouldn't she?) but for an ethnic ballad, eh. Wouldn't it be better to just focus on the main vocalist? Try to make it intimate rather than have him swallowed by the LEDS (i am SO not marking Natalia down for the same thing btw, dwi) The "big prop on an empty stage framed by copious wideshots" staging is not one that suits the genre.
(tho lol at how you can see the crew WHEEL THE HANDS ON THE STAGE in the background of this gif)
Tumblr media
We saw with Hersi's "One Night's Anger" and Blas Canto's "Voy a quedarme" how the deadly combination of slow + empty can murder an average song's immersion, and I felt like this was one such example. Staging that outclevers the audience is a thing of the past, Azerbaijan. Back to the "Miracles", I think, or you will not see a final for a long, long time.
And since this one was a short write-up, let's add in a second:
25. GERMANY Isaak - "Always on the run" 12th place
youtube
Decade Ranking: 93/153 [Above Malik, below Sudden Lights]
Like Fahree and Ilkin, Isaak is right on the cusp of the Green Zone, but falls just short. I feel like the year was good enough for me to not cling to a "Not Bad" banger.
That said, I did feel like Isaak was marginally better than the average German entry - half a decade behind the pop curve, as per Germany's usual (I mean, the German jury 12'd Sweden. SWEDEN!!) but catchy enough. The real ringer was always Isaak himself. I don't know why the Germans were so outraged about when the international jury put him first (esp since Isaak also won the Televote? lmao). When in doubt, pick someone who can perform, you dipshits. I saw the German NF live (it was -mothershocker- really bad) . The only two that came anywhere near "serving" (SMFD RYK & MARIE!!) and didn't have a song that made me wish homicide on the composer/performer (DIE MAX!!) were Isaak and Bodine Monet? And Germany were NEVER going to pick an individual with a vision and a personality, let alone if that person is Dutch, not Deutsch, so~
Tumblr media
Indeed, it was always Isaak's ability to sing while emoting that made me question whether I just liked him or liked the combo of him + the song, but I now know it's the former. "Always on the run" is -again- Not Bad, but we've had so many fucking Counting Stars pass pver the counter over the years (the fact that I've spent YEARS headcanoning "Counting Stars" as ID despite KNOWING it's a 1R song says enough for how fucking interchangeable these "indie" poprock songs are). How can one be excited by one at this point, I don't understand.
Tumblr media
However, if Isaak's live skills were my main draw, then we must also admit that the performance in the Semi (the non-canonical one) was better than the one in the Grand Final. The one in the GF felt like one where Isaak went through the motions of Having To Perform. Maybe it was the backstage tension, maybe it was because Tuesday had a piss-poor line-up that made him look better, maybe it was the bad R/O that put him behind the far more exciting Ukraine, but Finale Isaak was just kinda there for me, singing his song one final time, neither adding nor detracting from the proceedings. That is hand-on-heart a high yellow, not a green, so here we are.
Tumblr media
But I do think it's good the juries handed him a 12th place (is 12th the default placement all the generic dated radio pop gets nowadays? Cannot wait to confirm that again with 2025's inevitable Pompeii clone)(sent by Denmark, bank on it), because (1) AOTR was well-staged with respect for its introspective narrative, which is rare for GERMANY (2) Germany needed some sort of pick-me-up after the Ryk fanboys terrorized everyone for not getting their way (3) the surprise left-side result FINALLY PROVES THAT SANDBAGGING RYK WAS THE CORRECT CHOICE, EAT A MOULDY DYK!!! It's MY meta now, and Bubblevision has no time for your shitty also-ran fanfaves...x
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 24 GOOD(ish) ENTRIES OF 2024
Tumblr media
The efforts to improve the year despite the ongoing shitstorm have been noted and appreciated. ^_^

Its been a month since I've listened the new Hozier album but I cant focus on the lyrics cuz the vibes of the melodies are too pretty... I need to read them tho
I feel you. I love catchy songs. But catchy songs that have beautiful and meaningful lyrics? Inject that in my veins!
I have a really, really hard time listening to Unknown/Nth (it's fine if I just read the lyrics... but I cannot bring myself to listen to it often). It's the only song I avoid in the album because it triggers something really bad in me 🫂

I actually really like 'Juggling iz cool'. I think it's a decent, catchy song that serves its purpose well. Apart from the fizz focused lines which I found weak ('holy moly, things are not looking good for fizzarolli' is an exception) I really like it. The twins focused lines are my favorite, it might be the delivery or the tone/lyrics on the particular parts of the song tho, maybe all of the above.
'Klown bitch' is really nice but so repetitive it's kinda boring. The lyrics need a little fixing, apart from that I like it too.
The other songs are just, not it. I don't like them, they're weak songs and, personally, I barely remember them.
It's a fun little song that doesn't overstay its welcome! Klown Bitch isn't a good song at all imo, but the effects are so cool that they make up for it, which was probably the point.
Two Minutes Notice reeks of Vivzie's lack of self-awareness, and Crooked is cute, but it's bland saccharine soft gay baby food. House of Asmodeus made me adore Fizz and Ozzie's relationship, but I couldn't care less about Crooked.

What’s your Rating when it comes to Hazbin&Boss’s Songs? I Love most of them and some not to much, I Love That Short Western song When Striker was Fighting M&M and sound so Awesome! but was switched to a Pop Song and it was long, Plus I wished they could have stick to one Song instead of switching to the other in That Episode and we really didn’t need that montage of Loona being chased by the vet, Do we? I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wish there were full versions of the Songs tho, What do you think?
Oh my rating? Let it be known I am not a musician, so I'm mostly rating these based off catchiness, lyrics, and context.
For Hazbin, the new official songs aren't out yet, so I'll judge the pilot's. The first song with Charlie... the "I'm always chasing rainbows" is a cover of an old song, and I think it's quite beautiful and perfect for her character. It is unfortunate that the song that isn't even original catches my attention the most. Her song "Happy Hotel" is too fast-paced and the VA sings too high, I couldn't understand what she was saying through half the song so I don't like that one very much. Alastor's was fine, I actually love the first part of it, that one would probably be my favorite. Angel's "Addict" is extremely average, but catchy pop, the lyrics are pretty nice. The animation that goes with it was also very good as far as an AMV goes.
Helluva Boss songs: (First=most favored to last=least favored)
House of Asmodeus: I have friends who don't like this song because it goes on pretty long and isn't all that interesting, but I truly adore this song when Asmodeus and Fizz interrupt. It's jazzy, and it's Asmodeous scolding someone for not playing by the rules of his establishment- and maybe even hints at the irony of what they're saying because Fizz and Ozz have a relationship that maybe (at least confirmed now) they aren't ready to acknowledge. We also get to see Blitz and Stolas get verbally attacked in the club, putting their whole relationship into question when this was supposed to be the first date they've ever properly had which misled Stolas into thinking there was more- only for Blitz to become embarrassed when Stolas doesn't stand up for him, solidifying his fears of their relationship being a "thrust"- I mean I could go on and on but the context is just so ... deep????? and it involves all of our characters and was a major turning point for the series, a really good eye opener finale all around.
You Will Be Okay: It's a lovely lullaby with pretty lyrics and a sad context, one that hints at a future tragedy to befall Stolas. A song that reveals Octavia, Stolas's daughter, who is very attached to him, and her fear of losing him. Stolas comforts her, but in the way that... if he dies, she will be fine on her own- that when the time comes, she won't need him anymore. Only to smack right into the change of Stolas now no longer seen in a positive light in Octavia's eyes- feeling betrayed and confused and hurt by him. It's just a subtle but powerful song.
Stolas Sings: I acknowledge the lyrics are useless in the context because it reveals nothing about his character, and this is the episode that completely messed up his relationship writing with not only Blitz but also Stella........ if the lyrics were tweaked I think this would have been good, but... idk I know its not great but I actually really really like this song. It's just so pretty and angsty... I can't help but love it regardless of the nonsense
Vacay to Bonetown: Verosika is a popstar, so, of course, we gotta get a song for her. She mostly sings about smutt and self-care, so the song doesn't have a bigger meaning, but it is very relaxing lo-fi kind of style. The lyrics are interesting, though odd in some aspects- but the point is a double meaning. Singing about going on vacation too, I don't know, it just feels like a nice summer song in a way- if it weren't so R rated ksldgjlkfdg but this one has always been a top fav
Monster's Ball: This is like??? The PROPER song that Beezlebub should have sung? This is really good and has unique lyrics that help, in a quick way, describe Beezlebub's personality and ...career? It's average pop yeah, but parts of it are rather catchy. This song is actually pretty good. I have no idea what is going on though with the music of this episode because Kesha was initially part of it and ended up going through legal troubles against Spindlehorse and no one really knows why. So there was a lot of weirdness surrounding the music made for this episode. I wish I had more behind-the-scenes context but... I don't.
My World Is Burning Down Around Me: A short song that Octavia listens to. The lyrics are on the nose and the song itself is only in there for like... 30 seconds tops... but its angsty and catchy so here's a shout-out to it.
The Ballad of Striker: I really really like this country song, the Mariachi band and lyrics are really fun. But context just doesn't fit, unfortunately, because Striker is no longer a secret assassin but in fact a very well-known outlaw for hire in the ring of wrath... just doesn't feel true to the original character
Oh Millie: A pilot song, but it's sweet. Millie's contributions are actually cute. It's used as a funny gag, but it also shows an interesting Bonnie and Clyde romance, where Moxie, despite his logical nature, actually really enjoys killing and adores his wife for being just as vicious. And Millie is enamored with his softer musical side, and may not be as good with words, but she still loves to be part of it. I don't know... Millie and Moxie from the pilot are different characters from the official series. I miss what they were before. Somehow I think their romance is more believable and equal, revealing so much about their characters in a single song? Like it's just really good. I don't know how else to explain it.
Mustang Dong: A song Blitz is listening to in his car. It's a fun catchy rock song, and the lyrics are downright hilarious. Very befitting of Blitz. Very funny for such a short sequence.
Loo Loo Land: A silly jingle, I laughed with the running gag of "No copyright infringements ever seen." And He did mock Charlie's "Happy Hotel" song which was also pretty funny. It's got references and gags and it doesn't go on for crazy long, I think it's a pretty decent song for the episode, and the context fits perfectly- Stolas enjoying himself like a kid, but Octavia hating every second of it. It's an entertaining plot device- and the character who sings it is gasp- surprise! Involved with our main character Blitzo! What a mystery?!
Moxxie's Bad Trip: This is like an odd opera-poem reading- er... I really don't know the genre it's a bit confusing. Some of the lyrics seem off-tempo while some seem on tempo. The lyrics fluctuate though, between serious to comedic. It's a bit of a messy tone, but I like it. Feels like a classic Helluva Boss song. It's really unfortunate though, because this is Moxie confronting Blitz over his bad behavior, giving Blitz a mysterious nature to himself, a Phantom of the Opera parody- it just has all this unique inspiration and mysterious context- and this is the song where Moxie and Blitz are meant to have a confrontation and grow as people in a character arc- but this whole thing is happening in MOXIE'S HEAD... and they act like it also happened in Blitz's too... so the context is just kinda screwy unfortunately...
CHERUB JINGLE: Silly. It's fine- I actually love it when they harmonize, but it was a little awkward because Cleatus's voice is deep in the official song where in the show its super high pitched- they did the best with what they could, but when I first listened to it I was like "WHO IS THIS MAN???"
IMP JINGLE: Same feelings as above kind of- wish it were IMP singing this though, instead of just some dude. It was written mostly for the pilot so it was rough stuff.
Watcha thinkin bout now?: The first part where it's a country genre is really good and fits- but then we swap to pop, but it's unfitting, it's not funny, kinda takes you out of the scene because it causes tonal dissonance. Despite me adoring the first half, I will admit it has empty lyrics. It's sort of just repeating its title, and is too short to really be considered a full proper song so.... again, love the first half... wish it could have been longer and wish it had more interesting lyrics.
You Got the Power: Random guy singing a song for that weird episode where Moxxie is really out of character and Millie is just screwing around on stage performing for humans. The context is silly since its literally just imps punching and stabbing each other, there isn't really any "power" in a magical sense here, or other sense, I guess... idk, but it's a pretty nice rock song despite the context being bad!
Crashin a Muthafckin Wedding: A countryish kick ass song for Millie at Moxie's wedding to Chaz. I don't like this episode, but the song fits the action scene. It's actually quite decent, all things considered.
Til the Day We Die: A more boring Millie x Moxie song ... I mean hey, at least it HAS Millie in it, so points to that. Just a song about being in love... where the context is jsut bad... preforming for human money to buy street art? Who thunk this up, huh?
Striker's Song: I couldn't hear the VA at all, the music was too loud and he was too quiet. The lyrics are really arrogant and weirdly sinister towards Moxie, it just didn't feel natural, it felt like a forced conflict. I don't see Striker as an overtly arrogant dude, throughout the episode he's definitely competitive but he's rather humble and respectful towards everyone else. Naturally, that's a ruse, but even so... I just don't like this song.
Regular Joe: Millie's first song by herself and it's completely useless. It's just about her being boring and plain, and somehow people love her for it. (looks into the camera like on the office) With the context being she and Moxie are wasting time on a mission that Moxie is supposed to be in charge of. It's just an average song, the VA does a lovely job at least, very pretty voice... interrupted by annoying screaming fans in between the lyrics.
Chaz Time: Still processing this... episode... Chaz is so useless.... I actually couldn't understand the lyrics because his singer was whispering so quietly... maybe the music was louder than it should be?
Look At This: useless lyrics, causes tonal dissonance in the context, makes the other characters look stupid and incompetent, the genre of the song is all over the place, intermixing into techno, heavy metal, pop, opera, etc
Cotton Candy: completely useless lyrics, extremely average-sounding pop, doesn't give us an idea who Beezlebub is or what she really does, the lyrics conflict at certain points
If I missed any, then I probably didn't pay attention to them and therefore probably wouldn't care about them even if I relistened
