Chapter 9: Apprenticed
Tumblr media
The group were teleported to a huge tree out in the middle of a dense forest.
"Where are we now?" Elizabeth asked.
"My home, we're close to Purity Forest." Ivy answered. Mouse walked up to the edge of the deck. And quickly back up, realizing that they were very high up! "If you want to get down on the ground, I recommend my pully system." The Ogerpon smiled. "It can hold up to 350 pounds."
"Luckily, my little hero is light as a feather." Elizabeth smirked, She then looks at Typhoon. "And how do you get up here, assuming you're too heavy to ride the pully system?"
Typhoon simply extended his wings. "I'm assuming your little hero doesn't have wings of their own." He smirked.
"Mouse can't fly but they can glide with their hoodie." Elizabeth then realized that Mouse wasn't wearing their hoodie, therefore, they can't glide. "I forgot..."
"Hey, if you're looking for outfits, I know someone who can fit the little Eevee with something." Ivy said as she got on the pully.
"Yeah, Mouse keeps moving me in place to make sure I don't fall out." Elizabeth explained. "And a proper pouch would be nice too, so it's not so heavy on their back." Mouse slowly walked up to the pulley as the Ogerpon lowered the trio, and Typhoon carefully jumps off.
"Hey, if not too painful, could you tell us where you two came from?" Ivy asked.
"Oh, we're from the Chestnut Kingdom. And Mouse used to be a soldier for this guy called Mr. Stitches."
Typhoon looks like he's deep in thought. "I don't believe I've heard such a kingdom."
"It's a..." The hilt chose her words carefully. "Faraway kingdom." Elizabeth hates lying, but she can't exactly tell the truth either.
"And you said Mouse used to work for this Stitches guy as a soldier. Like... as a soldier's apprentice?" Ivy asked.
"Yes..." Elizabeth lied. "Mouse and I were on the opposite sides of our kingdom's conflict." That was not a lie. "And by some struck of fate, I ended up in Mouse's possession."
"I see..." Ivy nodded. Once the pully touched the ground, she lead the Eevee hilt duo off. "I'll have to take you to the Guild and talk to the chairmons about your apprenticeship."
"Will you be Mouse's mentor?" Elizabeth asked.
"That decision isn't up to me." The Ogerpon shook her head. "It depends on what evolution Mouse chooses."
"I may need a refresher on what Mouse would become." Elizabeth said. She couldn't outright say that she didn't know what an Eevee could become.
"Eevee can evolve into 8 separate Pokemon. Vaporeon, a sleek and talented swimmer if Mouse choses a Water Stone. They tank heavy hits and deal that damage back, using mostly special water type moves. If you want a Thunder Stone, Mouse will become a Joteon. They're faster and strike with powerful lightning conjured from the sky. Flareon, a bold fire type. If Mouse touches a Fire Stone, Their physical attack will be boosted, and become magically defensive. But what if Mouse doesn't want a stone, what if they want evolve during the day? Then, wearing a Sun Ribbon, You'll become the clairvoyant and strategic Psychic Espeon. Espeon's opposite is the night owl Umbreon. You'll need to wear a Moon Ribbon, and you'll be more physically and specially defensive thanks to the moon's light. Lefeon, the grass type evolution occurs when you battle close to a mossy stone in a lush forest. That's one of our chairmon, they're a physical fighter. If you fight near an icy stone in the snowy mountains, you'll become a Glaceon, and love the cold. And with that new appreciation for the cold, you can use that to your advantage and create blizzards to fight. The last known method of evolution is the fairy-type, Sylveon. Using a Fairy-type attack, and great affection Mouse will become a magic using warrior. They may look cute, but that's only to let your guard down, and they strike!"
"That's... quite a lot of choices." Elizabeth said, bewildered.
"I had a hard time choosing whether I wanted to evolve via Water Stone, or wait and evolve during the night. You can obviously see which option I went with." Typhoon voiced himself as an example.
"What about sword wielding Pokémon?" The hilt asked.
"Well..." Ivy thought. "very few mons can use swords in battle."
"We'd appreciate it if we could get a sword wielder as Mouse's mentor." Elizabeth voiced.
"That's something I'll have to talk to the chairmons about." Ivy said. "Come on, the guild conference isn't for another month." She leads the duo to hop on to Typhoon. "You two scared of heights, or flying?" Mouse nodded no.
"We don't get motion sick easily." Elizabeth added, as Mouse was helped up on the Umbergia's back.
Typhoon took a few leaps before taking off. Mouse clung on to him, and grabbed Elizabeth to make sure she didn't slip out.
"You two have never gone flying, before, huh?" Ivy laughed.
"We- we haven't!" Elizabeth answered. "Mouse, I think we're good to look at the ground." Shakily, Mouse slowly crawled across Typhoon's back, and looked down. The trees were tiny, and the Pokémon were even tinier! They did glide, and jumped long distances, but never really flew. It made Mouse want to spread wings for themself and fly anywhere they wanted.
"Where are we heading again?" Elizabeth asked.
"Purukin Guild." Ivy replied. "I need to have a talk with Chairmon Rose about your apprenticeship. And since you said Mouse battles with a sword, I'll talk with Rose about getting them a sword user."
Typhoon landed carefully and he trotted at a brisk pace, approaching the stairs of a tall cliff. Mouse carefully jumps off, when the Umbergia started walking slower, and trots up to a grate. And when Mouse stepped on the grate...
"POKEMON DETECTED!" A mysterious voice shouted. Mouse jumped backwards startled.
"What Pokémon was it!?" A second voice bellowed.
"It's gone now, but it was an Eevee. An Eevee I've never seen before." There was a low rumbling under the ground, and a Diglett with a small tuft of light-colored hair pops out. "An Eevee with a horned mask!" Mouse quickly backs away, tail tucked between their legs. "Oh, I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to frighten you." She said.
"It's okay, Ruby." Ivy reassured her. "I think the kid is just shy."
"Oh! Well... You don't need to be afraid, Digletts pop out of the ground all the time." Ruby said.
"RUBY!!! Who are you talking to?!" The loud voice asked.
"Oh, uh, I'm talking To Ivy the Ogerpon and Typhoon the Umbergia." Ruby responded.
"I don't see any masked Eevee on the bounty board, so, I guess their safe." The loud voice said.
"Later, and good luck!" Ruby said, as she burrows under ground.
"This way." Ivy waves her paw. She leads Typhoon and Mouse down the ladder.
Once they were all down, Mouse looks in amazement as Pokémon of all kinds were gathered together and chatting. I made Mouse think of the Stitched Castle lobby. They hoped that things are better since they and Elizabeth left. Ivy was actively looking for someone.
"Chairmon Rose!" Ivy rushes up to a white Leafeon with orange leaves and bumped heads.
"How was the report?" Rose asks.
"So far, nothing out of the ordinary." Ivy shrugs. "Oh, by the way, I have a request to ask."
"Anything!" Rose purrs.
"I have an orphaned masked Eevee looking for an apprenticeship as a rescuer." Ivy explained.
"Oh. Do they know what route they want to go?" The Leafeon asks.
"They're dead set on wanting a sword wielding Pokémon as a mentor. As far as evolution goes..." The Ogerpon said. "They're not certain yet."
"Are they a warrior variant?" Rose tilts their head.
"No... They seem like a normal Eevee." Ivy looks at the shy Eevee. "With a unique coat variant."
Rose looks at the Eevee. "You good with a sword?" The tiny Eevee nods. They grab Elizabeth as a blade appears. The white Leafeon's ears perk up in surprise. "Go find Hati and Skoll. Those two were looking for someone to tutor in sword battling."
"Find the crowned warrior twins! Got it!" Ivy nodded. "Lucky you kiddo, you get to train with a Zacian hybrid." She leads Mouse and Elizabeth down the lower levels.
"Ivy, I need to find Mystic and-" Typhoon said.
"Go on and find her. I have business to attend to after talking with the hounds anyway. See ya later, Ty." Ivy waves.
"See you, Ivy." Typhoon dips their head as they take their leave. Ivy searches for the two warriors.
"Skoll? Hati?" Ivy shouted as she looks around the guild. "HATI!" Mouse flinched when she yelled. "SKOLL!"
"What's with all the shouting?" A large red wolf asked.
"Skoll! There you are!" Ivy said, her tail wagging. "There's someone I really want you to meet. Where's your sister?"
Skoll points to a bulletin board. "She's checking the wanted posters."
Another wolf, a blue one, scanned the bulletin board for any dangerous criminals.
"... Clawitzer causing underwater shockwaves, Scovillain unlawfully burning crops... Oh! Seismitoad flooding towns after breaking a dam." The wolf whispers to herself.
"Hati! Hati!" Skoll called for his sister. The wolf turned her head around, meeting her brother's face.
"So... remember how you guys were looking for an apprentice?" Ivy smiled.
Hati tilted her head. "Yes...?"
Ivy shifted to the side, presenting Mouse. "Meet Mouse! They're looking for a swordsmon teacher."
Hati and Skoll look down at Mouse, who. "They don't look like a warrior hybrid."
"They don't need some fancy genes to use me!" Elizabeth stated. "Mouse, show them!" Mouse sat up and pulled the hilt out of the belt strap, and a white blade appeared.
Hati and Skoll stared in absolute shock. "Where did that kid get that weapon...?" Hati whispered to her brother.
Skoll shook his head. "Even if they don't have any of our kind's DNA, it'd be cruel to deny them training."
"Even behind that mask, I can sense the heart of a hero beating in their tiny body." Hati commented. "Very well, little Eevee. I'll take you up on your offer. Do you have any parents we can talk to?" Mouse looked down, the blade retracts.
"I don't think they have any parents." Ivy said sadly.
"I'm the closest thing to a guardian for Mouse." Elizabeth explained.
"I see... I'm sorry." Hati said softly. "I am Hati. And this is my younger twin brother, Skoll. We're warrior variant Mightyena."
"Will we be living with you then?" Elizabeth asked.
"No, you'll be living in the guild's orphanage." Hati explained.
"But, if you want to stay with us, you can." Skoll suggested. "We have a guest room, but you and your hilt friend should be pretty cozy."
"I'm Elizabeth by the way." The hilt introduced herself. "And on behalf of Mouse, we thank you for your generosity. We wish to stay with you two."
Hati grabs the wanted poster of the rogue Seismitoad and took it with her, leading Mouse home.
"Good Bye, Mouse and Ellie! And good luck!" Ivy waves.
"Bye Ivy, we hope to see you again." Elizabeth called back.

Shinji, who had fallen to his knees, paid no mind to the small group surrounding him. Instead, he continued to weep, never once letting go of the decorated ball in his hands.

A while back ago my car got rear-ended and when they fixed it, I lost ALL of my painstakingly collected bumper stickers.
Over the past few months I've been amassing a new collection of bumper stickers and today I finally put them all on my car!

I have been wanting to draw Pokemon for awhile, and I finally did it. Kind of. I drew some Sans AUs and Salt AUs as Eeveelutions! Yay!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blue and Beryl are Eevees. (Before anyone asks "Why are they so small?" It's because Eevee is a single foot tall and Jolteon and Glaceon, who are the next smallest are 2' 7'') Horror and Horary are Flareons. Cross and Crucifix are Vaporeons. Error and Erratum are Jolteons. Nightmare and Nightshade are Umbreons. Dream and Dawn are Espeons. Killer and Kibbe are Leafeons. Dust and Dusk are Glaceons. Ink and Ivy are Sylveons.
I made two different versions because I'm not sure which color palette I prefer. I'm working on drawing them individually and I'll probably use the bottom colors/bone colors.
Pokemon: Game Freak/Nintendo Undertale: Toby Fox Blue: Popcornpr1nce Ink: Comyet Dream: Jokublog Nightmare: Jokublog Error: Crayonqueen Horror: Sour-Apple-Studios Killer: Rahafwabas Dust: Ask-Dusttale Cross: Jakei95 Beryl, Ivy, Dawn, Nightshade, Erratum, Horary, Kibbe, Dusk, Crucifix: Me

Anomaly Report
Ivy’s alarm rang, pulling her out her of her sleep. She jumped up and slammed on the off button. The Ogerpon yawned and stretched her arms out far, and so far, her claws unsheathed. She hopped out of bed and walked to the kitchen. The sun just started to peek over the horizon. Ivy starts her oven fire with her flint striking together. The fire started small, but as she fed it more wood, the flames grew hot and strong. The Ogerpon placed a pan on top and a piece of butter in it. Ivy retrieves three eggs from her fridge and cracks them on the lip of a bowl, and whisks vigorously, making sure the yokes and egg whites mix thoroughly.
Ivy chops peppers, onions, and tomatoes. She pours the egg in the pan and adds the veggies too. She flips half the mixture over itself, letting it sit on both sides so it becomes a nice golden brown.
Taking the mixture off the pan and onto a plate, Ivy sits on her porch and enjoys her breakfast, and the morning glow cover the forest. As she was eating the omelet, Ivy heard a loud roar and winds rustling the leaves. It was the Umbergia who accompanied her at the beach resort. Typhoon carefully landed on the Ogerpon's porch and waited for her last bites. After one last trip to the kitchen, Ivy hops on Typhoon's back. Typhoon leapt off Ivy's treehouse and jumped off the forest floor and actually flew.
Rose was waiting for the duo's arrival.
"Ah, you're here!" The Leafeon greeted the two.
"You said there's an anomaly report"
"Yes! I need you and Typhoon to investigate Baram Town and the surrounding dungeons." The Leafeon said, giving Ivy a list of dungeons to scout in.
Both Pokémon nodded, understanding their task. Typhoon jumped and took off, flying off towards the Air Continent.
"So, what do you think we'll find? Monsters, mutated plants or Pokémon? Or maybe a human?" Ivy excitedly asked.
The Umbergia nodded. "Maybe. Or we might find a human turned Pokémon."
"That hasn't happened in a very long time." Ivy commented. "Not since a meteor threatened our planet. Or so I've heard..."
Typhoon landed at the entrance to the Baram Town. The Ogerpon hopped off and made a bee-line to the cafe.
"Slow down, Iv!" The legendary hybrid shouted. Typhoon slowly walked passed the bulliten board, scanning wanted posters, S.O.S. letters, a flier for an apprenticeship, ads, and- Wait!
Typhoon took the paper and read it over. "A little masked Eevee looking for a rescue apprenticeship?"
"HEY TY! I'M GETTING A DRINK, YOU WANT ANYTHING?!" Ivy shouted.
Typhoon padded up to his Ogerpon. "Just a black coffee." He answered. "And you don't need to shout that loudly."
The Umbergia scanned the cafe for any 'masked Eevee', only to find one, sitting by themself, eating a sausage sandwich and drinking what looks to be coffee.
That has to be them!
(to be continued... The next one will be reblogged from @masked-vee)

“Come on, guys,” Ash said, pointing. “It’s… uh… this way, I think? Yeah, down here!”
He paused, checked his phone, then turned around and pointed in a completely different direction.
“...we’re going to end up so lost,” Chloe sighed.
“Vee,” her Eevee said.
“I think we’re already lost,” Goh pointed out. “I don’t know my way around Lumiose. Do you know your way around Lumiose?”
“No,” Chloe conceded. “But I’m not sure Ash knows his way around Lumiose.”
Goh shrugged.
“Yeah, but… he did say he knew somewhere we could stay,” he said. “And we are getting a good look at the outskirts of Lumiose.”
Cinderace looked around, ostentatiously, and Chloe and Eevee both giggled.
“Come on, guys!” Ash called.
“Pika-kachuu!” Pikachu agreed, waving.
“Well, he’s stopped moving,” Chloe admitted, walking a bit faster. “I wonder if that means he found it?”
“So do I,” Goh said. “Let’s go and see – and see if there’s any good Pokémon around there!”
“You’re as bad as him, sometimes,” Chloe said, amused.
“Here we are!” Ash said, halting for a moment to wave up at the building, and both Goh and Chloe gave it a good look.
It was a seven-floors-high building, made of white stone and covered in a riot of ivy and other climbing plants, with verdant trees growing either side. It sat in the middle of a small court, almost by itself, though it seemed to have a connection to the other buildings on either side.
“This looks… kind of nice, actually,” Chloe conceded. “How did you know this was here, Ash?”
“I’ve been here before, I said!” Ash replied, walking up and pushing the door. “Come on in, guys!”
“Chuu!” Pikachu said, bouncing on Ash’s shoulder, then hopped down as the door opened. “Pi-ka! Pi-ka!”
Goh and Chloe followed, their Pokémon at their heels, and entered the hallway just in time to see an enormous man stand slowly up from behind the counter.
“Ash!” he said, sounding quietly pleased. “It’s so good to see you again.”
“Thanks, heh,” Ash replied, blushing slightly.
“Is that man a giant?” Chloe mumbled, staring.
He looked… strange. He had a mane of white hair that stretched down almost to his knees, which made it over two metres tall, and he had a cane he was leaning on. His clothes were oddly patched together, as well, like they’d been made by combining multiple entire outfits to get the right length for the sleeves and trouser legs, and there was a Floette floating over his shoulder in colours that neither Chloe nor Goh had ever seen before.
Then the man folded himself down to a lower level, and gave Ash a hug.
“Look at you,” he said, warmly. “The World Monarch, no less!”
He chuckled. “I’m impressed, Ash.”
“Thanks, Dad!” Ash replied, hugging him back.
“...what?” Goh asked, startled. “Did you-”
“This is your dad!?” Chloe said. “But – uh – how?!”
“Oh, it’s kind of a long story, really,” Ash replied, breaking away from the hug a bit, as Pikachu and Floette exchanged a nod. “Actually, Dad, is it okay if I tell them?”
“Why not,” the man invited.
“So, this is my dad,” Ash explained. “His name’s A Z, spelled with just the two letters, and he’s three thousand years old!”
He grinned. “That’s actually how it is that I’ve looked like I’m ten years old for, you know, about six or seven years? I guess I inherited ageing really slowly from him, it’s kind of lucky it only kicked in once I was old enough to go on my Pokémon journey!”
“But he’s… three metres tall,” Goh objected. “He’s huge.”
“Wait, did you say you – he’s three thousand years old?” Chloe said, at about the same time.
“Yeah!” Ash agreed. “If you think about it, it kinda makes sense, because, once someone’s immortal it’s not like they’re going to get less immortal the older they get!”
He glanced at AZ. “And, we’ve met a couple of times, but – the way it is, is, because it looks like I’m immortal too then we’ll always have time for each other. And other friends are… the people who I have to enjoy time with while I can, right?”
“That…” Goh began, then stopped, and tried thinking about it. “Uhm… I don’t think I ever thought about that, before.”
“Ash knows several Legendary Pokémon,” AZ pointed out, with a chuckle. “I understand he’s talked to some of them about it.”
Ash nodded. “Yeah, it was really helpful talking to Darkrai about it, we kinda had a chance to work it out together… and Squishy, too. Squishy was really helpful.”
“I find that Squishy is always helpful, if you can persuade them to stick around long enough for a conversation,” AZ said, leaning on his cane and sitting back down. “They come around here, sometimes. So does your Greninja, Ash.”
“That’s great!” Ash decided. “Maybe we’ll get lucky and Greninja will show up while we’re staying here – oh, yeah, I was going to say, I hoped that my friends and I could stay here? Is there space?”
“Of course,” AZ replied. “I’m sure you’ll get a better room here than anywhere else in Lumiose.”
“I have so many questions,” Chloe said, faintly.

Chapter 7: Baby's First Dungeon
Mouse followed the older mons, paws crunching against the soft earth. Ivy pulled a fiery looking mask and placed it on her face, the cloak on the ogre shifted colors, from soft earthy green to fiery orange.
Mouse looked at the dungeon with baited breath, following the explorers inside.
Sinister Cave

Typhoon, Lvl:89
The floor was moist and slippery. Water can be heard trickling from the ceiling and leaking from the cave walls. Going through this cavern brought Mouse back to the caves they went through to get to the Moth Queen's tree. Typhoon looks around, eyes scanning the dim walls. The tiny Eevee trusts these two with their safety for now, since they seem to know what they're doing.
"So far, nothing out of the ordinary." Ivy commented.
"If you don't mind me asking, what are we looking for?" Elizabeth asks.
"We're looking for any anomalies." Typhoon answered.
"What kind of anomalies?" The hilt asked.
"Space time anomalies. Terrain disappearing or reappearing, Pokémon appearing where they shouldn't." Ivy listed.
"I see." Elizabeth murmered.
"Keep your wits up though, Mystery Dungeons are very dangerous." Typhoon warned.
"Mystery Dungeons?" Elizabeth questioned.
"You must have heard of the infamous Mystery Dungeons!" Ivy explained. "Only the bravest and strongest can enter. They're called Mystery Dungeons because their shifty nature. The terrain changes daily. Traps will appear or disappear. Routes twist and turn. Tunnels close or reopen."
"How are these stuff different to the anomalies?" Elizabeth asked.
"The difference is the layout. Say for example, a tropical plant appears in a cave like this, that would be considered strange. Or a cave dweller appearing in a lake." Typhoon explained.
"Indeed. And despite all the dungeon's dangers, many Pokémon still call these places home." Ivy added.
"The dangerous, shifty, hostile dungeons are home to some Pokémon..." The hilt doubted.
"Not the main dungeon itself. There's little pockets of safe spaces inside or around the dungeons completely safe from the shifting. Although the changes are constant, wild ones are still able to find their home and protect their families." The Ogerpon stated, leading the group down a lower floor.
"Wild ones are Pokémon who don't prefer to live in towns or villages like we do." The Umbergia's tone was more serious as he continued. "There is one other word that begins with the letter F. Once you hear that word, you must never, ever utter that word. Not even near or towards a wild one."
"We understand." Elizabeth noted. Mouse nodded, agreeing with her.
"Shh...!" Ivy muttered, she lifted her mask, putting a finger to her lips.
"Why are you shu-" Elizabeth was interrupted by another shush from Ivy.
"Shh...! There's sleeping wild Shroomish over there..." Ivy whispered. The Ogerpon points to the sleeping mushroom Pokémon.
"Wake any of them up, and we'll be in for a rough time." Ivy warned.
Carefully and quietly, the Eevee padded around the sleeping Shroomish.
"Seems like these Shroomish were too tired to head home." Typhoon commented. "So, they're just camping out here."
Unfortunately, Mouse bumped into a smaller Shroomish. The mushroom Pokémon woke up and shrieked loudly, waking the others. The angered Shroomish spat a foul smelling mucus in the Eevee’s masked face (Shroomish used Toxic, Mouse was badly poisoned). The rest of the horde went for Typhoon and Ivy. Pulling down her Hearthflame Mask over her face, the Ogerpon slammed a fiery cudgel on the Shroomish! (Ivy used Ivy Cudgel, it's super effective!) Typhoon bellowed, unleashing a violent blast of wind. (Typhoon used Aeroblast, it's super effective!) The rest of the Shroomish scattered off with fright.
"And that’s why you have to be careful walking past sleeping Pokémon in dungeons." Ivy huffed, letting her club rest on her shoulder. She looked back at Mouse, and her fierce deminer changed to a more concerned one.
Mouse laid down on the floor, with a sickly feeling in their stomach. I've been poisoned before... Mouse thought, but why does it feel like my insides are melting?
"You've been poisoned." Ivy said. "And by the looks of it, it's pretty bad." She gives them a pink berry. "Eat this, it's called a Pecha Berry. It'll cure your poison." The thought of eating right now made them want to vomit. But, begrudgingly, the tiny Eevee took the Pecha berry, chewed, and swallowed. Almost immediately, the feeling of being poisoned vanished, like it wasn't there. Do they make antidotes out of this fruit? Mouse thought, as the tiny Eevee got up.
"Thank you." Mouse signed.
"You're welcome." Ivy nodded. "Come on, we're almost done patrolling this dungeon."
When the duo reached the end of the dungeon, Ivy and Typhoon looked around. "Nothing out of the ordinary here." The Ogerpon noted.
"Everything looks normal on my side, too." The Umbergia nodded. Mouse looked around, Just a normal cave, they thought. Water was still trickling in slowly through the walls, moss clung to the rocky walls, some brown and dry, others green and moist.
"Alright, we should head out." Ivy called.
"Alright, hopefully we can remember they way out." Elizabeth said as Mouse turned back.
"Oh, no! Were not walking out, we're going to be transported out!" Ivy smirked. She reached into Typhoon's bag searching for something. Mouse and Elizabeth watched curiously as she pulled out a strange looking orb. It was black with a bright white center. "The Escape Orb." She explained. "This thing will teleport us safely out of the dungeon. Stand close to me."
Mouse quietly trotted up to Ivy and Typhoon, where the Ogerpon smashed the orb on the ground, And a beam of light whisked the group out of the dungeon.

Bingo: Wow, your mask is so cool! Did you make it yourself?
Poni smiles, holding her Teal Mask up.
Thank you! They are pretty cool, and not just for show!
Her happy expression drops a bit before continuing.
Um...an old friend of mine made them...before he...
Shinji noticed Poni's discomfort and quickly interjected.
Howww about a subject change!?
Tumblr media
Shinji: Good question!
Poni: Oh! That's easy! We met at last year's Mask Festival.
Shinji: Poni wasn't exactly welcomed at the time due to a nasty rumor about her. Despite that, I wanted to know the truth and sought to find her.
Poni: Next thing we knew we became friends!
Tumblr media
Poni: Well I usually go patrolling around Kitakami to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary, then I take a nap or find a mon to spar.
Tumblr media
In response to this.
Poni: You...you must be new here...
Shin: To keep a long story short, a group of Pokemon have been causing grief for Poni and the village.
Pon: Me and Shinji have been holding them off but it's getting annoying.
Tumblr media
Pon: I honestly think Shinji's cool. He's the first human to show any kindness to me in a while and has helped me so much.
Shin: Poni...
Pon: His teammates are cool too, we have plenty of banter with each other.
Shin: That reminds me! It's getting late we should head back to the house!
Pon: Alright. Let's get going!
@masked-vee @rescuerivy @ask-the-shiny-pokemons
Poni and Shinji are closed for normal asks!

Nagiza’s pokemon team
Finally got around to draw all these guys; since they’ll start appearing every now and then in future chapters, I think it’s a good time to introduce them ^^
Nagiza, at first, was more of the type of trainer who constantly catches and releases pokemon or straight up forms a friendship with them without catching; since her main goal is to learn to speak to them, she likes to give it a shot with as many species as possible; and even help them achieve goals if possible. However, as she advanced on her journey, she encountered pokemons who had reasons to tag along, some that also helped her communicate or some that just wanted to stay with her. Eventually she got her full team.
You may see individual intros, also in the order each of them joined the team, after the jump :3 (some of which may be further explored in comic forms in the future)

•Ducky the Golduck: On her first journey, which was in the kanto region, she once encountered a group of slowpokes with a single psyduck hanging around with them; she tried to start conversation but.. she just couldn’t communicate. At first, she thought she was just having a really bad day for pokemon language comprehension… until Maro and Kawo confessed that they also couldn’t understand a single word out of the group of babblers. At this point, a slowking approached them, and practically begged them to take the psyduck with them, and never leave him alone in the wild. Nagiza thought this was just because, well, psyducks have a hard time surviving alone in the wild… buuuuut, once the psyduck evolved, the group quickly realized he was still… in Maro’s words: distracted; in Kawo’s words: a case of massive stupidity.
Nagiza is actually grateful for Ducky’s company tho. Ever since he evolved, he became more coherent, slow to talk and easy to understand. He constantly has his mind in the clouds, probably because he doesn’t have that psyduck headache anymore, and Nagiza thinks he’s actually quite the philosopher. Kawo is surprised he’s still breathing…

•Ivy the Leafeon: During her journey through Kanto, Nagiza and company once encountered a group of eevees and some of their evolutions. They spend a while with them, since Nagiza was fascinated with everything the eevees had to say; how often do you have the chance to talk with a pokemon that has so many options for evolution?
One of them, actually asked to be captured. This particular eevee turned out to have the wish to become a Sylveon. Although Nagiza was reluctant at first, because a friendship cannot be forced, she decided to give it a shot; after all, if she couldn’t form the bond necessary to evolve him into a Sylveon, she could at least help him find a trainer who could. But soon enough they realized this wouldn’t be necessary, as the eevee fitted right in and grew close to Nagiza; who began to even call him “Silvy the eevee”.
But alas… something happened one day and Silvy.… accidentally evolved into a Leafeon uwuUu

•Drago the Dragonite: A shiny male Dragonite that Nagiza’s father gifted her. Once she told her dad that she wanted to give pokemon contests. He then decided to get her a shiny dratini that she could use; thinking that a beautiful pink dragonair would certainly give her an advantage (he even got in problems with the law by doing so). Much to his dismay, the next time he saw Nagiza, she had already fully evolved dragonite and was pretty much done with contests. Oh well -w-
As it turns out, ever since born, all Drago wanted was to be strong and reach his full potential, and so, because of this and the fact that Drago was a gift, he stays with Nagiza to this day.

•Pawpaw the Pawmot: This XL Pawmot is the only pokemon Nagiza has captured since she began to travel with Akito. The two once assisted to a Paldea academy (requested by Nagiza’s dad). The day they arrived, Nagiza pulled out two quickballs, giving one to Akito and suggesting the two used them at the first pokemon they encountered when stepping into this new region (something called, in this universe, a nuzzlocke dare). Akito accepted and the two then used their quickballs at some moving bushes nearby. There, Nagiza captured a Pawmo.
Of course, Nagiza had it mind to just release the pokemon she captured after some bonding and chatting. Much to her surprise, this Pawmo just never stopped talking! She talked how she loved to run around and play and give other pokemon hugs and how she wanted to someday be a Pawmot, but she needed a trainer for that, and how excited she was to finally be captured, and how amazing her new life was and- you get it, she’s a ball of positivism who loves to chat, play and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with a nice snack.
Nagiza loves how Pawpaw is always up for a pleasant conversation, Maro and Kawo wished she just realized how strong she can be and are very grateful to have hard skulls…
