Jabitha Week Day Six: 40 Reasons why I ship them.
This is one of two, short parts I'll be releasing for today! Feel free to add on to this list if you have any other ideas :)
First and foremost, they are by far, the healthiest couple on the show.
Both Jughead and Tabitha have been endlessly supportive to each other through everything they’ve been through since meeting.
The friends-to-lovers transition was flawlessly done.
Unconfirmed Bi4Bi rep! (There’s definitely a vibe, what can I say?)
#GirlbossMalewife vibes.
They are so much fun to write!
Their humour and sass is so well matched- flawless banter.
Lovers in plaid.
Couples who commit arson together stay together (a shared kink).
Both of them are equally chaotic which means they can do crazy things without it being weird. I mean, their first date was an alien support group, followed by a key party and mothman hunt.
They have a mutual love for Archie (Jabarchie squad unite!!)
Their flirty lines are always serves.
All of their touch moments are flawless- the handholds, cheek kisses and hugs.
On that note… SPIN! FREAKING! HUGS!
Every time they dance it gives me a rush of serotonin.
Tabitha’s really helped Jughead with his sobriety! When he relapsed, she was gentle and kind about helping him, which I love.
They are a literal power couple- an angel and portal opener? Hell yeah.
A shared love of Pop’s (and food) is an excellent foundation for a relationship.
She’s his muse 🥺
All the nicknames- Jug, Tabs, Tabby (we need more of that one!)
They are such an adult, stead and mature couple, and they lack the drama that tends to linger around other couples.
They got not one but TWO love confessions. Endgame much?
Rivervale Jabitha were slaying; not even evil ghosts can tear them apart.
Their working together in Pop’s is so precious. Like, imagine all of the shenanigans they get up to while on shift together?
Erinn and Cole clearly enjoy working together.
Pop loves both of them- it’s just so perfect. He can be both of their grandpa.
Their relationship build up was amazing- the perfect, season long slowburn. It didn’t feel rushed at all.
They both cook for each other and it’s pretty frickin’ cute.
Their apartment has the nicest aesthetic (seventies vibes methinks??)
When he went missing, she started looking for him immediately, whereas nobody even noticed/cared. “Did nobody miss me?” Well Tabitha clearly does when you're not around.
And then again when he died, she ran to the bunker in heels to look for him.
She died and came back to life to re-incarnate him. If that isn’t true love, I don’t know what is.
Both of their duets are absolute bangers and the cutest to watch.
The way they look at each other is just 💕
Jughead supports Tabitha’s in her hopes and dreams, and she supports him in his. Every time one of them achieves something they hype each other up in the most amazing way!
When they do get an S E X scene, I just know it will be the most adorable thing ever.
If they end up getting engaged/married it will undoubtedly be the most hilarious and precious affair ever. *I wholeheartedly believe the “ring in a burger” theory*.
They have so many wonderful characteristics in common (loyalty, compassion, intelligence, etc). Their personalities and moral values make them so compatible.
All of the Jabitha content I've seen is flawless- I said what I said.
And with that said, my Jabitha mutuals and fellow shoppers are the loveliest people ever: I’m grateful to have been able to meet all of you guys through this ship.

16 and 22?
16. a fic you're very proud of? as of right now, the fic i'm the MOST proud of is probably this jabarchie fic i wrote for @americanphysco's birthday this year.
22. favourite part about writing fanfiction? i love getting to explore different aspects of a character's personality as i write them. figuring out how a character would respond to different situations, or how they would express their emotions or communicate with their friends is super interesting to me. also, having a scene that's very fleshed out in my mind and putting it to page is great too.

🍳 + jabarchie (jughead/tabitha/archie)
Archie rises when the sun first breaks, the sky almost as red as his hair.
The early bird does catch the worm, and he's always found mornings to be the most rewarding time of day. Sneaking into the kitchen to pour a bowl of Apple Jacks to smack on while sitting too close to the TV watching Saturday morning cartoons as a kid, slipping out for a run and having the sidewalks all to himself for miles, the stolen moments of silence before school and service, the stunning sunrises outside his window no matter where he was...
And making his loved ones breakfast.
It's Archie's shift to shine. Jughead helps pack lunches, Tabitha spends her Sundays meal prepping dinner for the next week, and neither of them want to mess with frying anything first thing after doing it all day - the only machine they dare to touch before is the Keurig, and they'll be hovering around it soon.
He gets cracking, whisking the eggs with milk and a dash of salt and pepper in a bowl before pouring the mixture into the pan and stirring it around with the spatula. Scrambled is easier on their stomachs. He dishes his portion into a tortilla, cutting up a slice of sausage and chopping potatoes for his protein burrito.
Those potatoes are what he takes the most pride in, it's an Andrews family recipe that he uses. It's so good that he can't keep it a secret when Tabitha asks; starchy russet potatoes, butter, simple salt and pepper, olive oil, a dash of paprika salt and a little zest of lemon juice.
They emerge from their quarters right as the cinnamon toast pops from the toaster, yawning their good mornings and clutching onto their robes as they head towards the cupboards for their favorite mugs. Without a word, Jughead lifts Archie's Garfield cup off the counter and tops it up first.

Thinking about how your ship was literally out here being siblings yet still fucking, and you all have the audacity to talk about my ships having no chemistry or caring about each other. Atleast BOTH my ships are TOGETHER, bugvarchies can't relate. Jabarchie all day everyday from here on out. What you all need to do is count your blessings that the actors were together in real life or else your ship would've been bones seasons ago
At least when my ship was together, I was out there enjoying their content. But you are so bitter, after either years of not getting what you want or because you know that those awfully written ships of yours won't last, you can't enjoy what you have right now and instead think you can come to my inbox and... what? Taunt me? Good luck with that.

thinking about how jughead is the one writing the story and tabitha and archie are narrative parallels and the angelic pure-hearted hero figures of the story and they're both apart of jughead's most important memories and the two of them are extremely close and their relationship has actually helped shape the town for the better and archie finally picked up his guitar again for the first time in forever because of his and tabitha's shared goal and how archie and tabitha check in with each other about how jughead's doing and how jughead would do anything to protect archie and tabitha would venture through a thousand futures to save jughead and archie would sacrifice himself in the battle against percival (and just about any other situation) to protect them both and-

if you're still taking fic prompts, what about something with jabitha moving into/remodelling their apartment? since we don't rly see them do that in dale
Tabitha walks into her apartment to find a man sitting at her table. "Jughead? Is that you?"
He turns to face her, and she sees that it is in fact her boyfriend. "Tabitha, hey." He gets up out of the chair and walks to her, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I found a spare key and let myself in, hope that's alright."
"Yeah, no problem. Whatever you need." She takes a quick glance around her apartment and sees that the floors are empty of boxes. "Don't you have any belongings to bring in?"
He shakes his head. “Most of my stuff was destroyed in the explosion, Archie’s supposed to bring whatever survived in an hour or two."
Tabitha muses over that. Jughead didn't have much already and now a bomb going off, ruining what little he did have? She feels compassion for her boyfriend, moving in a lot quicker than their original plan. "Well, as I said before, whatever you need, I'm here for you."
Jughead holds her face with one hand and pulls her in for a kiss. "I know."
She kisses him back, standing on her toes to lift herself up a few inches. She appreciates Jughead leaning down slightly for her, even though the height between them isn't that much.
When they break apart, Tabitha remembers what she originally meant to do upon walking into her apartment. “I almost forgot, I brought you dinner.” She holds up a bag of Pops takeout and grins at him. “Figured you’d be in the zone.”
"Thanks, Tabs." Jughead takes the bag out of her hands and places it next to his typewriter. He turns to Tabitha and kisses her again, holding her shoulders. "Thank you again for everything. I don't know what I'd do without you," he admits onto her lips.
She doesn't respond, only kisses him back. It's all she can do, really. With everything going on in Riverdale, letting Jughead move in a little earlier than they had planned is the least she could do.
A few hours later, just like Jughead said, Archie is knocking on their door. "All I was able to find were some clothes, and these aren't even burned."
Tabitha holds the box and quickly realizes how light it is. "And he didn't have much when he was living with you?"
"Barely." Archie picks up another box and gestures to the inside of her apartment. "Can I come in?"
"Of course." She moves out of the way to let him in and closes the door once Archie has made his way through the small living space.
He opens his mouth to ask a question when Jughead walks into the living room from the writing nook they had set up together. "Arch, hey."
There's an awkward silence as the friends exchange words of concern for each other. Tabitha places the box she'd been holding on the floor. "Thanks for stopping by, Archie."
He turns to her and nods. "No problem. I'll see you two tomorrow?"
"This is Riverdale. Obviously we'll see you tomorrow," Jughead remarks, wrapping an arm around Tabitha.
Archie chuckles at that and waves goodbyes to the new couple, leaving their apartment and the two alone.
"I saw how much, well, little, Archie brought," Tabitha says, trying to comfort her boyfriend. "Jug, if you need anything, please let me know."
His face falls a bit, she notices. The last thing she wants is to see Jughead upset, so she kisses him again. She sends every thought and feeling of comfort to him through their lips. She never wants to be away from him.
Their lips part. "Come on. I'll show you our bed."

📸 this I gotta see :)
hii sorry this is so late I just got very caught up in life yk how it gets :(
technically this is one pic but it's a looong one so I cut it into two parts. also this is a jabitha fic, but I hope it's okay with you that I added in some elements of their friendship with archie, since I do like those dynamics :)

The couch already looks worn down and well-loved by the time they stumble across it in the corner of the thrift store, but Tabitha falls in love with it too fast to resist buying it.
It's a much larger sofa than their current one, with thick round arm rests, and three rectangular cushions lining the back. The plush green fabric is faded from age, but there's still hints of that original emerald color buried in there.
They had to call Archie to help them carry it inside later that same day, offering to pay him in free food and a movie (The Sandlot, Jughead remembers it being his favorite) as long as he lugs half of it up the three flights of stairs of them.
The three of them practically melt into the chair when they're finished, collapsing into a pile of tangled limbs and heaving chests as Tabitha switches the TV on.
Ever since that afternoon, the couch has gotten a lot of use.
Jughead's made a small office space on the right side of the couch, covering it in pages and pages of unfinished comics and scrawled out plot points. The shape of his hunched-over back is practically etched into the cushions after a few weeks, and Tabitha can trace the phantom line of his shoulders in the fabric whenever he's gone.
Tabitha's managed to claim the left side of the couch for herself. There's a small stack of her favorite tapes nestled beside the arm of her side, just close enough for her to reach down and grab one for an impromptu movie night. A few of Jughead's go-tos have made their way into the pile, but Tabitha isn't complaining. As much as she pretends to be annoyed by his films choices, she does secretly have a soft spot for Scorsese.
The center of the couch has been left open for any guests that might come by. Their door's almost always open for passerbys, and more often than not Archie, Veronica, Toni, or Betty can be found seated between Jughead and Tabitha, the three of them lost in a conversation together.
Currently, Archie's laying between them, sprawled out the same way he was on the first day they picked up the couch. His forehead is covered in a thin sheet of sweat from the summer heat, and Tabitha watches his chest slowly rise and fall in rhythm with his panting breaths. Their air conditioning broke a couple of days prior, and while Tabitha can tell Archie is uncomfortable sitting there, she knows that he doesn't have the heart to complain about it.
When Harry Met Sally is playing on the TV across from them, but none of them are paying much attention to it. It's one of the few movies they can all agree on, so they've seen it close to fifty times, but between the searing heat and each other's company, all three pairs of eyes keep drifting away from the screen.
Tabitha decides to turn the movie off just before they get halfway through.
Archie and Jughead simultaneously turn their heads to face her, confused expressions on both of their faces.
"I was thinking that we could head to Pop's and make some milkshakes instead of sitting here waiting to get heat stroke all day. What do you think?"
"I thought Pop's was closed on Mondays." Archie frowns.
"Pop's is closed to the public on Mondays. But you're forgetting who has the keys." Tabitha jumps to her feet and retrieves the diner's keyring from the pocket of her apron, which is hanging alongside their front door.
She watches as Jughead and Archie move to follow her. Archie discards his button-up on the couch as he stands, leaving him in just a gray tee. It isn't the first time he's left something of his in their apartment, left alone in the exact spot his blue shirt is positioned right now, and Tabitha knows it won't be the last. Part of the Tabitha wants to point the garment out to him now, but the rest of her rules against it. It'll give him an excuse to come back soon anyway, and she always enjoys seeing her friends.
She lets Archie leave first, and he shoots her a grateful smile as he walks past her. Jughead is trailing shortly behind him, stopping only to give Tabitha a small kiss on the cheek for holding the door open. She waits until they're both midway down the hall before leaving herself, slowly shutting the lights off as she does. It's still early enough in the evening for the sun to illuminate the high points of the apartment, causing the corners of the countertop and the curve of the coffee table to glow the same warm yellow color as the sky outside. It even manages to reach the couch, embedding itself into the cushions and forming a faint halo around the silhouette.
"Tabs? You coming?"
Tabitha turns her head to the side, one hand still wrapped around the silver doorknob. Jughead is waving her towards them, waiting with Archie in front of the elevator.
"Just a sec, babe."
Tabitha smiles to herself as she shuts the door before smoothing out her skirt and catching up with the others. She's already got a new milkshake flavor in her head that she's excited to show them, and maybe she can even convince them to look for some maroon throw pillows to compliment the couch with her afterwards.

🍄 jughead!
tysm for the ask :)) I've been working on a longer tabitha/archie/jughead about them dealing with the aftermath of season 5 in a universe where archie moves in w jabitha instead of betty (and there's no superpowers. I started this pre s6) on and off for a while now, so here's a short jarchie section that takes place towards the beginning of it :)) hope you like it!
-
"Hey, everything alright?"
Archie turns around, finding himself face to face with Jughead, who's standing in the doorway with crossed arms and a slight frown.
"It's fine. It's not like I have much to unpack anyway." He tries to talk a little louder than usual, slowing himself down to make everything sound clearer. In a way it's his fault that Jughead's been struggling with his hearing, so he owes it to him to be accommodating. If he had just remembered that Jughead was in the garage, if he had just turned around and gone back for him, then Jughead wouldn't be bouncing between doctors and scrambling to learn to read lips.
Jughead's frown deepens. "Yeah, I figured. I'd offer you some of my clothes but I think your eight pack would stretch them all out."
"I appreciate that, Jug, but I can always buy new ones."
Jughead steps past him, slowly, and starts to open one of the nearby boxes.
“Actually, I might have something that’ll fit you.” he says, his back turned towards Archie as he speaks. “I still have some of the clothes you lent me in high school.”
Archie watches as he reaches into the box and pulls out a pile of haphazardly folded shirts, lingering for a moment before handing the top one off to Archie.
And yeah, it definitely belonged to Archie at one point. He recognizes the emblem on the front, a Star Wars logo so faded that all you can see is the "S" and the "r"s.

riverdale ferris bueller's day off episode in which tabitha (the ferris stand-in) notices that jughead (cameron) has stressed himself out to the point of illness and decides to take him and archie (sloane) out to new york city for a break. betty is the jeanie stand-in and when she discovers that tabitha has taken her first day off in the history of ever she is instantly suspicious and decides to break into archie's house because she believes tabitha has secretly been having an affair with him. tabitha also ends up stealing reggie's car because she mistakes it for veronica's and veronica offhandedly told tabitha that she's always welcome to borrow her things one night a month ago while drunk off her ass, so tabitha took that as permission to take her car for her inner city excursion (she did text veronica to let her know after the fact. dw, she's considerate). also yes tabitha does hijack a parade and yes she is dating both archie and jughead and yes she also commits identify theft to get them a table at the fanciest restaurant in nyc (dorsia).

ideal endgames for me include the jughead/archie/tabitha throuple, dysfunctional on-again-off-again beronica with a side of veronica and reggie hooking up once every couple of months before promptly returning to rivals/enemies/bitter exes/whatever they are, tangs being happily married, cheryl juggling the second coming of her cult-leader career (this one is a witch themed cult and they do occasionally indulge in cannibalism) and a series of relationships with evil women, kevin dying alone, chicles 🥰, and moose finding happiness in a long term off screen relationship with someone who is heavily implied to be one of the many minor queer characters riverdale has introduced in the past.

okay. hypothetical jughead coming out episode. the episode takes place after jughead has rejoined society (or is interacting w people about as much as jughead normally does anyway) and it begins in the middle of his dream. in his dream we see him and tabitha asleep beside each other which all nice and normal and then slowly the camera pans over to reveal archie with his big strong biblical arms slung over both their waists. jughead wakes up in a cold sweat. he doesn't want to bring the dream up to tabitha and potentially make things awkward so he makes the even worse decision of going to betty about this. while discussing his dream with her we get another flashback to the dream, this time showing the aftermath of dream jabarchie stirring awake and the three of them exchanging kisses. betty is unfazed by this, even though her boyfriend is involved. she just assumes it's a run of the mill bisexual dream because she always assumed jughead was at least a little gay. jughead does not take this well and leaves, but he has the same dream later that night, prompting him to finally bring it up to tabitha. tabitha informs jughead that she has also been having the same dream as him, and after some conversations and dream experimenting, we learn that jughead's superpower has evolved again and he can now both summon people into his dreams and he can enter theirs. it's very kristen noes3 of him. anyway I think this dream power is EXTREMELY plot relevant, since he has to use his dream hopping abilities to help take down percival, and during the big war it gets revealed that archie was also being subconsciously summoned into the threesome dream. betty stops being unfazed at this point and she calls jughead a homewrecking whore over it. jughead's sexuality is never mentioned again.

idk if you meant send it as an ask, but I think jughead should come out in that he figures out why all of his stories always centre around archie, why he's so important to him even after all the stuff that's gone down between them, the red circle and being-hiram's-capo and the cheating and the abandoning (circa s1) idk maybe if he survives the encounter with vale!jughead they should compare notes and realise that it's him, it's him, it's always been him. i think maybe he realises that tabitha and archie are the same person, and that's why he fell so completely for tabith when a female version of archie was presented to him...also in this version of riverdale I choose to believe archie actually cares about jughead and did in fact worry when they had to fake his death (s4) and when he lost his hearing. but anyway i think jughead should confess his love and then immediately be put in a life threatening situation and the almost-loss makes archie realise he IS in love with jughead and they kind of hold each other like that one scene under the light of the bunker hatch.
if jughead and tabitha do break up (which I Hope They Do Not) but if they did for the sake of getting archie and jughead together, I think tabitha and veronica should get together. i mean hello if anyone from the core four was bisexual it shouldve been veronica can you imagine how excellent she would be dating a girl, and tabitha deserves someone who can match her tenacity and ingenuity like they would fit so well together imo...and idk what betty is up to in this scenario idc but I assume she goes back to the FBI headquarters to sleep with agent drake whatever idgaf about betty she's boring (the darkness shtick is getting old) but basically I believe that they should have a reference to the east village scene and then flash forward to like 4 years later and these two are actually IN New York (so are tabs and ronnie) and they're living happily ever after the end. sorry this is so ridiculously long xx
bestie never apologize for a long jughead coming out conspiracy. anyway I'm obviously a jabarchie truther but I can also totally get behind tabitha and veronica getting together they 100% were flirting with each other in the pop's franchising episode. anyway I love this anon. jarchie longcon but it's jughead being driven to bisexual insanity by gazing into his vale self's eyes for the brief moment before he lost consciousness. real <3
