Facts about Junior in the Valley of the Dolls AU
+ Junior’s full name is Logan Aiden Wheeler II by birth certificate. Aidan is the name of Bree’s late older brother.
+ Him and Jake’s previous relationship as a cousins used to be closed until the death of Aunt Mary and Jake shutting those around him out due to being the remaining survivor of the car accident.
+ While staying with Tiffany as an accomplice and posing as a “family friend”, he learns to do the slit throat trick but with a barber sheer like Sweeney Todd. Fits him as he wants to be a singer/musician
+ He grows a few inches while residing with Tiff and begins to cut his hair from that look in s1.
+ Like the original concept I had, he’s stuck in a toxic codependency with Tiffany with the two feeding off the other negatively.
+ He does have an ED which is somewhat hinted but later confirmed when first time residing with Tiffany.
+ Glen, Glenda and Paul aren’t aware of the fact their mother and soon to in law (one day) has been keeping a missing kid for a year.
+ Junior likes rock ranging from 70s/90s pop rock, psychedelic, punk rock, and arena rock, something his mom and maternal uncle would show him before he passed away when he was 8.

Supernatural Series Rewrite
Supernatural Rewrite Masterlist
Dean Winchester x named reader (eventually)
Series Warning: language violence, angst, fluff, sexual content, Gore, molestation, mention of sexual harassment, usual supernatural violence. (If you’re triggered by any of these then please don’t read)
(A/n- I had to give the reader a name, there’s reason behind it but you can change it if you want. I changed some of the plot and some of the scenes but mostly it’s the same. I do not own the supernatural series but there are some things that are completely my imagination, it has nothing to do with the actual mythology or the series)
Dead in the water part 2
Season one. Episode Three.
Dead In The Water (Part 3)
Tumblr media
"okay, just so I'm clear, you see something attack Bill's boat, sending Bill, who is a very good swimmer by the way, into the drink. And you never see him again?" Jake asked looking at the three of you as you sat in front of his desk with the brothers in your each side.
"Yeah that about sums it up " Dean said while you and Sam nodded your heads.
"And I'm supposed to believe this, even though I've already sonar swept the entire lake, and what you're describing is impossible. And you're not really wildlife service?" You raised your eyebrow at his last comment. "That's right, I checked, the department's never heard of the three of you."
"See? Now, we can explain that-" Dean started.
"Enough, please. The only reason you're breathing free air is one of Bill's neighbors saw him steering out that boat just before you did. So, we have a couple of options here, I can arrest you for impersonating government officials and hold you as material witnesses to Bill Carlton's disappearance. Or, we can chalk this all up to a bad day. You get into your car, you put this town in your rearview mirror and you don't ever darken my doorstep again." Jake said looking specially at you.
"Look-" you started but Sam held your hand as in to tell you to stop talking.
"Door number two sounds good."
"That's the one I'd pick." Said Jake and with that the 3 of you stood up and left the precinct without another word. You all got in the car and took off.
Dean didn't say anything at all but you couldn't sit silent anymore.  "So, that's it? We're just gonna leave town?" You asked as he stopped at the red light. None of them answered. "Come on, guys, we can't just leave before making sure the case is solved, actually we don't leave until we make sure the case is solved, we are Hunters, that's not what we do." You sighed when there was no reply again.
You had no idea why you were being so desperate about this case, maybe because you relate to Lucas on so many levels.
"Green." Sam suddenly says.
"What?" You and Dean ask in sync.
"Light's green." Dean started the car and took the right from the signal instead of left.
"Ah, the interstate's the other way." Sam pointed out.
"I know." Dean replied and a big smile crept on your face at the realisation of what he was going.
"But, Dean, this job, I think it's over." Sam said. "I'm not so sure." Dean replied.
"Wow you guys were really ignoring me." You huffed out, crossed your arms over your chest.
"No one was ignoring you, Alex. It's just really hard not to give in when you make that puppy face." Sam says seriously and Dean nodded along. "But anyway, if Bill murdered Peter Sweeney, and Peter's spirit got it's revenge, case closed. The spirit should be at rest."
"And what if we take off and this thing isn't done? what if we missed something and now people get hurt?" You said.
"Why would you think that?"
"Because Lucas was really scared." Dean answered for you.
"That's what this is about?"
"I just don't wanna leave town till I know the kid's okay. And like Alex said, we are Hunters and we don't leave until we know the job is done."
"Who are you? And what have you done to my brother?" Sam asked making you giggle.
"Shut up." Dean said.
Dean pulled up at Andrea home and the three of you rushed to the front door.
"Are you sure about this? It's pretty late guys!" Sam said when you were about to ring the bell and as soon as you did Lucas came bolting through the door, panting very rapidly.
"Lucas!" You and Dean said at the same time and the boy ran inside, you took off after him. You ran up the stairs and saw water coming out from under one of the doors on which Lucas was banging on Dean grabbed him and handed him to you. You picked him up and surprisingly he clung on to you.
Both the brothers rushed inside to help Andrea who was drowning in her bath tub. "Shhh." You tried to calm him down and he kept shaking furiously. The boys were finally able to pull Andrea out of her bathtub.
As the sun came up Sam was sitting in the living room with Andrea, trying to ask her about the drowning. Dean and you were going through old scrapbooks trying to find something that would relate them to Bill Carlton. " Hey, check this out."  Dean said and showed you a album which read on the cover 'jake-12 year old'.
You flipped through it when you're eyes landed in a group photo. "Dean, that's Peter Sweeney." You said pointing at one of the little boys, you rushed in to the living room and put the album in front of Andrea.
"Do you recognize any of the kids in this picture?" You asked and the three pairs of eyes were on you. "What?" She asked. "Is any of this is your dad?" You asked again and both the brothers immediately understood what you were doing.
"Yeah, yes, that one. He must have been 12 in this picture. why?" she said pointing at another picture.
"Chris Barr's drowning, connection wasn't to Bill Carlton. It must have been sheriff." You explained looking at the brothers.
"Bill and the sheriff. They were both involved with Peter." Sam said. Andrea was asking something when your eyes fell on Lucas who was staring out of the window intensely and Dean seemed to notice it as well.
"Lucas, Lucas what is it." Lucas didn't answer, instead he opened and started walking and you followed him.  He stopped at a point and pointed down at the ground.
"You and Lucas get back to the house and stay there okay?" Dean demanded softly and Andrea took her son inside without another question.  Sam found two shovels in the garage and the brothers started digging.
"Are you seriously going take advantage to being a girl right now?" Dean and before they even started digging.
"What? No I'm not. Really. Sam could only find 2 shovels." You said innocently.
"Oh you can take mine." This time it was Sam who commented.
"No thanks, keep digging." The shovels were suddenly met with metal. They pulled out the object from the ground and it turned out to be a bike. "Peter's bike." Sam mumbled.
You suddenly felt an arm around your neck and metal pressed against your temple. "Ummm... Guys." You said as calmly as you could and both of them turned around with wide eyes.
"Who are you?" You heard Jake's voice.
"Put the gun down, Jake." Sam said calmly raising his hand in surrender. You could take the gun out from Jake's hand, you were fast enough, but you couldn't risk because you surely weren't faster than a bullet.
"How did you know that was there?" He asked not removing the gun from your temple.
"What happened? You and Bill killed Peter? Drowned him in the lake, and then buried the bike? You can't bury the truth Jake. nothing stays buried." You said and his grip on you tightened.
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about?"
"You and Bill killed Peter Sweeney 35 years ago that's what the hell she's talking about." Dean said.
"Dad." You here Andrea yell as she ran up to you.
"And now you got one seriously pissed-off spirit."
"It's gonna take Andrea, Lucas, everyone you love. It's gonna drown them and it's gonna drag their bodies god knows where. So you can feel the same pain Peter's mom felt. And then after that, it's gonna take you and it's not gonna stop until it does." Sam explained calmly unlike you.
"Yeah? And how do you know that?" Jake asked.
"Because that's exactly what it did you Bill Carlton." You said.
"Listen to yourselves, you're insane."
"We don't really give a rats ass what you think of it but if we're gonna bring down this spirit we need to find the remains, salt then and burn them into dust." Said Dean.
"Tell us you buried Peter somewhere. Tell us you didn't just let him go in the lake." You said.
"Dad, in any of this true?"
"No, don't listen to them. They're liars and dangerous."
"Something tried to drown me. Chris died on that lake, Dad look at me. Tell me you didn't kill anyone." Andrea asked and Jake finally let go of you putting down the gun. Dean instantly pulled you by his side. "Oh, my god." Andrea said when Jake didn't answer and kept breathing heavily.
"Billy and I were at the lake. Peter was the smallest one. We always bullied him, but this time, it got rough, we were holding his head under water, we didn't mean to, but we held him under too long and he drowned. We let the body go and it sank." Jake finally confessed. "Oh Andrea, we were kids, we were so scared. It was a mistake but, Andrea to say that I've anything to do with these drownings, with Chris..... Because of some ghost ,it's not rational."
"Alright, listen to me. All of you. We need to get you away from this lake , as far as we can right now." Dean said and Andrea looked at something and gasped. You turned around to see Lucas kneeling near the lake. Your eyes widen and all of you ran toward him.
"Lucas." You kept yelling. He was reaching down into the lake for something. Suddenly a hand came up and pulled him into the lake. Dean and Sam wasted no time and jumped in. Andrea was about to jump in as well but you held her back. "No you can't go in."
"But Lucas."
"They'll get him, just stay on the dock." You said and held her back.
"Ok I'm going in. Stay here please." You said when neither of them came up with Lucas. You took off your jacket and jumped inn. You dived in for a few secs and then came up with nothing the same time Sam and Dean did.
"Jake. No. Get back." You yelled when you saw Jake coming inside the lake. "Just let it over." He yelled and then he was pulled inside the lake by something. "dad! No!" Andrea yelled and you dived down again in search of Lucas. You came up same time as Sam did, you looked at each other and shook your head. A few seconds later Dean came up as well, and this time with Lucas. You quickly swam toward them to help him.
You swam out and help Lucas out. He coughed out some water and started breathing again. All three of you sat on the ground to catch your breath and Andrea hugged her son tightly.
*******
You opened the backdoor of the car and threw your stuff inside, Dean did the same but a little more roughly.
"Look, Dean, we can't save everyone. We can try but it comes with the job and you have to suck it up." You said putting your hand on his bicep. You felt like you were telling that to yourself more than you were telling him.
"I know." He replied looking down at his feat when suddenly a voice caught your attention. "Sam, Dean." It was none other than Andrea and you ignored the fact that she left out your name. Somehow she thought her dad dying was your fault and even though she didn't admit it out loud, you knew and you didn't blame her for that.
She ran up to you guys, Lucas's was beside her holding a casserole of food. "hey." Dean greeted them and you gave a soft smile to Lucas who returned it.
"We're glad we caught you. We just, I'm, we made you lunch for the road. Lucas insisted on making the sandwiches himself."
"Can I give it to them now?" Lucas asked for the first time and god was his voice the sweetest in the world. She agreed and gave him a kiss on the head.
"Come on, Lucas, let's load this in the car." Dean said and gestured Sam as well to follow them.
"How you holding up?" You asked with a smile.
"It's just gonna take a long time to sort through everything, you know?"  After a few seconds of silence you said.
"Andrea I'm sorry." You said.
"Alex, it wasn't your fault, you think I blame you but I don't. I really don't."
"You and I both know it's a lie. If only I had stayed up on the dock-" you started but she cut you off.
"You saved my son, I can't ask for more than that. Dad loved me, he loved Lucas, no matter what he did, I just have to.. hold on to that." She said making you sigh and nod.
You walked up to Sam, Dean and Lucas. Lucas and Dean were talking about something and Sam was smiling at them you smiled at them too as Dean stood up when Andrea walked up to him.
Andrea leaned over the car door and kissed him and you swear to God your heart stopped for a second but you kept smiling anyway. Dean was flustrated by the kiss and he didn't even look at you even for a second.
"Sam, move your ass." He said scratching the back of his head. "We're gonna run out of daylight before we hit the road." He walked around the car and sat in the driver seat. Andrea turned around to you and then pulled you in a hug. "Thank you." She whispered before letting you go. "You're welcome." You smiled at her. "Bye Lucas." You said with a smile and got inside the backseat.
They both waved at all three of you as Dean pulled away as 'late night fade' by 383 steamer blasted through the radio.
As he pulled up in highway his eyes met with yours through the rear view mirror. You could hear Sam's light breath which meant he was already asleep.
"Look-"
"Don't." You cut him off before he could even say anything.
"You don't even know what I was gonna say."
"Oh I know."
"Really? Because I was gonna say that now that the case is over you can finally call James Dean."
"Oh please, you and I both know I was never gonna call that idiot. And anyway now you're suddenly on board with me hooking up with other guys?" You questioned with an raised eyebrow.
"I was never against it."
"Cut the crap, Dean, who are you kidding with here, because it sure as hell ain't me." You said and he felt silent for a second.
"I'm sorry, she caught me off guard." He said after minutes of silence.
"You're sorry she kissed you or are you sorry she kissed you in front of me." You asked while desperately trying to hide your jealousy. He opened his mouth to answer but you stopped him.
"No, wait, shhh, don't answer that. You don't have to apologise at all, it's not like we're together or something so you can hook up with anyone you want."  You said and crossed your arms over your chest and this time he raised his eyebrow. "I mean you made it pretty clear that it's never gonna happen right after you kissed me."
"I thought we were not gonna bring it up." He said.
"Come on, you brought it up a hundred times after it happened." You scoffed. He suddenly pulled up on the side of the road.  You sat there and watched him with open mouth as he got out of the car and then pulled you out of it. "What are you doing?" You asked but he ignored you and lead you a few feet away from the car.
"You know what Alex, you are being a hypocrite right now. You said that I was giving you shit about you hooking up with another guy, and here you are giving me shit about  a girl who I didn't even kiss back."
"I'm not giving you shit about Andrea Ok, I told you, you can hook up with whoever the hell you want -"
"And that's bullshit. And you know what, you agreed with me when I said we can not be together."  He almost yelled.
"I did not agree to shit, you threw it on my face and I had no choice but accept it." You almost yelled too.
"So what now? You want a relationship?" He straight up asked which caught you completely off guard.
"What? No. I don't... I don't know. Ok. But I sure as hell do not want you to hook up with another women and throwing it on my face."
"I was not-"
"I know you were not, ok , I know. Doesn't mean it hurts less."
"Guys what happened?" You turned around to see Sam stand out from the car. You ignored him and turned back to Dean.
"We'll be right back Sam, just go back inside." Dean replied to his brother. "Look Alex, you need to make up your mind."
"I did. I want you."  You said softly grabbing his shirt and pulling yourself closer to him.
"Dad, Bobby, they'd kill me." He said.
"I know." You said and tears welled up in your eyes.
"Then you also know there will never be an us." He said and a tear escaped your eyes.
"I know." You said even more softly. "It's just so hard, watching you with other women, who are your age, beautiful and can have a relationship with you."
"Alex I know you never believe this but you are the most beautiful, stunning woman I've seen in my life,  and you don't know how hard it is for me to be with you all the time without grabbing you and kissing you."  He said cupping your face with one hand and you leaned into it. "I want to be with you as much as you do."
"But you can't?"
"But I can't." And with that he walked back to the car leaving you standing alone on the highway. A few seconds later you walked back as well. The rest of the ride both of you didn't say anything and Sam respected that.

🎰 not me walking up late w starbucks as per usual
felix gardiner and farah draven ( freddy carter and minka kelly )
okay we're off to a good start because i ?? am ?? obsessed ?? i can see felix washing her car or smth to make money before he made it big ( my pale son would NOT be a pool boy rip ) and just terribly flirt with her. 'uh yeah i used to be pretty big on vine' shut the FUCK up this would be so funny. just her tolerating him because he's pretty and makes killer old fashioneds
alsandair farren and gabriel wan ( jake gyllenhaal and max minghella )
NOT tolerating alex with anyone romantically except with his soulmate andrew porter. that's all. but no they're giving grumpy sassy bffs they're giving bonding over drinking about their jobs they're giving... dare i say it... past messy friends with benefits because alsandair has never admitted to having emotions in his life
peyton walker and tyler rediker ( jack quaid and evan roderick )
they would be theee most insufferable youtube bros ever actually i think. peyton would definitely be low-key jealous of but equally pining after tyler because. look at him. also i think they'd both treat women terribly and there's really no stronger bond among men
honey hewlett and angelica colburn ( sydney sweeney and katherine newton )
good GOD this would be toxic. honey would definitely be a groupie but simultaneously want to keep it secret because her and angelica are opposites aesthetically and her brain would short circuit at the thought of people actually associating them together ?? but also be unhinged about angelica fucking other people ?? obsessed
poppy reynolds and annabeth hadfield ( lily james and mia healey )
poppy definitely dealt drugs in her bar and eye-fucked her across the counter one night and now she spends all her time wondering why she's caught feelings for theeee most cynical woman in los angeles. definitely spends all her time dragging her to parties to get her to loosen up

Truth Revealed (Dead in the Water S1, Ep3, Pt3)
Supernatural Season 1 Episode 3 Part 3 Warnings: Minor character death.   Words: 3,342
Masterlist
“Sam, Dean, Y/n.” Andrea breathes once she sees the three of you including her father, enter her home. She stood up and placed a bag and a container on the chair she was sitting on. She had a surprised look on her face with a bit of confusion. “I didn't expect to see you here.” You and the boys were in the police station. “So now you're on a first-name basis. What are you doing here?” Her father replied as he walked towards his chair and sat down. “I brought you dinner.” She said, pointing to the container, the stern look on Jake’s face melted into a gentle expression. “I'm sorry, sweetheart, I don't really have the time.” He replied, frowning a bit at his answer. “I heard about Bill Carlton. Is it true? Is something going on with the lake?” Andrea couldn’t help but question everything she had been hearing throughout town. Gossip and rumors spread like wildfire. Her father sighs and leans back in his chair, rubbing a hand down his tired features. “Right now we don't know what the truth is. But I think it might be better if you and Lucas went on home.” Lucas whining caught yours and the brothers attention, he jumped up from his chair and tugged on the sleeve of your coat with a stricken face. He looked panicked. “Hey buddy” You say, grabbing his hand “It’s okay” You soothed, a reassuring smile on your face “It’s okay, Lucas.” Andrea pulled Lucas away from you before leading him outside, the whole time Lucas didn’t break eye contact with you until the door closed. Jake took off his jacket and gestured to the seats in front of you like the day before. “Okay, just so I'm clear, you see...something attack Bill's boat, sending Bill—who is a very good swimmer, by the way—into the drink, and you never see him again?” Jake asked, he looked up from his desk and stared at each of you with a poker face. Dean glanced at you and Sam before returning his eyes to the sheriff. “Yeah, that about sums it up.” Dean breathes, the three of you refused to sit down. “And I'm supposed to believe this, even though I've already sonar-swept that entire lake? And what you're describing is impossible? And you're not really Wildlife Service?” You and Dean stared at the man with surprise. “That's right, I checked. Department's never heard of you two.” He leaned forward, placing his hands on his desk. “See, now, we can explain that.” Dean offered, you rolled your eyes. How are you going to get out of this one? “Enough. Please.” Jake sighed, he looked down at his desk before locking eyes with each of you for a few seconds and then shifting to the next person. “The only reason you're breathing free air is one of Bill's neighbors saw him steering out that boat just before you did. So, we have a couple of options here. I can arrest you for impersonating government officials and hold you as material witnesses to Bill Carlton's disappearance. Or, we can chalk this all up to a bad day, you get into your car, you put this town in your rearview mirror, and you don't ever darken my doorstep again.” “Door number two sounds good.” You and Sam say in sync, a small smile on your face. “That's the one I'd pick.” Jake smiles. *** After you grabbed your bags and checked out of the motel room and drove far enough out of town, Dean stopped at an intersection. The light was green and there were no cars coming either way, none was behind you. You looked into the rearview mirror with a questioning gaze, Dean stared straight ahead and tapped his fingers on the wheel. “Green.” Sam says, Dean glances at his brother with confusion. “What?” Dean says, he blinks and shifts his attention when his brother gestured to the traffic light. “Light's green.” Sam says, Dean stares at it for a moment or two without looking away. “You know” You say, Sam shifts in his seat as he waited for his brother to press on the gas and leave the town in the rearview mirror. “Something doesn’t seem right.” You had a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach, the mystery of the case wasn’t solved and whatever was in that lake was obviously dangerous; it won’t stop until it gets what it wants or you kill it. “Nothing seems right about this case actually, it’s targeting specific people, not random.” Dean bites his lip unconsciously as he listens to what you have to say before he finally made the decision to turn right, back to town. “Uh, the interstate's the other way.” Sam says, you release a breath you didn’t know you were holding. You were relieved of Dean’s choice. “I know.” Dean replied, you leaned forward, putting your arms on the front seat. “But Dean, this job, I think it's over.” Sam looks at his brother with more confusion etched onto his face. You shake your head. “I’m not so sure about that” You say “I don’t think it’s over at all.” “If Bill murdered Peter Sweeney and Peter's spirit got its revenge, case closed. The spirit should be at rest.” Sam says, shifting his body so he could look at the both of you, his back rested against the door. “All right, so what if we take off and this thing isn't done? You know, what if we've missed something? What if more people get hurt?” Dean asks, he glanced at his brother before his eyes returned to the road, you nod your head in agreement. “I have a feeling it’s not over Sammy.” You say, he rolls his eyes at the way you said his name. “But why would you think that?” Sam asks, Dean doesn’t look at him. “Because Lucas was really scared.” “That's what this is about?” You bit your lip at Sam’s question. “I just don't want to leave this town until I know the kid's okay.” Dean replies, you nod. “Me too.” You add “He seemed really scared and it has to be related to our case, with all the clues he gave us...there’s not doubt about it.” Sam sighs and turns back in the seat so he’s facing the windshield. “Who are you? And what have you done with my brother?” Sam jokes, you roll your eyes before a smile settled on your face as Dean glances at his brother. “Shut up.” *** The Impala pulled in front of Andrea’s house, all the lights were off and it seemed eerily calm. Your eyes scanned the two story house, each window contained a dark room behind it. You looked at the driveway, Andrea’s car was in it. You exit the car with the boys following behind as you made your way up the steps. “Are you sure about this? It's pretty late, man.” Sam says, you rung the doorbell and not a second after that, Lucas opened the door with a terrified expression of his face. “Sweetie are you okay?” You ask, right after the words left your mouth Lucas took off into his house. Without any hesitation, you ran after him. You ran up the steps with the brothers on your tail, water squelched beneath your shoes as you made your way up. With the help of the moonlight coming through the windows, you saw water rushing through the crack of the door as Lucas pounded on it. You moved the boy aside as you watched Sam kick the door in before running into the bathroom. Lucas buried his face into your side as his hand clutched tightly onto your shirt. You ran your hand through his hair as you watched Sam reach into the tub and try to pull Andrea out. Whatever made her like this wouldn’t let go. With one final tug, Sam brought Andrea out of the tub. She gasped for air before coughing, your muscles relaxed and a sigh of relief escaped you as you watched her cough water out of her lungs. *** Hours after returning to the town and saving Andrea, dawn broke over the horizon and birds sung like nothing happened earlier. You sat on the couch in the living room as Andrea sat across from you. Her hair was dry and she wore comfortable clothing but yet her hands still shook from the event. Dean looked through journals on bookshelves for answers as Sam sat next to you. “Can you tell us?” Sam asked, Andrea shook her head as tears threatened to fall. “No.” She replied before she buried her face in her hands “It doesn't make any sense.” Her voice cracked. “I'm going crazy.” A sob escaped her. “No, you're not.” You reassured “Tell us what happened. Everything.” She slowly looked up, her eyes were red as tears trailed down her cheeks. “I heard…” She started before cutting herself off with a shake of her head “I thought I heard...there was this voice.”   “What did it say?” Sam asked, she looked between the two of you before gulping. “It said...it said 'come play with me'.” Another sob erupts from her throat as she placed her head in her hands. “What's happening?” You glanced away from her and watched Dean pull a scrapbook of off the shelf and flips through it. He pulls out a square photo and closes it before walking towards the three out you and sitting down. “Do you recognize the kids in these pictures?” Dean asks, Andrea looks down at the boy scout photo before looking back up with confusion. “What? Um, um, no. I mean, except that's my dad right there. He must have been about twelve in these pictures.” She points to a different picture of Jake as a child, he stood next to Peter. You and the brothers glanced at one another. “Chris Barr's drowning.” You say, your eyes were on the photo. “The connection wasn't to Bill Carlton. It must have been to the sheriff.” “Bill and the sheriff—they were both involved with Peter.” Sam says, he looks at you before shifting his eyes back to the picture. “What about Chris? My dad—what are you talking about?” Andrea asks with confusion, she shakes her head softly. You look around for the little boy, once your eyes spotted him, you relaxed a bit. Lucas stared out the window. “Lucas?” You asked, slowly standing up. “Lucas, what is it?” He doesn’t look at you as he opened the door next to the window and walked out into his backyard. You followed him as the others trailed behind you. “Lucas, honey?” Andrea said, you followed him to the edge of his yard and watched as he looked at the ground and to you. Your eyes trailed to the ground, something glinted in the sun. “You and Lucas get back to the house and stay there, okay?” You say, shifting your attention to Andrea. She nods and pulls back Lucas without question. You sigh as you listen to the brothers walk away and come back a few minutes later with shelves.  You step back and watch as the two of them dig, not long later Sam’s shovel hit something metal. You crouched and dug with your hands until you pulled out a red bicycle. “Wow.” You say at the same time as Sam said: “Peter's bike.” “Who are you?” You turn around at the same time as the brothers did and spotted Jake pointing a gun at the three of you. “Put the gun down, Jake.” Sam said, the brothers dropped their shovels before the three of you raised your hands in the air. “How did you know that was there?” Jake questions, you lick your lips. “What happened?” You ask, gesturing to the gun with your chin “You and Bill killed Peter, drowned him in the lake and then buried the bike?” “You can't bury the truth, Jake. Nothing stays buried.” Dean says as Andrea walked out of her house. Her eyes widened at the sight of her father pointing the gun at you three. “Go to your room, sweetie. Now. Lock the door and wait for me. Don't come out.” Andrea turned around to her son standing in the doorway before she walked closer to you. “I don't know what the hell you're talking about.” Jake says, you roll your eyes despite the situation you’re in. “You and Bill killed Peter Sweeney thirty-five years ago. That's what the hell I'm talking about.” Dean says, Jake points the gun at him as Andrea picked up her pace from walking to running. “Dad!” She yelled. “And now you got one seriously pissed-off spirit.” You say. “It's gonna take Andrea, Lucas, everyone you love. It's gonna drown them. And it's gonna drag their bodies God knows where, so you can feel the same pain Peter's mom felt. And then, after that, it's gonna take you, and it's not gonna stop until it does.” Sam says, Jake shifts the gun to Sam. “Yeah, and how do you know that?” Jake raises an eyebrow. “Because that's exactly what it did to Bill Carlton.” You say, he points the gun at you now. “Listen to yourselves, both of you. You're insane.” Jake laughs. “I don't really give a rat's ass what you think of us. But if we're gonna bring down this spirit, we need to find the remains, salt them, and burn them into dust. Now tell me you buried Peter somewhere. Tell me you didn't just let him go in the lake.” Dean says, you glanced to the house, Lucas watched the scene unfold from his bedroom window. “Dad, is any of this true?” Andrea asked, she took a step toward her father. “No. Don't listen to them. They're liars and they're dangerous.” Jake glances at his daughter before his eyes quickly returned to the three of you. “Something tried to drown me. Chris died on that lake. Dad, look at me.” Andrea says, Jake turns to her. “Tell me you—you didn't kill anyone.” He visibly swallowed before looking away. “Oh my God.” She breathes, a sob escaped her as she clasped her hand over her mouth. “Billy and I were at the lake. Peter was the smallest one. We always bullied him, but this time, it got rough. We were holding his head under the water. We didn't mean to. But we held him under too long and he drowned. We let the body go, and it sank.” Dean glanced at you and his brother, your eyes were trained on the gun. “Oh, Andrea, we were kids. We were so scared. It was a mistake. But, Andrea, to say that I have anything to do with these drownings, with Chris, because of some ghost? It's not rational.” “All right” You breathed before saying louder: “listen to me, all of you. We need to get you away from this lake, as far as we can, right now.” Andrea turns to look at the lake before a gasp escaped her mouth. You, Jake, and the brothers look at the lake. Lucas walked towards it and onto the dock. “Lucas!” Jake yelled as all of you ran towards the water, you ran onto the dock with Dean and Sam behind you. “Lucas!” You yell as you heard a child's voice taunt Lucas, he leaned over the edge as a hand reached up from the water and pulled him in. You take a deep breath as you reached the edge of the dock and dived in. The freezing water chilled you to your bones, your eyes were open and all you saw was dirted water and darkness below you. Swimming up to the surface, you took a deep breath of air before diving down again, muffled yelling was all you heard until you had to break to the surface again. “Y/n?!” Sam yelled, you took in a deep breath as you heard Dean yell your name. “No.” You say, but despite the diminishing hope of the sobs that escaped Andreas mouth you dived back under. Please, you thought, please just let me find him. Your lungs burned from the lack of air you were receiving, your body felt freezing cold and black spots began to appear in your vision. You were about to swim back up until your eyes landed on something floating towards you, you swam towards it and once you realized what, or rather who, it was, you grabbed onto the body and went to the surface. You took in a deep breath, Lucas wasn’t moving, your fingertips burned from the hyperthermia spreading throughout your body. On the shore, Andrea was sobbing, her hands covering her mouth and her shoulders were shaking as she stared at the water, Jake was nowhere to be seen. *** “Look, we're not gonna save everybody.” Sam said as you leaned against the Impala and watched the brothers walk towards you from the motel. Dean sighed and rubbed his eyes tiredly. “I know.” Dean replied, you gave him a soft smile and stood up. “But we saved who we could.” You say, you turned around and looked at Andrea once you heard her call your name along with the brothers. “Hey.” Dean smiled at her. “We're glad we caught you. We just, um, we made you lunch for the road.” Andrea gestured to her son who held a tray of sandwiches. “Lucas insisted on making the sandwiches himself.” She smiled. “Can I give it to them now?” Lucas asked, Andrea nodded and watched him hand out the food after she kissed his head. “Thank you.” You grinned at the young boy. “Come on, Lucas, let's load this into the car.” Dean said, Lucas followed him to the backseat of the Impala. You looked at Andrea as Sam asked her a question. “How you holding up?” He asks, you cross your arms to help shield your body from the cool November breeze. Andrea looked down at her shoes for a moment before looking back up. “It's just gonna take a long time to sort through everything, you know?” She sighs, you look away to something in the distance. You bit your lip and nodded a bit. “Yeah” You sigh “I do get it, we’re sorry.” You looked at her, she shook her head. “You saved my son. I can't ask for more than that. Dad loved me. He loved Lucas. No matter what he did, I just have to hold on to that.” “All right, if you're gonna be talking now, this is a very important phrase, so I want you to repeat it one more time.” Dean says, the three of you turn to look at him. He looked down at Lucas who grinned back at him. “Zeppelin rules!” Lucas yelled, his eyes were shining as he fist pumped the air. “That's right. Up high.” Dean high fives the boy, a smile spread across your face at the sight. “You take care of your mom, okay?” Lucas nods as his mother walked to Dean and kissed him. “Thank you.” She says, you whistle as Dean scratched his head awkwardly. He can't handle women kissing him before he made the first move. He walks around the car to the driver's side and takes the keys out of his pockets. “Sam, Y/n, move your ass. We're gonna run out of daylight before we hit the road.” Dean says, you roll your eyes and grin at Andrea before giving her a wink. You slide into the back seat after moving the sandwiches, and closed the door behind you. Dean’s rock music blasted throughout the car as you waved goodbye to Andrea and Lucas. Once they were out of sight you turned to look at Dean, the grin was still on your face. He didn’t glance over his shoulder or look in the rearview mirror. “Saved the kid, got a kiss…and you couldn’t even handle it, Mr. Winchester.” “Shut up.”

“Mr. Carlton?” You asked, approaching the man in distress. You headed over there immediately thanks to Dean and his driving. You and the boys agreed that you would be doing the talking since you were more compassionate and your voice was more gentle than theirs.
“We’d like to ask you a few questions, if you don’t mind. We’re from the Department,” You were cut off when Bill spoke.
“I don’t care who you're with. I've answered enough questions today.” He sounded so sad, it broke your heart.
“Your son said he saw something in that lake. What about you? You ever see anything out there?” No answer was received and you sighed. “Mr. Carlton, Sophie's drowning and Will's death—we think there might be a connection to you or your family.”
“My children are gone. It’s worse than dying. Please, just go away.” You bit your lip and looked at the boys, nodding. You and the brothers made your way back to the car.
“What do you think?” You asked Dean.
“Aw, I think the poor guy's been through hell. I also think he's not telling us something.” Dean cleared his throat.
“So now what?” Sam asked, sounding defeating. You stood there with the boys for some time now. You looked at Mr. Carlton’s house and you bit your lip. That house looked very familiar. You reached into your jeans and pulled out the picture that Lucas drew for you. You help up the picture next to the house and looked at the boys.
“Maybe Bill isn’t the only one who knows something.” You looked back at the drawing.
“We must talk to that kid.” Dean said, getting into the Impala. The drive to Andrea’s house wasn’t that far, considering how small of a town this really was. The lake connected lots of house to it and Andrea’s house just happened to be one of them. You knocked on the door, hoping Andrea would answer. You got her address when you were looking in the newspaper about her husband, Chris. It was listed in there and you were thankful of that.
“Sam, Dean, Y/N, what are you doing here?” Andrea said once she opened the door.
“May I talk with Lucas?” You bit your lip.
“I’m sorry, I don’t think that’s a good idea.” She sighed.
“I just need to talk to him,” Your eyes widened in desperation. “For a few minutes.”
“He won't say anything. What good's it going to do?”
“Andrea, we think more people might get hurt. We think something's happening out there.”  Sam said gently.
“My husband, the others, they just drowned. That’s all.” Andrea shrugged.
“If that's what you really believe, then we'll go. But if you think there's even a possibility that something else could be going on here, please let me talk to your son.” You sighed, hoping you convinced her. She hesitated at first but she let you and the Winchesters inside, leading you upstairs where her son’s room was.
Lucas was coloring with toy soldiers standing all around him when you entered his room.
“Hey, Lucas, remember me?” You saw Lucas had drawn two more pictures of the red bicycle. “You know, I, uh, I wanted to thank you for that last drawing. But the thing is, I need your help again.” You crouched down next to Lucas and bit your lip. You watched as he drew a picture of a person in water. You took out the drawing he drew you and placed it in front of him.
“How did you know to draw this? Did you know something bad was going to happen? Maybe you could nod yes or no for me?” You asked, hopeful. Still, nothing came from the kid.
“You're scared. It's okay, I understand. See, I saw something real bad happen to my mom, and I was scared, too. I didn't feel like talking, just like you. But see, my mom—I know she wanted me to be brave. I think about that every day and I do my best to be brave. Maybe, your dad wants you to be brave too.” You said gently, telling him what you never told anyone. You knew your mom was proud of you but you tried to be brave so you wouldn’t disappoint her.
Lucas dropped his crayon and you had a small smile on your face, in hopes of him talking to you. All he did was hand a picture to you of a white church, a yellow house, and a boy with a blue baseball cap and a red bicycle in front of a wooden fence.
“Thanks, Lucas.” You got up and looked over at Sam and Dean with a smile. You looked at Andrea to see her frowning but she didn’t say a word to you, just led you and the boys downstairs.
“I hope you got what you were looking for.” Andrea said, crossing her arms.
“I did, thank you.” You walked out of her house quickly, noticing some tension between you two. You got inside of the Impala after Sam and Dean did and Dean started driving down to the town, looking out for buildings that looked like these.
“Andrea said the kid never drew like that till his dad died.” Dean commented, eyes looking around.
“There are cases—going through a traumatic experience could make people more sensitive to premonitions, and psychic tendencies.” Sam tried to explain away the reason why Lucas was drawing like that.
“Whatever's out there, what if Lucas is tapping into it somehow? I mean, it's only a matter of time before somebody else drowns, so if you got something better, please, speak up.” You said from the backseat. You know Lucas had something to do with this and the drawings will help you figure it out.
“Alright, we got another house to find.” Sam said.
“The only problem is there's about a thousand yellow two-stories in this county alone.” Dean sighed.
“See this church? I bet there's less than a thousand of those around here.” You held up the picture to show Sam and Dean.
“Nice job, sweetheart.” You blushed at the nickname and sat back, looking out the window. You saw the exact church you were talking about and tapped Dean’s shoulder.
“It’s right there.” Dean pulled to the curb and shut the car off, getting out. You and Sam followed suit, Sam going across the street to look at it more closely. You were about to follow when Dean stopped you.
“You know, um, what you said about your mom, you never told me that.” Dean’s eyes were soft and held so much care. Not many people see his but he cares a lot and he acts like he doesn’t but you knew him better than that. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t pretend around you.
“It’s no big deal,” You shrugged. “It got him to give me the picture.”
“Okay, sweetheart, whatever you say.” He grabbed your hand and walked with you to where Sam was. You took the picture and held it up, seeing how everything was exactly the way it was. Lucas drew this exact point in the neighborhood.
“I think that house has something to do with it.” You looked at the brothers. You walked over to the house and knocked on the door, waiting.
An old woman answered the door and she smiled at you.
“Yes, can I help you?”
“Yes, we’re sorry to bother you ma’am but does a little boy live here, by chance? He might wear a blue ball cap, has a red bicycle.” You might wonder if this woman was his grandma.
“No ma’am, not for a very long time. Peter's been gone for thirty-five years now.” You looked at the boys as she stepped further into the house. She wanted to talk about this inside and you wouldn’t complain. You walked inside, following her to the living room where she sat down.
“The police never—I never had any idea what happened. He just disappeared. Losing him, you know, it's worse than dying.” She sighed.
“Did he disappear from here? I mean, from the house?” Dean asked, looking around.
“He was supposed to ride his bike straight home after school, and he never showed up.” The woman replied with. You looked over at Dean to see him holding a picture, inspecting it further.
“Sorry for taking up your time.” From once look at Dean, you knew it was time to go. The boys shuffled out of the house, you following their tails. What did Dean figure out from the picture? Dean didn’t say a word until you three were on the road again.
“Okay, this little boy Peter Sweeney vanishes, and this is all connected to Bill Carlton somehow.” Sam spoke first.
“Yeah, Bill sure as hell seems to be hiding something, huh? The picture I found back there was a picture of the kid, Peter, with Bill back in 1970.”
“So what if Bill did something to Peter?” You asked suddenly.
“What if Bill killed him?” Sam looked at you.
“Peter's spirit would be furious. It'd want revenge; it's possible.” You shrugged.
“We should check up on Bill then.” Dean stepped on the gas as he drove back to Bill’s house. When he got there, you three stepped out.
“Mr. Carlton?” Sam called out loudly. You faintly heard an engine roar and you bit your lip, walking over to the side of the house where the lake was and saw Bill on a boat, heading out towards the middle of the lake.
“Mr. Carlton! You need to come back! Come out of the water! Turn the boat around!” Dean yelled, his voice booming.
“Mr. Carlton!!” Sam yelled. You watched as Bill drove his boat to the middle and watched as it flipped over, sending Bill into the water. He never came back up.
“Sheriff!” You called out, walking into the police station. After witnessing Bill go under, you knew that the Sheriff would have to believe you.
“Sam, Dean, Y/N.” Andrea said, going over to you. You saw Lucas huddled up, wide-eyed and scared. You felt bad for the kid but you needed to tell the sheriff what was going on.
“So now you're on a first-name basis. What are you doing here?” Jake Devins said, coming out of his office. The look he gave you was feral, like he knew something you didn’t. He looked at his daughter with a much softer look.
“I brought you dinner.” She smiled, handing him a bag.
“I'm sorry, sweetheart, I don't really have the time.” Jake sighed, looking at you.
“I heard about Bill Carlton. Is it true? Is something going on with the lake?” Andrea bit her lip, worried about what might be happening.
“Right now we don't know what the truth is. But I think it might be better if you and Lucas went on home.” Jake said to his daughter. Suddenly, Lucas shot out of his seat, running to you. He grabbed your arm, yanking on it.
“Lucas, hey, what is it?” You looked down at the kid, worried for him. “Lucas?” You tried again. No matter what, Lucas wouldn’t let go of you.
“Lucas, it's okay, it's okay. Hey, Lucas, it's okay, it's okay.” You tried to sooth the child. His mother pulled her son away from you and leads him outside. Not once did Lucas ever look away from you. That was really weird.
“Okay, just so I'm clear, you see... something attack Bill's boat, sending Bill, who is a very good swimmer, by the way, into the drink, and you never see him again?” Jake said, leading you, Sam and Dean into his office.
“Yeah, that about sums it up.” Dean nodded.
“And I'm supposed to believe this, even though I've already sonar-swept that entire lake? And what you're describing is impossible? And you're not really Wildlife Service?” Jake glared at you, singlehandedly. You bit your lip, looking guilty for a second. “That's right, I checked. Department's never heard of you three.”
“See, now, we can explain that.” Dean chuckled nervously.
“Enough, please. The only reason you're breathing free air is because one of Bill's neighbors saw him steering out that boat just before you did. So, we have a couple of options here. I can arrest you for impersonating government officials and hold you as material witnesses to Bill Carlton's disappearance. Or, we can chalk this all up to a bad day, you get into your car, you put this town in your rearview mirror, and you don't ever darken my doorstep again.” Jake threatened you.
“Door number two sounds good.” Sam nodded. He was always the ‘better safe than sorry’ kind of guy.
“That’s the one I’d pick.” Jake escorted you out of his station. What Jake actually did was escort you out of town. You watched as Jake’s car turned around and left you all alone.
“What the hell are we going to do now?” The streetlight that Dean was at turned green, signaling him that he can turn left. Turning left would get you out of the town but turning right would lead you straight back into it. Dean didn’t say a word as he turned right, heading back into to town.
“But Dean, this job, I think it’s over.” Sam said quietly.
“How can you really say that, Sam?” You said from the backseat.
“If Bill murdered Peter Sweeney and Peter's spirit got its revenge, case closed. The spirit should be at rest.” Sam explained.
“All right, so what if we take off and this thing isn't done? You know, what if we've missed something? What if more people get hurt?” Dean said, looking at his brother for a moment.
“Why would you think that?”
“Because Lucas was really scared.”
“That’s what this is about?” Sam looked back at you.
“I agree with him, Sam. Lucas wouldn’t have been that scared if he knew what was going to happen.”
“Fine, if you’re so sure.” Sam sat back, deciding not to say anything else about it. Dean decided to go to Andrea’s house to make sure Lucas was okay. You hoped to God he was because if something happened to him, you wouldn’t forgive yourself.
“Are you sure about this? It’s pretty late, man.” Sam asked his brother, looking back at you. Dean rang the doorbell, not wanting to answer his brother but when the door opened, you pushed past Sam and Dean, seeing a freighted Lucas.
“Lucas? What’s wrong?” Lucas didn’t answer but he just took off, going upstairs. You rushed inside, running upstairs with Dean and Sam hot on your trail. You stopped when you saw water pouring out from underneath the door and Lucas was pounding it, trying to get his mom to answer. You assumed she was trapped in there. You ran to the door, trying to doorknob but it wouldn’t budge. You knew you wouldn’t get this open.
“Dean, I can’t open the door.” You said.
“I’ll do it.” You grabbed Lucas and got out of the way in time to see Dean kicking the door down. Lucas was about to rush in but you stopped him. “No, Lucas, Sam got it.” Sam rushed in but you were too far away to see anything happen. You heard grunts and shouts come from the bathroom and you would go in and help but you didn’t want Lucas to see what was happening.
Suddenly, everything went quiet and Sam was walking out of the bathroom with a naked Andrea, covered in a towel. She was breathing heavily and you knew that she almost drowned. Somehow, you thought this connected to her family too.
You stayed in the house for the rest of the night, ready to help if anything was out of place; which it wasn’t. When it was around 8, the sun was in the sky but the terror still lingered.
“Can you tell me?” Sam asked Andrea when she was dry and clothed.
“No, it doesn’t make any sense,” She started to cry. “I’m going crazy.”
“No, you’re not. Tell me everything that happened.” Sam said.
“I heard… well, I thought I heard… There was this voice.” Andrea tried saying.
“What did it say?” Sam was questioning her but you were looking at Lucas. Poor kid.
“It said ‘come play with me’,” She shuddered. “What’s happening?” You looked over at Dean when he set a yearbook down in front of her. You walked over to him and stared at the pictures that littered the page.
“Do you recognize the kids in these pictures?” Dean asked Andrea.
“What? Um, um, no. I mean, except that's my dad right there. He must have been about twelve in these pictures.”
“Chris Barr's drowning. The connection wasn't to Bill Carlton. It must have been to the sheriff.” Dean wondered out loud.
“Bill and the sheriff—they were both involved with Peter.” Sam finished Dean’s thought.
“What about Chris? My dad—what are you talking about?” Andrea asked, confused. You were about to explain it to her when Lucas caught your attention. He was staring out of the window, into the woods.
“Lucas? What is it?” You asked. Lucas didn’t answer but opened the door and began to walk outside. You looked at Andrea and followed Lucas, everyone mimicking your actions. Lucas walked a little bit more and then stopped, looking at you.
“You and Lucas get back to the house and stay there, okay?” Dean ordered. Andrea pulled Lucas with her, going back to her house. It was good that she listened to him.
“Why did he lead us here?” You wondered. You saw a stone and began kicking it through the dirt when your foot scraped some dirt and you saw a bit of red peeking out.
“Boys, get the shovels.” You looked at them and they nodded, leaving to get shovels from the Impala. When they got back, you grabbed one and started digging where you saw red. Soon, the shovel hit something and you used the tip of your shovel to pry whatever was there up.
“Peter’s bike.” Sam said, looking at the red bike from the drawings.
“Who are you?” you whipped around to see the Sheriff pointing a gun at you.
“Put the gun down, Jake.” You warned, getting closer to Dean’s side.
“How do you know that was there?” Jake growled. He was hiding something.
“What happened? You and Bill killed Peter, drowned him in the lake and then buried the bike? You can't bury the truth, Jake. Nothing stays buried.” You looked at Dean. Why provoke the man with the gun?
“I don't know what the hell you're talking about.” You saw his lip quiver.
“You and Bill killed Peter Sweeney thirty-five years ago. That's what the hell I'm talking about.” Dean glared.
“Dad!” You heard Andrea say, running over to the group.
“And now you got one seriously pissed-off spirit.” Dean nodded.
“It's going to take Andrea, Lucas, everyone you love. It's going to drown them. And it's going to drag their bodies God knows where, so you can feel the same pain Peter's mom felt. And then, after that, it's going to take you, and it's not going to stop until it does.” Sam spoke up.
“Yeah, how do you know that?” Jake looked at you in the eyes.
“Because that’s exactly what it did to Bill.” You pointed out.
“Listen to yourselves, all three of you. You’re insane.” Said the guy with the gun.
“I don't really give a rat's ass what you think of us. But if we're going to bring down this spirit, we need to find the remains, salt them, and burn them into dust. Now tell me you buried Peter somewhere. Tell me you didn't just let him go in the lake.” Dean asked.
“Dad, is this true?” Andrea asked in a gentle yet hurt voice.
“No, don’t listen to them. They’re liars and they’re dangerous.”
“Something tried to drown me. Chris died on that lake. Look at me!” She demanded. Jake looked at his daughter with guilt all over his face. “Tell me you didn’t kill anyone.” When Jake looked away, she got her answer.
“Billy and I were at the lake. Peter was the smallest one. We always bullied him, but this time, it got rough. We were holding his head under the water’ we didn't mean to. But we held him under too long and he drowned. We let the body go, and it sank.
“Oh, Andrea, we were kids. We were so scared. It was a mistake. But, Andrea, to say that I have anything to do with these drownings, with Chris, because of some ghost? It's not rational.” He looked at his daughter, lowering the gun. Jake looked beyond and his eyes widened.
“Lucas!!!” He yelled. All four of you took off running to the lake, seeing Lucas getting closer and closer to the water. Andrea wasn’t that fast but you were.
“Lucas! Baby, stay where you are!!” She yelled to her son. You watched in horror as a hand reached up and grabbed Lucas, pulling him in. You wouldn’t stop running and you, Sam, and Dean dove into the water, trying to find her son. You didn’t care if the ghost took you at this point. All that mattered was her son.
You couldn’t find him and you came up for air, the carbon dioxide in your lungs begging to be released. You saw Sam and Dean come up, looking around.
“Dean?” You asked. He shook his head and Sam sighed.
“Peter, if you can hear me... please, Peter, I'm sorry. I'm so—I'm so sorry.” Jake said, distraught. He was walking into the water, knowing this was the end of his life.
“Daddy, no!” Andrea pleaded.
“Peter. Lucas—he's, he's just a little boy. Please, it's not his fault, it's mine. Please take me.” Jake bargained. You watched as Peter made an appearance and looked at Jake. Suddenly, Jake was being dragged down, underneath the water. You had to find this boy. You dove underneath the water with Sam and Dean, looking for the boy. It took a few minutes but you grabbed into Lucas’s body and reached the surface, gasping for breath.
Lucas wasn’t moving but he was breathing and that was all that mattered. Lucas was safe.
It bugged you, knowing that you didn’t save everyone. You hated leaving, knowing that there were people who still died.
“Look, we're not going to save everybody.” Sam said to you.
“I know.” You sighed, tossing your duffel bag into the backseat.
“Sam, Dean, Y/N.” you heard a female voice say. You looked up to see Andrea walking with her son. You smiled, seeing how Lucas was okay. “We're glad we caught you. We just, um, we made you lunch for the road.”
“Can I give it to them now?” Lucas said, carrying the try.
“Of course.” Andrea leaned down and kissed her son’s head.
“Come on, Lucas, let’s load the car.” You looked at him and he smiled, following you to the car. You took the tray and placed it on the seat, looking at him.
“Alright, if you’re going to be talking now, listen up. Bottling it in doesn’t help. You may not want to talk about what happened, and that’s okay, but eventually you will. Talk to your mom, tell a friend, tell a teacher but don’t keep it in. I learned the hard way.” You sighed a bit.
“I’m sorry about your mom.” He said softly.
“And I’m sorry about you dad,” You gave him a small smile. Andrea walked over and Lucas walked to her, taking her hand.  You looked at him and winked. “You take care of your mom, okay?”
“Okay.” Lucas smiled. Andrea walked to you and hugged you tightly.
“Thank you, for saving my son and me.” You hugged her back and nodded.
“I know what it’s like growing up without a mom. It’s not fun.” You pulled away and gave her a small smile. You heard the car doors close and you figured Sam and Dean were inside.
“Take care.” You got inside the car and Dean took off. You looked down at your hands when you saw something green. You grinned, taking out the tiny, smashed up toy soldiers. You tapped Sam’s shoulder and when he turned his head, you held up the soldiers, giving him a wink. He grinned and chuckled, turning back around.
Yeah, you lost people along the way but the important thing to remember is that you do what you can because in the end, it makes it all worth it.

"JERICHO" RETROSPECT: (1.08) "Rogue River"
Tumblr media
"JERICHO" Retrospect: (1.08) "Rogue River" Once in a while, a television series would air an episode that proved to have a wide effect upon its remaining storylines. This certainly seemed to be the case for (1.08) "Rogue River", the Season One episode of the CBS post-apocalypse television series, "JERICHO".
"Rogue River" was not the first episode to have a major impact upon the storylines for "JERICHO". The series' first episode, (1.01) "Pilot: The First Seventeen Hours" obviously had an even bigger impact, considering it featured the explosion of a nuclear bomb in nearby Denver and other cities across the county - an event that initiated the series' premise. "Rogue River", on the other hand, could have easily been a solitary episode in which the main premise - acquiring needed medication for gravely ill mayor of Jericho - could have been resolved by the end. Instead, the series' producers and screenwriters Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia used a minor incident from the episode to echo throughout the remaining Season 1 and most of Season 2. The end of previous episode, (1.07) "Long Live the Mayor", left off with Mayor Johnston Green's collapse, thanks to an infection that had turned deadly due to the lack of proper medication. His daughter-in-law, Dr. April Green, reveals that the mayor needs a more specialized antibiotic - Cipro - to overcome his infection. Since the medical clinic in Jericho is dangerously depleted of needed drugs, the mayor's sons Jake and Eric Green (April's husband) need to travel to the nearby town of Rogue River and acquire Cipro from that town's larger hospital. "Rogue River" opened with Jake and Eric driving across the Kansas countryside toward Rogue River in the former's muscle car. The pair spot a woman's body sprawled across the side of the road. Eric wants to check on the woman's condition, but Jake insists upon continuing their journey. He had spotted a second set of tire marks and concluded that the woman had been ambushed and murdered for her money and any supplies. Upon their arrival in Rogue River, the two brothers notice that the entire town had been abandoned. And when they reach the town's hospital, they are fired upon by someone inside. Jake and Eric discover a wounded mercenary from the Ravenwood private security firm named Randy Payton and a doctor named Kenchy Dhuwalia. The two strangers reveal that Ravenwood troops were sent to Rogue River to assist FEMA in evacuating the town's citizens. The difficulty in evacuating the hospital led one Ravenwood to snap and start shooting some of the patients. His actions led to an all out massacre of many other patients. Before the Green brothers can get their hands on the medicine they need, a large group of Ravenwood gunmen led by a man named Goetz arrive to confiscate the hospital's remaining supplies. The episode featured two subplots. One of them centered around the efforts of the Green women, Emily Sullivan and Heather Linsinski to keep the ailing Johnston alive long enough to receive the Cipron. Their efforts led Heather, a science teacher, to create enough ice from chemicals to keep the fever down in Johnston's body. In "Long Live the Mayor", businessman Gray Anderson had questioned Eric about the town's newcomers. He made good on his threat to learn more about them, when he and new sheriff Jimmy Taylor appear at the Hawkins home to question Rob and his family about their decision to move to Jericho. Earlier, I had pointed out how some of the plot elements in "Rogue River" end up having a major effect on some of the series' future plotlines. This was especially apparent in Jake and Eric's confrontation with the Ravenwood gunmen and their leader, Goetz. And this is one reason why I view "Rogue River" as one of the series' finest episodes. But it occurred to me that even if the episode had merely been a stand alone, my opinion of it would have remained. "Rogue River" is truly a first-rate episode. Although previous episodes like "Long Live the Mayor" and (1.04) "Four Horsemen" hinted the devastating effects of the nuclear bombs that struck the country, "Rogue River" revealed the full force of those effects with scenes that featured the Green brothers' encounter with a dead woman at the side of the road, and their experiences in Rogue River. Thanks to Federman and Scaia's screenplay, along with Guy Bee's direction, "Rogue River" was filled with enough danger and tension to keep any viewer on his or her toes. But the Rogue River trip was not the only plot that impressed me. I was also impressed by the storyline that featured Gray Anderson and Jimmy Taylor's interrogation of Robert Hawkins and his family. The interesting thing about this particular subplot is that Gray Anderson, who had no experience as a law officer or politician, seemed smart enough to use interrogation tactics that someone with that particular background would normally use. Gray was no dummy. Unfortunately, he had more than met his match in the mysterious Robert Hawkins and surprisingly, the latter's very intelligent daughter, Allison. Between the two of them, they played Jimmy and especially Gray, like a fiddler. But as the episode proved, playing Gray did not prove to be an easy task. And I must say that for a subplot that featured no epic scenes or action, it was filled with a great deal of tension, drama and a little comedy as well. Very satisfying. The subplot featuring the effort to keep Johnston Green alive before Jake and Eric's return proved to be solid, but not particularly mind blowing. Well, I did learn one thing from this storyline. Heather Lisinski is a warm, vibrant and intelligent woman . . . who also seemed to possess nerves of Jello. It amazed me at how easily she nearly fell apart in her efforts to create ice to cool down Johnston. It was a good thing that Emily Sullivan managed to put her back on track. And if one might think I am exaggerating about Heather's tendency to lose her cool, she did it again in Season Two. I could pinpoint the performances that impressed me. But I must be honest, all of the cast members featured in this particular episode did. Skeet Ulrich and Kenneth Mitchell proved they had superb chemistry portraying the two brothers, Jake and Eric Green. I was especially impressed by their scene in which Jake's past and Eric's affair with tavern owner Mary Bailey were discussed. Lennie James continued his superb portrayal of the always fascinating intelligence agent, Robert Hawkins. Michael Gaston also impressed me with his portrayal of Gray Anderson's paranoia. But I was really impressed by Jazz Raycole's spot-on performance as Robert's equally intelligent daughter, Allison. Darby Stanchfield gave a poignant performance in a scene in which her character, April Green, reveal to the unconscious Johnston that she was pregnant. The episode also featured outstanding performances from the three guest stars. Theo Rossi gave an appropriate performance as the frantic and remorseful Ravenwood soldier, Randy Payton. Aasif Mandvi gave the first of several outstanding performances as the talented, but alcoholic surgeon, Dr. Kenchy Duwhalia. And D.B. Sweeney proved he could a subtle, yet menacing villain as the leader of the Ravenwood gunmen, Goetz. In fact, Sweeney would eventually return and solidify his position as one of the best villains I have seen on television, hands down. What can I say about "Rogue River"? Unless I am mistaken, it is considered to be one of the best episodes that aired on "JERICHO". The episode literally vibrated with suspense and tension in two story lines that featured the Green brothers' trip to the nearby Rogue River and Gray Anderson's interrogation of the Hawkins family, thanks to director Guy Bee. The entire episode was well written by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia, and featured outstanding performances led by Skeet Ulrich, Kenneth Mitchell and Lennie James. If "Rogue River" is not that highly regarded, then I believe it should be.

I've just recently in the past few years gotten more into musical theater, so I have a lot to learn. I'm not a singer or anything, but I like to watch and listen. Also, I have to randomly ask something. Why the heck did " Glee" have Brian Stokes Mitchell on the show and not let him sing more? What a waste. Ha ha. What are some really underrated musicals?
That’s awesome! Nah man, you don’t have to be a singer to get into/like musical theater! We actually need more people to appreciate musical theater who don’t participate, honestly. Same with opera, but that’s another story I know no one here wants to get into lol.
Who knows, man? I mean, they had Victor Garber on and didn’t have him sing and fucking Cheyenne Jackson!!!! Even The Real O’Neals had Cheyenne sing!!!! And he was on one ep of that unlike being in several episodes like he was for glee.
Okay, so as I said, I’m a bit of an MT hipster. So I like a lot of weird shit lol. A not very detailed list is below, with some notes by yours truly lol. Sorry that this got so long omfg
Bat Boy - based on the Daily News articles, this chronichles the story of a bat boy found in a cave in West Virginia. He’s taken to the local vet, and while everyone in town just wants the doctor to kill him, the vet’s wife wants to take care of the teen, who she names Edgar, and teach him how to behave. The doctor kind of goes crazy and their daughter, Shelly, falls for Edgar. A lot of the parts in the show outside of the family are double casted, and it’s honestly hilarious and also makes me cry by the end, poking a lot of fun at “Christian Charity” (that’s the name of one of the songs that also gets a reprise) and the like. It’s extra loved by me for featuring the impeccable Kerry Butler (the original Penny in Hairspray, female lead in Xanadu, Catch Me If You Can...the ageless girl wonder)Reefer Madness - the Off-Broadway production opened the weekend of 9/11, which definitely effected its possible success. It’s, of course, based off the ridiculous propaganda film of the same name, though it takes it a bit farther and pokes fun at all of it and even more of the racist/sexist attitudes of the 1930s. While all/most of the others I’m talking about here only have CDs and maybe some bootlegs, this one has a movie version!!!! That actually is almost 100% like the stage version (at least based on what I saw). The movie features Kristen Bell as Mary Lane, the part she originated, and also features Alan Cumming and the forever under-appreciated Ana Gasteyer and Amy Spanger. Side Show - you can debate which version is better, but whether you prefer the original cast or the 2014 revival that changed some of the story to make it more accurate, it’s absolutely amazing. A musical based (loosely) off the true story of the conjoined Hilton twins who made a career of their oddity by working in freak shows, vaudeville, and even a few movies, though they were all critically panned. Features some of the best duets for female voices (most famously “Who Will Love Me As I Am?” and “I Will Never Leave You”). The original has Alice Ripley as one of the twins (Violet, and while I still think she screams a lot, she does a great job), and Norm Lewis as Jake. If you ever want to cry, just listen to his big song “You Should Be Loved” or the above duets. Or just read about the Hilton’s lives because it’s so depressing and the musical doesn’t even touch on that. I’m forever sad this never gets awards or the long runs it deserves. It should also be noted that Alice and her fellow twin, Emily Skinner (Daisy Hilton), were nominated together for the Tony.[title of show] - okay, this show is just...fucking........hilarious. “It’s a musical about two guys writing a musical about two guys writing a musical...” Just a lot of silly fun and also some great quotes, like “I’d rather be nine people’s favorite thing than a hundred people’s ninth favorite thing.” It also points out a lot of flaws in Broadway, like the lack of original musicals and how there are waaaaaaaay too many musicals based off movies lol. It’s a four person cast, all of whom are named after the people who originated the roles, and it manages to be just so funny and still inspirational and such a joy to listen to.Zanna, Don’t! - okay. so I get why most “oppressed group written as oppressors” stories are awful, like that whole “save our pearls” book or w/e that happened a few years back. But Zanna, Don’t was written by a gay man who just wanted to write some musicals with fun, catchy love songs for gay couples. So, in this world, being gay is the norm and straight people are the hated group. Zanna is an actual fairy (in high school) who matches up everyone in his town and never actually remembers to pair himself up with anyone. So when a straight A student and the quarterback of the football team fall in love...well, it finds a way to be cute, funny, and poignant all in one. Features Queer Eye “culture vulture” Jai Rodriguez in the title role and the show should get extra points for the line “what kind of world would this be if the football star wasn’t the lead in the musical??”In the Heights - not necessarily underrated so much as it’s just forgotten in Hamilton’s success. This tells the day in the life of people in Washington Heights. It also features a completely diverse cast and, imo, has some catchy songs that outdo some of Hamilton. If you don’t bawl while singing along to “Breathe” while stressing about failing at college/your dreams, what do you even do with your spare time? That used to be my most common activity. The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown - Idk if I can truly say it’s underrated since it really hasn’t been on Broadway so it’s never had a chance to get known...plus I think it’s popular among actual theater performers, but not enough of musical fans know about this. A lot of theater kids probably know “Freedom” and “Run Away With Me”, as the duet is a great choice for two women and shows a ton of depth/vocal prowess, while the solo can show a very tender male voice, but the show is more than those songs or “The Proposal” or “The Girl Who Drove Away”. The story starts with Sam sitting in her car. She’s supposed to be driving to college, but she’s fantasizing about driving away. She conjures up her best friend, Kelly, in her mind, and Kelly convinces her to relive her senior year and figure out why she wants to leave. You eventually find out Kelly died that year, and along the way you learn about Sam’s college applications, her boyfriend, and how lost she felt all year, all while still trying to learn how to drive. It’s so moving, and, honestly, “Freedom” is still a jam and probably does deserve to be one of the most famous songs from the show. The show might also inspire you to run away so...watch out for that. The bootleg I have is what inspire my love for Melissa, quite literally, since I had stopped watching g/lee at the time. The Boy from Oz - one of the better done jukebox musicals, since it focuses on the writer of those songs, and also is the best role Hugh Jackman will ever have. I’m sure a lot of people on my dash are familiar with Chris’ version of “Not the Boy Next Door” on g/lee. If you like it, you should check out Hugh performing that at the Tony’s. Anyways, it tells the life story of Peter Allen, whose songwriting credits include the above song, “I Honestly Love You”, and “Don’t Cry Out Loud”. He met Judy Garland and, of course, then met and married her daughter, Liza Minelli. I will never praise Stephanie J. Block’s Liza enough, she is perf. And, again, Hugh is flawless, and he originated the part both in Australia (Peter Allen’s home country) and then on Broadway. Getting to see the original cast in this was one of the highlights of my life.
That’s it for now. I’d also suggest checking out some classics. I didn’t put it on the list since it’s not underrated, but the original cast of Sweeney Todd is the best thing you could ever listen to - Victor Garber in his prime and Angela Landsbury is the forever best interpretation of Mrs. Lovett, #notsorry Patti. The movie version directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp is truly a disgrace compared to the actual version which has a legal taped version available for your viewing pleasure! You can see why it’s performed in opera houses nowadays!!! Though the video sadly doesn’t  have the original Anthony (Victor Garber) and the Johanna is bad...not that I’ve heard a Johanna I truly like. Rodgers and Hammerstein should at least be somewhat known, though a lot of their stories are like...gross. But Sondheim is pretty damn solid -- and if you didn’t know, he wrote the lyrics for Gypsy and West Side Story. A lot of people seem to not know that, but like he was making some big strides long before Company was a hit. Which also deserves a listen

THE VIOLENT ACT EXCEPTION
How has the law been developing on the “violent act” exception to California Labor Code 4660.1(c)(1)?
That’s an issue I had occasion to look at recently as I prepared for a presentation on a panel with defense attorney Jake Jacobsmeyer at the yearly Montarbo Seminar in Sacramento. We spoke at the invitation of Red Bluff based defense attorney Rich Montarbo, whose office sponsors the conference.
Labor Code 4660.1(c)(1) is the section of the 2012 comp reforms which for post 1/1/2013 dates of injury prohibits increased PD ratings for sleep dysfunction, sexual dysfunction or psychiatric disorder arising out of compensable physical injury. The section does not apply to “direct injuries” (as opposed to compensable consequence injury) and does not prohibit PD awards in so called mental-mental injuries. Moreover, the section does not prohibit awards of medical treatment or temporary disability for compensable consequence psyche, sleep or sexual dysfunction injuries.
What LC 4660.1(c)(1) does do, however, is prevent impairment “add-ons” for post 1/1/13 claims. Sleep and sexual dysfunction “add-ons” are not to be rated, though it should be noted that if the sexual impairment is directly caused by the injury, it may be rated under the AMA Guides. That was the situation in Montenegro (see City of Los Angeles v. WCAB) (2016) 81 CCC 611 (prostate surgery for industrial cancer was directly caused by the industrial injury  and thus PD for sexual dysfunction was covered).
Labor Code 4660.1(c)(1) has exceptions, however. One is the “catastrophic  injury” exception which has really yet to be definitively defined by the WCAB and the courts. There is at least one case I’m aware of that is going up on reconsideration regarding that issue (Maria Martinez v. Vasona Creek Healthcare Center; ADJ9343255) but there is no ruling yet from the WCAB, let alone the Court of Appeal.
A body of law has developed around the other exception, however. That is the “violent act” provision of LC 4660.1(c)(2). That section allows a psychiatric impairment rating for psychiatric compensable consequences (but not for sleep and sex) where the worker was “a victim of a violent act” or had “direct exposure to a significant violent act within the meaning of 3208.3”.
What could best be termed the “leading case” so far is a 2016 WCAB panel decision, Deborah Larsen v. Securitas (81 CCC 770) (Commissioners Newman, Sweeney & Lowe). In Larsen the worker was doing security rounds in a parking lot when she was hit from behind by a car, knocking her to the ground and causing a loss of consciousness. As a result, there were nightmares, a cognitive disorder and a reactive depression.
In Larsen the WCAB panel defines “violent” by using the Black’s Law Dictionary definition:
“1. Of, relating to, or characterized by strong physical force, 2. Resulting from extreme or intense force , 3. Vehemently or passionately threatening .”
Using that definition, the WCAB found that the circumstances qualified as a  “violent act”  for purposes of the LC 4660.1(c)(2) exception. In doing so they rejected the argument that a  victim of a “violent act” must be a victim of a criminal or quasi-criminal act, noting that there are a number of other sections under the California Education Code and California Government Code that use the term acts “perpetrated” on a victim but LC 4660.1(c) does not use such terminology.
Other cases have followed the logic and result in Larsen. They include the following:
•Torres v. Greenbrae (2017 Cal.Wrk.Comp. P.D. LEXIS 230) (tree trimmer was suspended from rope with harness when branch gave way, causing him to fall and hit head and body against tree multiple times as he fell). In Torres there was indication that the psyche disability might be caused directly by events of employment or as a consequence of the physical injury, or as a combination of the two. But in any event, the violent act exception applied.
•Russell Madson V. Michael J. Cavaletto Ranches (2017 Cal.Wrk.Comp.P.D.LEXIS 95) (driver was hauling lemons; truck overturned, pinning him aside down, requiring jaws of life to extricate him)
•Allen v. Carmax (2017 Cal.Wrk. Comp.P.D. LEXIS 303) (Commissioners Razo, Brass, Zalewski) (worker was test driving a reconditioned used-car in Los Angeles when brakes failed, causing him to jump curb and crash into freeway support column; physical injuries caused need for knee surgeries and possible spinal surgery). In this case the WCAB applied the violent act exception despite defendant’s argument that car accidents are so common that they were not intended to come within the exception. The panel also rejected the argument that the injury must stem from a criminal or quasi-criminal act.
•Lopez V. General Wax (2017 Cal.Wrk.Comp.P.D.LEXIS 291) (Commissioners Newman, Brass & Razo) (worker’s index finger was amputated in machine; worker had PTSD and depressive disorder). The panel could not determine whether the psyche impairment was the direct result of injury or a compensable consequence, but it did not matter because it came within the violent act exception.
•Guerrero v. Ramcast (2017 Cal.Wrk.Comp. P.D. LEXIS 285) (Commissioners Sweeney, Razo and Lowe) (mechanic lost balance, hit foot controls and thereby caught hand in punch press, amputating several fingers). Defendant argued that only “sudden and extraordinary” events qualify and that the events themselves were not “abnormal force” but just from the ordinary operation of the punch press. Nevertheless, the WCJ and WCAB found the injury came within the violent act exception to LC 4660.1(c)(1).
An example of what was held to miss the “violent act” standard is Zarifi v. Group 1 Automotive (2018 Cal. Wrk.Comp.P.D.LEXIS 300). In Zarifi the worker accidentally walked into a glass wall but did not break the glass, had no loss of consciousness and no bleeding. The commissioners agreed with the WCJ that this was not a “violent act”.
With these cases the WCAB has given litigants a pretty good roadmap as to the kinds of situations that will come within the “violent act” exception. As Jake Jacobsmeyer noted at the Montarbo Seminar, however, there is no appellate court determination on the standard so far, so caution is indicated.
And some 7 years after the enactment of SB 863 we still have no answer on what constitutes a “catastrophic injury”, the other exception to LC 4660.1(c)(1).
Stay tuned.

Using that definition, the WCAB found that the circumstances qualified as a  “violent act”  for purposes of the LC 4660.1(c)(2) exception.
