Another thing I'll always love Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for is how they expand the roles of minor characters

Think Gideon Malick. You ask most Marvel fans who the hell he is and they'll probably say they don't know. You ask them if they remember the guy from the first Avengers film who sent a nuke at New York, and they'll be like "oh! That bitch!"

Malick is a character everyone knows but they don't know his name, the guy the fandom pokes fun at (for good reason), and yet this guy who was so willing to blow up millions of people is never expanded upon in the movies

But AoS does. They take this minor character and create a story for him. A story that not only fits perfectly with what he wanted to do in "Avengers", but also fits with the lore they've created. It all works so so well

They do this with their own characters, too. Piper and Davis were mere background characters in s3 with a line or two, but by s6, you have an absolutely gut wrenching scene where (SPOILERS) Piper is forced to watch as Izel kills Davis

The writers are just so smart with all of this. They know how to take existing characters and expand their roles in the show (Marvel Disney+ shows could NEVER) as well as make original ones who start out small and make them into a big deal by the end

i loved how we saw just how high daisy & jemma were, and then jemma says davis had like 7 puffies, and it cuts to davis & he is tripping way worse. that was just so funny to me.

I want Sam Reich and two regular Game Changer players (definitely Brennan, and the other would probably be Zac or maybe Grant) to be on After Midnight

And I want Taylor Tomlinson and two of her regulars (not sure who, but probably at least Marcella Arguello? Maybe James Davis?) to be on Game Changer.

J. Davis/S. Duncan had some fair chances in the second set, but D. Cukierman/P. Matuszewski steadily shifted the moment in their favor thanks to their balanced strikes. As both pairs tried to go after each other's net games, sometimes the baseline was needed for them to set up the play, where the second seeds often took advantage from before the final shots. As a result, even though the British pair converted 100% of their break points, the second seeds created 7 break points along the way.

Somehow, both pairs also had distinct service game strengths in this match. Even though the British pair scored 2 aces, D. Cukierman/P. Matuszewski had an exceptional first serve winning percentage with 81%, 20% more than the former, which helped them navigating some troubles. However, the second seeds double-faulted four times, which faded their second serve winning percentage 9% below J. Davis/S. Duncan's 51% points won from their second serves.

In the ongoing quarterfinals match, D. Cukierman/P. Matuszewski faces Adrian Andreev/Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo, the former who D. Cukierman will also face in the singles quarterfinals. While this was expected to be a competitive match, chaos once again occurred, but the more consistent one would prevail at the end. Should be another interesting follow!
