I think no one in the Agency is really that big on movies except Jun’ichirō and by extension Naomi. And by big on movies, I mean like BIG on movies. Like, knowing-the-directors-actors-and-elements-of-every-movie-ever-by-heart big on movies.

Cuz to me, the moment Jun’i developed his ability his first thought was: “OMG JUST LIKE THE MATRIX”

Now, Dazai and Yosano have seen their fair share (as in, whatever’s in theaters that sounds interesting) and Kyōka probably watched movies with her parents, but the other members?

Kunikida has never watched a movie in his life(/hj), Kenji doesn’t watch movies period, Ranpo doesn’t find a lot of them particularly interesting, and Atsushi probably grew up with zero TV access.

Fukuzawa is a maybe watches movies for time to time, but he strikes me more as a theater/opera guy.

So anyway, I imagine one day Atsushi and Jun’i are on an assassination case that takes a seemingly supernatural turn and Jun’i is like “omg this is just like men in black lol”

And obviously Atsushi was like “…what’s men in black” and Jun’i is like “oh it’s this american movie where yadda yadda yadda” and he gets why Atsushi didn’t know it cuz it’s foreign and Atsushi never watched movies anyway (he gets a best friend pass) and the rest of the case he talked to him abt movies

By the time he gets to the Agency he’s still talking (I think he’d be really into action, drama, and romance movies) and anyway Kunikida overhears and is like

“What are you two talking about?”

“Oh, I’m telling Atsushi abt Star Wars!”

“..What’s Star Wars?”

“YOU DONT KNOW STAR WARS?!”

And of course Kunikida doesn’t know Star Wars (despite its extreme popularity in Japan back in the day) cuz he’s Kunikida, but when Jun’i consults the rest of the Agency, half of them hadn’t even HEARD of it (admirable feat) and you could hear his heart shatter in real time. Then he starts interrogating everyone about ever film he can come up with and eventually Naomi joins in and they’re like

Naomi: “You’ve never seen Shall We Dance?!”

Jun’i: “What about Dead or Alive?! From 1999?!”

Dazai: “We’re you two even alive in 1999..?“

Kunikida: “Of course they were, idiot, they’re not babies!”

Naomi: “Dr. Yosano, what about Perfect Blue?”

Jun’i: “Please tell me you guys have at least heard of the Godzilla series?!”

Naomi: “Silence of the Lambs? The Ring??”

I've been searching for a game but I can't remember the name. Someone know about a game where we play as this character that seems to have been ab*rted and finds their other siblings who don't have some body parts? The game japanese and kinda old, I think for PC, the characters look quite feminine with long black hair in side ponytails, I think it was mostly in black, white and red colors, also very bloody.

Does this sounds familiar to anyone?

Masumi: …

Tsumugi: Masumi-kun’s eyes are glued to the screen.

Tsuzuru: He didn’t seem interested at all until the segment just now.

TV: “Share some new chestnut sweets and get close quickly!”

Juza: Those desserts look tasty. I wanna try ‘em…

Kumon: Let’s write down the location and go buy some next time!

Kazunari: Ah. Massu, just the guy I'm looking for!

Masumi: …What?

Kazunari: So like, remember the western-style house we were talking about the other day?

Masumi: Yeah, I remember.

Tsuzuru: A western-style house?

Tsumugi: It’s a bit far from here, but there’s an old western-style house in Veludo City and it’s been undergoing renovation work for a little while.

Tsuzuru: I see. There was that kind of building, huh? Did you know about it, Juza?

Juza: No, I had no clue.

Kumon: Ah, I think I heard about that at school! I swear my friends mentioned it was a date spot or something…

Kazunari: Yep, that’s the one! I actually found out what they’re turning it into! I promised I’d let you know once I got the deets, so I wanted to tell you first…

Masumi: Tell me right now.

Kazunari: Woah. A little close, buddy! Calm down, I'll spill! So you see, they’re going to re-open that western-style house… As a horror house!

Juza: A horror house?

Kazunari: Well, I guess it’s like a western-style haunted house. Lookie here at the home page!

Kumon: You’re right! That’s awesome!

Kazunari: They have an inste account already. They’ve only uploaded pics of the exterior so far though.

Tsuzuru: It looks like a normal western-style mansion right now.

Tsumugi: A horror house made using a western-style house will be quite authentic.

Masumi: A horror house… It’s different from the date spot I was imagining…

Tsuzuru: Hey, there’s no reason to get depressed. Haunted houses have always been a classic date spot.

Tsumugi: That’s right. Plus it’s a western-style building. I think the atmosphere will be better than a Japanese-style haunted house.

Kazunari: Totally! They’re renovating it, so I’m sure they’re gonna make it all nice and pretty~!

Kumon: I’ve seen a story about a date at a horror house in a manga I borrowed from Muku! The girl got scared and hugged the boy who lead her coolly!

Juza: Really? Then I guess it counts as a legit date spot.

Masumi: A horror house is a date spot…

*door opens*

Izumi: I’m home.

Masumi: !

Tsumugi: Welcome home.

Kazunari: Director-chan, did you go to a meeting today?

Izumi: I did. It was a meeting for the next “VELUDO”.

Tsuzuru: What kind of special feature is coming up?

Izumi: Fufu, you see… it looks like it’s going to be a special feature on the new horror house that’s going to open in Veludo City!

All members: HUH!?

Kumon: Talk about timing!

Juza: Yeah.

Masumi: A horror house special feature…

-pause-

Masumi: …

Tsumugi: Oh, Masumi-kun?

Masumi: …Tsumugi.

Tsumugi: What a coincidence. Are you on your way home from university?

Masumi: I am. Are you shopping?

Tsumugi: Yes. I bought new seeds and tools to tend to the flower beds at the flower shop. Director also asked me to buy some ingredients she needed, so I went to the supermarket.

Masumi: She asked you? I wish she asked me too… *Sigh*. If that’s the case, I shouldn’t have talked to Madoka and just went home straight away…

Tsumugi: Ah, you were talking to Madoka at school? You two get along well.

Masumi: Not really. We just happened to bump into each other.

Student A:  Let’s go to the horror house once it opens!

Student B: Eh~? But the rumours say it’s super scary.

Tsumugi: I wonder if those students are talking about that western-style mansion…

Masumi: …I think they are.

Student C: I’m not good with scary stuff…

Student D: Kaname-chan’s so cute… You can go with me then. Horror stuff is no sweat to me. I’ll protect you.

Kaname: T-thanks, Minato-kun…

Tsumugi: The western-style horror house has become quite a hot topic among the students, hasn't it?

Masumi: I didn’t know it became this popular.

Tsumugi: I wonder if it’s trending on social media.

'Oppenheimer is the much anticipated new biographical film written, produced and directed by Christopher Nolan (Tenet, The Dark Knight, Dunkirk, Inception, Interstellar).

Based on the 2005 book American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J Sherwin, the film profiles J Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who helped develop the first nuclear bomb.

What is Oppenheimer about?

Oppenheimer concerns the life of Julius Robert Oppenheimer.

Born in New Jersey in 1904, Julius Robert Oppenheimer studied chemistry at Harvard University, physics at the University of Cambridge and University of Göttingen, where he received his PhD in 1927. He made significant contributions to theoretical physics, including in quantum mechanics and nuclear physics.

During the Second World War, he was recruited to lead the Manhattan Project, the team tasked with developing the atomic bomb for the US government. In 1945, the atomic bombs created under his leadership were used on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing around 200,000 people.

Throughout the development of the atomic bomb, Oppenheimer was under investigation by both the FBI and the Manhattan Project’s internal security arm for his past left-wing associations.

Oppenheimer later served as chairman of the US Atomic Energy Commission where he lobbied for control of nuclear power in a bid to avert a nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union. He opposed the development of the hydrogen bomb and went on to oppose defence-related issues that disgruntled some US governmental and military figures. This, combined with his associations with communism, led to him having his security clearance removed. He continued to write, lecture and work within physics until his death in 1967 at the age of 62.

As well as the moral and ethical battles Oppenheimer experiences, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer also focuses on his relationships with the women in his life.

Who stars in Oppenheimer?

Oppenheimer features an all-star cast, led by Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Inception and Dunkirk) as the title character.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Mr Murphy described the film as “an extraordinary piece of work. Very provocative and powerful. It feels sometimes like a biopic, sometimes like a thriller, sometimes like a horror.”

On the subject of Oppenheimer, he added: “He was dancing between the raindrops morally. He was complex, contradictory, polymathic; incredibly attractive intellectually and charismatic, but,” he decides, “ultimately unknowable.”

It seems now I'm too often here. xd. How about the Pet Shop of Horros! AU, where Kana buys a gift for Mayu from Count D ... Guess who? Right. Although I think that in this story Haa  would really be a dragon like the one that D sees in the tenth volume. Google told me that seahorses can be kept at home, but this is not an animal that can be chosen by chance, I mean, the person who is destined for such an animals should already deal with them. 

Of course, there are difficulties with geography, but.  This is AU. And then we have the Shin Pet Shop of Horrors, its events take place in Tokyo.

 I also think a lot about the part of Japanese beliefs (I read once), where dragons (Sea in particular) can take the form of a man, because it is indicated that they can have children with human women. This allows us to include in the plot a meeting in the past for Hatori and Kana. 

And then I laugh because I really can write fics (but, to be honest, I think up stories better and more often than write them down). I can do it. But in my native language, the fandom is almost dead ... well, basically it concerns fan fiction, I have not seen new stories in my language about ... Um, these are three pages on the resource, and even after the reboot’s start is released there is only one new one. In June. Therefore, I read ficks on Ao3 (People, I love you. And, God bless the translator for difficult cases). But I'm not sure about the use for writing.
