Guys, forget about Professor Hidgens in Workin Boys. Heck! Forget about Aladdin or Sweet Tooth. Even General MacNamara, he's just an effing eagle!
Jeff Blim peaked in hotness back in 2008 as Billy Idol 😂🤭😉

Y’all, correct me if I’m wrong, but with Nerdy Prudes Must Die, they’re are only 4 characters who have been in every Hatchetfield musical (if you don’t count Nightmare Time). They’re Paul Matthews, Emma Perkins, Peter Spankoffski, and Barry Swift, aka Man in a Hurry.
(Please let me know if I’m wrong about that tho)

NPMD Digital Ticket details!
Since not every can/can afford to/wants to buy the Digital Ticket for Nerdy Prudes Must Die (and the bonus material that comes with the purchase), for your inclusion purposes, here's a list of fun background details, funny moments and comments made in the track commentary, for you to use however you like!
Ruth doesn't actually need to wear her headgear anymore, but she wears it anyway because it makes her feel safe.
Jeff pitched a Nightmare Time episode about the problematic puppy from Steph's verse of High School Is Killing Me, meaning there is a story there.
In the line, "I learned that at the anti bullying assembly last month, fucknugget!" there's a long pause before "Fucknugget!" which really makes it sound like Max forgot to insult Richie and just threw the word out.
All of the little noises Ruth makes, she makes because she has more she wants to say, but she can't say them (presumably due to anxiety).
In the proshot, you can't see fully how low Richie goes while he and Ruth sneak up on Peter, but Jon is fully crouched down. He then uses Pete's pockets and elbows to climb up like he's climbing a mountain (he mimes using a pick or axe to get good hold).
While Steph is talking, Ruth and Richie try their best to hear through the phone by getting as close as they can to it.
The reason Max and Jason were in the Pasqualli's parking lot is that they were practicing their skateboarding. They do that at Pasqualli's instead of at school/at a skatepark because they don't want the smoke club and skater kids to make them look like noobs. (This was a cut bit from the Pasqualli's scene).
The line, "Some big... dumb... sexy... football star" is expanded. In the Digital Ticket, Grace says, "Some big... dumb... sexy... sweaty... hot... well-spoken... beautifully tall football star."
When they're in the boys bathroom, Steph jumps to see over the stalls.
Richie Naruto runs when they're going to Waylon Hall. Pete slaps his hands down, but after they pause to look at the house, Richie looks over his shoulders at Pete a couple of times before darting away from him, once again Naruto running.
Richie stops in the door at the Waylon Place, so Pete pushes him inside.
Ruth and Richie speak at the same time when they say, "I'm allergic to deodorant" and "I have overactive sweat glands."
Ruth goes straight to Richie to complain after the "pus in my pits" exchange with Steph.
When Steph suggests saying there's a party at the Waylon Place, Pete, Ruth and Richie all react negatively (mostly nervously groaning).
While Grace sings the "He's just a nerd in disguise!" line, Richie can be seen practicing the first move of the Bully the Bully dance.
After Ruth says, "We're gonna cut off his nips!" you can see Steph look confused and ask, "What?"
While Pete and Richie talk in the Waylon Place ("Am I reading as ghost or Lin Manuel Miranda" & "She came all the way out here just for you."), Ruth and Steph discuss and practice Ruth's skeleton moves.
Richie gets stuck in the dangling parts of Pete's costume when he says, "You could just hit it and quit it, bro!" He then aggressively detangles himself.
The line "He's just really fucking brave!" comes from Richie being jealous that he's not that brave.
Richie hypes Ruth up a bit after Max says her skeleton bit was really special.
Grace hides behind Ruth while Max is dying.
Richie rolls his eyes when Grace says "It was an act of god!" (Similarly, Shapiro sighs and looks away in disbelief when Grace later says "It was god's plan!")
Pete gags when Grace says "Hack all his limbs off." Richie can also be seen gagging and holding his stomach several times.
Ruth hands Max's nipples over to Grace after cutting them off.
Jeff Blim is the principal of Hatchetfield High. Not a character of Jeff's, just Jeff himself.
Brenda still seems quite judgmental after the two weeks have passed. She makes a lot of not-quite-friendly faces when the football team's talking about Richie smelling bad.
When Richie struggles to remove the Zeke the Fightin' Nighthawk costume, he accidentally removes his jacket as well, leading to Jon having to put it back on (which he also struggles with) (and which creates a funny situation, since Richie was supposed to go shower).
Richie seems to have hurt his leg by the second fall in Nerdy Prudes Must Die (the song).
After Steph tells Grace to "Leave Ruth alone!" in the principal's office, Ruth tries to grab Steph's hand.
The wig Joey wears when he plays Dan Reynolds isn't Dan's real hair. Dan Reynolds wears a toupée.
Trevor and Angela's drama student encourage each other after they finish rehearsing.
Additional line when Grace is lying to Shapiro: "Suddenly, I remembered a crucial detail that made everything make sense. A picture came flashing into my mind, like I was Enola Holmes!"
"My dad sells women shoe! Shoes!"
Angela misses the chair at Beanie's and falls on her ass, leading to her, Joey and Mariah (mostly Mariah) breaking character.
During The Summoning, Tinky focuses ONLY on Pete. The entire time, he looks like he's restricting himself from lunging out and attacking him. At one point, he points at the Bastard's Box while staring at Pete.
90% of the time during The Summoning, Pokey's staring at his own mask.
Steph facepalms after Max says "That's nasty! ... I like it!"

Thinking about how Matt Lang mentioned rerunning TGWDLM.
Obviously, there'd have to be changes. Not just in the casting, but in every aspect of the show just due to the nature of how Hatchetfield has expanded and how TGWDLM has aged.
Now that we know for sure that the events in TGWDLM happened because of Pokey, I think they'd design the show even more around the colour blue instead of green like in the original promotional material. This also gives Matt Dahan so much more to work with when it comes to underscoring, think of all the motifs he has to sneak into the scenes now.
Hidgens would have to be recasted, and while there's plenty of options, I think after Workin' Boys he has to be played by Jeff Blim. I don't know if anyone can ever top what Jeff did in WB. Of course, that would mean that Jeff's original TGWDLM characters would need to be recasted as well. Mr. Davidson has not been seen in HF since TGWDLM (save for the small BF cameo), so it wouldn't be hard to find someone new for that role. Sam Sweetly is more difficult because of his appearances in Nightmare Time and the pre-recorded NPMD cameo, but it's impossible to have Jeff play both Hidgens and Sam in the same scene so he would still most likely be recasted.
The only Jeff character that would need to stay the same is General John Macnamara, that's another permanently Jeff character, in my opinion. The show would require some rearranging so that the Macnamara and Hidgens scenes weren't back to back this way. Between TGWDLM and BF, Macnamara went through a lot of character development and Jeff really discovered who he was by the second show, so it would be super interesting to see him interacting with Paul again now that we've learned so much more about the guy.
Now that Hatchetfield has expanded so much, I think it would be really fun to bring in new characters that we've met since TGWDLM happened. They should include Curt Mega as Officer Bailey in Show Me Your Hands, since we know he canonically works alongside Sweetly. Bring in James Tolbert during the PEIP scene as Xander Lee. Even just the people on the streets in La Dee Dah Dah Day, imagine the amount of cameos that could come into play there. Kim Whalen dances in as Becky Barnes, Angela Giarratana is Grace Chasity, all these well-known characters that we never saw during TGWDLM before making small appearances as they were already infected by the hive mind.
Speaking of the La Dee Dah Dah Day number, it would be fucking awesome to get Joey Richter back in the Pete Spankoffski costume for the coffee shop scene to do the hot chocolate boy bit.
I also just think a new perspective on the show will change so much of the context. Like Emma discussing Jane, we now know Jane's family with Tom and Tim. We're now very familiar with Ted's little brother, a character we had no idea existed during TGWDLM (think about Ted's little freak out over Alice being dead at Hatchetfield High...). We had no idea that this apocalypse was brought on by one of the Lords in Black.
Anyways. I agree with Matt, they should definitely bring The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals back for another run of the show.

guys, i saw cinderella’s castle live (i would like to thank the stars for aligning) and my spoiler free review is that
- jeff still knows how to write songs about girlhood
- crumb and sir hop a lot are the sweetest lil guys (i expected them to be in it A LOT more)
- ella/bryce consistently serves cvnt, there’s nothing more for me to tell you
- lauren and mariah DELIVERED, i truly think they were just playing themselves (also, dare i say, the return of bugette?)
- angela changed the way i say “ella”
- BRO THE PUPPETS?????????????? the puppets.
- wherever you think the plot is going, you’re wrong
- you might laugh at james tolbert, you might end up hating him after this, i certainly felt both (james tolbert, or any starkid, if you see this you’re an incredible actor and ur character disgusted me to the point of dry heaving, well done)
- the music is giving if a cis man tried to write chappell roan songs, and that is neither here nor there (jeff blim ily this is not a hate comment)
- the way…the audience…was waiting for sir hop a lot and crumb…will DEFINITELY be a highlight of the recording
- as always, lauren devoured the choreography. she is so smart about how she choreographs. it’s one thing to write a returning motif into a score, it’s another talent entirely to place a returning motif into THE DANCE NUMBERS
- kim whalen is kim whalen, what more do you want or expect me to say
- the set was pretty simple, under the circumstances, but the drops, the lights and false pro were STUNNING
- y’all aren’t ready for ella’s ball gown, seriously
- curt, your fight choreography was hilarious and very well done, you stunner. curt is also just as funny as james’ character, but in a different way…if u get me (i was hoping tadius was in it more!)
- for all of my jeff blim girls, gays and theys…he…there’s something about him in this show and idk what it is, but he’s a fuckin rizzler?? like it’s disgusting and foul how good he was. he was like the main dude in a boy band?? yall will need to get a grip before you watch this because…just…if you’ve seen *the picture* combine it with any backstreet boys and/or nsync music video and use your imagination, that was his performance.
it is with the utmost respect that i say they were all so hot and talented and sickening in this idk what more you want to hear! your honor, i love them!

so in celebration of NPMD going up on youtube i’ve been rewatching the hatchetfield shows, and in TGWDLM i noticed that jeff blim wears a letterman jacket with a big J on it during La Dee Dah Dah Day… which could possibly stand for Jägerman ?
because NPMD was written first, that means the character of Max Jägerman was already written when they were doing TGWDLM, and if Pete is in TGWDLM as the hot chocolate boy then maybe Max was there too ?

I joined the Starkid fandom around 2011, disappeared around 2017 and properly came back like a few months ago and as you can imagine it’s crazy different now but it’s been the best thing being apart of this wonderful community again and I’m feeling a bit nostalgic so I thought I’d list the things I remember from when I first joined. (I would have been 11/12).
• The StarkidWiki mainly being lots of fuckyeah_____ pages for the actors.
• Me making one for Meredith because I loved her in starship and couldn’t believe she didn’t have one.
• Being obsessed with Joe Moses’s ‘Potion’s Master Corner’ series.
• When MTV went and visited Starkid during the making of Starship (mainly about Darren’s involvement as he was on GLEE by then).
• Everyone wearing or wanting pink sunglasses.
• The old space themed logos.
• Having fan-art from all the musicals on my IPhone 3G, like Pigfarts, Umbridge, Tootsie Noodles etc.
• Listening to all the music on YouTube like the very potter soundtracks and even compilations of everyone’s vocals.
• Boy Toy always getting stuck in my head.
• Watching Me and My Dick at like 12 because I wanted to have seen every musical.
• Joe Walker revealing Brian and Meredith were a couple and everyone freaking out.
• Watching all the Space Tour and Apocalyptour challenges.
• The excitement surrounding the announcement of AVPSY.
• Seeing Jeff Blim for the first time as Sweet Tooth and being like wow this man is amazingly talented, then seeing him as Aragon in AVPSY and being like wow this man is talented and hot.
• Watching the videos of the HMB cast do panels in their costumes at the 2012 Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (and Sean Astin as ‘Dylan Saunders’??).
• Being excited at all the Starkid cameos in Chris Allen’s short film ‘OMG’.
(I can’t remember as much from 2014-2016 and this list got long and boring 🫣).
