Sorry for now showing you guys the big news for so long- here's Chamomile!!

He's my first Jellycat! I went out to Barnes and Noble but when I couldn't find what I was looking for I checked out the Papersource they had across the street and boy was I absolutely delighted when I saw they had Jellycats

Getting my first Jellycat and which one it'd be had been on my mind that week and I never expected that the time would come so soon! I just had to get the backpack dino :D it's left arm is stuck facing up and I think it makes him look like his waving! Absolutely adorable.

Chamomile is sooo soft and I love rubbing my fingers on his spikes, I am truly a sucker for soft textures! So today I decided to hold a small tea time session and my did I miss holding tea times.

I decided to cut the strings for his backpack so I could hold him more when I wanted to, and inside it's backpack it holds: Two rocks my friend gave me and a frog toy 𓆏

I hope I can get more Jellycats in the future as I love their style and how soft they are. I'm particularly entranced by their reptile and amphibian plushes! Something about them makes me want to take them to the library and find a small space for us to sit and drink tea ☆

THE MOLES!!!! Oh my god the moles… would’ve liked to see a star-nosed or eyeless mole but these ones are still preeeeetty cool. How do you feel about the stitched eyes rather than the little black beads? I’m a bit more of a black beads fan I think

The eye thing is something I noticed with this new collection, too, and it is upsetting me. The Backpack Jellycats all have beady black eyes but the new Backpack Puppy has stitched eyes, for example. And this collection in general has a lot of non-beady-eyed Jellycats. Maybe other people prefer stitched eyes but to me it makes the Jellycat look lifeless and sort of cheap.

So no, I am NOT a fan of stitched eyes. I love the classic black, beady eyes. Almost all Jellycats have those eyes and it's one of the things I originally loved about the brand. I'm very afraid they will change over to more designs with stitched eyes, primarily to save production costs. All that said, there are always exceptions. I enjoy the stitched eyes on the new Bryno Dino and Adon Dragon!

I also have a large Mellow Mallow Dino on the way but they haven't shipped yet, I'm very excited though since they're retired and I think I got a really fair price! I can't pick their name until they get home though because I need to hold them to know their name.

Grace (Huggady Hippo) arrived with a small hole in the underside of her front right arm, and I didn't notice as soon as she arrived because there were strangers in the yard building my parents a deck, lots of noise and I was stressed, I was really lucky it was a very tiny hole and no stuffing fell out while I cuddled her for 2 days and I can sew so I was able to patch her up this morning with no problem. I still felt really bad for not noticing immediately so that's why she is named Grace because I feel like she let me cuddle her while I was upset and stressed even though she had a hole (I think it was just where the material was misaligned so the machine didn't attach atcthe seam.

I take the little ones literally everywhere with me because they will all fit in my backpack in one of the small bags from Jellycat and if I feel panicked I can pull them out no matter where I am, or I can take one in my pocket with me. I did forget recently though and it was a MISTAKE.

My very first Jellycat was Tarragon (the daraggon it's a half rhyme) and my Fiancé bought them for me from our local Waterstones and I was so so excited. Although technically the first one I bought was Opal but they were a preorder and took like 2 months to actually arrive.

I'm actually going to get a little box so I can cut off and store all of their tags nice and safely. I have several bags because all but one (two if you count the one who isn't here yet) came directly from Jellycat since that's the easiest most reliable option for me here in Scotland.
