they’re still on the team 10 tour (drew gooden made a great video about it, go watch it)
jake apologizes for not posting videos as much “we don’t even have wi-fi some days!” OH MY GOD WHAT A TRAGEDY
some other team 10 members throw shit at jake while he’s trying to talk and it’s actually really funny
he shows a small compilation of “jerika moments” (hey guess what they’re still not actually dating)
the “ex team 10 member” being referenced is kade and they play his unreleased verse from the song “randy savage”
i was hoping it’d be nick crompton i want nick crompton back
in the verse, kade talks about how he’s “team 10 for life” so it’s pretty ironic that he left lol

For the views // Toddy Smith Fluffy Imagine
Pairing: Toddy Smith x reader
Request:  “Can you write a Toddy Smith imagine where him and anette are secretly dating until David's catches them kissing and puts it in the vlog? :)))” -unknown
Warning: swearing, fluff
Word count: 1 079 (a short one.. i’m sorry!)
A/N: Thank you so much for your request! I really hope that you’ll like it. :)
Tumblr media
Everybody thinks that Toddy is a fuckboy, but he’s not. He’s actually really caring and protective. How do I know you ask? Well, I’ve been dating him for 4 months now, but we don’t want our fans to know about it yet so we’ve been keeping it as a secret. From our friends as well.
I don’t feel like telling the. Specially David, he’d put in his vlog to get views. I get him, our ship is almost as big as Jerika or something like that, but it would make things more complicated for us. I like the way it is right now.
Us going out on a date while the others think we’re at our friends house for example. I guess they’re starting to understand, what is actually going on, but they want us to tell them.
I was in my bathroom, putting on some makeup, when I got a phone call from Liza. “Where are you?” she asked me “In my bathroom” I said and the door opened. “You getting ready? For who?” she asked me and I started laughing. “For the party that David’s having. You didn’t know?” I asked her giggling “No, gues he didn’t want to invite me.” we both laugh and hug each other.
I finish my makeup and put on cute white dress that I knew Toddy loved so much. He always told me not to wear it, when we’re out with our friends, because he couldn’t control himself and I’ve always thought it’s cute and funny.
We got into Liza’s car and started driving to Davids new house that he had just bought. It was really huge and modern. We always joked that he only bought this house, because it would get him views and it matches with his Tesla. It was actually kinda true.
“So, are you and Toddy a thing?” she asked me and looked at me with a clever spark in his eyes. I couldn’t help, but blush and feel nervous. “No, why would you think that?” I asked her trying to play it off. “Oh honey, it’s all good. Trust me. It’s obvious that you like him a lot and so does he. You guys have that chemistry and spark. You’re far from being just friends with him.” she told me and I just giggled a little.
“I don’t really want to talk about it.” I said to her and she nodded her head “Whenever you’re ready babe.” she said and took my hand in hers an smiled at me. She’s always so sweet and caring. She never pushes me to tell her something I don’t feel comfortable with.
We pulled up to David’s house and everybody being already there including Toddy, my boyfriend., we just went to the backyard and as we assumed there they were. Most of them. “Hey, babe!” David yelled and ran towards Liza. She smiled, jumped into his arms and they kissed. “Hey, y/n!” he said. I smiled and hugged him.
We walked inside. It was getting colder and darker outside. I was wearing a short dress so it got a little chilly. We get in and I started looking for Toddy with my eyes. I saw him talking with Scott and he was holding his camera. I step next to Scotty. “How drunk did you get?” he asked him and Toddy answered “I didn’t get that drunk.”
As per usual Toddy was not wearing a shirt, I didn’t mind at all. Everybody always wanted for him to be shirtless, because he has a nice body. Scotty saw me and turned his camera on me. “Hey! You want to hookup with Toddy?” he asked me and laughed. I nodded “Why not, right?” and he turned his camera off, hugged me. “I’ll go find Kristen.” he said and took off. Toddy looked at me with a little anger in his eyes.
He grabbed my hand looked around so no one could see us walking into David’s bedroom. He closed the door and looked at me. “I told you. You can’t wear that dress, when we’re out with friends, babe!” he said kinda whining. I giggled and kissed him. “I bought this dress to wear it not for it to sit in the closet.” I responded and winked at him. “You, y/n, are driving me crazy. You know that?” he said in a low deadass sexy voice.
He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me closer to him, his lips brushed softly against mine and then he kissed me. I put my arms around his neck and pull him by his hair. He lets out a soft moan, it drived him crazy. “Oh my God, guys! EVERYBODY Y/N AND TODDY ARE MAKING OUT!” David screamed and filmed us. People started pouring in everybody holding up their camera. “Kiss again, I want the thumbnail!” Zane yelled and I laughed.
Toddy pulls me closer and kisses me again. “Go harder, bitch!” Heath yelled and they started laughing. So I did as they told me and jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist. He grabbed my ass. “SHIT!” Zane said, came closer to get the shot of him grabbing my ass. “Alright, there’s kids watching it!” Jason said and stepped in front of us and pretended to cover us up. Everybody started laughing. “We get it, you’re older!” Josh said and we all laughed.
I unwrap my legs and stand up by my own two feet now, but he still pulls me closer. “Now they know.” he said and smiled at me softly. I giggle and kiss him. “Are you guys dating?” David asks us and still films us with his camera. We both nod and his eyes go bigger than ever. “For 4 months.” Toddy said to David and he got even more suprised. Me and Toddy both laugh. “I’m so going to put that into the vlog!” he says and I look at Toddy. He nodds. “Okay, you can put it in.” he said.
“Actually, I was not going to ask you, but thank you!” David laughed and so do we. He was never the rude friend, but if something like that happened he would pay you hundreds of dollars just so he can put it in his vlog.
Party continued to be fun and everybody started asking us how, why, when, where, for how long and so on. It’s easier now that our friends know. I like it more.

Hands-On Examination | Trial 2 | Erik A + Erika L | Re: Just Erika, Eri, Byrne | ATTN: Everyone
All of this happening is a blur, and Erik A is hit with one hard hitting reveal after another, blow after blow. Both of them. First, Erika’s horrible opinions, then Eri’s heavy accusations of manipulation and trickery on Erika’s part, spinning their own story… It’s a lot to take in. At the very least though, with Just Erika asking to come over to Erika L, Erik A knows that this will be right next to him, so he offers right away to help.
“Let’s do it together, yeah? It’s more secure if it’s more than one person looking at someone, or easier to believe for everyone else at least,” Erik A says. He didn’t doubt Erika L’s authenticity here, but some other people here could, basically.
Well, it looks like she's gotta follow through now. Erika L rubs her hands together, looking a little nervous. "Okay. Uh, let's get started." She takes Just Erika's hand, bringing her arm forward to get a good look at it. Her other hand, she drags lightly across the skin of the arm and hand, feeling for any telltale textures. After she's spent a while doing that, she switches to using her fingernails (lightly) to try and disturb anything that might be more smoothly applied than she can feel or see.
Furrowing her brow, she moves from one arm to the other, going over it with the same gentle thoroughness. Minutes pass and still no obvious result. Erika L's starting to feel intensely awkward. "Sorry, I'm just gonna..." With a thumb, she smudges at the makeup on Just Erika's face, trying not to get too close to her eye. Despite squinting, and getting real close...
"...Nothing," she finally exhales, turning away. "It doesn't look like she's injured at all." She glances to Erik A. "You can go ahead and check my work, though. It'd probably be best to have a second opinion." She sure was defending Just Erika earlier... a move she now feels a little foolish for.
Erik A gives a nod to Erika L’s assessment, having been watching it closely and quietly muttering advice for things to check, and reaches out to confirm for himself too since he’s standing right there anyways.
But his expression darkens though as Jerika continues to talk. Jerika is right there, in font of him, saying those things and he has to take a moment to calm himself just enough to not lash out before he speaks and before he continues to help check her too. And when he does speak, as calmly as he can manage, there’s still a somewhat icy edge to it for a moment, eyes flicking between Erika and Eri.
Tumblr media
“Lyrica wasn’t dying there, not definitely. And Byrne is right. Her injury and her possible concussion, as debilitating as it was to her leg, wouldn’t have killed her if she’d gotten medical help. The trap clearly fucked up, and didn't hit her somewhere vital. This isn’t about being in denial of her death, this is about a death being caused that never had to happen in the first place.
Whichever one of you force fed her the gummies, or BOTH of you even since you seem to have been covering for each other and apparently allowed this regardless of who did the fucking did, you chose to kill her instead of helping her. It wasn’t a mercy, it was selfish. Lyrica might have had a terminal illness, she told me her life expectancy unless she managed to get a transplant was only two years, but she still wanted to live out the rest of that time how she wanted to, and you both robbed her of that. You didn’t let her go out on HER terms at all, and if anyone had denial here, it was you in denial of their wishes.”
That off of his chest, he takes a deep break and allows his expression to fall blank as he goes over what Erika L has already done. Arms, hands, face, rubbing where needed, anything he can. Thorough, because he really doesn’t want this to be missed her. He even pokes at her legs for a moment just in case that was the answer. In the end though, he gives a nod, looking to the group at large more neutrally.
“Erika L was right, Erika doesn’t have any kinds of injuries as far as we can tell, bruises or scratches alike. Her arms don’t have any evidence of makeup, and the face makeup she has on isn’t hiding anything under it. Whatever happened, and whichever of them are telling the truth here, Erika wasn’t the one getting scratched.”
And with that, he gives a sigh, and a nod towards Erika that she’s free to go if she likes, a murmured apology for at least having to be a little rougher here to make sure.

Measles and Misinformation
Even though p bents argon concerned nearly what vaccinums contain, avoiding the MMR vaccinum and exposing their fryren to the morbilli squirt infect the community in life-altering ways. Pargonnts around the community involve become dangerously misinformed close measles and the facts about measles, as illustrated in political cartoons. both(prenominal) cartoonist, Bob Englehart and Emily Flake, illustrated the effects that avoiding the vaccine can cause as wellhead as the ridicule in avoiding the vaccine. The measles outbreak, which started at Disneyland in December, has not slowed and caused some p arnts, schools, and states to begin talking. Although the talking has end up becoming more than of a debate, the fact that umteen parents are misinformed of the measles vaccine is causing much of the landed estate to rise to concern for their bear lives. Research shows that many parents breeding about the measles vaccine are misinformed on the risks of the getting the vacc ine as well as the facts.\nEmily Flake, a cartoonist for the red-hot Yorker since 2008 and has over a vitamin C published cartoons in the magazine, illustrates her frustrations with the measles controversy in her fresh cartoon, shown above. Flake shows a child at the doctors office, with both parents, and a quotation underneath the photo stating: If you combine the measles it spells out My parents are idiots (Flake). Although the measles on the chuck child does not really spell out that his parents are idiots, Flake is clearly displaying that parents disregard the measles vaccine are ignorant. JAKE PAUL FT. ERIKA COSTELL & UNCLE KADE - JERIKA [0.89] Portmant-no...
Alfred Soto: When a man or woman of average intelligence and no talent step into a studio or record their vocals someplace in the hopes that a musical track will get attached to it, "Jerika" is the result. I can't fault it for realizing its modest ambitions. In fact, "Jerika" gives hope to all of us. [3]
Katie Gill: All I knew about Jake Paul before going into the song is that he was a YouTuber(?) who my Twitter feed collectively hated for some reason. Now I know why we collectively hate him. This song has a complete lack of talent from all parties, whether singers, rappers, writers, or producers, a baffling Tesla namedrop, an even more baffling rap reference, the world's worst rhymes, even worse lyrics, absolutely no flow from anybody involved--and I mentioned the complete lack of talent thing, right? [0]
Nortey Dowuona: Bad rap references, motionless guitar lick, blocky, empty synths and limp drum programming. [0]
Adaora Ede: I get that this is a "joke" "song" and that "Jake Paul's" "career" is based entirely off of his skill with kitschy Youtube humor -- for godssakes, he was even fired off a Disney show based off of a non-proprietary version of the website, but I'm still hopelessly embarrassed by the Quavo misnomer. Even so, that hypothetical mask on Migo number one's face is very securely placed and unmoved by Jake Paul's phone book frat boy flow. This is not even to mention that Uncle Kracker's long lost son who has seen G-Eazy in concert 3 times Uncle Kade makes a surprise appearance and adds nothing to the song other than the line "keep trying don't stop/ cause family bloggers are so hot". Yeah, I might say that spacey indietropica loop + trap modulation is a sound that I do have an affinity for (could've charted in 2016 if it was a Flume song) and I do admit that Erika Costell kinda killed the talk-sing-rap combo on that chorus, but my morality is telling me that I cannot give a Jake Paul track more than a 4. [3]
Joshua Copperman: When I started this blurb, I was fascinated by Jake Paul and this whole Team 10 thing. Like a bizarro-world High School Musical, they get into fights (and sometimes make up) through song, make slick vlogs reacting ironically to videos they made themselves, and now... sing about getting married, I guess. These components add up to a real-time reality show, deliberately made for maximum camp and virality, whether through moments like a British person claiming that "England is my city" on previous Hot 100 charter "It's Everyday Bro," or the increasingly egregious lines here. I'll just list some; "if you were a dude, I think I'd die"; the entirety of Uncle Kade's verse, but especially the "family vloggers are so hot" part; "put my ass in a Tesla"; the title drop in the bridge. Of course, this is all meant to be trollbait -- even the response to the criticism borrowed the flow from the song that sparked the criticism -- but there's a strange dislike I have for this song specifically. Maybe it's the artificiality, either of the marriage itself, or of the Post-Malonious thunk topped with shrill Auto-Tune. Maybe it's the creepily innocuous -- if not outright sinister - undercurrent in the emphasis on babies and motherhood. But maybe it's that the two of us are nearly the same age (he's older by eight months) and I'm just jealous that he's the star of his own YouTube empire/a business, man, while I'm sitting here criticizing him. Yet I don't doubt he's reading this due to some Google alert: sorry for the score, Jake. Shit must be so hard right now. Ignore everything, and keep doing you, because you can and you will anyway, forever and ever and ugh. [0]
Scott Mildenhall: Hey Mom, how are things? The weather's great in West Hollywood, which is one thing, I suppose. I hear I was on the news the other night? Apparently I was visible for at least three seconds, but I can't be sure, because we don't have a TV here -- like Jake told me, "television is an antiquated medium; it relies too much on quality control". Besides, he's saving up money so we can have beds first. Anyway, I know Grandma has reservations about all this, but please remember that you all know why I'm here. And it's like Jake told me: "vicious nihilism is what the Sex Pistols were all about, and they'll always be revered". Music is such a key part of influencing -- he's actually making a song as I write. It's amazing how it's mixed so it sounds like it's being heard repeatedly through thin walls. He's right when he says that we don't need any other music. Barring you, we don't really need any other people. Heck, there are always a ton of girls waiting for us, just behind the gates. I'm fine. The timer's ticking on me now though, so send my love to everyone, I hope the enclosed dollars help. [2]
Joshua Minsoo Kim: Jake Paul thrives on controversy so whether mixing up Quavo and Future is intentional or a result of incompetence is irrelevant when it's leading to more views on YouTube. There's a whole lot to roll your eyes at here but to list it all would be a waste of time since "Every Little Thing" is self-evidently terrible and successful for the very same reason. [0]
Stephen Eisermann: This is no "Shooketh," a comedy song with redeeming qualities... hell, it's not even a so bad it's good, "Friday" type of song. Instead, this song only serves to remind us all that having no talent or sense of humor is only a career hindrance if you're not white. [0]
Will Adams: The kicker is that the genre of inept pop songs by vapid Z-list celebrities that include a video of the involved rolling around on a beach has been around for over a decade now. Back then, the sound was Timbaland electropop, the platform MTV, the context Heidi Montag squabbling with her Orange County cohorts. Now the sound is Halsey's "Now or Never," the context Jake Paul and his squad terrorizing his neighbors. The platform is YouTube, a space where white 20 year olds with good hair and stupid amounts of money can let their voice be heard. Any vanity project like this treads a fine line between endearing failure and outright obscenity. "Jerika" has no gray area; hearing these three idiots grin through an arrhythmic rap that includes botched Quavo callouts, dead-eyed family talk (not to mention Uncle Kade's creepy third-wheel verse), "put my ass in a Tesla" and questionable rhyme scheme is nauseating. As a snapshot of YouTuber culture, "Jerika" is illuminating; as pop music, it's grotesque. [0]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID WOLKOWSKY
David Wolkowsky’s 98th birthday being celebrated this evening. One of Key West finest! The Key West of today would not be were it not for him. He is properly referred to as Mr. Key West.
I will be at the party.
I have mentioned David often in this blog. Even wrote a lengthy article about him in KONK Life last year. Titled: David Wolkowsky. Read and enjoy. Learn much about the man. www.konknet.com/2016-03-04-3/.
Truman Capote died this date in 1984. David and Truman were friends. They became friends when Capote first stayed at David’s new Pier House Resort Motel.
The time 1968. David had recently completed construction of the Motel. The Motel that would grow into what is the fabulous Pier House today. Capote was a visitor. He wanted to see David’s best accommodations before he took one.
Following the selection process, David invited Capote to have a drink with him. David was living in a luxurious 45 foot 2 bedroom double wide trailer parked 10 feet from the Motel’s waterfront.
Capote told David he wanted to stay in the trailer. Capote had come to Key West for the winter. David finally acquiesced to Capote’s request. He moved into a suite in the Motel and gave Capote the trailer.
While living in the trailer, Capote wrote Answered Prayers.
A hero is like an angel. Appears when needed. Assuming you believe in angels.
A hero appeared on the Key West scene yesterday. Actually, a heroine. Jerika Rudolph. Eighteen years old.
Jerika was traveling om South Roosevelt Boulevard when she observed a Chevy Trailblazer jump the seawall and mangroves into the channel.
Jerika did not hesitate. Pulled over. Told the passenger with her to call 911. Ran across the street and jumped into the water.
She saw a man, woman and 6-7 year old child. The adults trying to break the windows. She got the woman and child out. the man was able to get out on his own.
From the time Jerika reached the car and extricated two of the passengers, the vehicle had already been carried 100 feet by the current.
Talking with authorities after the event, Jerika was asked if she was afraid. Never gave it a thought, she said. My concern was to get the people out.
The long awaited Duval Loop begins operation August 31. Part of a new Key West park and ride program. A bus will travel around the perimeter of Duval Street picking up and dropping off people who parked their cars somewhere and wanted to visit certain downtown spots. The ride always free. The aim to relieve congestion.
Hope it works. Parking and traffic impossible.
Hurricane Harvey making its way to the Corpus Christi area of Texas. A big one. Predicted to be a 3 when it hits. High water levels. Three feet of rain expected over a period of a few days.
You read correctly. Three feet of rain!
Hurricanes no fun. Believing discretion the better part of valor, I have always left when a hurricane was predicted. Returned a few days later when permitted to find damage beyond comprehension.
I stayed for a tropical storm once. Forget its name. The tropical storm was a disaster in itself. It hung over Key West without moving for seven days. I was able to get out of the house once. To my deck.
Windows boarded. Power off most of the time. No TV. Alone in the dark or with candles. Impossible to read. It made me wonder how Lincoln studied law by candle light.
The wind blowing loudly and incessantly. The rain beating against the house.
Food supply held out. Primarily peanut butter and crackers. Bottled water.
I sympathize with the Texans. The force of hurricane 3 will be a far more difficult and dangerous experience than a tropical storm.
Americans are a forgiving people. Time to forgive Pete Rose and permit him to be voted into the Hall of Fame.
Rose’s sin was he bet on baseball games. The serious sin, he bet on his own team the Cincinnati Reds while managing the team. Only to win, he said.
Rose was a star of stars in his playing days. Still holds the record for the most hits at bat during a career. Well in excess of 3,000.
Rose was banned in 1989. Twenty eight years ago. He has been humiliated and suffered enough.
The economy is good. Or, so we are told. Especially by Trump. It is. However, primarily for the already rich.
A recent Harris Poll indicates more than three-quarters of American households live paycheck to paycheck. Seventy eight percent.
Tough times. Too many Americans having a difficult time making ends meet.
Enjoy your day!
