Was just listening to Letter, for like the 800th time (I know y’all do it too 🥰). I was just reminded of just how intimate and beautiful this song is. And that Jimin wrote this song to Jungkook. “I know that it’s obvious but I’ll deliver these words so it’s not taken lightly”. Wow. Jimin had a message to JK in this song he wanted to make sure JK heard loud and clear. “Though it’s scary, though we’re afraid, never forget that we’re together”. I know we all probably cried when we first heard this song. I know I did and truth be told I’m sitting here crying again just thinking about what this song means to Jimin and Jungkook. Not a song for ARMY, not even close.

To me one of the things that makes this song SO beautiful, even beyond how it sounds, is what it means. It’s a love letter written from Jimin’s heart. And thank you Jimin for trusting us enough to show us who is in your heart and who your heart belongs to.

i just don't understand why you guys are so adamant to think jimin is a liar and just simply not listen to him. jimin has never shyed from the truth and even if there are times where he tries to be subtle he makes it still glaringly obvious. im convinced majority of you just didnt watch the documentary and just watched the jikook cut because otherwise you would see how jimin came up with the lyrics what he said about the lyrics and meaning and why he chose jungkook to do it. never once did he even slighty imply it was a romantic love song for a secret partner. jungkook is the vocal model all members use. he is the member all members go to if they want vocal backing. he's done it with yoongi, jhope and now jimin and not to mention the group itself😭 and it's not letter ft jungkook it's letter by jimin. full stop. jk has credit of backup vocals just like namjoon has writing credits there is no difference. the least you all can do is respect jimins music and not just see and hear what you want to fulfill your shipping narrative.

It was a birthday gift to you when Seokjin had agreed to let you drag him to a Slipknot concert. He could see how excited you were for him to see what metal was all about, because it’s one of the many things you love. 

And Seokjin loves you, meaning he wants to understand every aspect of your interests. 

It had been an advantage with concert tickets and seats with Seokjin being a part of BTS. 

The seats were on the balcony, having a perfect view down to the stage and catching onto the huge bold letters in red. Everything was set ready and after managing to get to your seats, you and Seokjin shared a beer that you passed between you two. 

“Thank you for this.” 

Seokjin giggles, wrapping an arm around you and giving you a peck to your temple. 

“Whatever my baby wants. Also can we talk about their name? Slipknot? That’s so cool, but… I can’t help but think about knotting.” Seokjin rambles on, and your eyes pop open by the indication of him reading omega verse fics. 

“Did Jimin share those with you?” 

“Actually… Namjoon stumbled upon one on Twitter and after drinking, we couldn’t resist and read the whole thread.” He admits, his cheeks growing a faded pink.

“I cannot believe you.” You begin to laugh, finding it ridiculous that Slipknot made Seokjin admit to reading knotting in fics. 

Although it doesn’t really surprise you. There are some… interesting things out there in the fandom and curiosity can always get the worst out of someone. 

“Stop laughing!” He scolds you jokingly, handing you to beer. 

“You’re cute.” You peck his lips before taking a sip. 

The show finally starts, lights dimming down and the Slipknot members walking out to their positions. 

Seokjin’s eyes bulge out by the costumes they’re decorated in, yet super amazed by the creativity and the world of metal coming into view. 

You clutch onto him, joining the crowds screaming as the first song starts playing. 

“How the fuck are they able to scream this way?!” He shouts in your ear, arm around your waist to keep you close. 

“Bet you can’t with your pretty vocals.” You tease, screaming along with the lyrics. 

It’s fun, Seokjin jumping with you, following your rhythm. 

But, he takes you by surprise by screaming beside you, his voice ringing through louder than the lead singer who’s head raises in your direction. 

“Holy shit.” The lead singer pauses to say, everyone laughing as they watch Seokjin. You’re shocked yourself and Seokjin bowes comically for everyone, the lead singer sending a thumbs up your way before returning to the song ‘Custer.’ 

The night is eventful, freeing and wild. 

“I cannot believe you did that!” You shout when you walk out of the arena, hand in hand. 

“I’m full of surprises.” 

“Why do I have a feeling the night isn’t over yet?” 

“Because it’s not.” He kisses you softly, a bit longer than your usual small pecks and you clutch tightly onto his broad shoulders. 

“S’ cute.” Seokjin mumbles against your lips and you nibble his bottom lip before pulling away. 

“Stop.”

It’s the next morning when Seokjin hugs you from behind, nuzzling his head in your nape as he mumbles a groggy greeting. 

“Morning.” You trace your fingers on his smooth skin, grabbing your phone while he slowly wakes up. 

Twitter is the first app you check and your feed is spiraling out of control. Seokjin is trending with Slipknot and you let out a grin. 

“Jinnie! Look.” You shove the video of him that an army shared, captioning it ‘Seokjin vs. Slipknot’. 

It’s the exact moment where Seokjin screams so loud the arena turns to look up, catching the view of a flustered yet excited Seokjin that bows at the attention. 

“Holy shit.” He laughs against your skin, the tingles running further down your spine. 

The comments are filled with positivity, many screaming how lovely it is to see Seokjin open minded to the genre of mental and how cozy you both looked despite being polar opposites in the blink of an eye. 

It looks funny, your fully black clothes, shredded and chains hanging wherever the possibilities stand and Seokjin in a clean black blazer with a white t-shirt under. 

“Fuck. Hold on.” Seokjin pushes himself away, reaching for his phone that keeps ringing. 

“What now, Jungkook?” He groans, irritated that the golden maknae is interrupting his morning cuddling session with his partner. 

“Hyung! I cannot believe you did that.” Jungkook is laughing, high pitched enough for you to hear it. 

“Put me on speaker.” He demands and Seokjin rolls his eyes but does it regardless. 

“Hey, Y/N?” Jungkook asks for you and you hum, giving a sign you’re able to hear him. 

“Do you think Jin-hyung would be able to scream King for a Day?” 

“Is that a challenge, Jungkook?” Seokjin is frowning but he hasn’t even heard the song. 

“Back me up!” It’s directed towards you and you chuckle.

“Jinnie, I don’t think you can. Vic knows how to scream.” You make him aware but Seokjin is having none of it. 

“Well Vic is going to lose his job after I beat him.” 

“Yeah you do that, hyung.” Jungkook says through the phone and you both giggle when Seokjin is still confident. 

“It’s not metal though babe. But he’s a screamer.” 

“Put it on. Jungkook, I’m hanging up.” 

Let’s just say, Seokjin learns how to tune down the confidence after hearing King for a Day and not speaking more of it for the rest of the day.

Jimin is truly one of a kind.

He is always surprising us and he is always leaving us speechless. His debut album FACE is a masterpiece and perfection. I love all songs, but my 2 favourite are definitely Like Crazy and Letter.

Like Crazy is a spectacular and perfect main track and the MV is a visual masterpiece. I can’t even explain it. It’s way far from k-pop. If he was someone from the western industry, it could be nominated for SOTY and best MV even for the Grammy Awards. His level is crazy. Literally noone does it like him and only 1 person can be on his level and it’s Jungkook.

Letter is a beautiful and special song and even I would like it to be on Spotify, the fact it’s a hidden song gives it so much more meaning. The last part of the song is extremely beautiful and it makes me cry. You can also listen to the version where you can hear Jungkook’s voice more clearly and he is singing along with Jimin for the entire last part. Their voices together is just pure magic.

Also if people didn’t get the message Jimin was showing in his Photo-Folio or they ignored it or they denied it and if they do the same now after Like Crazy MV and Like Crazy performance, I have to laugh. You may wish he is straight, but you can’t change the fact he indeed isn’t. Is it really that hard to accept?

And YouTube is trash. If they weren’t deleting or blocking views or whatever they are doing with BTS videos I bet the Like Crazy would have 30-40 million in 24 hours and then better position on Billboard. So unfair. Also HANTEO deleting 770k+ sales? I can’t believe it. I wish it gets fixed so much, but chance is low…

In regards to letter, I almost think it’s sweeter that JK is just doing the bg vocals and it’s so “hidden” bc Jimin said he wanted this album to be about his thoughts and feeling alone - that’s why he didn’t collaborate with any other artists - it was his own personal message. So it could’ve been a “Jimin FT. Jungkook” song, but I feel like, just like JKs subtle promotion in his lives, it’s JK subtly supporting Jimin from the back and not stealing his spotlight - just cheering him on and supporting him as always

Just a thought about Letter...

I've been listening to 편지 a few times before I sleep. It's become a lullaby. I'm so thankful Jimin shared this gem with us. 😭 Anywayyys. Whenever I hear the first 15 seconds of the song and the 15 seconds starting at 3:10 I am always struck with certain imagery.

Clip of the first 15 seconds:

I can see two people laying in bed cozily. An open window and the sounds of the ocean and a light breeze flow in gently.

One person is speaking Jimin's words very softly, almost a whisper. As the other gives a soft "Mm" as if to say "I'm listening, love."

That "Mm" sound gets me every time:

It's really interesting how the soft whisper-like singing and the "Mm" sound is used at the beginning and the end of the song.

It really sounds and feels quite intimate.

Just a thought I had. I'm probably not the only one who thought about this.

Oh and I'm sure you know who I think Jimin is whispering sweet nothings to. That someone's name does not start with an A. 🥰

Shippers have hyped it up for no reason. Its non-shipping equivalent would be ot7s hyping up Namjoons contribution in Like Crazy. Obviously both JK and NJ were important but the amount shippers / armys talk about it versus the actuality of their contribution is tiresome

Finally I'm not trying to be condescending but if you say things that are factually untrue (letters a duet) or that are guesses but not facts (letter is something special between jikook that we're unaware of), why is there such an aversion to push back? Surely it's good to question these things? And I'm harping on about letter only as an example. It is one situation amongst many.
