i actually think it makes so much sense that of all the western artists yoongi has collabed with over the years, he seems to have the greatest affinity artistically (and personally but that's speculation ofc we can't really know how close they are even if the vibes are right) with halsey, notorious tumblr girl. i feel like, had he not been exceptionally busy and over worked during the peak tumblr era, yoongi would have thrived here, like he had and has such tumblr energy okay

Mafia! BTS - The Rival Mafia Boss Likes You Pt. 2
A/N: This is the 2nd part of Mafia! BTS - The Rival Mafia Boss Likes You Pt. 1
Warnings: Profanity, (implications of) violence
Important: I won't add gifs to individual members anymore because of copyright issues. I never had the intention to steal or claim other people's work; I have also stated several times I do not own or claim ownership over gifs and photos used as support material in my fictions (except for putting together moodboards for the masterlist and individual profiles, aesthetics etc). If anyone recognizes their photos/gifs in my fictions, do not hesitate to contact me, I will delete it or tag you, whatever you wish, because it's not my intention to claim ownership of someone else's work. The gifs and photos on my blog were retrieved from Pinterest (and as it has been pointed out to me this does not serve as an excuse - obviously - it is just the fact of the situation) and in most cases do not state the original owner or are further edited. Conclusion: to avoid unnecessary conflict, I won't add gifs and photos to my fictions anymore and once again am imploring the original owners to dm me, send an ask or comment if they recognize their work, so that I can give them credit/delete the gif/photo per their request.
Jin
You barged in through the front door, locking it immediately behind you. The entire way home, you had the feeling like Lee was still watching you from somewhere - or keeping an eye on you as he pointed out himself.
Your chest rose and fell heavily as you put down your bag and tried to collect yourself before seeing your boyfriend. You did not want to worry him, whatmore, you did not know what exactly to tell him. It was the way everything happened, the looks, the energy but most of all the words themselves.
"I like you," rang in your head as you leaned back, steadying yourself against the end table.
Your heart was beating so loud you did not hear Jin come up to you. When he caressed your cheek, you opened your eyes and jumped away. Jin frowned and his lips parted but your eyes were wide.
You let out a breath of relief and almost hesitantly wrapped your arms around his waist, tangling your fingers in his crisp white shirt.
"Huh?" you murmured when you realised Jin has been asking you things but you did not even register his voice.
"What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost," he asked again as he cupped your cheeks and made you look up at him.
You sighed, "Almost."
You told Jin what had happened to every last detail. Anger, shock, rage, they all mixed on your boyfriend's face while you told him the story but he let you finish nonetheless.
"Where were your guards? I gave you four men-"
"I ditched them..." you confessed, lowering your gaze beneath Jin's anger. His chest was raising heavily, his lips parted and his eyebrows furrowed into a deep, frightening frown.
"Fuck!" Jin cursed out loud as he got up from the sofa where you were talking and paced around angrily. Then suddenly, he turned to you, his eyes pinpointed on your own.
"Never," he demanded as he took your arms and held you up, "Never do anything like this again, Y/N. It's not just your safety anymore," Jin's lip twitched in anger. "It's the fact that you belong to me, princess, me."
You stared up at Jin, never having seen him this jealous before.
He cupped your cheeks out of nowhere and kissed you sensually as if he had been waiting for you for a hundred years. Knocked out of breath, you closed your eyes and rested your hands on Jin's waist, giving into the kiss.
"Mine," he whispered as he leaned his forehead against yours. "I won't let him come near you again, I swear, I swear to fucking god."
Namjoon
"Did you get the books from the shop?" asked Namjoon later in the day when the two of you were both at home. You looked up absent-mindedly, barely catching his question. But as you realized what he had asked your eyes widened and your heart gave an uncomfortable squeeze.
"N-No... I'm sorry, I forgot," you managed but Namjoon did not let your reaction slide.
"What's going on? Y/N, do you want to tell me something?" he asked calmly and closed the book in his lap.
The look in your eyes begged to be asked further but your mouth would not part and tell him what had happened at the bookshop.
"Baby, what is it?" asked Namjoon more gently and knelt in front of your armchair, his hands resting on your legs.
"I... I..." you began but there was a lump in your throat. You swallowed and took one of his palms, enfolding it into your two small ones. "I don't want to worry you..." you confessed yet Namjoon was nowhere near satisfied with the answer.
"Baby, you're worrying me now," he spoke calmly and caressed your cheek with his free hand. "You can tell me anything, you trust me, right?"
You nodded, accepting the point he's made and slowly told him everything that's happened to you that day.
Namjoon listened patiently yet the expression on his face and the hold on your hand spoke otherwise. A cold look filled his eyes and his jaw clenched.
"This happened today?" he asked and you nodded. "I'll take care of it, baby, don't worry."
The tone of his voice did just the opposite though. It was bitter and so raging furious it was already calm, the look on his face no different too.
"Joon-"
"I'm coming with you everywhere from now on," he cut you off and squeezed your hand reassuringly. "When I can't, I'll have my men go with you. I'm not giving that fucking son of a bitch any excuses to come near you. You're mine, you understand?"
You nodded as Namjoon kissed you with every softness in the world although his mind was raging with violent things he wanted to do to Lee.
Yoongi
"Yoongi?" you whispered as you were lying in bed that night. You had not told your boyfriend about anything that had happened on the way home from the university but you could not sleep because of it either.
Yoongi murmured something in his sleep, slowly stirring awake. "What is it, baby?"
"N-Nothing," you changed your mind the last moment. Yoongi's eyes remained closed but you instantly regretted not telling him once again.
"Yoongi?" you woke him up again, this time caressing his chest to draw his attention. His pitch black eyes opened lazily but he knew you wouldn't have woke him for no reason. His arm reached for your waist and he drew circles into your skin with his thumb.
"What is it? What's going on, baby?" asked Yoongi as he noticed the troubled expression on your face.
You licked your dry lips and finally told him what happened with the rival gang's frontman.
Yoongi's hold on your waist softened at first as if he had gone numb, then secured it tightly before he sat up and turned on the light.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" he asked and you sat up as well.
"I just... I didn't want you to worry... I want you to know that I can handle myself..."
"I know you can handle yourself but this isn't about that. This is about that piece of shit trying to get to you and destroy me," snarled Yoongi as he got up enraged and pulled a gun from his drawer. You jumped up, hurrying to him.
"Yoongi, please calm down," you begged him, your hands on his chest.
"How can you ask me to calm the fuck down? That crazy fuck targeted you, you, Y/N. You're mine," growled Yoongi as he took your hips and leaned his forehead against yours. The cold steel of the gun against your skin made you shiver but not as much as the tone in Yoongi's voice.
"You're mine, Y/N. I'm never fucking losing you, not after everything that we've been through," whispered Yoongi before he kissed you passionately. "I'd set the whole fucking world on fire before losing you."
Hoseok
You could not focus during your classes for a single moment. Your mind was preoccupied with Lee and everything that had happened that morning. You weren't sure what to think or whether to even tell Hoseok. On one hand, you did not want to worry him and handle this on your own, however, on the other hand, you were way in over your head. This was no ordinary man you were dealing with. He was even capable of nearly setting you and Hoseok apart through orchestrating the whole affair with G/N.
On the way home, you changed direction to Hoseok's office instead though you were not sure what you were going to tell him even as you stood right outside his office door.
However, you did manage to knock and the sound of Hoseok's voice telling you to come in calmed you immediately.
You closed the door behind you, making Hoseok look up from his desk. His face fell in surprise before it brightened up with a smile. Yet the worried look in your own eyes made him frown as he got up from his desk and made his way towards you.
"Is something wrong? You look pale, sweetheart," said Hoseok as he caressed your cheeks. You wrapped your arms around him and hid your face in his warm chest.
"I... I have to tell you something," you confessed.
You sat down and told him about your day. The expression on Hoseok's face darkened with every word you spoke. His eyebrows scrunched into a frown and his jaw clenched.
"Please say something, Hobi..." you whispered and squeezed his hand. He looked up at you, astounded that you would blame yourself for what's happened. It made him even angrier because he wanted nothing more but to protect you.
"I don't give a shit about Lee, Y/N. I only care that you're safe because you're mine. I won't let him come near you again, I fucking promise it," said Hoseok and caressed your cheek.
"You're mine... my girl..." he spoke against your lips as he kissed you possessively.
Jimin
You were pacing up and down the bedroom, trying to hold back your tears of frustration. You were powerless again Lee no matter what Jimin taught you about self-defence, because this was not about self-defence. It was about something much more complicated, something emotional and dangerous at the same time. Something you did not know how to face. Whether to tell Jimin about it was just another dilemma you did not know how to face. However, it seemed like you were forced to.
"Baby, why-" began Jimin as he walked into the bedroom but the moment his eyes fell on you he knew something was wrong.
"Are you crying?" he asked startled before he cupped your cheeks and took a good look at your wet eyes. You tried to look away but Jimin wouldn't let you.
"Tell me what's wrong," demanded Jimin, the protective aura rolling off him, "Right now."
You shook your head and tried to get out of his loving hold but he was already onto you. You managed to turn around but Jimin only wrapped his arms around your waist instead, trapping you against his warm chest.
"What's going on? Why won't you tell me?" he asked in a quiet, calm voice. You eased against his arms and closed your eyes.
"Please promise you won't get upset with me, Jimin," you whispered but the few quiet tears still slipped down your cheeks.
"What's going on?" asked Jimin as he turned you around to face him, his brows furrowing together.
You told him everything that's happened and how you did not know what to do, how to react or whether to do something at all. You felt like you had disappointed Jimin for not using some defence tactics but you couldn't because there wasn't even a physical fight.
Jimin's hold on your hips tightened securely, his upper lip twitching in anger.
"I'm giving you four of my best men to escort you whenever I'm not with you, do you understand? That fucking bastard is never coming near you again," Jimin growled as he nearly leaned his forehead against yours.
You nodded quickly and your eyes watered but Jimin caught them when he caressed your cheeks.
"It's going to be okay, I promise," vowed Jimin and kissed you tenderly. "You're mine and that's never going to change."
Taehyung
The moment Lee disappeared from the restaurant, two frustrated tears spilled down your cheeks. You grabbed your phone and called Taehyung, telling him everything that had happened just moments ago.
It was not long, minutes really, before Taehyung rushed into the restaurant, a couple of frightening-looking man on his trail. The pair sat at the next table as Taehyung pulled you in his arms. He cupped your face, inspecting you for injuries, for anything out of the ordinary but you were alright - physically at least.
"Are you alright my love?"
"Yeah, I'm alright, I'm alright..." you repeated over and over again, calming him more than you had yourself. "I just... I didn't know what to do, Tae..."
"It's okay, you're safe now, I promise," assured Taehyung and kissed your forehead.
You left the restaurant and returned to Taehyung's office. The entire building was like a safekeep and he surely thought that was the safest place for you. Not only at the headquarters, but mostly by his side.
Taehyung held your hand as he led you upstairs, the two guards following you stoically. They waited outside Taehyung's office whilst you went inside.
Tae pulled you to his lap immediately, wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his nose into your neck. You tangled your fingers into his hair and leaned against him.
"Fuck..." cursed Taehyung to himself as he looked into your eyes, "I'm going to kill that fucking piece of shit if he ever comes near you again, I swear it, Y/N. I'll fucking shoot him in the face if he talks to you again.
You're mine."
Jungkook
When the car pulled up in front of the restaurant and Jungkook opened the door for you, you composed yourself the best you could. The feeling of being watched had not disappeared even after Lee left your car and you did not want to show yourself weak by seeking comfort in Jungkook. However, he noticed you were not yourself. Before you even managed to take a few steps, his fingers wrapped gently around your wrist and he stopped you on your tracks.
"Do you need to tell me something?" asked Jungkook subtly as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
Your lips parted slightly and your heart gave a squeeze. His big brown eyes studied you with every care yet you did not want to concern him. However, remembering the last meeting with Lee, you recalled how protective Jungkook got and keeping it from him would only make it worse.
"Lee just talked to me," you whispered yet dared not look away from Jungkook's eyes.
"Who is Lee?" he asked, a glimpse of jealousy on his face but a surname as common as Lee, he could not possibly make out you were talking about his enemy.
Your lips parted to speak but you couldn't say a word. However, Jungkook realized who you were speaking of solely by the expression on your face.
He questioned you thoroughly and you told him exactly what had happened.
"How the fuck did he even get in the car?" growled Jungkook as his chest heaved with anger.
"I don't know... The driver just pulled to the side-"
The raging look in Jungkook's eyes silenced you without a word. His upper lip twitched as he pulled out his gun and stormed towards his car and his driver. The man knew what would happen immediately and rose his arms in surrender.
"I swear, I swear, I only did it because they threatened to kill me," the driver begged as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"They threatened to kill you? I will kill you," snarled Jungkook and pressed his gun to the man's forehead.
"Jungkook!" you hissed and grabbed his hand so hard he could not help but respond to your touch. You stepped between your boyfriend and the pleading driver.
"Not here," you told Jungkook, looking up into his eyes as he stared at you outraged. He licked his lips and glanced at the restaurant entry where a small audience of guests and staff had formed. They averted their eyes immediately yet this would not be swept under the carpet should anything happen. There were too many powerful people in the restaurant.
Jungkook clenched his jaw as he glared at the driver but he lowered his gun. He put his hand on your waist and squeezed it tightly before he pulled you to his side.
"Fine," Jungkook agreed almost soundlessly yet he did not take his glare off the driver. "You should have ignored their threats because what I am going to do to you will be worse than anything you could have possibly imagined."

ָ࣪ if bts were macaroon flavours ♡  ָ࣪
Tumblr media Tumblr media
taehyung
obviously he's caramel/salted caramel. i've said before he radiates beige aesthetic energy and further proof has been collected from the fact that he made his merch bag brown too. (it sold out in less than a minute which is absolutely mad). he's the human version of mostly sweet with a little bit of a lot of hot and spicy thrown in for good measure. or v for victory could also be... um these tata macaroons i found on pinterest?! ....(i want one. or five)
Tumblr media
jimin
Tumblr media
whatever food jimin could be, it would have to be a vibrant and flavourful one. jimin is one of the most (beautiful) and lively people i have ever become to know of. + the colour pink is psychologically associated with love & kindness too. with the addition of the whipped cream, because everyone's whipped for mr park jimin, it also represents the wonderful mix of his skill and humour. yeah and i'm gonna be honest he probably tastes like strawberries when you kiss him 🥺🥺🥺.
hobi
Tumblr media
there's a reason he's not only our hope but also our sunshine; he is 💯% the star that shines the brightest. what's underrated about j-hope? his laugh. that man's laugh makes me laugh on its own! it's music to my ears and everytime he laughs i can picture the happiest grin on his face and it makes me happy. i feel like these macaroons resemble him to a t, and would also give me very slight hope world vibes
namjoon
Tumblr media
this man.... i have unlimited respect for him. truly. i admire his mindset in the way that he seems like a very chilled person to be around, and he appreciates the little things, like thunderstorms and paintstrokes. his taste is EXQUISITE, and as i named him already as a pistachio macaroon in my bts as desserts hc, we are keeping the theme alive here. he is exquisite, expensive and well-valued. so are pistachios. and green is just the colour of nature and peace. i rest my case.
jin
Tumblr media
jin would be a very extravagant flavour with even more extravagant decorations. i can see his macaroons being served in fancy gold boxes that look like they're from a jewellers. obviously, exterior isn't everything, so there would be some super expensive ingredients like black watermelon extract and sea cucumber sprinkles or something like that. the idea here is that eating one of these macaroons is a economical statement. oh, and they're always sold out because everyone loves them.
suga
Tumblr media
min yoongi has this indescribable air of simplicity but complication simultaneously around him. hearing him talk about his and the boys' songs is so inspiring and relaxing to me; it's incredible to see how passionate he is! i think he would a flavour like plain almond or coconut because whenever i think of him the colour white pops into my head. it's peaceful and serene. he's the classic flavour that is indispensable and it always the bestseller in each macaroon parlour, for sure.
jungkook
Tumblr media
toasted marshmallow, without a doubt. jk is a more adventurous flavour then perhaps some of his hyungs - even though he's been in bts for as long as the others, i imagine him of all members appreciates the novelty of being a performer most; while the others always cherish it and adore it (clearly through they way they've spoken about missing touring during the global panorama), i think he still feels butterflies when he really stops to think about the extent of it all. there's a fire that's ignited somewhere in him every single time he stands in front of a crowd of thousands and thousands.
a/n: thank you for all the love on my writings so far, it's so fun to think of things like this and materialise them for others to enjoy! (especially when it's food-related).
stay a while! bts as desserts ; bts as ice cream flavours ; masterlist

Note
“Yoongi’s favorite is Namjoon’s oldest laugh. The laugh that probably burst forth from him when he was a baby. The laugh encoded by his genes. It’s his truest laugh. Not that Namjoon has a fake laugh, really. Honest, and showy, arguably to a fault, with his emotions, Namjoon could never disguise something as wonderful as joy. So, in that vein of honesty, it should be labeled as Namjoon’s completely unencumbered laugh — which, despite every attempt to look away, cover his face, and redirect its energy out of other people’s faces — completely trumpets out of Namjoon’s wide-open mouth in all directions, quickly filling the air with musky, buoyant, balsam notes of cedar and winter berries. It’s full. It echoes. A real chortle. And he chortles when he’s caught off-guard, but pleasantly surprised that he’s also kind of right about something. It pairs exceptionally well with finger pointing, “I knew it!”s, and “I told you so!”s.
There’s also Namjoon’s giggle. Like gears that stick a bit. The sound of a ratchet adjusting a bolt. Metallic. Grinding. Shorter spurts, forced through his pinched throat, hovering teeth, and two-( always two-)dimpled smile, more air and spit than voice. It’s percussive. Quick. Kekeke. It doesn’t last long. All treble and mid-tones, zero bass. It’s meant to dart through conversation, zipping things up to make sure that everyone safely gets to the next topic. His nostrils flare when his giggle comes out. It needs more air to push it through. It pairs well with his look of momentary confusion, the top of the bridge of his nose caving in a bit as it strains under slight worry, until he can see the rest of the conversation through.
There’s even Namjoon’s sheepish, high-pitched, sing-song, tee-hee. Soprano and sweet. Like a moscato. A dessert wine of a laugh, let out at the end of a highly satisfied meal of his favorite things. An inadvertent, shared look with Taehyung when losing his turn at a hand game in the backseat of a long, long drive. A muttered, impatient joke that slips from his Jin-hyung’s lips as they help their Appa check the foundation of the front porch swing every fall. When an annoyed Yoongi stands his ground during weekly department meetings about the disappointing size of the tangerines in the cafeteria. It even has citrus notes itself. It pairs well with his chin rising, a quick, backward thrust of his head, and squinched eyes. Fond. Like when he spots something tiny, adorable, and cute.”
omg.. getting to know joon’s character through yoongi’s eyes… 😖😖😖😖
also i love the 1) reference to the front porch swing, and the implication that mr. kim never fails to make sure that it still stands tall, 2) the implication that yoongi and his tangerines are some of namjoon’s favorite things, 3) the reference to joon’s famous ‘i like quite small and cute things’ line
(btw joon, i happen to be small and cute… call me)
Aww. I was hoping you might like this! I worked really hard on those layers and fell in love with Joon and Yoongi all over again in the process 🥺

‘Jimin,
We just spoke, and you asked if I was happy. I think I am. At least most days.’
Ara typed slowly. Her nails had just been manicured and were longer than she was used to. The sound of acrylics against the keyboard rang through the small hotel room.
‘When I’m with you I can feel really happy. You can be so sweet and loving and I appreciate you always check up on me - to make sure I’m okay. Touring is hard. You know it better than anybody else, and you tried to prepare me for it.’
She gave a soft sigh, knowing no one else would hear. The words were spilling out of her fingers before her brain had time to catch up, though she knew based on experience she would eventually work out what she was trying to say. The room was dark and the white glow from the word document was starting to make her eyes water. The contact lenses had been in all day and were getting on her nerves. Still, she persevered. She could remove them once she had finished.
‘I’ve been asked to renew my contract.’
She stopped typing, heart thudding, and realised she felt scared. Her hand moved automatically to her stomach and she exhaled slowly before taking a deep, drawn out breath. She had been practicing and it had gotten easier. At first she would panic, and find her chest rising and falling like crazy, on the verge of hyperventilation, but soon she learned the trick; it was her stomach which was supposed to be moving, not her chest. Her cheeks were a little warm and she knew it was shame she was feeling, not embarrassment. She hadn’t told him yet, despite having known for over a week. Tentatively, she continued, fingers picking up speed as she became used to the sensation of the new nails.
‘You remember me telling you the first was on a trial basis, based on sales. Well - whatever target they set for us, we must have hit it. Even you have noticed the increase in publicity lately...the T.V appearances. They’ve asked me to film a reality show. I don’t know what they’re expecting.’
Her brow furrowed, wondering...
‘I guess they might have asked you too?’
The laptop stayed silent for a long time and she rested her hands against the small, cheap desk as she gazed at the screen. Her mind suddenly seemed blank and she felt stupid. She would never send the document to Jimin, just as she hadn’t sent the ones she had written before; three month’s worth of unopened, worthless ramblings saved in some obscure folder on her desktop, trapped in the harddrive somewhere between her acoustic recordings and photographs of hairstyles she had saved from Pinterest. She often wondered why she even bothered to save them. Her counsellor had told her, time and time again, that keeping a diary would be helpful. She could record her mood swings and track her periods, along with keeping count of what she ate; wholegrains made her bloated, red food colourings brought out a rash. She sometimes worried she might be lactose intolerant, though could handle it in coffee. That type of thing. She kept it up at first; bashfully bringing the sparkly diary into the small office she visited once a month and reciting what she had written to the man opposite. He would nod sympathetically as she spoke, making a comment from time to time; asking how she felt about what she had put. But the company was paying him to do this; all the girls went, and she sometimes wondered if it was the food diary he was really interested in. If her manager was keeping track, making sure she and the other members were not overdoing it on the full-fat salad dressing and milky lattes.
The diary entries began to dwindle and, not long after her last week-long visit back to Seoul, the meaningless letters on her laptop started. They were usually addressed to Jimin, though she had written several to her father and one to her brother. She wasn’t good with words; she had been told that often enough at school when she would have to read out loud from the book of the week in Literature, or come up with an argument in Business Studies. Her mouth would stumble and she’d turn red, both ashamed and humiliated, until the teacher inevitably took pity on her and told her to sit back down. Writing in private was much easier, especially when she knew no one but her would see.
‘I don’t know how to feel.’
The cursor hovered, blinking at the end of the last line. There was a heavy knock at the door and Ara jumped, hands automatically reaching for the laptop lid, before a familiar female voice called out.
“Ara? Are you coming?”
She quickly gathered herself, clicking the save icon at the top of the screen. The company had arranged a group meal in the restaurant downstairs, though she had forgotten, her mind distracted by more pressing thoughts.
“In a minute…I just need to change my lenses.” She called back, moving her finger against the touchpad as a pop-up appeared. She selected the save button once more, mouth twisting as she read the title in the little window: ‘Untitled #12.’ She wondered if she would ever get around to renaming them properly.

“Your hair has so much texture. I wish mine were thicker.”
Ara murmured in reply before catching the young stylist’s reflection in the mirror and realising how rude she must have sounded. Da-eun had come to the company some months before and was undeniably sweet. Too sweet, Ara sometimes thought, for the business she was in. The other makeup artists and hairdressers loved to keep one ear to the wall, in case there was a chance of promotion or, she rather cynically suspected, a way to increase their pay by selling gossip, but Da-eun didn’t seem like that. At least not yet.
After a moment’s hesitation, Ara smiled into the glass at the figure behind her. “I’m glad I have you to do it for me. The roots are a nightmare!”
Da-eun returned the smile and seemed to relax, but a curious expression still played on her features as she ran the straightener gently across the dyed tips of hair. “Are you tired?”
“I didn’t get much sleep.” Ara confirmed, briefly closing her eyes. Da-eun knew not to press her, but she couldn’t help but worry the younger woman might know more than she was letting on. They had shared hotel rooms in the past and, perhaps it was the stylist's instinct, used to paying close attention to detail, but she always seemed to tell when something was amiss. It was frustrating sometimes.
“I looked at the schedule. You’re not going on set until last so you’ll have time to rest before you go out.” Da-eun murmured helpfully. Ara nodded, relieved. It occurred to her, not for the first time, that Da-eun should quit while she could; while she was still young and hopeful and kind.
“I just don’t have the energy right now…” Ara sighed as she felt her hair being released. The younger woman finished working the ends and unplugged the device from the dressing room table.
“Did you sign the contract yet?”
Her voice was inquisitive and a little optimistic. Ara had never asked, but there was always the chance that Da-eun’s contract was somehow tied to her own; that if the group were to disband, she might lose her job. Ara shook her head lightly.
“No.”
Da-eun raised an eyebrow. “Are you having second thoughts?”
“I just haven’t had time to read it properly.” She said, truthfully. “It’s come around sooner than I thought…”
The stylist moved forward, reaching for the set of hairbrushes on the counter, before selecting the biggest. She teased through the ends of hair with her short fingers before brushing lightly along the bleached roots, smoothing the locks.
“There’s been rumours.” The younger woman said, voice suddenly low as though she were worried about being overheard. A thick curtain set apart the dressing room from the photography studio, but it was always possible someone was listening.
Ara blinked, tensing a little. “What?”
Da-eun smiled gently. “That you’re making a solo album.”
“Oh…” The older woman wasn’t sure what she had expected, but this news took her by surprise. “I wasn’t planning on it.” She shrugged.
“That’s a relief.” Da-eun beamed with a small laugh. “I’m looking forward to going home soon. Aren’t you?”
Ara opened her mouth to speak, not sure what she was going to say, but the curtain beside them drew apart suddenly; startling them both.
“Oh! Costume change…” Da-eun exclaimed, setting down the brush and turning to accommodate the older woman who had just entered. Mimi was a year older than Ara and usually less prone to accidents, but the leather strap on her camisole suggested a wardrobe malfunction which needed attending to at once.
“Sorry to interrupt…” The other woman murmured apologetically, gesturing to Da-eun. “Could you fix this for me?”
“Sure.” She nodded, stepping away.
Ara’s phone had vibrated against her thigh twenty minutes before but she hadn’t wanted to risk opening the text, especially with someone standing over her shoulder. As Da-eun seated Mimi in the rotating chair on the opposite side of the room to take a look at her costume, Ara took the moment to slip the device from her pocket and flick through the recent notifications. Unsurprisingly, it had been Jimin who had texted and she read the sentence a couple of times before returning it to her pocket.
‘Two more weeks. I’m looking forward to seeing you. It’s been too long.’
***
Ara sipped from the glass, the cool water clearing her throat and offering a much needed refreshment from the events of the day. Her voice had become raspy from singing, but luckily she didn’t need it to type.
‘Jimin,
I was cleaning my closet before we went on tour and found the dress I was wearing on the night we met.’
She found herself smiling, a little longingly, at the memory, a strange anecdote coming to mind.
‘It still has a Daiquiri stain on the hem and it’s too big for me now. I don’t know why I’m saving it.’
The thought made her sad, somehow.
‘I wonder if you remember that night as clearly as I do. I didn’t want to leave. I knew you were with someone else, but I didn’t care.’
A deep frown played on her otherwise gentle features.
‘Does that make me a bad person?’
It wasn’t until she read the line back, she realised the thought had never occurred to her before. Not once in five years. She wondered why it suddenly seemed to matter. With a sigh, she continued, committing her trail of thoughts to the page.
‘You told me it was over the next time we met, and I believed you, but part of me wondered if you’d go back to her, once you knew how inexperienced I was. I guess I know how you feel sometimes. The whole thing has taken me by surprise as well. I never felt like anyone would want me.’
Her chest ached as she typed the final sentence; overwhelmed by emotion. It was true that the compliments and flirty glances she often received were met with an automatic but fleeting sense of glee. It felt novel, after so long of feeling like she didn’t deserve it. It sometimes still felt that way; back in the hotel room, after the cheers of the crowd had faded. She had brought the subject up with her company counsellor who had laughed it off, explaining that everyone suffered with imposter syndrome from time to time; she wasn’t the first and wouldn’t be the last. On the matter of flirting, she had kept that one to herself. It felt too personal and she was sure it would come across as vain. Occasionally it was unwarranted; the older mens’ eyes moving down her legs when she took to the stage in a short skirt back in Seoul, or the way she jumped in alarm when someone once slipped their hand down the back of her jeans while she stood tightly packed in an elevator in Osaka. But other times she found her heart racing and stomach churning; not thinking of Jimin until she tucked herself in bed at night. A pretty, tall waitress brushing her hand as she handed over the bill in a Thai restaurant, or the hotel doorman who had helped her move her luggage earlier in the week and smiled kindly at her in the lobby. She knew Jimin, of all people, would understand. She had seen the way he played the audience, like he had a secret to share with them all. Early in their relationship it had made her crazy; the way he seemed to flirt with anyone he came into contact with, often without even realising. But now the tables had turned. He would understand; but she wasn’t sure he would accept it.
She glanced a warily at the shadowy corner of the room where an oversized bouquet of red roses sat on the dresser. They had arrived earlier to the hotel room, along with a postcard sized letter from her manager. He had been unable to make the trip to Taiwan but was waiting for her in Tokyo; the contract was ready, whenever she was ready to sign. The flowers seemed like a bribe; the gesture leaving a sour taste in her mouth. She wondered if the other two girls had received any, or if the privilege was all hers.
The sound of her ringtone, a chirpy, summer tune, alerted her to the fact that an hour had already passed and it was getting late. She quickly swiped the screen and raised it to her ear, not wanting to wake up the neighbours.
“Hello?”
There was a pause before Jimin spoke. “How are you?”
“Good.” She squinted at her watch with a frown. “What time is it there?”
“2am.”
“Shouldn’t you be in bed?” She asked, a little baffled. He hadn’t called her this late in a while.
“I only just got in. There was a company dinner.” He explained. “What are you up to?”
She hesitated. “Just thinking.”
He laughed, softly mocking her. “Just thinking?”
She shook her head, dismissing it. “Oh, it’s nothing…I was drying my hair.” She lied, fingering the ends of the bone-dry locks in an automatic response. “Da-eun dyed the tips purple for the photoshoot.”
“I liked the pink.” He groaned, a little sulkily.
“They thought purple would fit better with the concept photos.” She mumbled deflatedly. “It’s not really my choice.”
“You could change it when you come home.” He said hopefully. She heard the flirtatious grin in his voice and could picture his smile on the other end. “They can’t do anything about it once your contract has ended.”
“Maybe.”
She sounded distant and he noticed the change at once.
“Are you okay?”
She closed her eyes tightly, temporarily blocking out the glare from the laptop screen. “I’m fine. It’s just been a long day.”
“Did you take a look at the brochures I emailed you?”
“I haven’t had time. I’m sure whatever you pick will be fine.” She knew she sounded a little irritated but was unable to mask it. The weight of the day suddenly seemed to dawn on her and she wanted nothing more than to go to bed. The last thing she wanted to talk about was moving house.
“I’d really like you to help.” He argued lightly. “There’s a three bedroom going for sale on the Han River. Yoongi says it’s a good deal.”
Ara sighed. “I’m sure he’s right.”
A pause.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
“I wish you’d stop asking.” She pleaded, feeling on the verge of tears. Jimin seemed to hear the tremor in her voice and thought for a long moment before he spoke, tentatively.
“Maybe you should ask the doctor to change your medication again.”
Ara clutched the phone tightly. “It’s fine.” She tried to smile, hoping it would show in her voice. “I’m feeling much better, just tired.”
“Is that a side effect?”
He sounded concerned and she nodded to herself, though she knew full well she hadn’t taken the time to read the little leaflet properly. “Probably. Maybe I just need some sleep.”
“Okay.” He agreed, though she sensed his trepidation. “I’d better go then.”
He sounded disappointed and Ara felt guilty once more. “I’m sorry Jimin.” She apologised softly. “It really was nice that you called. It’s just these time zones…”
“I understand.”
She wondered if he did. Her eyes felt damp beneath her heavy, false eyelashes, making them itch. “I’ll talk to you soon.”
***
She had forgotten her contact lenses and had to rummage through her Birkin to retrieve her reading glasses. They felt strange on her nose and she wondered how she had ever made it through high school wearing them. At least she had been given a moment’s peace to read through the contract. The office overlooked Ueno Station and the rush of traffic below would be too distracting had someone also been watching her.
‘As a permanent member of the label you should not bring the company into disrepute…’
She read carefully, though the paperwork seemed much larger than the last one she had signed. Some of the phrases looked familiar, such as the declaration of her dedication to being a ‘brand ambassador’, but others were definitely new. Her gaze hovered over one line:
‘...should not jeopardize future success…not limited to personal relationships, controversial thought or opinion including strong ties to political associations, ideologies or groups.’
She expected no less, particularly after Mimi was caught on camera reading a Betty Friedan book. The first part was more complicated and she wondered if Jimin’s management had asked something similar of him.
With a sigh, she continued down the page, skimming the text now but picking up on key words which seemed important, ‘Maintain a visible and transparent social media presence….Agree to the screening and management of said accounts with the view of protecting our artists and their wellbeing.’
By the time she reached the end, it did not seem to matter and there was a strange comfort in realising this. The past three years had been carefully planned, organised, operated; her future written for her from the moment she stepped foot on stage for the first time. The moments of quiet between shows, or during her increasingly short stays back in Seoul, only seemed to complicate things further. Her thoughts were a mess whenever she stopped to breathe for a moment, and maybe it was easier to shut them off altogether; to give over all control and decision-making to someone else than to try and deal with them all herself.
The fountain pen was heavier than she expected as she picked it off the table. It had the company brand embossed on the side in gold-leaf which seemed to reflect the fading light outside as the sun set below the concrete structure of the art museum to the West. Slowly, she signed her name on the final page; the ink blotting a little as she moved aside the bound file and repeated the motion on the second copy. The second attempt was neater as she grew used to the feel of the pen in her hand. There was a knack to it; just like many of the things she had grown to learn in her adult life; underwear should be washed on the delicate cycle, t-shirts should be turned inside out before they are ironed, glasses should not be left in the sink too long, should they smash. She had an assistant to do those things now, and her clothes were mostly dry cleaned these days.
She neatened the piles of paper and put the lid back on the pen, so the ink wouldn’t dry. The first contract had been signed in black Biro, which hadn’t come with such demands. Reaching down, she picked up her black handbag and carefully folded her personal copy, slipping it between her lipstick and glasses case before adding the pen. She had probably paid for it anyway; in her own way. The green light on her phone was blinking and she slid it from the pouch in the lining. The text had arrived while she was in the meeting, which is why she hadn’t heard her phone go off. Her thumb paused over the messenger button for a moment, before she tapped the screen lightly; Jimin’s name and picture coming into view in the little window above the text.
‘One more week! :)’

muse of mine
Tumblr media
pairing: namjoon x y/n
wordcount: 4k
glimpse: namjoon’s always been a little sensitive to feedback whether it’s positive or negative, y/n’s an endearing type of talker, and smuggled snacks to the theater haven’t ever tasted this sweet :D // gif from pinterest!
notes: i kinda switched it up a lil bit and made them more established in their respective fields bc my mind went berserk on this concept!!! also this is mayhaps my oNLY piece that’s just pure fluff
“27? The number? Hmm. That sounds... sexy.” - band!hobi
this been’s bugging you for the past half hour
this whole experience feels oddly familiar
you’ve been in this theater for half an hour so far to watch this play!!
lmao ur gonna admit RIGHT off the bat that theatre’s definitely not it for you
your slight unfondness for it is deeply-rooted back to university and for four years, you’ve consistently taken dumps on theatre kids even if it’s under your breath
alright it’s possible that you don’t hATE the actual people ( only some of them ;D ) themselves but rather this whole type of cockiness and the “i’m a direct descendant of shakespeare himself. trust me bro. on god” energy that they always seem to exhude
but realistically, maybe this deep-rooted hate stemmed from seokjin
he was the guy you’d share the exact same elective class with him for two straight whole semesters and you’ve been seatmates from time to time
homie took foreign language as an elective?????
the language is korean?????????????????
“wait b-but i — aren’t you — n-no but i really???”
that’s what you first sputtered to him in realization when he took his seat beside you
the two of you have only ever shown each other notes bc the other was dozing off and the occasional sharing of gummy bears that’s already pre-opened to not make any noise
but for some reason, it’s only dawned in you why seokjin’s a god in this class and he answers your questions without even looking at his notes by hALFWAY through the whole semester of foreign language
one day, u are gonna find a way to bodyslam yourself and never recover from it ever again
“mhmm. don’t sweat it, sweetheart. i personally think it’s very don quixote of me to y’know, take something as impractical and amusing as this.”
you snort at his choice of words because honestly!! you barely remember don quixote and jin’s use of it as an adjective jigs up a refresher course on your brain
who was he again??
was he the donkey
.. or are you thinking about shrek again because of your film analysis
you sWEAR there was a donkey in that story
it’s good fun to talk with jin even if he keeps sliding bourgeoisie words here and there and you’re a lil confused with all these references that he makes but that’s okay !!!
atleast even him saying it in a long-winded way that he was like someone from the merchant of somewhere, you know now that he pretty-pleased and charmed his way to the registrar for him to take korean as an elective
...
two weeks later, jin sits next to you in class
in ACTUAL non-elective, non-native language he already speaks class
now that you’re squinting a bit more, jin does look a little uh?? different
his hair that was once a hybrid of lavender and peach and pink and then blonde was now wholly black and it’s probably his original hair color because it matches with those eyebrows of his!!!
his combo of a black bomber jacket with a silk button-up underneath honestly SLAPS and it makes you forget how he used to exclusively wear only knitted shirts and argyle-patterned cardigans
you have ur jaw dropped because you totally would’ve fallen for seokjin jAW-FIRST
— if only he didn’t strike you as the brother type when he smacked the back of your head because you were falling asleep on class again and uhhh you mUst be forgetting that the two of you were sitting in front
you had no time to reevaluate whether you should develop a crush for him or not
he’s immediately slapping his hands on his knees, looking at you so intensely before pointing a finger at you with so much conviction, and then scoffing to himself
“switched majors to film. theatre was gonna be the death of me!!! y/n, if you even think about trying to switch to that cheap, amazon-ordered quill and tanning lights for stage lighting major, you’re absolutely dEAD to me-”
you’ve never had a conversation this striking nor long with jin but you genuinely have no complaints at all
seokjin talks pure shit about theatre and theatre junkies and everything in between for the WHOLE day
trails beside you for every single class you had, which was convenient because he can then sweet-talk his way again (if anybody even dared to question him) that he’s just newly-switched
sat with you for lunch and him not eating because he just needS to tell you all about it and you trying not to choke on your pasta as you try to reply to him
followed you back hOME and decided to crash the night there
yeah, that. your unfondness for theatre’s rooted on that one
uh-huh safe to say that you’ve become best friends with jin ever since that day
you’re a sponge for your friends and jin’s the closest one you have, so it was only natural that you soak up his distastes and whatnot
not to brag but aha :D
you add salt to the water while you boil pasta so u may be a little bit of a masterchef or somewhat, no big deal :D
he’s absorbed your fascination for all kinds of lights and fixtures that he has about seven different nightlights in the form of squishies or neon and everything else on his bedside table, in which he turns all of them on at night
fun fact: he’s capable of sleeping in the dark
jin’s the whole reason for your stance on this
he’s adamant about his points and you’ve graduated uni four years ago!!!
which is why you DON’T get why jin would give you a scented black envelope, with “don’t come to this” scribbled in gold at the front, carrying a single ticket to this play with a sticky note saying “don’t watch this at 7 pm, wearing your boss lady year-end award show type of clothes, sitting at the ninth row from the back and two seats from your right.”
because of course!! what the hell did he expect you to do? NOT come to this play at 7 pm wearing your boss lady year-end award show type of clothes then sitting at the ninth row from the back, two seats from the right???
OF COURSE YOU WOULD
your goal in life is to do exactly the opposite of what jin tells you. there’s literally nothing else in life you’d want to fulfill
he’s made it quite easy for you to spite him and although you wouldn’t admit it.,,.,., you may be a little petty ok
he’s the even bigger goof out of the two of you and you can never have the final say!! it’s always him and his wit and yOU being the dunce
it’s a lil sus that jin’s basically ASKING for it with his instructions but whatever
whatever it is, this is finally your chance to enact the final say and you’re gonna pull ALL the stops
all you know about theater-goers is that they dress fancy and wear these mini binoculars and that’s about it
there’s not even one film you know that you see anyone in the audience wearing a worn-in cardigan or even a puffer jacket even if the theater’s mad cold
all the people bring are scarves and shawls???? thee thinnest version of a blanket that won’t warm them up against the frigid airconditioning
that whole dress code sounds ridiculous!!! great please ring out this thousand-dollar dress im gonna wear to the theater thank u
you’re a little worried that you’re not gonna blend into the crowd, but after some digging about the invitation, formal wear is most definitely recommended
it’s an exclusive invite-only play which would be later released to the general public later on so yeah the situation dOES call for a gown thank u very much
also how could you forget that jin explicitly told you not to wear this type of attire
if you’re being humble right now, which you always normally are, even if that jUST sounded boastful talking about how you’re humble all the time —
you do look pretty breath-taking :-)
even when the doors weren’t opened and everyone’s just collectively loitering outside the hall, you’d feel glances at you
the sweet security guard did a double-take at you and mumbled a “very very nice evening to you, miss :D” instead of his normal “enjoy the show!” to the other patrons before you
you’re gonna soak all the silent compliments up and try to remember all of them before writing them on your journal later hee-hee
your midnight blue satin dress that’s floor-length and off-shoulder is dEFINITELY in your favor :D
your dress still glimmers even if the spotlight isn’t on you and you wish you weren’t shy to ask a random stranger to take a picture of you
going on self-timer isn’t ideal either when there’s like a hundred other people in the room
they probably wouldn’t even care if you took a picture of yourself!!! but in your head they probably think that you’re laughable so you’d rather not.. do that
the theater’s dark as hell if that wasn’t established
it is literally pitch black in the room and the ushers at each row holding the flashlights that are meant to guide the patrons aren’t exactly helpful
big kudos to them though,, must take a lot of self-control to not wave their lights like it was a rave :D
a flashlight tHAT bright?? whew pls is this what ships feel in the night
the last time you were in a rave, your thirty minutes of fun was cut short when seokjin immediately got hammered and wouldn’t stop throwing a fit if you didn’t drive him home that instant
his energy seemed to compelling everyone that he’s managed to somehow suck the energy out of a WHOLE rave so you took him home for everyone’s enjoyment :(((( except yours apparently
you’re trying hard to focus on the play that’s happening because for the past twenty minutes, all you’ve done is zone out randomly with ideas all of a sudden
you NEED to listen
....
uh-huh...
UH-HUH......
wait this is actually.. good
you find plays hard to follow and absolutely boring when you don’t immerse yourself in a run-down PRIOR to watching it in order to get
it’s the same analogy as reading the plot of a movie on wikipedia before watching the movie at the cinema.... absolutely useless
it sucks out the fun from something you weren’t supposed to know
watching plays is two hours of you being confused, going home to read the plot and only understand it by tHEN, and never coming to the theater again because you’d waste your money.... watching something cluelessly in the theater..... for a plot you’d grasp at home
but no
because this one
actually this one that you’re watching...
it’s not bad
it’s nice, actually.
within two minutes, you managed to grasp that it’s a story about a never-ending spring between these two lovers
there’s something about the whole setting of it actually that just sucks you in
in some plays, the outfits would seem so forced even in the given context that it reminds you of uh a particular superhero movie
and yes ur aware that stage makeup has to be enhanced so that people all the way to the back row would see
but there’s just something in this scene that’s laid out right-now that actually gets you in awe
it’s of the couple in the back of their pick-up truck and everything about it seems so natural
the background straight up looks like what it’d be if you were to go outside
the guy’s arm around her shoulder seems so natural and in nature that it doesn’t feel like a random cue in the script
the girl twinkles and it doesn’t even feel like a forced type of laugh you’d cue in attempt to warm the audience’s hearts
it’s of a plot where the the guy eventually falls out of love with the girl, while girl gets even more smitten with the guy at the same time
it’s what you take from the past ten minutes that you watch in dead silence, and you don’t even remember in the back of your head that you’re supposed to hate plays
“no way.”
you mumble in disbelief under your breath, head shaking profusely
is your mind playing tricks on you???
you’ve got too used to seokjin sitting beside you that you immediately turn to your right, whispering out your concerns
“is it just me or is she wearing a different shade of pink?”
you don’t even buffer for one second when you ask the stranger beside you
you’re so concerned that you’re looking at him intently while waiting for his answer that could either console or despair you, a random theater-goer that’s too noisy with her questions for her own good
it’s absolutely dARK as fuck in the theater but after awhile your eyes adjusted slightly
and the first thing you look at after the stage is him
him as in the dude in your right that you just asked all of a sudden
you could only see his silhouette and the faintest features of his face along with his well-dressed suit but god
... you are totally not lying if you say that even the barest silhouette of him doesn’t look handsome
you’re expecting him to tell you off for being so noisy but instead, he’s the one who takes you by surprise
“how did you notice that?”
:O
“oh my god!” you exclaim almost too loudly that you yourself even jolts, the guy even making you duck with him slightly for a brief second, “im sO sorry!! am i accidentally spoiling it out for you?”
the guy blinks twice, lips slightly parted before shaking his head no
“no, no... this is the first screening — i mean uh, how would you know that?”
oh boy
you’re adjusting yourself on your seat, bum now warm as you try to explain and not be nervous because what if you just made a wrong assumption about this play and you’re sitting next to a goddamn tHEATRE BUFF???
“well i —uh, uhm what’s your name?” you’re flustered and the FIRST thing you ask is what was his name.,.,,
he seems equally as flustered before he adjusts his glasses, “o-oh uhm i’m namjoon...?”
alright! handsome guy is namjoon!
“you see, namjoon — okay it might just be in my head, but i tHINK it looks deeper with the light somehow. but uh...? the spotlight’s not following her and — is it just me or without the light, her sweater looks brown?”
you’re squinting and if u squint even more, maybe your contacts would just crumple by then
hold on a second
“brown, like — oh my gOD LIKE-”
namjoon puts a hand over his mouth before you could even gasp, hand reaching out for your forearm even before you manage to grasp his shoulder to take it in realization
was it under your nose the whole time??
“... fall.”
:D
holy fucking shit
namjoon looks positively euphoric looking at your face of realization, his once-heavy chest about the whole scene becoming completely devoid of weight
“exactly!!”
his confirmation makes you inwardly squeal, grinning as you point at him and the stage back and forth
“i think this is the first play i’ve become ever interested in watching.”
okay what now
his ears perk up at that, your first sentence that you’ve said after your pink sweater that looks like spring also looks brown like fall in certain scene because of the lighting realization
“it is?”
he takes the chance to look at you as best as he could, trying to play his squinting as cool as he can
namjoon’s far sighted and the glasses he’s wearing are nOT up to date with his current grade bc he’s pretty sure his eyesight’s worsened the past month
he can’t make you out wholly, but he does know that you’re pretty
his eyes don’t linger on you because of the snacks you’re fishing from your purse while you talk that are absolutely illegal in this theater house lmao
but instead, his gaze lingers on you because you’re so pretty
the minimal light that’s bouncing off the stage is enough for him to see a faint outline of your features, highlighting your smiles just right and your dress to glint underneath
“mhmm. i actually hate plays,” suddenly, you’re not scared if namjoon happens to be some sort of theatre buff and you’re offending him because honestly, you feel at ease. “crunch?” you’re holding out the mini bar of chocolate out to him, one he politely declines to because his eyes are bulging out the next second
“you do????”
his genuine reaction indulges you, making you grin ultimately that you put off eating snacks for now to focus on him
“yeah! this is my hate outfit :D”
namjoon giggles as if it’s the funniest thing he’s ever heard
you automatically scoot closer because this time, it’s yOUR turn to shush him
this is totally for just the reason of talking more discreetly and not distracting anyone and is totally not an excuse to be closer to the next guy and touch shoulders with him then get a whiff of cologne because it’s rare for a guy to be handsome and aLSO smell good
your eyes get used to the darkness and eventually, you could make out features of namjoon beside you
he has the prettiest eyes you’ve ever seen
and the way he looks at you makes you feel safe and even your height difference is visible with how probably lonG his torso is compared to yours, his gaze doesn’t make you feel small
namjoon’s still (unsurprisingly) far-sighted and ur so close that he’s a lil cross-eyed
fuck it he’s gonna go to ophthalmologist FIRST thing in the morning tomorrow
“then why are you here?”
“my friend seokjin,” you lean back upon realizing the original reason why you’re here, the situation being so ironic that you puff out a smile
your friend’s named seokjin?
cool :D kim seokjin is namjoon’s of his favorite directors eVER!!
second best for him actually though.,., no one could quite compare to his first
your explanation makes him cackle several times, a swell of pride recounting why you hate (it’ll be past tense probably after this one) theatre
“what about you?”
you turn the question to him, making his dimples disappear effectively that you think you’ve just spooked him
“i uh, well i always wanted to see a story that went like this, so i’m here.”
“you’re a critic? oh god. please don’t tell me you heard all my mumbles.”
no this is even WORSE
namjoon’s not a theatre buff
HE’S A CRITIC????????????
god im coming up
“don’t worry, i also think that the drapings must probably be dirty.”
he breaks out into a smile recounting how you were talking to yourself earlier, a snort escaping him involuntarily
“RIGHT??? it’s like how do you even clean them?? do they fit in washing machines or-”
my god he’s such a nice guy!!!
in fact, he’s everything you want in a guy
you’ve went through atleast twelve facets of emotions for the past hour and you’re not even dating!!!!!!!
“my thoughts exactly!! and if it’s by hand, how do you even scrub the entirety of it?? or wring the water out??”
namjoon KNOWS exactly what’s up :’)
“is there even a clothesline that’d bEAR the weight??”
the two of you are so happy that you just look at each other laughing, a moment in time before namjoon nudges you to lean back because the ending’s happening
you don’t even question him how he’d know that it’s the ending and not just another opening to a new scene, just listening to him
you’re so happy
the play made you happy but namjoon made you even happier :-)
“if you are a critic, you should probably open up your review with this chatty play-hating girl beside you, then at the end, close it off with how she loves it.”
it’s the parting conversation as you realize and holy fuck you are nOT ready for it
you r gonna drag this out for as long as you could <3
......
and namjoon wants in too <3
“noted. if i was a playwright, i’d even make you the lead. which detail should i include? offering me wrapper-covered rice crispy snacks, or asking how you’d watch it while going thru the bathroom?”
this feels so natural
as natural as the couple in the play you’ve just finished watching :))
“you’re hilarious,” you’re not even the slightest bit annoyed and your restrained smile tells him all about it
yea you may have brought in snacks illegally but you aRE gathering your trash up as you’re a decent human being
namjoon wishes you’d pick up after yourself slowly, standing up from his seat as he has the plan of picking up trash that isn’t even his
“what name should i put then?”
you’re silent and oh god he thinks you found his company stupid and would definitely not give him your name
you’re not ignoring him though!!!
his words are still stuck in your head, realizing it lately with his “which detail should i include?”
“me wanting to turn this into a film, actually.”
you test the words out on your tongue, nodding to yourself after a few seconds that you seem so sure of it
“yeah. i wanna make it into a film.”
the lights turn on after being dim for so long, namjoon’s eyes going wide trying to digest what you’ve just said
“w-what?
.....
no fucking way
HOLY FUCKING SHIT SWFRWFBWRHGBRBVWRV SWBHJSDB SHJAVBHGJDS BWHRGHBSVWBGRH
namjoon’s malfunctioning as he’s looking at you from eye to eye, bottom lip trembling while he’s so keen at pointing at you
“y-you’re miss y/n!!”
....
right
oH RIGHT
he’s a fan of yours??
namjoon’s fanning his face because he’s about to literally burst into tears
how could he nOT???
how could he not be emotional when all along, he’s been talking to his number one favorite director????
you and your films are the absolute gems of his life namjoon’s not even kidding
your films were world-renowned for being so natural and sentimental without loading too much into it!!!! you’re known for being so humble through the multiple back-to-back awards and praise you get!!!!
he cannot calm the fUCK down when you’re rubbing circles on his back
“you w-want to turn my play into a film?”
oh my gOD
you’re fumbling for the envelope and it’s only nOW that you realize that it’s not from seokjin in the first place
spring day a play by kim namjoon an invite for director y/n y/l/n
“it’s you!!!!”
“no it’s YOU!!”
jin’s plan worked alright :D
he’s just FOUR rows behind you lmao
it was just two weeks ago when yoongi, the executive producer of his film that he was directing, let it slip that he was co-financing a play
he met yoongi some semesters later after he became close with you, and he’s aLSO converted yoongi into hating theatre then he fit right in to your little posse of theatre kid-hating film students
that gave jin the laugh of his laugh and yoongi was not joking at all
“no, no. i’m telling you man. it’s different! i even have the script that i’ll let you read.”
and holy shit it IS different
if you see a couple tears on the last seven pages of yoongi’s copy of spring day’s script then mind yo oWN fucking business
then two weeks later, here he is :D
jin managed to also convert you to love theatre even IF it is namjoon’s play that did all the work
( also coincidentally found you a future boyfriend because he’s tired of seeing you alone and the closest you’d get to having someone is projecting your yearning into writing the scripts for the films you’d make )
he’s also secretly co-financed the whole play along with yoongi and he’ll drop that bomb later on lmao
“and that must mean i looked like a total FOOL beside you oh my god im so sorry!!”
namjoon panics at that, about to cry when another realization hits him when he’s about to put his head on his hands
“then that means the friend who gave you the ticket was-”
SEOKJIN VBFHSBVHSFBVSFHDVBSJFV SFJVJSFVSJVSSV SSV V FS FSV SFBVRBVRSVSWVGU
he cries to your shoulder and you never expected to be hugging and consoling someone you’ve just met two hours ago, a more than fond smile on your face he takes advantage of when he sneaks in the chance to ask you
“do you mean that?”
“now why would i lie to the playwright who’s been listening to me talk shit, then theorizing, then crying for the past hour?”
it’s true though
namjoon’s seen it all
he’s still handsome as ever even when he sniffles, his dimples on display when you return his question
“now did you mean it? writing me into your play?”
why are you even ASKING
:D
he’s the biggest fan of u
namjoon’s made notes of your work, dedicated scripts to your movies, and he’s thinking about how it’s not yet hitting you how your whole epiphany about the pink sweater turning brown on his play,,, was entirely inspired from you and your affinity for lighting in your films
he thinks it’s still a little early to kiss you on the cheek even if you’ve already hugged, instead settling on pinching your cheek with satisfaction present in all corners
“you’ve always been my muse.”

things run bts has taught me about bts
................................ ~a ramble~ ..............................
Tumblr media
Jin is great at everything (and I mean EVERYTHING from acting to cooking to escape rooms), especially random odd games like tearing a bag of popcorn with his toes. He usually comes out on top but also somehow ends up doing the penalties anyway. All this is to say, Jin is a variety show icon and y’all are sleeping on him.
Tumblr media
Yoongi is a dignified cheater who will try his absolute best to win and then play it off like he wasn’t trying that hard. He’s also an amazing mc who pulls off the dorkiest of costumes (thank you run bts staff). Lastly, it’s not a proper run bts episode if Yoongi doesn’t blame capitalism and/or the staff.
Tumblr media
Hobi gets the penalty 97.7% of the time which is big sad energy because he really does try his best. Run bts is just baby Hobi being forced to do things he doesn’t want to (i.e. scary VR games, rollercoasters, & bungee jumping). He is also the best walking sound effect generator out there so anyone who says he’s “annoying” can ~kindly~ go step on a lego.
Tumblr media
Joonie is a smiley baby who will fight you if need be. He doesn’t care too much about winning or losing, he’s just there for the ride. Namjoon THRIVES in games that require critical thinking. He also gets really heated up during debates and has very strong feelings about mint chocolate (refer to run bts ep 63).
Tumblr media
Jimin is a WHINY BABY who throws tantrums and tries to get away with things using his cuteness (at least he’s self aware). This tactic of whining and cute talking usually works with the staff so pop off I guess. Jimin is also a confused puppykitty most of the time and usually tries to form an alliance with another member.
Tumblr media
Taehyung is willing to betray a decade of friendship, trust, and memories for the title/prize of a winner. You absolutely can not trust this man in an alliance because he will betray you if he gets a better offer. HOWEVER he puts his all into every episode and you can tell by the detail he puts into each of these activities, so if I’m being honest he can do no wrong.
Tumblr media
Jungkook is in fact not good at everything but this is only because he doesn’t care about the activity (excluding adrenaline fueling activities or activities involving animals) as much as he cares about food which he somehow acquires throughout the episode. He rarely ever ends up doing penalties tho bc he’s still Jeon Jungkook aka hwanggeum maknae.
Tumblr media
in conclusion run bts taught me that bts are professional scammers who are willing to dEsTrOY each other for a ramen cooker and gift cards that they absolutely do not need.

Codename: Another Shot At Love Pt. 2
Fall After Graduation
It had been a rude awakening when Euna realized Seokjin wasn’t in love with her and didn’t love her. She had been so sure he did that she hadn’t questioned why he never said it, or why she never let those three words slip from her lips. When Jin had broken up with her, devastating the image of their life she had created, she swore she would be more careful. She swore this time, with Yoongi, there would be no Pinterest boards, no texting friends, no romanticizing their relationship by thinking he might be the one, no playlists in his honor. This time, she wouldn’t get her heartbroken.
Yoongi was everything Seokjin wasn’t and everything he swore he would be. He listened, he cared, he showed up when he said he would and when Euna said she loved him, he didn’t recoil. He leaned in almost as hard as she did, throwing caution to the wind.
“Do you ever think of getting married?” Euna asked in mid-October, head resting against Yoongi’s bare chest as they snuggled under the blankets of her bed. An old episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race starting in the background, casting a pink and bright light into the darkness of Euna’s bedroom.
“Uh, no not really,” Yoongi responded. “Why do you?”
“Yeah, I think it might be nice, to someday get married, have a family,” Euna snuggled closer to Yoongi, ear pressed against his heart. He inhaled slowly, monitoring the rhythm.
“Maybe, I don’t know,” Yoongi said again.
“Mm, my parents are looking forward to meeting you on Sunday,” Euna’s delicate reminder sent Yoongi’s mind into overdrive.
“Yeah, it’ll be great,” He answered.
“My siblings are very excited; they’ve never met a boyfriend of mine.”
“Can we turn this off? I’m getting tired.” Yoongi cut the conversation short, the list of things he had to do before Sunday ran through his mind unperturbed.
“Yeah, of course,” Euna sat up and looked at him, his words had hinted at distress, but his eyes were calm.
Leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips, Yoongi muttered, “Goodnight,”
“Goodnight, love you,” Euna said. Yoongi only nodded before laying down and closing his eyes. He was fucked.
~~~~~
         “She wants to marry you?” Seokjin nearly yelled as he looked over parts of the transcripts from last night.
         “No, she wants to get married, to someone, and have kids,” Yoongi corrected.
         “How many months has it been?” Hoseok asked, eyes moving from his documents.
         “Four,” Seokjin and Yoongi said at the same time.
         “You have to make it a few more months,” Namjoon reminded him.
         “She’s planning a wedding!” Yoongi yelled.
         “Have you bugged her computer?” Namjoon asked.
         “Yes, she has several Pinterest boards, but they have been inactive for nearly two years,” Yoongi had deep dived her accounts, scoured them for any sign of mistrust or malfeasance, all he’d found was Pinterest boards dedicated to the life she thought she was building, or could be building, with Seokjin. It was all wishful thinking, honest to god hope that Cupid had placed in their relationship. Yoongi felt remorseful that his intentions weren’t pure, all she wanted was to find love that was different from what her family had given her. He couldn’t fault her for that desire.
         “Okay, so she’s not planning your wedding yet, which is fine. You’re not going to marry her.” Hoseok was busy updating Yoongi’s driver’s license, the fake was near expiration and the mandates had changed.
         “How ethical is it to continue a relationship when you’re not in love, and don’t want to be with that person?” Seokjin looked from Yoongi to Namjoon, hoping one of them would have an answer.
         “Cupid isn’t a person, she’s part of an organization that is ruining the globe,” Yoongi snapped.
         Stepping in before the men could continue sparring, Namjoon spoke, “We have a plan, Yoongi just has to stick with it.”
         “Four more months?” Yoongi asked.
         “Give or take,” Namjoon said.
         “Fine, but if it gets any fucking weirder –
         “You can start becoming distant January 1, that’s the earliest phase 3 can be enacted,”
         “Fine,” Yoongi grit his teeth.
         “You’re meeting the family next week, are you ready?”
         “That also seems a bit much, right?” Seokjin asked.
         “Worldwide, shut up.” Yoongi wasn’t all bite, but when it came to work, there was no space for his gummy smile and penchant for random dancing.
         “Yoongi,” Namjoon warned.
         “I know the plan. Dinner, ask leading questions, hint at CEO, get a read on how Cuttlefish is doing, snoop,” Recited Yoongi, “And it wasn’t me who suggested the dinner, it was Cupid.”
         Seokjin nods, knowing he overstepped his bounds. Trust Yoongi, Namjoon’s voice rung in his ears. Trust Yoongi.
         “We’ve got Mochi set to go?” Namjoon asked Yoongi.
         “Yeah, he’s got a trainee running security while he’s with his mark,” Yoongi answered, still seething at Jin.
         “Where do these trainees come from?” Seokjin asked.
         “Did you wake up today and decide you wanted to be deeply annoying?” Yoongi’s eyes narrowed at Jin, daggers glaring into his hyung. “Because you’re fucking excelling.”
         “Yoongi, go to your office and prepare,” Namjoon snapped, tired of the bad attitude Yoongi had been sporting since Euna brought up marriage. “If you’re going to be a dick, be a dick alone.”
         “Fine,” Yoongi huffed.
         Namjoon turned his attention from Yoongi to Seokjin. “Yoongi isn’t always-
         “It’s been over a year, he still doesn’t like me,” Jin interrupted. “I’ve done exactly what he’s asked me, brought him coffee, tried to become his friend, and he continues to look at me as if I’m Dick Cheney, circa 2006.”
         “It’s not a you-thing, Jin,” Namjoon took his glasses off before placing his hands over his face. “Yoongi doesn’t like change. He’s usually easy going, and in his heart, he’s very soft and welcoming. But you’re the eldest now, you bring a new energy that in whatever way, plays up his, and brings out Hoseok. He wants to be your friend, he does, but he has a hard time crossing the line between colleagues and friends who hang out in their free time. He’s been through a lot, and this relationship with Cupid is bringing up every emotion he thought he’d worked through. He’s been working his ass off for four years on this case and wasn’t in any place to be in a relationship this intense. Yoongi doesn’t get close to people until they prove themselves to him. Don’t ask me what the test is, I don’t know, but please, be understanding and patient. He’ll come around.”
         “If you say so,” Seokjin mumbled. Gathering his things, he stood to walk towards his office. Yoongi watched as he passed, knowing full well he owed Jin an apology.
         “You wanna get a beer after work?” Yoongi had followed Jin to his office and stood in the door frame, head covered in a black beanie, matching his black v-neck and dark wash jeans. He looked like he was ready to begin hibernating.
         “You’re speaking to me?” Jin didn’t look up from his monitor, his college behavior, one that Euna had worked so hard to get rid of, had come back in full force.
         “Yeah, and I’m sorry I was a dick. You wanna get a beer after work?”
         “Your apology sucks, but sure,” Jin responded.
         “Cool, wheels up at 7,” Yoongi shuffled back to his office, glancing at Namjoon through the glass and rolling his eyes at the smirk on his boss’ face.
~~~~~
The bar wasn’t crowded when Seokjin and Yoongi walked in, and finding a table easily lent itself to an awkward few minutes waiting for the server. Yoongi moved through the space with ease, a telltale sign he’d been there before. In his year working with OT7, Jin had learned a lot about how to be perceptive and cunning, how to notice things he had once overlooked. He’d taken a page from Henry Spencer’s book, and mindlessly counted the hats in the room. It was too easy, with ten people in the bar, the only hat belonged to Yoongi.
“Look, I don’t do well with change. I’m sure Namjoon has told you as much,” Yoongi started.
         “Yeah, he did.”
“I have very few friends, I’m not great at relationships of any kind,” Yoongi explained. “I’ve never, I’m not good at it.”
“Do you want to be?” Seokjin asked.
“Yeah, I’ve been trying. Joonie and Hobi have been great.”
         “Joonie?” Seokjin giggled.
“Yeah, when he lets you into his inner circle, you can call him Joonie,” Yoongi laughed. “I’m sure he’ll like, take you to a Bonsai garden and explain his life too,”
         “Why are you the first?”
“I’m the most guarded, and the eldest until you,” Yoongi sipped his beer.
“So how exactly did you –
“You don’t join our group or go looking for us. We find you,”
“Like how you found me?” Jin asked.
“Like how they found all of us, except Joon. But that’s his story to tell.”
         “When did they find you?”
“I started training when I was 17, but before that I was already coding,” Yoongi told him. “They showed up at my house, Namjoon in tow.”
         “Namjoon was there?”
“He was so small, he looked so scared. He’s only a year younger than me but I could tell he’d seen some shit. Anyway, they talked to my parents who decided I could forgo my basic, subpar high school experience and work full time. Hobi joined shortly after and the three of us became brothers. They’ve been my best friends for what feels like decades. I’d bleed for them, and they’d do the same for me, no questions asked.” Yoongi told him.
Jin nodded, he’d sensed the impenetrable bond between the men when he’d first arrived. Yoongi was right, Hobi and Namjoon had wanted to take him out, have a heart to heart, a melding of the minds, but Yoongi, as the eldest, was the first to follow through.
Sipping his beer, Seokjin spoke, “Have you always been on security?”
         “Yes,” Yoongi answered.
“How did they find you?” It was a question he’d been wanting to ask for over a year, how did we all end up here, and who do we work for?
Smirking, Yoongi answered with a shrug of his shoulders. “Allegedly I broke into too many government agencies across the globe,”
“What?” The shock on his face couldn’t be erased.
         Shrugging again, “Allegedly,”
“Allegedly, you figured out how to de-crypt and force your way into government systems to do what? Steal information?” Seokjin’s voice was a hushed whisper, eyes never leaving Yoongi’s but conscious of the loitering individuals around them.
“Allegedly, it was just for fun,” Yoongi smiled as he laughed, gums on display, his antics proving to be humorous all these years later.
         “Allegedly, how old were you?”
“Oh, like 16,” Yoongi sipped his beer.
         “16?”
“They catch us young,” He answered.
Pushing his way through his concern, Seokjin asked, “Which country was the easiest?”
“Anyone in South America, Europe, US and Canada were allegedly, child’s play,”
Seokjin sat with that for a moment, thinking through the countries and continents left. “Asia the hardest?”
“Asia, Russia, some African countries, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, very difficult, but allegedly, not impossible.” Yoongi wasn’t laughing anymore, a smirk replaced his joyous grin.
“You’re a badass,” Seokjin spoke without thinking.
         “Yes,”
“Do you like work?” Jin questioned.
“I love it. Do you like it?”
“I don’t know yet,” He shrugged.
“Mm, you hate that I’m dating Cupid,” Yoongi offered.
Pausing to acknowledge the feeling in his chest, he took a beat before answering. “I’m not jealous, I just, I wish we had had a better ending. It feels so unresolved, and tenuous. She deserved more than what I could give her.”
         “Yeah, but that’s the job,”
“I don’t have to like it just because that’s the job,” Jin rolled his eyes.
“True, but you have to get over it.”
“Why did the marriage talk really freak you out?”
“I have a fucking heart, Jin,” Yoongi exhaled slowly, “Just because it isn’t in this relationship, doesn’t mean I want to break hers. Now I have to deceive her? That’s fucking brutal, she’s barely recovered from you.”
“Do you have feelings for her?” Jin wanted to know.
         “No,”
         “No?”
“Cupid is nice, but, honestly, I threw a fit when Joon brought me the plan.”
“He didn’t come up with the plan?”
“What you have to understand,” Yoongi lowered his voice, “is that there’s always someone to answer to. Always.”
“You don’t want to get married?” said Jin.
“I might, someday, but like I said, I’m not good with relationships,” Yoongi was nothing but truthful and sincere.
“That’s what you have to remember when you have dinner with the Valentine’s,” Seokjin said absentmindedly. “They’re all so desperate to be loved, that every relationship they’re in becomes overwhelmed by their desire to keep it afloat. Their worst relationships, though, without a doubt, are the ones they have with each other.”

I made BTS Edits...on PicsArt
Just recently I signed up for PicsArt a website where you can edit any images you want, make a book cover for Wattpad, or make edits for school (for presentations to make your schoolwork look amazing and not boring). Just a couple of days ago I got bored and I was on Pinterest when I saw amazing BTS fanarts and edits and I was like “Man I wish I can be talented as these people who made these amazing BTS artworks” even though I am talented on a regular sketching book with sketching pencils I never really tried out making artworks online and so I opened up PicsArt and I was like ‘What if I created my own edits?’ so I gave it a shot and here is what I made, BTS as 7 Elements of Life
DO NOT REPOST AND DO NOT STEAL  1. Jungkook as Ice/Water:
Tumblr media
(the picture doesn’t belong to me I found it on pinterest and did the editing) This edit ended up becoming my Wattpad pfp (for those who don’t follow me on Wattpad)
Along with 2 more Jungkook edits:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Decided to recreate Butterfly Jungkook cause it looked amazing)
2. Jimin as Fire
Tumblr media
This was actually requested by a friend of mine who became a BTS fan and Jimin became her bias. After making Jimin I was impressed by the work I made in Picsart and I wanted to do more so I made more. I made the rest of BTS boys as the Elements of Life.
I know some of the elements I edit in with the boys doesn’t go according to their personality like water should've been Jimin and Fire should've been Suga but I decided to switch things up only thing I haven’t change for Elements and Personality is Light/Jhope.
3. Jhope as Light/Wind
Tumblr media
No matter what edit or whatever I do with Jhope he will always be the Light a sunshine. I was genuinely impressed by the way I made the sunlight aura on Jhope’s face because it is true the moment you see his face and his smile you see the light aura coming off of him. No matter what he is Element Light.
4. Jin as Time
Tumblr media
Idk why but for some reason I see Jin as a magical person almost like Doctor Strange I don’t know I get that type of vibe off of him but here we have Jin as element Time which I didn’t know was an element in the first place but I ain’t complaining. And of course I went out on Pinterest to find the hottest picture of Kim Seokjin and I did. You have no idea how many times I tried not to drool over this hot Jin pic...
Alright moving on
5. Suga as Nature/Earth
Tumblr media
I was surprise to see a pic of Suga in middle of Nature. I was genuinely shocked to see that Suga loves nature...I am mostly shocked that our Agust D loves anything...besides Fire. I think this edit is the most cutest thing I could ever make he has wonder in his eyes so I was like what would grab my followers on Tumblr (who are BTS fans as well) attention to Suga, oh edit a green butterfly on his nose and have other butterflies fly around him while there are leaves around him. I think this was cute I was impressed.
6. Namjoon as Thunder
Tumblr media
This is my mom’s favorite out of all of the edits I made. Her bias is Namjoon and ONCE AGAIN for some odd reason I see Namjoon as Lightning...or Thunder...GOD OF THUNDER THE MIGHTY THOR so Jin as Doctor Strange and Namjoon as Thor. Well given how clumsy both Namjoon and Thor are I think that is why I see Namjoon as Thor. Once again I went out on Pinterest to find me the hottest pic of Namjoon not just for me but for my mom...ahem. This edit was a little bit challenging as you can see I tried to make it more realistic than anything and I think I nailed it...hopefully.
Last but not least
7. Taehyung (V) as Force/energy
Tumblr media
I have been trying to get thoughts on this edit from my friends but...they won’t tell me anything. My girlfriend thinks it looks good...but I just don’t know if it needs improvements. I mean I kind of like it I like how I added the energy balls on his hands and have his kick be another force he’s sending out. I don’t want to keep editing it because I am afraid of ruining it. so I am leaving the edit alone.  Well that is all of the edits I made I can make more edits if you guys want to send me requests. I hope you all like it :) PicsArt is really good I love it so much.

Interview
Interviewer: I am here with the biggest K-Pop boy band in the world, BTS! And with their friend, Navya!
*everyone claps*
Interviewer: Thank you guys so much for coming.
RM: Of course.
Interviewer: Have a seat.
*everyone sits on the couch*
Me: Oh, there’s no more space for Jin.
Jin: Oh, that’s okay. I’ll just squeeze next to Navya.
*sits down next to me*
*everyone laughs*
Interviewer: Welcome, guys. So, what’s it like being popular all over the world with thousands of fans?
RM: It’s really amazing. ARMY is so nice and sweet to us and they’re always supporting us.
V: We want ARMY to be happy through our music, and we will be there for you, with love.
Interviewer: ARMY is very lucky to have you guys. You make such amazing music. There’s so much positivity that you guys and ARMY bring to the world. Why is this message important to you?
Jin: It’s all because of ARMYs. They always give us positive energies.
Jungkook: ARMY! Thank you for all the love. We can’t wait to surprise ARMY with a great show and let’s get it!
Interviewer: How do you feel being on stage and performing at the AMA’s?
RM: Everything is surreal. *laughs*
Interviewer: The AMA's is well known as the most American and as one of the major awards along with Grammys and the Billboard. A singer having the presence and the invitation to perform at the AMA must be meaningful. I am sure there’s something more to it than “feeling unreal.” What else can you share with us?
J-Hope: I’ve grown up watching the AMA's on television. To be able to perform at the AMA's, especially in front of all our fans here, it definitely was an unbelievable experience. It was a great honor to be here and it’ll be great to have another chance to perform here at the AMA's, in front of our fans. I’d like to thank our fans again for their continuous love and support.
RM: As you mentioned, AMA's is the most American, yet one of the major awards. I also agree that AMA has a great reputation. We definitely felt throughout the process that AMA has put a great thought and consideration in inviting us to perform on stage, not just introducing as "some strange kids from Asia". AMA made us feel like we were part of the award ceremony in many ways, such as having the The Chainsmokers introduce us and in terms of the order of performances. We were the 16th out of the 17 performers, performing right before Diana Ross, who won AMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Many details that were prepared by the AMA's made us feel welcomed and we really felt that they prepared a lot for us, taking the time in getting to know us, as well as showing respect to us as artists.
Interviewer: Starting with the Billboard Award in May and now your presence at the AMA's show that BTS suddenly is on a continuous rise. How do you feel?
Jin: We only got our first big win at the Mnet Asian Music Award in Korea last year. We all hugged and cried. I still cannot believe one year has not yet passed since that day. Over the year, we won a Billboard award and performed on the AMA stage. We debuted four years ago, but so much has happened during these years. Events like winning the Billboard award and performing at the AMA's happened so fast.
RM: Twitter is our main social media platform and it is very easy for us to use. We had five million followers six months ago, but now we have over ten million followers. (BTS has around ten point three million followers, which is the greatest number of followers in Twitter's Korea accounts). We have used social media for five years, and suddenly the followers doubled within the span of less than six months. Also, the 'Billboard Hot 100 chart' is the chart that every artists in the world dreams of entering. (BTS's song DNA, released in September as title track of the new album, entered the chart on no. 85. It is the second time a Korean song entered the chart after Psy's Gangnam Style). To be able to debut on the AMA's is an honor that is totally surreal and all of this is 100% due to our fans who made it possible. We have never seen a such fandom before. *laughs*
Interviewer: BTS has a lot of characteristics. One of them is that you pick a topic and create a series off of the topic such as 'School Trilogy' or the 'Youth Series'. In the process, the growing story of each BTS member becomes the core content. This correlates into the meaning that BTS's own growth is equivalent to BTS's musical content. Do you think that these stories matches the ones of your real life? And if yes, how much do they match up with your real life?
Suga: I cannot say that our lyrics are 100% based on our experiences. But our experiences are very well-embedded in the songs. We try to tell our generation's story through our songs.
RM: Our debut song was 'No More Dream'. If you listen that song, you realize the lyric "Hey, what is your dream?" keeps repeating through-out the song. At that time, my friends were about twenty years old and most of my friends were ones with no dreams. I was very angry and frustrated to see these friends because I just could not understand why they didn’t have any dreams. I tried to convey my emotion through the lyrics. In that way, our lyrics tell the life story of teenagers and now my peers. It makes them easy to listen and relate to. The song 'Danger' also expresses such hardships. However, when we released song 'I Need You', we got so many new fans. It seems they understood title of the song. *laughs*
Interviewer: Some people said that using social media is one of the reasons why you have succeeded. I wonder, what was your plan when you started making video content like the Bangtan Bombs?
Jin: With the Bangtan Bombs we take videos of our lives and upload them without any editing. When we shoot the videos, we try to do funny things. But we don't edit anything. Uploading videos weekly is really hard to do, so we try to keep the videos simple. But it seems that our fans really enjoy these uploads from our everyday life.
Suga: In the past, I did not like social media very much. When I started doing social media, I was afraid of the risks. But in doing it, I think that the most important thing is to show my natural self to the fans. Cool, cute and handsome looks can be seen on TV or other media, but the fans are curious about the rest. The Bangtan Bombs are closely related to our daily life and shows what's happening behind the surface. We really have befriended social media. We don't look at it like work at all. We just upload whenever we want. And the upload cycle is fast. Maybe this is why fans like our social media accounts.
Jimin: Fans say that we use social media a lot, but in fact, since we all use one account it seems like we use it more often. *laughs* This is one of the advantages of using one account all together.
Suga: If we use one account, we can be seen as a team so many more times over.
RM: These days, all of us do social media a lot. I think it is natural for us to do it, not as work but because we want to upload for our fans.
V: We have uploaded over one million posts on Twitter since our debut. So far, we have released over one hundred songs. Sometimes I look at our songs and melodies and feel regretful and ashamed. But at the time we did them, I sang them sincerely so I hope it was good enough.
Interviewer: Navya, do you have any social media?
Me: Yes, I do. I have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc. I have a lot of social media. I have so many people following me on Instagram. Whenever I post a photo of me or with the other members, I get so many comments. *laughs*
Interviewer: *laughs* Really? What kind of comments?
Me: I get so many saying “So pretty!” or “Love you!” or just emojis. *laughs*
Interviewer: What’s the most common comment you get?
Me: Um...it’s probably “You are so lucky!” or “I wish I was with them!” or “I wanna take a selfie with BTS!” *laughs*
*everyone laughs*
Interviewer: Wow, I guess you are really lucky to be living with BTS! All those fans out there are jealous of you!
Me: I guess I’m lucky, aren’t I? I’m famous all over the world! *laughs*
Interviewer: Yes, you are. So, what are the goals of each member?
Jin: I want to be happy. I do not have a huge life goal. I just wish that I can laugh and have a happy life like I do now.
Me: I want to make everyone happy. I want to laugh and have fun with everyone.
Jimin: I want to do well at what I am doing right now. I want to hear the fans say "you are doing well". My wish is that when I've grown up and look back at myself, I will be able to think I was really cool back then.
J-Hope: I want to release my mixtape. I'm ready now. I want to release it as soon as possible. It's not just a short mixtape, but on the level of a full album. After seeing RM and Suga release their mixtapes, I felt that I really wanted to make music with my own colors. I also want to study languages so that I can communicate with American and other foreign fans.
Jungkook: I want to do many things during this and next year. I want to write songs, improve my dancing and speak foreign languages well. The goal is not to be lazy, but to become a practitioner.
V: I want to add various charms and improve in more fields as an actor. I want to continue to study photography and take better pictures. As a singer, I want to become a more wonderful person as a member of BTS. I want to be someone that is doing a lot in many fields.
Suga: The final goal is that when the day comes for me to quit doing music, I want to leave when people still applaud. But I really hope that the departure will happen gradually. I've been playing music for quite some time now, but I hope I will get to do it far longer than the time I've been doing it so far. I do not know if it will be possible in reality, but I think that I want to leave music at a time when I'm still on top.
RM: Loving myself is my dream, but I don't know if I will achieve it before I die. *laughs*
Interviewer: Those are some good goals. Now I want to know: Do you guys date?
RM: We just wanna focus on our careers right now. We don’t usually have time to find that special someone. *laughs*
Me: I’ve always wondered what it’s like to date because when I was growing up, I wasn’t allowed to date. I would *laughs* always see everyone holding hands at school and I would get jealous, to be honest. *laughs*
Interviewer: Well, you have multiple choices right here in this room, so take your pick! *laughs*
*everyone laughs*
Me: I don’t know about that. Everyone is busy with everything, so I’m gonna wait for sometime. I don’t want to stress anyone out.
Interviewer: Yeah, being an idol is hard. Okay, my next question is what’s your ideal type of girl or guy?
RM: A sexy girl who can converse with me for a long time with a nice voice, is appropriately tall, has pale skin, feminine Girl, looks good in a white T-shirt + Jeans + Red Converse High. Someone sexy, even to a brain. Someone that are thoughtful and confident.
Jin: Someone who's fun to be around. A soft-hearted girl who'd wear elegant make-up. A girl whose looks and personality is similar to that of a puppy, whose good at cooking, kind and takes good care of me. I want her to laugh at my jokes and play Mario games with me.
*everyone laughs*
Suga: A girl who has a peaceful manner, but also has a great sense of humor. I don’t laugh very much, so I think that she can make me laugh on a regular basis is very appealing to me.
J-Hope: I like a girl that wears feminine clothes but not too fancy because I think  most important thing is to wear clothes that suit your body. I like girls that are interested in books, good at not only taking care of me but also others, besides I would like to have a girl that is very supportive of me.
Jimin: I want a girl who truly loves me and gives me all the love I want. She has to be smaller than me and is caring, cute, loves sharing, and has a big heart. She has to love to cuddle, too.
V: I want a girlfriend who’s kind and compassionate. I want her to be healthy mentally. Even better if she talks nicely too. It doesn’t matter if she’s not beautiful. But everyone says let’s wait and see how my future girlfriend looks like, I’m curious too.
Jungkook: I like a girl who’s intelligent, talented, and competitive. I want her to be older than me and I want her to be a gamer girl to impress me with her talents and not be afraid to show off her strong points.
Me: I like a guy who’s sweet to my friends and gives me lots of love and cuddles. I want him to teach me how to cook something cause I don’t know how to cook a proper meal. *laughs* I want him to play Mario video games with me and make jokes to make me laugh. He has to be cute and handsome, too.
Interviewer: Hey, that sounds like Jin! Looks like we got a match, everyone!
*everyone laughs*
Me: I don’t think we’re ready for that yet.
Interviewer: Do the members always tease you?
Me: Oh my god, yes they do! Especially about Jin. Whenever Jin and I are together, they say stuff like “You both look like a couple’ or “You two should date since you both hang out so much.”
Jin: Even for me, too! I always get mad at them and have to scold them!
RM: It’s true. He actually gets mad at us.
Suga: Jin always talks fast whenever he’s mad at us about something.
Me: Yeah, that happens a lot. I always crack up laughing. We all do, in fact.
Interviewer: Really? It must be very embarrassing.
Me: Yes, it is very embarrassing. Every time they do something like this, me and Jin are like “When are they gonna stop doing this” or “How long are they gonna keep this up?”
Jin: But they keep on assuming these things about us, but we just go with it.
Interviewer: My next question for you guys is what are your favorite songs?
RM: My favorite songs are ‘Panini’ by Lil Nas X and ‘Super Rich Kids’ by Frank Ocean.
Jin: Mine is ‘Senorita’ by Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes and the remix of “Despacito” performed by Luis Fonsi, Justin Bieber, and Daddy Yankee.
Suga: ‘Loco’ by Mustard and ‘Summer Story’ by DJ Doc.
J-Hope: I like ‘The Big Day’ by Chance The Rapper and ‘Beauty and a Beat’ by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.
Jimin: My favorites are ‘Goodbye Days’ by Yui and ‘Love Song’ by Sara Bareilles.
V: My favorite songs are ‘Floor Seats’ by A$AP Ferg and ‘Blue Room’ by Chet Baker.
Jungkook: I really love one of our songs, ‘Mikrokosmos’ and I also love ‘Just Hold On’ by Steve Aoki with Louis Tomlinson.
Me: I love ‘Handclap’ by Fitz and the Tantrums and ‘War of Hormone’ by BTS.
Interviewer: All great songs. I have another question for you guys: Have their been any embarrassing moments before?
RM: Um, I think there’s one between Navya and Jin.
Interviewer: Oh really? Can we hear about it?
Jin: Um, it’s kind of embarrassing, but I’ll tell it. So, one day, me and Suga’s dorm door wasn’t working. If we closed it, then we couldn’t get in. The person on the outside has to open it. Anyway, we both didn’t know what to do, so Suga went to call the other members to see if they could fix it. I waited in the dorm for him, but it took a while, so I called Navya to see if she could fix it. She came over and I told her what the problem was. She came in the room and guess what happened? Navya locked the door.
Interviewer: Oh no! Then what happened?
Me: I didn’t know the door would get locked. We both tried to pull the door open, but it wouldn’t open. So, we were both stuck in there for a while. Who knows how long. *laughs*
Interviewer: What did you guys do in there?
Me: We just talked and laughed. I mean, we WERE in a bedroom, so I don’t really know what happened...*smiles*
*everyone looks at me*
Me: I’m just joking. All we did was talk and laugh. Jin told me a lot of jokes. I cracked up so hard.
Jin: Yeah, I did. I have so many in mind right now.
Me: I laughed so hard that my stomach was hurting. I almost died.
*everyone laughs*
Interviewer: That does sound fun. How did you both get out?
Jin: Suga got us out. He found the members and brought them to our dorm room. Me and Navya were both relived that we got out.
Me: The funny part was that Suga was so confused about what happened. *laughs* We both laughed and explained what happened.
Jin: We were still laughing after that. *laughs* We also told the other members what happened.
Interviewer: Well, that was an amazing story! Did the door get fixed?
Suga: Yes, it did. It won’t lock again from the inside. I think Navya’s gonna be careful next time. *laughs*
Me: I sure will. I probably should ask one of you if I can close the door. *laughs*
Interviewer: That was an amazing story, but I thought it was an embarrassing story.
Jin: After we got the door fixed, the embarrassing things started happening. At dinner that same day, the guys kept on nagging me and Navya about what happened. They kept on asking what we did in the room while it was locked.
Me: Jin and I were so embarrassed. We both said that we both talked and laughed, but they kept on suspecting that something else happened.
Jin: Now, that I think about, I think there was something else. I can’t remember.
Me: Me neither. *remembers* Oh, I remember what it was!
RM: What?
Me: Jin and I both fell asleep on the bed.
Everyone: Ohhhhh!
Jin: Oh yeah, now I remember.
Interviewer: How did you both fall asleep?
Me: I guess we were both laughing so much that we were both tired and fell asleep.
Jimin: I knew there was something else!
V: We keep on saying it, but they just won’t admit it.
Jungkook: Admit what?
J-Hope: That they make a perfect match.
Suga: They would make a perfect couple. Just imagine.
Jin: *embarrassed and blushing* Ah, Yoongi...
Me: *embarrassed* I seriously don’t even know how long this is gonna go.
RM: Jin’s embarrassed! His face, neck, and ears are red!
Jungkook: They are!
*members start teasing Jin by poking him*
Me: *giggles* Okay, guys. Stop teasing Jin.
Interviewer: *laughs* Well, it might happen in the future. Who knows? Well, thank you guys for taking the time to chat with us today! I had an awesome time!
RM: Thank you! For having us! We all had a great time!
Interviewer: *looks at the camera* ARMY, know that BTS is there for you whenever you need it and stay tuned for more awesome music!
Us: Bye!
Me: Saranghae! Annyeong!
Jimin: We love, ARMY!
Jin: Since I can’t blow a kiss for you in person, I’ll just do it to the camera. *blows a flying kiss to the camera*
*everyone laughs*
I hope you guys enjoyed the story!

Modern mdzs au — girls edition
Jiang Yanli works as a babysitter the moment she’s old enough to do so. She has a lot of experience, not only with her own brothers, but with helping Jin Zixuan with his own younger siblings, Meng Yao, Qin Su, and Mo Xuanyu. Qin Su and Mo Xuanyu continue to refer to Jiang Yanli as “a-jie” (big sis), even when they’re no longer children
Wen Qing knows from a young age she wants to become a doctor, and dedicates most of her energy into fulfilling that goal. She works hard in all her classes, and leaves little room for play. In high school, though, she begins to soften, when she starts making friends with some of the other girls
Mian Mian is one of the first girls to befriend Wen Qing. On the outside, Mian Mian seems like your typical popular mean girl, but in reality she’s actually very friendly and sociable. Mian Mian admires Wen Qing’s determination and no-nonsense attitude, and despite being very dissimilar, they get along very well. Wen Qing is very different from the other friends Mian Mian has, though, so Wen Qing rarely hangs out with the entire “girl gang”, as Mian Mian calls it
The other important members of Mian Mian’s girl gang are Jiao Jiao and Zhao Zhiruo (in canon, Wen Chao’s unnamed wife). However, some drama during sophomore year has Mian Mian and Zhao Zhiruo distancing themselves from Jiao Jiao
Zhao Zhiruo is a quiet but intense girl, who used to be bossed around all the time by Jiao Jiao. Over time, through befriending Mian Mian, Zhao Zhiruo discovers the strength to stand up to her former bff
Qin Su is an absolutely delightful girly girl, who grows up loving unicorns and ponies, and who likes to decorate her school supplies with sparkly stickers. She’s timid, childish, and naive, but she can also be extremely obsessive when it comes to the things she likes. She wants to work with animals, since she gets along with them better than other people
Wen Qing is bisexual, and she learns this about herself early on. She thinks of her sexuality in medical terms, without judgement about moral values, so she doesn’t have a hard time coming to terms with it. In high school, Wen Qing joins the GSA and spends a lot of time preparing for various pride events
Zhao Zhiruo is a lesbian, though it takes her a while to admit to it. She ends up dating Wen Chao in sophomore year, but when she finds out that Wen Chao is cheating on her with Jiao Jiao, she’s more relieved than anything else
Mian Mian is that straight girl who will Absolutely Throw Down for her friends, so the minute Zhao Zhiruo admits she might be gay, Mian Mian decides to educate herself so she can be the best Ally To Ever Ally. This involves dragging Zhao Zhiruo to the GSA one day after school, which is where they meet Wen Qing, who is one year older than them
Mian Mian is a DIY mastermind. If it involves her hands, Mian Mian can do it. So obviously she is obsessed with Pinterest and Etsy. She manages to make a fair amount of money selling her handmade scent pouches
Once Jiang Yanli finishes college, she starts to work in her family’s restaurant, Lotus Soup. She’s already engaged to Jin Zixuan, who plans on going into law school. They intend to marry as soon as he finishes law school, but an unexpected pregnancy has them deciding to marry sooner. In hindsight, neither Jiang Yanli nor Jin Zixuan regret anything
Between Jin Zixuan’s inherited wealth and the absurdly high expectations coming from Jiang Yanli’s brothers, it’s one of the most beautiful weddings in the history of weddings
Wen Qing is Jiang Yanli’s maid of honor. Wen Qing became friends with Wei Wuxian in high school, through the GSA, and ever since the entire Jiang family has more or less adopted Wen Qing and Wen Ning. Madam Yu and Jiang Yanli both adore Wen Qing. They’re also quite amused by how flustered Jiang Cheng gets around her
Mian Mian meets and later marries a business major named Yuan Dao in college. He is absolutely enthralled with her many talents, and determines that he will do everything in his power to make Mian Mian’s scent pouches the Next Big Thing. He becomes the very definition of the stereotypical “whipped husband”, and he’ll be the first to admit it
Qin Su and Zhao Zhiruo eventually get together. They’re both quiet and intense people, though Qin Su is a fountain of rainbows and sunshine, while Zhao Zhiruo is more of an Eeyore. They balance each other out, and open a cat cafe in town together, which also functions as a cat adoption center. Mian Mian and Wen Qing visit whenever they can for routine “girl gang” meetups. Sometimes, they even drag Jiang Yanli along
Jiao Jiao eventually dumps Wen Chao when he gets sued for malpractice and loses most of his fortune, and she immediately hightails it for the next rich scumbag she can scam

Tumblr media
Exam week was over. And Jimin's results have been more than satisfactory. He was happy, over the clouds, flying through the skies. He had to thank his hyung as soon as he saw him for having told him about that shop and opening the doors to a world he didn’t even know.
He was excited, ecstatic, overflowing with energy. Even Jungkook and Taehyung were worried about his condition.
“Are you high, hyung?” The youngest asked one afternoon where they were sitting under a tree and the blond was humming a happy song, enjoying the summer breeze. "It's too early for a pot brownie”
“I'm better than ever, Kookie! I'm not high, really. Exams are over, summer is here, we have a year of university left, I'm with my best friends... What else could I ask for?”
A witch with pink hair by his side, perhaps? Giving his life a little magic?
The boys exchanged glances, surprised by the sudden optimism of their friend, when a big smile occupied their fields of vision.
“Jimin? Are you okay?”
“Hobi-hyung! You're here!"Jimin got up to hug the black haired boy, who barely had time to react before falling with the blond on top of him.
“What's the matter with you today? Are you high, Chim?”
"He's been like this all day, hyung," Taehyung answered for him, while Jimin laughed hysterically and circled the tree, jumping like a happy child. He gave him a worried look, almost waiting for Hoseok to read his thoughts. He didn’t, but he seemed to grasp the message.
Hoseok was silent for a moment, thinking. Something wasn’t right, could it be...?
“Jimin” he called “Why don’t you come with me for an ice cream?”
The aforementioned’s face immediately lit up.
“Ice cream! You’re the best, hyung!”
Hoseok told Jungkook and Taehyung that he would take care of his friend. They trusted him, so they had no problem letting them go.
"We could have that little date you promised me a long time ago, Kook," Taehyung said when they were alone, giving him a mischievous smile, showing his teeth. Jungkook tried to hide his red cheeks while agreeing to his boyfriend's request.
Hoseok made sure that Jimin didn’t deviate from the road while they were heading to downtown Seoul, where people who surely could help him lived.
“But look, what a beautiful day, hyung! We could go flying for a while before butterflies take over the sky!”
The older one rolled his eyes.
“Of course, Chim, but first we go for that ice cream, mkay?”
“Magnolia ice cream, please!”
They continued walking until they arrived. Hoseok opened the fence and crossed the aisle of moving floors until he reached the door. He opened it quickly, meeting the Russian blue cat sleeping on the couch and Namjoon near the cauldron, doing whatever potion he was doing. Judging from the scent that came to his nostrils and the bluish color of the substance, it was a potion for insomnia. That potion was sold as freshly baked bread.
"It needs cinnamon, Nam," said Hoseok as he entered. The brunet looked up and smiled warmly.
"Welcome back, hyung," he greeted, looking for the cinnamon jar to add a pinch of the powder. The atmosphere became calmer, almost loose, indicating that the potion was at its perfect point.
"Is Yoongi-hyung here?" He went straight to the point. "We have a problem”
Behind him, Jimin had pushed the cat aside and was now lying back in the chair, fast asleep. The cat, transforming into his human form, approached them.
"Stupid mortal, who does he think he is?”
“Don't blame him, hyung. I think he drank more than he should have”
The two present immediately understood that he wasn’t referring precisely to alcoholic beverages.
"He's in the back garden," said Jin.
“Excellent. Could you take care of him while I go get him? "He didn’t wait for an answer as he ran out the back door.
"What if we prank him?" Namjoon suggested, making his dimples appear suddenly.
Jin rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
“You won’t do the mustache thing again”
In the back garden, Hoseok found one of the scenes that he liked to see the most: Yoongi, wrapped in his gardening clothes, speaking happily to his plants while he changed the dirt. Yoongi used to be cold, sarcastic, even grumpy, but when it came to plants, he could become a little child.
"Very well, lion, welcome to your newly clean home again," he said as he placed a Venus flytrap in a hole made of fresh dirt. The plant began to open its jaws, content with the change of environment “You’ve behaved very well. Here, you deserve a fly” and with this, he took a dead fly from a bucket and placed it between the teeth of the plant. It wasn’t more than ten seconds before the flycatcher began digesting it.
"Uncle Hope!" His favorite child in the world came running to meet him. Hoseok lifted her up in the air, glad to see her non-niece.
“Yujin, little dove! Nice to see you!”
“Uncle Hope, your aura is between gray and pink. Is there something that worries you or you're happy about something? Or both?” The girl tilted her head, confused. She was learning very well to read auras, but she still found it hard to decipher the strongest feelings in the person's mood.
“I'm happy to see you, little dove. But I need to talk to your daddy”
“Oh, sure. He’s there, taking care of the carnivores”
Hoseok left Yujin on the ground again and approached Yoongi.
“Give me a second, Hope, just let me finish with this one little one”
“You have a cephalotus! How come I didn’t know?” the boy bent down to admire the plant better, since he had never seen one of those in real life. It was so small but so deadly. It fascinated him.
“I just got it in a bacillo game, at the local bar”
“I didn’t know you knew how to play?”
"I've been learning." He shrugged, finishing placing the dirt around the cephalotus. It moved, adapting to its new home.
“It's so beautiful” said the raven. Yoongi could almost see the hearts in his eyes.
“You can come visit her whenever you want, you know”
"Really?" Hoseok was so happy that his wings threatened to slam, but he was in time to control them, hugging Yoongi tightly. "Thanks, hyung! I will come this very night! But before... We have a problem...”
“We? It sounds like a plural to me...” he let go of the boy's grip and looked at him with a frown.
Hoseok gave him an apologetic look before heading inside the shop, where Namjoon was in charge of bottling the potion, rationing it in jars of different sizes and labeling them, while Jin was sitting reading a book and eating cookies.
But what caught the attention of the witch was what was lying on the sofa with his head in the lap of the shifter. The same mortal who had come a week before, asking for a potion to pass his exams.
“You have thirty seconds to explain” he sentenced.
“I'm not sure what happened, but I swear it wasn’t my fault” the fairy quickly explained, no longer bothering to hide his wings and starting to flutter in front of Yoongi, now in his normal size, about two inches tall “I have the theory that he drank more than a sip from the potion you gave him”
With this, Yoongi rushed towards the mortal, removing the gloves from his hands. Jin got up without haste, placing a cushion under the blond's head, and approaching Namjoon while the fairy and the elder sorcerer took care of Jimin. Yoongi seemed exasperated, angry even.
“Only rule I have, first rule they break. That's why I hate muggles!”
“So you atched Harry Potter” Hoseok was amused with the scene, although he was still worried about his friend.
"Please, don’t be ridiculous." The witch rolled his eyes, trying to evade the subject, but couldn’t help adding: “I read the books first”
Hoseok just laughed and paid attention to the blond, who was still asleep and didn’t seem to wake up soon.
“Will he be okay, hyung?”
Yoongi ran his hands over Jimin's chest, without touching him, and closed his eyes, concentrated. He ventured to feel the blond's forehead, realising that his body temperature was higher than normal.
“He has a fever and he’s trembling a little. His heart rate is also high. I need...” he got up to go out into the back garden and returned with a mortar in his hands, crushing some extravagant ingredient. Then, he needed the help of the fairy “I need you to wake him up. But don’t let him see you like this for the moment, okay? We don’t want him to have another collapse”
Hoseok nodded and went to Jimin's ear, whispering something that Yoongi couldn’t understand. The boy woke up abruptly and the fairy went to hide under the cushion.
“What's going on? Where’ss my ice cream?”
“Sh, sh. Everything’s fine, okay? I have your ice cream right here” Yoongi took a wooden spoon full of ground orchid leaves and held it to his mouth “Look, try it. It's delicious”
Jimin, still wrapped in his sudden ecstasy, stuffed the full morsel into his mouth, swallowing with difficulty when the bitterness hit his taste buds. The grimace on his face was worthy of a portrait.
“That isn’t a good ice cream, sir. It's not even cold!”
"Sleep." The witch touched his forehead with his forefinger and thus Jimin fell asleep again, snoring occasionally.
Hoseok came out from under the pillow to sit on the right shoulder of the pink-haired one.
“I sincerely hope you didn’t poison him”
Yoongi got up, washed the mortar and put it back in its place.
“I didn’t. Orchids are ideal to counteract minor ecstasies. It should not take long to wake him up”
“Thank you very much for your help, hyung”
“I specifically told him not to take more than one sip”
“It depends on how big a sip is for him” the shapeshifter intervened from the other side of the room.
“How big can it be? As much as your ego?”
“Respect your elders, Yoongi”
“Says the one who lives under my roof”
“Guys, don’t fight” this was Namjoon who spoke, “The mortal could wake up at any moment, and he will have questions”
“Hope? Can you go back to your human form?” The older wizard asked. Hoseok shook his small head.
“I already used today’s spell”
“All right. You have two options” Yoongi took a seat heavily on the sofa opposite to where Jimin was “Either you tell him the truth, or you go and hide in your little house”
The fairy sighed.
“I suppose I'll tell him the truth. After all, he already knows your shop and Jin-hyung”
“Please, everyone’s speechless when they meet me”
Nobody answered.
After a few minutes in silence, where the only noise was the air currents from the window and the door open, Yujin entered through the back door, holding a seed in her gloved hands and with a big smile on her face.
“Look, dad! The mandrakes already gave seeds!”
Maybe it was her enthusiasm, or just the volume of her voice that woke Jimin. Startled, he sat up and blinked several times, rubbing his head heavily. His hair was messy, making him look… cute, Yoongi thought.
“The mortal’s here!” Exclaimed little Yujin, keeping the mandrake seed in the front pocket of her overall.
“What happened?”
"You disobeyed my rules; that happened." The witch rose from his place, crossing his arms.
Yujin approached him, sitting next to him as she did the first time he was in the shop.
"When daddy says don’t do something, it's always better to listen to him," she said, tilting her head and looking into his eyes. "Bad things happen when you don’t listen to daddy”
Jimin didn’t know whether to take it as a childish comment, a warning or a threat. He concluded that it could be the three things if he really thought about it.
He took a few seconds to observe the place where he was until he recognized it. From the girl, to the strangely attractive shapeshifter, to the witch with purple hair and more important... the grumpy witch with pink hair who had attended him a week ago. What he didn’t recognize, was the small fluorescent figure on his shoulder, moving as if it were... a mini human?
He didn’t immediately give importance to it, he concluded that it would be some magical creature and that perhaps it was none of his business.
“I don’t remember much”
"I'll give you a summary, little flower," Yoongi said, with a deeper voice than usual. "I told you to have a sip before each test, and you didn’t. You took more than a sip and that could cost you your life. If Hoseok hadn’t brought you on time, you probably would already have fainted in some alley, surrounded by dark fairies”
"Dark fairies?”
“They take advantage of the weakness of mortals. The point is... You must be very careful with magic, kid. That's why we hide from you”
“Wait a minute, you said Hoseok? Hobi-hyung brought me? Where is he?”
The phosphorescent figure jumped from the witch's shoulder and began to flutter until it came out the back door. Yoongi immediately understood the message.
“He had an emergency, he had to fly out”
Namjoon and Seokjin laughed in the background, still doing what they were doing.
“But don’t worry, don’t bite“ he continued “Yujin, little booger, why don’t you bring one of your famous teas to our guest?”
The girl smiled widely and jumped off the couch, standing behind the counter and getting down to work. Jimin watched her take out a miniature cauldron filled with water and put it on what looked like a Bunsen burner, but ancient. She took off her gloves and rolled up her red sleeves. When exposing her arms, the blond could notice the symbols that she had, almost like those of the sorcerer but in smaller quantity. She brought out different herbs and, with great precision, added them to the mixture. Shee almost seemed like… an alchemist. Even if she was just making tea.
“Well” Namjoon started, putting out the fire in the cauldron” I need to go out and buy some things. Jin-hyung, why don’t you come with me?”
“Of course, I need to get out of this place for a while”
“Oh! Can I go?" Interposed the girl." I want to buy a new pendulum”
"What happened to the one you had?" Jin asked. Yujin shrugged.
“It broke in a session”
“You losed the session? We don’t want evil spirits hanging around”
“Of course! That was weeks ago!”
"Bugger, do you need money?" Yoongi asked, ready to give the girl what she needed, but she was already shaking her head as she poured two cups of tea and turned off the burner.
“No, thanks, daddy. I have a little of what I have saved”
“And where did you get the money?”
“The girls in my school love to see magic tricks” her smile was funny and malevolent at the same time. Yoongi looked at her, softened.
“My little leech is growing”
"Ha, she's barely seven years old and she’s already more successful than you." Jin turned to Namjoon before turning into a cat and walking between his legs.
The girl left the two cups of tea on the coffee table and addressed her father.
"Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do," Yoongi told her, hugging her.
“And you try not to burn the shop while I'm not here, okay?”
She could have been seven years old, but Jimin thought that this girl has lived longer than he has.
When the door closed behind them, Yoongi took the cup and brought it to his lips, crossing his legs.
"Should I worry?" Jimin asked, already worried. Yujin had referred to a session... a spirits session? With real spirits?
“You shouldn’t”
“Okay”
Yoongi sighed.
“Drink, you'll feel better”
Jimin obeyed. As soon as he took the first sip, his body felt immediately lighter and the tension he seemed to be carrying lessened. He sighed, enjoying the sensation and closed his eyes for a few seconds.
“Oh God. It's the best tea I've ever had”
“Yujin has extraordinary cooking skills. She is the reason why I haven’t starved to death in the last seven years”
“Can I ask you a question?”
“You can’t”
“Okay.
They drank in silence. Yoongi finished his tea before Jimin and got up.
“Well, that would be it. I'm glad you feel better and there's nothing else I can do for you. As soon as you exit through that door, please don’t come back unless it’s a matter of life and death. And for the love of the gods, don’t reveal the existence of this shop to any of your mortal friends, okay? I'll know if you do, and the consequences won’t be nice for you. Have a nice day”
And with that, he walked to the back door, but as soon as he opened it, the small phosphorescent figure from before quickly got in, perching on the table in front of Jimin.
"Oh, no," Yoongi whispered through his teeth.
“Jimin! I'm really sorry! I should never have told you about the shop, nor should I have lied to you, but you needed help and you were desperate, and I wanted to tell you the truth for a long time, but I didn’t know how to do it and now I put you in danger, and...”
“Hoseok! Take it easy! You’re gonna scare him”
Jimin was confused. He listened to his friend's voice, but he didn’t know exactly where it came from.
“Down here, Chim!”
The blond looked at the coffee table to meet a two-inch human, shining and waving at him with one hand.
“An insect! A damn insect!” He jumped up from the sofa to hide behind it and just peeked his eyes out.
“Come on, Jimin. It's me,” the little man said, flying carefully to him and stopping on the back of the sofa, near his hands. "I'm your hope, I'm your angel, I'm J-Hope”
"More like a damn fairy," Yoongi laughed from his position. Hoseok shot him a murderous look.
“Hobi-hyung?” Jimin came out of his hiding place cautiously, taking his time to admire the size of his hyung, his wings, even his clothes. Being a fairy, the boy would think that his clothes would consist of green suits with shoes and a pointed hat, perhaps covered with leaves and twigs, but no. He was dressed exactly the same as the last time he had seen him.
“Your clothes shrink when you do?”
Nobody spoke for a few seconds. Hoseok was waiting for any other questions, except that one.
“They do”
“My friend is a fairy... My hyung is a fairy...” He didn’t know if it surprised him, scared him, or intrigued him. Maybe the three things.
“I'm a fairy”
"Are you one of the dark fairies Yoongi-ssi mentioned?" He asked, almost afraid.
“What? I'm not..." He looked at the witch angrily, who just shrugged and pursed his lips. "I'm not a dark fairy. I feel so attacked right now”
“I'm sorry, it's just that...” he walked around the sofa again, taking a seat where he was a few minutes ago “Everything is a bit confusing. A week ago I didn’t know magic existed, and now I find out one of my best friends is a fairy, and is friends with witches and shapeshifters.
“Only witches and shapeshifters, definitely.”
“And obviously there are many other things I don’t know”
"I know it's a lot to process, Chim” the fairy sat down softly on his friend’s shoulder trying to comfort him. “And you can take all the time you need”
“Just take it outside my shop...” the sorcerer intervened, leaning against the frame of the back door and crossing his arms.
"Hyung!" Hoseok scolded. "Jimin can take the time he needs, and he can come whenever he wants”
Yoongi rolled his eyes and sighed.
“Well, but there you must follow three simple rules”
“I’m listening”
“One: you have to be here when he is. I won’t take care of any emotional trauma if the kid goes unsupervised and I won’t start being responsible now.”
“Done. What is the second rule?”
“He won’t touch anything. We don’t want him to cause disasters I’ll have to fix later”
“Perfect. And the last one?”
“He won’t speak to me. I've done enough for this mortal”
“Well, maybe that's a bit rude...” the fairy started, but seeing the witch's hard look, he accepted “Okay. Do you understand, Jimin?”
The aforementioned nodded, trying to hide his smile. It’s true that Yoongi was grumpy and rude, but there was something odd with him, Jimin noticed. As if he tried too hard to look rude.
“All right. If you follow those three rules, you’re welcome in my shop whenever you want. It’s open twenty-four hours a day”
"As long as I'm here," commented Hoseok.
“You’re getting it”
And with this, the witch went towards the garden.
“Don't let him intimidate you. He is a grumpy old man who hasn’t had sex for at least fifty years.
The blond almost choked on the tea.
“How old is he? How old are you, Hobi?”
“You don’t want to know his age. And I’m much older than you, kid, so don’t drop the titles”
“I'm sorry, hyung”
After finishing his tea, Jimin looked at the clock on his cell phone, startled by the time and number of messages he had.
“Oh no. I'm late for an interview. Kookie and Tae are looking for me. I have to go!”
Hoseok took off from his shoulder, floating close to his head.
“Oh, yeah, you're looking for a summer job. What will you try now?”
“The coffee in front of the campus.
“Good luck, Chim! Come back soon!” He shouted when the boy was already out the door.
“Thank you! Will do!”
And the door closed with a thud.
Jimin visited the shop almost every day. It was customary to follow Hoseok after his dance classes, in the afternoons. Almost two weeks had passed since the incident, and Jimin had never been livelier in his life. A whole new world is opened before his eyes, within reach of his hands and more excited he couldn’t be. Even Jungkook and Taehyung noticed his mood change in recent days. He couldn’t explain, of course, being that he had made a promise, but he wasn’t going to tell anyone.
It was a Friday when his friend/fairy brought out a topic of conversation that he was avoiding.
"How's the job search going?" He asked, as they opened the fence and crossed the garden toward the front door of the shop.
“Ugh, don’t ask me. I’ve applied in all the cafés in the city and none of them has accepted me. It's as if they weren’t even trying, can you believe it, hyung?”
Upon opening the door, Hoseok discarded the glamor that kept his human face to return to his original size and flutter near his friend’s head.
“Cafés? Chim, are you even trying?”
“Of course I'm trying! I want a job in a café and thus meet my soul mate, is that too much to ask?”
“This isn’t a love story, Chim. You need the money if you want to pay for your last year of college and your dance classes,” he said, emphasizing the and.
“You're right, but where else do you look for a job?”
“Maybe Yoongi can help you with that.”
Jimin dropped on the couch, in his usual seat while Hoseok landed on his shoulder. Seokjin was at the counter, as usual, keeping an eye on the shop with those blue eyes and Namjoon was behind him, sitting on a chair and absorbed in his reading. The book seemed extremely old. The two limited themselves to greeting them with a nod and a smile.
“But Yoongi-ssi said that I musn’t speak to him…”
“Mhm, you're right… Namjoon! Do you have a moment?”
The aforementioned got up, leaving the book aside and approached them.
“What do you need, hyung?”
“Jimin needs a little help”
“If it has to do with knowing your future, I’m all ears”
“Well... Something like that. He needs to get a job, do you think you could make an amulet or something?”
Namjoon shook his head immediately.
“Never. I’m bad with amulets and potions and you know that perfectly, hyung”
“Please, Joon, what's the worst that could happen?”
“If any disaster happens, Yoongi-hyung would kill me, and I fear for my life, thank you very much”
"Is someone threatening you, Nam?" The man was entering the room, with little Yujin behind him.
“Nobody’s threatening me... Yet. Hosoek-hyung wants a favor, so I'll let him tell you.” He smiled innocently and went back to his place to read his book. The cat gave him a funny look, and both paid attention to the conversion that was about to take place.
"How can I help you, Hope?" Yoongi was in a good mood, it seemed, until his eyes fell on a certain mortal in his tent. "Well, maybe it can wait”
He turned to go back the way he had come, but the fairy was faster and hurried to cover his step, floating in front of his face.
“Wait! It's about... Jimin”
Yoongi raised an eyebrow, disinterested, and made his characteristic pout, almost pursing his lips.
“C’mon, you helped him once...”
“And how did it end up for him?”
“Aish, but this time won’t happen. You'll do everything I say, right Jimin?” The fairy looked at the blond behind them, who quickly nodded quickly. “Come on, hyung. Do it for me”
“Uncle Hobi looks very distressed, daddy. Maybe you should at least listen to him,” the girl said, next to the sorcerer.
Yoongi sighed, while Hoseok smiled at Yujin in gratitude. In the end he rolled his eyes.
“You have thirty seconds”
“Jimin needs a job, but it seems he hasn’t been looking in the right place. Could you do something for him?”
The wicth raised both eyebrows.
“... Hyung?
Yoongi looked at the mortal. He avoided his gaze, trying to keep his promise not to speak to him. His hair fell on his forehead, his nervous eyes roamed every part of the room that wasn’t him. That day he was wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt with black pants and sneakers. The sleeves of the shirt covered his hands and he played nervous with them. He was slightly sweaty, a result of the dance class he came from.
He sighed one last time, closing his eyes and telling himself that he wouldn’t regret it.
“All right. Give me a few minutes”
He went to the cabinet in front of the counter and took out something that nobody could see. Then, he disappeared through the back door, leaving them alone, wondering what he would do. Seconds later, Yujin followed him.
Hoseok smiled, approaching Jimin, who took a seat again.
“Easy, Yoongi-hyung knows what he does”
Namjoon approached them equally, along with the cat and they both sat on the sofa in front of them.
“He’s right, you know? Yoongi-hyung rarely makes mistakes... Not after...”
The cat jumped on his lap and gave him an accusatory look, warning him not to talk more than he should. Namjoon understood.
“It’s just that Yoongi-hyung has had a difficult past that has shaped his personality over time”
Jimin was content with that, but he couldn’t help but wonder what had to have happened for Yoongi to be that way. He couldn’t help but remember what Yujin had said when he met her.
“Daddy says that mortals are dangerous. That I shouldn’t get too close to them”
Did it have something to do with that?
Meanwhile, Yoongi had gone into the room next to his garden, where he used to make his mixes, some potions, fertilizers and basically all his work. In the center, there was a wooden table with six chairs. The walls were full of shelves with various plants, jars and tools of gardening and alchemy on all sides. The place was full of windows, through which natural light entered. A single bulb hung from the ceiling for the times Yoongi worked at night. And in a corner, what looked like a stove and a refrigerator, where they kept their food and tried to cook.
"Do you need help, daddy?" Yujin said as she took a seat in one of the chairs and watched her father work. He placed a bracelet in the middle of a pentacle painted on the table and positioned some plants and candles around.
“No, sweetie. I'll just make a simple charm for the mortal and that's it”
“Jimin doesn’t seem like a bad person” said the girl, playing with her braids, ”I have dedicated myself to analyzing his aura during these days...”
“Yujin, not now, okay?”
“I’m just saying, daddy, that there are also good mortals in the world”
“And I’m just saying that I won’t look for them with the risk of finding a bad one, okay?”
His tone of voice came out harder than he intended, and when he looked up at the girl, she frowned, worried about her father.
“I just want you to be happy, daddy. I have never seen you smile outside your comfort zone”
Yoongi stopped doing what he was doing to look at his daughter. She kept her gaze steady until the sorcerer gave up. How was it that he had raised this girl so well?
“Thanks, Yujin. I'll try, okay?”
Yujin smiled, got out of the chair and approached Yoongi, wrapping him in a tight hug. The door opened abruptly, interrupting the moment. Hoseok entered with a trail of light and stopped in front of them.
“I'm sorry, am I interrupting something? Well, it doesn’t matter. Thea is here!” and he left as he arrived.
"Shall we see her?" Yoongi suggested when they were alone again. Yujin nodded happily and they both left the room, crossed the garden and entered the shop. The girl ran excitedly into the arms of the new arrival.
“Mommy! I missed you so much!”
Jimin raised his head to hear this. He hadn’t paid much attention to the new arrival, but when he saw Yujin so happy to see who her mother seemed to be, his mind kindled all kinds of alarms.
The girl looked young, no more than twenty-five years old. She was brunette, her loose hair was curly and dark brown, with small eyes, just like the little girl. Jimin could see the resemblance everywhere, and was surprised that Yujin and Yoongi had no similarities in physical appearance. The girl's mother didn’t dress too luxurious, as he could believe. Just ripped jeans and a greasy wool sweater that was slightly larger. On her back hung a small denim backpack.
As soon as Yujin opened her arms, the new arrival received her with welcoming arms, carrying her on her hip and greeting her with a hug that was just as strong.
“Hello, pumpkin. I missed you so much, too”
Then, Yoongi entered the shop, smiling slightly at the scene. Jimin noticed the exact moment when the wizard and the girl exchanged glances and a wave of jealousy invaded his chest. He didn’t notice, but Yujin was able to see his aura perfectly and smiled to herself.
Yoongi approached them.
“Hello, stranger, what a pleasure to see you again” he approached her to greet her with a kiss on the cheek. Jimin's interior burned, so he preferred to look away.
“Same, Yoongles, how’ve you been?”
The sorcerer shrugged.
“As usual. Solving everyone’s life, fixing Namjoon’s messes and taking care of this little one,” he replied, nodding at Yujin.
The girl smiled sideways.
“You have done a good job. I was afraid I would not find her on my next visit”
“Pff, please. Yujin can take care of herself perfectly. Better yet, she takes care of me, don’t you, little bugger?”
The girl smiled broadly.
"Daddy would be starving to death if it weren’t for me”
The girl laughed.
"And what brings you to Seoul, old woman?" Seokjin said, finally returning to his human form and approaching them.
“Well, I thought it was a long time since I visited you guys. And I wanted to see you”
Namjoon also joined the conversation.
“We are very happy to see you. Don’t disappear so much”
“Actually, I've been traveling a lot. And I came with gifts!”
She slipped the backpack from her back and sat on the couch next to Jimin, noticing his presence for the first time.
“Hello, I've never seen you around here” she smiled sideways, extending her hand. “I'm Althea, but everyone calls me Thea. A pleasure”
"I'm Jimin," he replied, taking her hand and trying to force a smile.
“You're Yoongi's friend?”
"Not really." Hoseok answered for him, sitting in the center of the table. "He's my friend, but Yoongi lets him come from time to time”
“I'm surprised that that grumpy old man hasn’t thrown you out yet. He doesn’t like to make many friends”
“Hm, you know him. He has a weak spot for the charismatic fairy”
Everyone laughed, except Jimin, who felt more and more out of place. Yoongi noticed his discomfort, but tried to ignore it as much as he could.
“Going back to the gifts!”
She started to take out some packages and distribute them to those present.
“A new crystal ball! How did you know I broke mine?” Namjoon exclaimed.
“Maple honey of the oldest tree in Canada. You know me so well” Laughed the fairy.
“A collection of selected ingredients and spices for cooking. How did you know?” Seokjin was already thinking of a thousand and one dishes to add his new seasonings.
“Wow! A quartz wand! But these are impossible to get!” Yelled Yujin, admiring her new wand, almost afraid to break it.
“And for Yoongi...” she got up and walked towards him, with her backpack in one hand and the other inside her, keeping her gift as a surprise” It's not really a gift, it's more like a commission, you know? I found it abandoned in a forest in Norway and I thought you would be the one to take care of it”
Finally, she pulled out her hand, revealing what Jimin thought was a turtle egg. It was very small, it could fit in Yujin's palm. The boy couldn’t know with certainty which animal belonged.
However, because of the face he put on, Yoongi seemed to recognize it immediately.
"You're kidding" His face showed surprise, admiration, even happiness. There were more expressions than Jimin had ever seen him do and he hated the girl for that.
“I'm not kidding. They will need a home when they’re born”
“It will be an honor to take care of him. Myzo will be happy to have company”
Thea handed him the egg and Yoongi received it as if it were a feather. He ran to find a container and a piece of cloth to place it there with great care and leave it on the counter.
"And how long will you be in Seoul?" Namjoon asked suddenly.
“Oh, I was about to leave, actually”
“Are you kidding? But you just arrived today!” Hoseok cried.
“I'm sorry, guys, I have some problems to fix. But I’m very happy to see you again”
“Well,” Seokjin intervened, “We don’t want to delay you. But stay in touch, okay?”
“I agree with the cat” Yoongi nodded, returning with them, “and call us if you need something, okay? You know where to find us”
Thea smiled broadly, glad to have such good friends. She approached Yujin and gave her one last hug that lasted a little longer than expected. She said goodbye to everyone with more hugs, a kiss on the cheek to Yoongi and a gesture with her hands for Jimin to finally leave through the front door, fading away in the streets of Seoul.
"That girl is a loose case," laughed Seokjin, returning to his cat form and leaning back on the sofa. Everyone returned to their places, still infected by Thea's energy until Hoseok broke the environment.
“Oh, hyung, did you finish Jimin's amulet?”
Yoongi seemed to come out of a trance.
“Right! I’ll be back.” He took the container where he had placed the egg and got out the shop again.
The shop was silent, only the sound of the wind broke the atmosphere. Jimin didn’t dare to comment or ask anything, so he began to analyze the place for the thousandth time until his eyes fell on Yujin. She was watching him with her head cocked and when they made eye contact, she smiled sideways. He didn’t have time to ask what was going on, because Yoongi came in again and approached him.
"Here you are." She extended a hand to him, handing him a silver bracelet. Jimin examined it. It was simple, thin and open, one of those that overlap and have no brooch. But at one end, a small feather was engraved. The design was beautiful, and Jimin could hardly believe the delicacy that both the bracelet and Yoongi's gesture implied.
“It’s an amulet. It will help you get what you need. Use it as much as you can and believe as much as you want”
“It’s beautiful. But how much will it cost?”
The sorcerer considered for a moment. Then he remembered the mortal's discomfort when Thea was in the shop and smiled sideways.
“It’s nothing”
Jimin didn’t know if he had imagined it but when he reacted, Yoongi was already in the door frame again, but stopped a moment and without turning to look at him, he added:
“Just remember. What you need is not always what you want”

RUB YOUR FINGER FOR 1 MINUTE AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR BODY RUB YOUR FINGER FOR 1 MINUTE AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR BODY. Chinese medicine is one of the longest practised forms of medicine in our history. The study of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a form of traditional Chinese medicine which looks at the 26 different energy centres of the body. Jin Shin Jyutsu has a main focus on the fingers and toes. All 26 energy points are connected to different organs throughout the body and by massaging certain points in your fingers, good, positive energy can be sent to those organs to stimulate them and keep them healthy. Here is what part of the body is affected by massaging a certain finger. The Thumb. The thumb is joined to the heart and lungs. A rapid heartbeat of breathlessness can be relieved through soft rubbing and pulling on the thumb. The Index Finger. The index finger is connected to the gastro-intestinal tract. If you have an upset stomach or constipation, then gently rubbing and pulling on the index finger should quickly alleviate the symptoms. The Middle Finger. The middle finger is linked to our circulation system. For dizziness and nausea, massaging the middle finger is particularly good for relieving those symptoms. This method can also help with insomnia. The Ring Finger. The ring finger, according to the study of Jin Shin Jyutsu, is responsible for improving our mood. If you’re in a bad mood, or not feeling very patient, then massage this finger to calm down and relax. The Pinky Finger. The pinky finger, or ‘little finger’ is connected to the kidney and head. Regular application of the Jin Shin Jyutsu methods to the little finger can start the healing process for kidneys. For headaches and neck aches, pressing on this little finger should also alleviate the pain. Try these methods out, you will be surprised at the power these tips hold! Wine Pairing
In Want, main character Jason Zhou exhibits so much love for his country of Taiwan, despite it’s fractured state. I found that to be such a lovely element of this story, and since the national flower of Taiwan is the Plum Blossom, I decided to pair Want with this Hakutsuru Plum Wine. *All wine recommendations are for strictly for those of legal drinking age only.*
About Want
From critically acclaimed author Cindy Pon comes an edge-of-your-seat sci-fi thriller, set in a near-future Taipei plagued by pollution, about a group of teens who risk everything to save their city.
Jason Zhou survives in a divided society where the elite use their wealth to buy longer lives. The rich wear special suits, protecting them from the pollution and viruses that plague the city, while those without suffer illness and early deaths. Frustrated by his city’s corruption and still grieving the loss of his mother who died as a result of it, Zhou is determined to change things, no matter the cost.
With the help of his friends, Zhou infiltrates the lives of the wealthy in hopes of destroying the international Jin Corporation from within. Jin Corp not only manufactures the special suits the rich rely on, but they may also be manufacturing the pollution that makes them necessary.
Yet the deeper Zhou delves into this new world of excess and wealth, the more muddled his plans become. And against his better judgment, Zhou finds himself falling for Daiyu, the daughter of Jin Corp’s CEO. Can Zhou save his city without compromising who he is, or destroying his own heart?

Title: Want
Author: Cindy Pon
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Pub Date: June 13, 2017
My Review
Futuristic, fast-paced, and utterly phenomenal, Want is the perfect blend of science-fiction, dystopian, heist novel, and thriller. This is a must read for fans of Six of Crows and The Thousandth Floor.
Cindy Pon has brilliantly crafted a near-future version of Taipei, where global warming, pollution, and a fatal pandemic have created a society where the divide between the wealthy and those living in poverty is not only vast but deadly. This setting not only contributed to the very high-stakes storyline, but also felt entirely believable, as though this could be a very natural and perilous progression for our current society.
Between Jason Zhou’s band of deviants, who defy those in positions of power over Taipei in an attempt to save it, and the enigmatic Daiyu, Cindy Pon has assembled a diverse and dynamic cast of characters that you’ll be captivated by from the very first page.
One of the parts of this story that I absolutely loved was Jason Zhou’s love for his country and city, and how that motivated his actions throughout the book. It was so refreshing to read a story about a “criminal” with such truly noble intentions.
This is one of those books that bridges the gap between genres so well and will be adored by many different types of readers. I’m so excited for it to be out in the world on Tuesday and even more excited to learn that there is a second book in the works. I for one cannot wait to see more of this fascinating world and these incredible characters.
