Watching the replay now and it is heartbreaking that the guys are going away when performing on stage is like breathing for them. But hopefully after this period in their lives, everything will be smooth-sailing moving forward.

Jungkook’s vibrato in “Standing Next To You” is next level. You can hear the vocal control he has developed.

With a musician’s ear, it’s impossible to not hear how he has continued to hone his skills. It’s like a Painter who continually learns how to create more variations of colors on his palate... Jungkook does this with his vocal cords.

What I hear is a refinement in his vibrato, and an ability to change it based upon the needs of the song. Many Vocalists cannot do that, at this level. It is an amazing skill.

Lots are mentioning MJ, when they speak about “Standing Next To You”, and I’m going to join them. The vibrato JK is using in this track is very similar to MJ’s. I personally LOVE IT.

It’s just so freaking cool and amazing to witness this Jeon Jungkook.

I can’t wait to see and hear what else he has in store! 💜

Finished listening to Golden and even though some songs are not my cup of tea, I think he really showcased his voice through the whole album —from the high notes in standing next to you, to his lower register in somebody and closer to you.

Some songs are kinda forgettable to me, but standing next to you was very nice! The MV made 0 sense but the choreo was really good so yeah bonus point. The presence of the girl and the interactions with her were so random 😭

Also I keep thinking too sad to dance and shot glass of tears are the same song? Couldn’t differentiate the two of them for the life of me.
