So excited to start 2019 off in Manila, Philippines. A lot of cool things happening this weekend, and I really don’t know what to be more excited about! “As if” Filipino food alone isn’t enough to be excited about. 1. Ortigas 1/27 Apostolic realignment: I’m moving ministry from under World Harvest (Parsley’s) to River of God (Bishop Chito’s). I believe shifting to a global revival and renewal apostolic house located in Asia is a divine re alignment that will be extremely fruitful in the spirit realm. 2. 1/28 PCEC Soaking in the River: at Victory in Robinson’s Galleria is never a let down, but this 2019 is going to start with shock & awe. I'd recommend Pocketbook! It has a touch interface but also has buttons for turning pages and isn't anybody's proprietary ereader so there are no ads. There is a backlight but you can turn it off. I leave mine very low so it's invisible in the light and just enough light to read by in the dark.

My faithful 10-year-old e-reader with no modern features to speak of died recently so I’ve been investigating new models, and I’m… distressed… I never adjusted to tactile, I genuinely enjoy pressing buttons to make things happen like an under-stimulated rat, plus screen light makes my eyes bleed and now all the e-readers boast about their luminous tactile screen with higher-than-ever contrast and nary a button—and the holy connectivity. If my reading device isn’t self-contained and disconnected from the outside world how can /I/ reach this blissful state of mind while reading? I feel like launching my own product. Do you love darkness and buttons? Do you feel nostalgic for forbidden nighttime childhood reading and wish to struggle to make out sentences in the dim recesses of an unlit screen? Would you rather die in a ditch than see an ad in your e-library? Does the concept of connectivity in relation to your reading device strike fear and suspicion in your heart? Do you hate wifi? and enjoy defiantly winding up a little cable around a pencil like you’re pulling up the drawbridge when you’re done transferring a new book? Try the mossbook
