Some days my old die hard jonrya soul feels like writing a little something. Today is one of those days, but I think I lost my creative flame. It's just sad really. I wish I could come up with something and just write it down as I used to.

Day 4: House Stark

Arya, the lone wolf, still lived, but the wolves of the pack had been taken and slain and skinned.

I would be so disappointed if GRRM changed the Jonrya endgame. It wouldn't make sense.

I know that it's possible that Martin has abandoned aspects of his 1993 letter, and even the endgame might be different. However, can you imagine how wholesome it would be if Jon and Arya ended up together? It doesn't matter whether they would be King and Queen or Lord and Lady as long as they ended up in a position of power - which alignes with their political arcs and also with the kind of leaders Martin wants to show.

Arya wouldn't just be a Lord's / King's wife , with the limited power this position offers. She would be her husband's de facto co ruler, participate in political meetings, sharing her views and making ruling decisions. She would have the power to help all those who are under hers ( and her husband's aka Jon's) protection, and improve the life of the small folk, something we can see from her POV that's important to her. And having a husband who also fiercely cares about those in need is a bonus bc as co leaders will aim for the same goals.

As for Jon, he would no longer feel alone to carry the heavy burden of ruling ( like he felt when he was Lord Commander for example). He will finally have someone else to help him with ruling, someone on equal ground with him. And not just someone, but his dearest person. The person who knows him best and who he knows best in return.

Those two together would really be an unbeatable team. They used to finish each other's sentences, they knew what the other was thinking , they were always so close and in synth with each other. Becoming a couple and ruling together would bring them even closer, they would be two hearts in one shared soul.

favorite thing in asoiaf is that the stark family tree is just filled with haters in every generation. theon stark brandon snow alaric stark cregan stark even ned's brother brandon and lyanna too. even the current kids jon snow robb sansa and arya all have some kendrick lamar level of beef w at least one person. brandon the builder spawned an entire genre of haters

i love the way sansa is so proud to be catelyn's daughter. in a world where women are expected to assimilate to their husbands' world once they get married, there's sansa adopting her mother's gods into her creed, taking pride in having her mother's looks, often choosing to wear the colors of her mother's house and, most importantly, drawing strength from her mother's memory. what's so great about this is that it's not an act of spite against her father. she's just proud of being both stark and tully. it's like arya said: the woman is important too.

In case you're not familiar with what I do, I'm also a merchmaker and used to make various merch of stuff I like :D I've been wanted to do GoT merch for years but was too afraid before because I didn't have the skills etc...

But not anymore!! 😼 So here's the designs I've been working on for a while. It was quite a challenge but I'm happy with the result, the backgrounds were the most challenging part lmao!!

I'll post pics of them when I'll have them and ready to be purchased on my shop! 🤸‍♀️ For now, hope you'll like the designs! (I also have some HotD charms that I'll post later, but did months before so I'm less happy with how they look lmao)

there’s something so special to me about the casual intimacy (both physical and emotional) of the stark family. robb carrying bran to his horse. bran holding robb’s hand to comfort him. jon ruffling arya’s hair and pushing her around and her laughing and pushing him right back. ned hugging sansa and arya in front of the entire king’s court. they’re always thinking about each other and missing each other. the kids cry and fight and play and are kids, and ned and catelyn are kind to one another, and it’s beautiful. it’s so warm, so human, in contrast with the coldness of other familial relationships in the book.
