Is Robin Clone like, a “take two” for their brainwashing with Robin Jason? Like, they gave Jason drugs to make him black out and kill, is the conditioning (“crowbar” resulting in him attacking the glass hard enough to hurt himself) the “upgraded” version of that? Because conditioning lingers, and drugs wear off, so he could be weaponized without the hassle of catching and drugging him. So was Robin Clone like a continuation of their “work” with Jason, or just a method of poking at his triggers. (Or both. They did know who was under the helmet, so.)

Bilan du quatrième match de préparation de la France pour la Coupe du Monde de Rugby à XV

Ce dernier match de préparation a tenu toutes ses promesses, côté français, tout du moins. Les spectateurs français demandaient de l’audace et un petit grain de folie sur le terrain. Ils ont été servis.

La première mi-temps

À peine sept minutes de jeu et Jonathan Danti déchire la muraille australienne avec une course dévastatrice. Il bat deux défenseurs après avoir été parfaitement servi par Antoine Dupont. La première mi-temps est très équilibrée et accrochée. Les Français virent largement en tête à la fin du premier acte parce que l’ouvreur australien n’est pas en réussite.Il manque en effet une transformation et deux pénalités. Une transformation ? Mais alors l’Australie a marqué un essai. Oui effectivement, c'est Mark Nawaqanitawase qui le marque à la 13ème minute. Une fois de plus, la défense française a été très efficace et a annihilé un grand nombre d’offensives adverses. La possession de balles à la mi-temps étaient largement en faveur des Australiens avec un score de 65 %. Pourtant, au tableau d’affichage, le score était de 13 à 5 pour la France. 

La deuxième-mi-temps

Ce deuxième acte fut bien moins équilibré. Même si les Australiens ont réussi à marquer sept points avec un essai de Mc Reight que l’ouvreur Wallabies a enfin réussi à transformer. En toute fin de match, Vunivalu a pu également passer la ligne. La France a beaucoup plus maîtrisé le ballon et n’a plus vraiment été inquiétée par des Australiens trop étouffés par les défenseurs tricolores. Les bleus ont déroulé avec trois essais. Un doublé de Penaud et une réalisation de Gabin Villière. Coqs et Kangourous se quittent bons amis sur un score de 41 à 17.

Le bilan du match et de la préparation

Au-delà du résultat, c’est encore et toujours l’état d’esprit de ce XV de France qui impressionne et force l’admiration. On a assisté à une montée en puissance progressive du XV de France qui a démarré sa tournée d’été par une défaite étriquée en Ecosse puis qui a enchainé trois succès à domicile. A chaque fois, on a vu de nouvelles choses. Les quatre essais du jour sont particulièrement appréciables parce qu’ils sont l'oeuvre des 3/4. Le premier tout en force de Danti est issu d’une simple touche, rampe de lancement parfaite pour des attaques en première main. Le premier essai de Penaud conclut un splendide mouvement d’attaque au centre du terrain que Dupont décale d’une subtile passe au pied pour son ailier qui marque en coin. Antoine Dupont illumine le jeu du XV de France et délivre une troisième passe décisive et une deuxième passe au pied pour Villière, cette fois sur l’aile opposée. Le dernier essai, Penaud le doit à son jeu au pied et à sa pointe de vitesse. La deuxième période fut réellement un festival. 

Alors si vous voulez à continuer à en prendre plein les yeux, rendez-vous le 8 septembre pour le match France – All Blacks
