guys im thinking about tide lambert again. thinking about how he was made to be a hero. thinking about how at the kids' party he had to wear a costume to cover his face because he's so easily recognizable as the hero tide that he can't be seen in public. his hero costume doesn't have a mask. his real name is his superhero name. he has no civilian identity. when he went out shopping in late s1 he had to wear a disguise and didn't seem to know how stores even worked. he's literally made to be a hero. he got depowered and the only other thing he had going for him was being a mentor but his trainees weren't in consistent contact with him so he just poured himself into making a home for them for whenever he saw them again. there was nothing else he had. if he couldn't be a hero at least he could be a dad. im going to eat sawdust
