Ah, I now have 2 different versions of brain-rot: Baldur's Gate brain rot, and Monster Hunter International brain rot (then again, that second one tends to just come in waves anyway), so I thought, why not mix the two things? Thus I give you, through fae magic bullshit, Julie Shackleford and Owen Pitt in Baldur's Gate 3.
Considering I thought it would be way too easy to just keep them human and give them appropriate classes that suited their personalities, I decided this is supposed to be a "fell into a portal and now I'm in another world" kind of story-line. I thought it would be fun to play with the idea that with portal jumping came new bodies that they have to adjust to, along with the new world they'd need to explore.
Making Julie a tiefling sorceress was probably the easiest decision ever, with a +2 CHA bonus, and magic she needs to learn to control, it fit her way too well. Making Owen a brass dragonborn barbarian, however, came about because of the body horror element. Imagine waking up with one less digit on each limb, your face twisted into an unfamiliar shape, fangs spouting from your gums making it hard to speak, and your legs contorting to the point you can't walk as you used to... that's what it would be like waking up in a completely different species body, and I adore the idea of how Owen would learn to live with his new body.
Julie kinda goes through the same thing, I mean, growing a tail, horns, and fangs is also pretty messed up, but at least she still looks somewhat human. She still looks like herself.
Also, I didn't realized this until halfway through rendering this piece, that I took a lot of unintentional inspiration from @the-derpy-dragon's drakkin character Xander for Owen's design... My bad, I hope you take that more as flattery than imitation.
Anywho, enough blathering, I did a little sketch of them as humans as well to get a nice contrast of what they looked like before the portal jump.

Rarely was a seashell that seemed unusually heavy found. Outer Banks park reveals the unsettling cause
The barrier islands of North Carolina draw shell collectors from all over the country, and the Shackleford Banks in Cape Lookout National Seashore provided a surprising illustration of why. A large shell the size of a fist was discovered lying on top of the sand, the park wrote on Facebook on July 9. This was entirely unexpected since it was on the beach along the sound. Seldom found seashell was suspiciously heavy. Outer Banks park reveals creepy reason
Seashell hunters from across the nation are attracted to North Carolina’s barrier islands and a surprising example of why turned up on the Shackleford Banks inside Cape Lookout National Seashore. “A large, fist-sized shell was found just sitting on top of the sand,” the park reported in a July 9 Facebook post. “This was on the sound-side beach, so totally unexpected. When it was picked up, the…

Morgan's Raid Marker
62 Liberty Street
Dillonvale OH 43917
Dillonvale is a village in Jefferson County, Ohio. The population was 665 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Weirton-Steubenville, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Dillonvale was originally known as Annadelphia, and under the latter name was laid out in 1816. Nothing much became of the town until the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway was built through that territory in 1889, at which time a new plat was made and the new name of Dillon, and later Dillonvale, was adopted.
On July 25-26, 1863, near the end of his Indiana-Ohio Raid, Confederate Gen. John H. Morgan's cavalry forces crisscrossed Jefferson County, Ohio. Gen. Morgan in command of Confederate troops on July 25, 1863, passed Updegraff's Mills then located at Dillonvale; they proceeded northward via "Dry Fork Valley" and Smithfield; pursued by Gen. James M. Shackleford commanding 14th Ill. Cav., First Ky. Cav., 9th Mich. Cav., 11th Mich. Bat'y, 86th Ohio Mounted Inf., 2d Tenn. Mounted Inf.
On the raid’s 50th anniversary, a Three Wars Celebration was held in Steubenville to honor Revolutionary War, Civil War, and Spanish-American War soldiers. The Stanton Monument Association, originally formed to erect a statue of Lincoln War Secretary and Steubenville native Edwin Stanton (completed in 1911), organized the three-day 1913 extravaganza. Along the route of the Great Raid, 14 granite monuments were installed, each about 1,800 pounds, being twenty inches square, resting on a concrete foundation, and four feet high, with a front bevel to receive a suitable bronze tablet 16x24 inches. The Dillonvale Marker is on Ohio Route 150, 0.1 miles west of Main Street, on the right when traveling east.
