World Ocean Day

So Today it's 8th of June and world Ocean day. It's hilarious how people just pop out of nowhere and start accusing our governments and environments are not working to protect the oceans and ask for actions to be taken to Save the ocean. Posting some ocean pictures on their Instagram and Tumblr captioning #happyworldoceanday . These are the people who just throw plastic wrappers and waste on the beach and waters while they are enjoying their pleasent evening on the beach with their partners and pets. Forgetting that they are polluting the ocean.

So please guys don't be that Ocean protector just for today. We need you as the ocean protector and our environment protector for ages so that we can retain our beautiful Oceans forever and make our earth a better place rather than finding an alternative planet to live.

It's you who can decide whether you want to dive into the plastic polluted Ocean or clean and beautiful Ocean.

Nyx Week 2023… Day 5: Sunset!

This is a little longer than my last few, I mentioned on day 3 that my story will be “semi-canon” one of the major points being that Nyx survives the events of Kingsglaive, as is shown in this next prompt ☺️💙

Hammerhead had finally fallen quiet after the chaos of the morning. People were still finding their way to the outpost and were being seen to by the few survivors of the Guard and Glaive.

Nyx had climbed up onto the roof of the Diner to get away for an hour or two. The death of hundreds - maybe even thousands - of civilians, as well as the King and Lord Shield and the treachery from within the Glaive itself weighed heavily on him. He had lost so much. But not as much as some, he thought as he watched Violet step out of the trailer at the edge of the car park, how she had managed to put on a brave face for so long, Nyx would never know.

She saw him sitting on the edge of the roof and made her way to join him.

“It’s getting late, Nyx,” she said as she approached him “it’s going to be safer on the ground” she continued as she sat down to his left. “Your arm should be in a sling” she muttered as she picked up the discarded fabric

“Why? It’s not like I can feel it” Nyx huffed

“Not at all?” Nyx responded with a shake of his head “may I?” He nodded to her, Violet gently took his left hand and held it in both of hers. The Ring of the Lucii had heavily scarred and withered his left arm all the way up to the shoulder, and would have likely spread further if Violet and Lunafreya hadn’t got to him when they did, the damage had left his arm completely numb and immobile.

“I can’t even feel your touch” Nyx admitted quietly, his voice trembling slightly, Violet remained quiet for a while as she closed Nyx’s fingers around her right hand.

“Hopefully the feeling will return, in time, and then we can start working on getting it back to how it was” Nyx forced a small smile at her optimism, he continued to watch her gently hold his hand, her thumb was stroking across his knuckles, not that he could feel it.

He finally looked away from his hand to look out over the desert instead, the sun was starting to set, causing the sky to shift to various shades of red and orange. Yesterdays sunset brought with it death and destruction, todays was quiet and peaceful, despite everything.

The colours in the sky slowly shifted from reds and oranges, to pinks and purples as the sun disappeared below the horizon, the lights around Hammerhead began to turn on as the darkness started to take over. And with the setting of the sun came the cold breeze and the sounds of Daemons echoing across Leide.

Nyx looked down to Violet who, at some point, had rested her head on his shoulder, she looked up at him once she’d felt him move.

“We should head down, see if Cor needs help with anything” Violet nodded and helped Nyx get his arm back into its sling before they got to their feet. Once they began walking towards the stairs, Nyx took hold of Violets hand and gave it a squeeze
