How about nickname hcs they would call their s/o? For Boar, Rat, Dragon, Rabbit, and Chicken please?
Nicknames for s/o:
    Nezumi
It’s more of s/o giving him cute nicknames (like sleepyhead or something)
If he has a nickname for them it’s most likely some sort of inside joke between the two of them
    Usagi
I feel like s/o would have to explain nicknames to him
Cause what dictates as a nickname wouldn’t be something your average person would think of as being a cute nickname
    Dragon
He doesn’t…?
Not really anyways
If he’s feeling particularly extra affectionate (or wants something from them) he might call them ‘love’ and give lots of little kisses
Nicknames (cheesy ones in particular) are more of his brother’s thing
    Chicken
Things like ‘birdy’ or ‘my sweet baby birdy’
But only in private, never in public
    Boar
Really cheesy, stereotypical ones like ‘honey-bun’ or ‘sweetie’
It’s actually really adorable the way she goes about it
~Mod Inquisitor
Bonus: Sumihiko, often called/referred to his wife as ‘lamb, his lamb, or his darling lamb’.

"GUYS! GUYS! GUYS! GUYS!" Niwatori shouted happily as she stormed into the living room, where 10 of the 11 other Juuni Taisen Warriors were just hanging out.
Ushii was sitting on the couch reading a book. Sharyū and Nezumi were playing chess. The Twins were cleaning their weapons. Uuma was making a Ship-in-a-Bottle. Hitsuji was playing a game on his phone. Usagi was playing with a couple of bunnies that he, erm, "Found" recently. Tora was painting her nails. Inounoshishi was texting her lovers.
"Guess what I found out!!!" Niwatori said excitedly, jumping up and down as she did.
Ushii kept his eyes on his book when he asked, "Did you hack into the Juuni Taisen's data-bank again?"
This caused Niwatori to stop jumping, a guilty look appeared on her face, and she then said meekly, "Umm, well... Kinda... *Now in back in an excited tone*. But that's not the point! I found out when Dotsuku's birthday is!"
This got everyone's attention.
Hitsuji paused his game before looking up and asked, "You hacked into the data-bank for that? You know Dotsuku's going spike your meal with some nasty poison when he finds out before the next time it's his turn to cook."
Niwatori's feathers furrowed when she said, "Oh come on, don't tell me you guys aren't itching to know when Dotsuku's birthday is?"
Ushii closed his book, stood up, and started walking out.
Tora watched the Ox leave when she asked, "Where ya goin'?"
Ushii glanced at the Tiger and stated, "Dotsuku has made it obviously clear that he wishes to keep his personal life separate from us, and I respect him enough to not to pry. Therefore, I am removing myself from the immediate location to respect his wishes." With that, the Warrior of the Ox walked out of the living room.
Sharyū moved a piece when she said, "I kind of agree with Ushii-san. If Dotsuku-san doesn't want us to know anything about his personal life, just let it be. He'll tell us when he's ready or wants to. If you're planning on doing what I think your planning on doing, making a surprise birthday party for him is going to be a bad idea. Check."
Nezumi looked at the board before saying, "Besides, aren't we trying to get Dotsuku-san to open up to us? Pretty sure a surprise birthday party will undo all the progress that we're already made. *Moves his Knight* Check."
Tora then vocalized, "They got a point, ya'know."
Niwatori puffed her cheeks when she said, "Spoilsports."
~}i{~
Later... Niwatori found her conspirators for the planning of Dotsuku's surprise birthday party. The Twins, Inounoshishi, and Usagi (the Warrior of the Rabbit was more interested in being a closer friend to Dotsuku than the party) agreed to help the Warrior of the Chicken. While Uuma did wish them luck on their project, he didn't want to get involved planning. Dotsuku was a good cook and the Warrior of the Horse wanted to be able to eat what the Warrior of the Dog made without worrying about poison.
Now they had to do the most challenging part... Since Duodecuple found out that Niwatori hacked the Juuni Taisen's data-bank, he somehow managed to reset the entire system so she couldn't re-enter it. Therefore, they needed to get information from the source... Meaning they had to talk to Dotsuku...
How are they going to get the information they needed without tipping the Warrior of the Dog off about their plan?
~}i{ The Next Day }i{~
Dotsuku blew on his freshly brewed cup of coffee before taking a small sip to test the temperature. Right now he was just waiting for his next job assignment from the Juuni Taisen so he was staying at the building complex that the other lived at until then.
'I really need to figure out where Uuma gets the coffee,' Dotsuku thought as he sat at the table in the kitchen while slowly sipping the hot drink in hand.
While the Warrior of the Horse didn't talk much, he somehow knew where all the good stuff were located in the city.
Dotsuku set his coffee down as he picked up a newspaper. Before he could open the paper, the Warrior of the Dog smelt something. He groaned softly before saying loudly, "No, I will not go on a date with you and No, I am not interested in helping you with any of your lovers."
Inounoshishi was standing behind the Dog Warrior in the doorway.
She walked in as she asked, "Goodness, how do you always know that it's me?"
Dotsuku opened the newspaper when he said, "You're the only one here who has the audacity to spray way too much perfume on your person." He was NOT going to get into an argument over how awful the perfume smelled because the Dog Warrior wanted to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and read the paper for a bit before his next mission.
Inounoshishi gave a proud smile as she sat across from the Warrior of the Dog and asked, "Say Dotsuku, what do you get a guy who has a big dog?"
Dotsuku growled as he held the newspaper higher to block his view of the Warrior of the Boar and snapped, "I believe you were told about NOT using sexual innuendoes inside the building or around the kid and Rabbit."
Inounoshishi huffed in annoyance before saying, "Why did you assume that I was using innuendoes?"
"Cus you usually do," Dotsuku stated plainly in an annoyed tone. He just wanted to relax and read.
Inounoshishi scoffed and stated, "Okay, okay, I usually do, but I wasn't this time. I met this hot guy and he has this big dog that he adores and I figured that the best way to get him to join my herm is through his dog."
Dotsuku raised a brow when he looked over the newspaper and asked, "And you're asking me about this because?"
With a smug smile, Inounoshishi said, "Well, you ARE a big dog, are you not?"
Dotsuku scowled as buried his nose back into the newspaper and snapped, "Then ask a dog expert. I only have canine attributes, NOT the interest of them, Pigs-for-Brains." He took a sip of his coffee, trying to ignore the Boar's pestering questions about dogs.
Lucky for the Warrior of the Dog, his mission came in as soon as he finished his coffee and he was glad to leave. 'What the hell is wrong with that Pig?' Dotsuku thought as he placed his coffee cup in the sink and left. The Warrior of the Dog sighed and thought, 'On second thought, I think I'm better of not knowing.'
Inounoshishi 'tisk' as soon as Dotsuku was out of hearing range. She didn't get anything she could use for the party.
~}i{ Niwatori's Turn }i{~
"Neh, neh, Dotsuku-san~," Niwatori chined cheerfully, making sure to get the Warrior of the Dog's attention as they headed towards the Juuni Taisen Building.
"What could you possibly want now Birdbrain?" Dotsuku snapped in an annoyed tone. They'd just finished their mission and the Warrior of the Dog really wanted to grab a cup of coffee and relax a bit before heading home. Dotsuku really didn't want to deal with the noisy bird right now.
That was when Niwatori sprung her plan into action, "Neh, neh, I won a free cake cupon at a nice bakery."
Dotsuku rolled his eyes, kept his back to the Chicken Warrior, and said in an unamused tone, "Good for you."
Niwatori puffed her cheeks before saying, "I can choose any kind of cake I want, but I can only pick one flavor."
Dotsuku growled and said, not really changing his tone, "So?"
"Listen first!" Niwatori whined a bit before saying, "I can only pick one flavor, but I can't choose just one flavor, they're all so~ yummy in their own way~." The Chicken Warrior made sure to add a smidge of drama to make it seem like she was being her usual self.
"Again, so?" Dotsuku said without much care.
Niwatori puffed her cheeks again before saying, "Oh, come on. They're all delicious, I can't just pick one."
Dotsuku growled a bit before turning towards the Warrior of the Chicken and saying, "Are you admitting that you're incapable of making personal choices?"
Niwatori turn pink before saying, "Th-that's not true! I just happen to like a lot of flavors! That's all!"
Dotsuku rolled his eyes as he turned away and stated sarcastically, "Sure, sure."
Niwatori now went with her plan B. She smirked when she said, "Come on, there are so many good things about a lot of flavors. Vanilla may be simple but it is amazingly good when it is used right. Strawberry is deliciously sweet and refreshing. Chocolate is just a wonderful flavor that is beloved by the entire world. Red velvet just melts in your mouth with each bite. Cookies and cream is a delicious crunchy bite with each mouthful. Oooh, and then there is the yummy flavor of mochi!"
Dotsuku rolled his eyes again when he said, "That's nice, now just pick one and you can get your cake."
Niwatori puffed her cheeks, yet again, before she said, "Oh, come on, how can I pick just one out of all these amazing flavors? Besides, I was thinking about getting a nice big cake to share~." She was hoping to at least get him to slip up and drop a hint about his favorite flavor.
Finally seeing the point where he was to split with the Chicken Warrior, Dotsuku said as he waved her off without turning towards her, "That's your problem. And asked Tweedledee and Tweedledum to have some of the cake with you, I doubt they'll say no." With that, he left without ever giving Niwatori a glance.
The Warrior of the Chicken really puffed her cheeks out in annoyance this time. She didn't get any information she could use for the surprise birthday party.
~}i{ Dragon and Snake's Turn }i{~
"Yo, Puppy!" Dragon shouted through the Juuni Taisen living building the moment he saw the Warrior of the Dog.
Dotsuku growled in annoyance before taking a sip of his coffee. That was when Dragon and Snake plopped themselves in a pair of chairs across the table from the Dog Warrior. 'Why are all the annoyances pestering me today?' Dotsuku wondered to himself.
Snake slid a questionnaire towards Dotsuku. The Warrior of the Dog glanced at the piece of paper, raised a brow, and looked at the Twins. That was when Dragon stated in a matter-of-fact tone, "Some rich dude is having a trivia contest with a sweet grand prize."
Snake then added, "You're smart, right? Something like this should be easy for you."
Dotsuku narrowed his eyes at the twins and asked, "And you two aren't doing this yourself, because?"
The twins then said in unison, "The trivia isn't in our specialties."
"And why would I even bother with this trivia for you two?" Dotsuku asked in an unamused tone.
"How about a piece of the grand prize if we win?" Dragon said with a smirk.
Dotsuku raised a brow before looking over the questionnaire. The Warrior of the Dog picked up at a nearby pen and started writing on the questionnaire. The twins gave each other a quick "Got'im" glance before turning their attention back on the Warrior of the Dog.
Once Dotsuku finished the questionnaire, he slid it back to the duo and said that he'll see them tomorrow before leaving.
Dragon and Snake quickly looked over at the questionnaire that they had carefully constructed in order to pull personal information from the Warrior of the Dog subliminally. When they read the sheet, they realized that Dotsuku answered the bare minimum of their questions and somehow avoided leaving personal preferences. At the end of the questionnaire, the Warrior of the Dog wrote: "Not falling for this stupid crap Tweedledee and Tweedledum."
The Twins looked at each other. How'd Dotsuku know what they were trying to do?
~}i{ Usagi's Turn }i{~
Ummm... Long story short, Usagi forgot about questioning Dotsuku when the two raided a lab with a lot of animal test subjects. Lots of cute, innocent, little bunnies that needed new loving homes.
Yeah, to say Usagi forgot about the questioning was an understatement...
~}i{ Next Day }i{~
Niwatori and Inounoshishi were frustrated. They had no information for their surprised birthday party. Usagi, meanwhile, was making new bunny homes for his new 'Little Friends'.
"Hey, hey, chill out," Dragon stated as he lounged on the couch before adding, "So we didn't get any info yesterday, we can always try again today."
Snake was lounging on the opposite end of the couch when he said, "Yeah, we just need to be a little more subtle about our information gathering."
Niwatori's feathers ruffled when she said, "Well, we gotta get the information fast! The birthdate is coming up and we need to get started!"
"Started on what?"
Everyone but Usagi froze and slowly turned towards the doorway to see Dotsuku standing there.
"Started on... Our preparations for our next mission!" Niwatori cheerfully made up on the spot.
Dotsuku raised a brow in a way that showed that he didn't really believe what the Chicken Warrior was saying.
Snake twisted his body to get a bit more comfortable and asked the Warrior of the Dog, "So what'cha doing here Puppy?"
Dotsuku casually glanced at Usagi and said, "I was looking for some of my tools that have gone missing." The Warrior of the Rabbit gave the Dog Warrior a silly grin. Dotsuku then said, "We can't keep all those rabbits, and need I remind you that you're already over the pet limit." Usagi whined and said that he was already started making huts for them. Dotsuku rolled his eyes before saying, "Then you can give them to the ones that are going to their new homes, I'm sure their new caretakers will appreciate it."
This cheered Usagi up right away.
Dotsuku turned to leave before saying, "Just make sure you return the tools to me when you're done with them, alright Usagi." The Rabbit Warrior nodded happily. The Dog Warrior glanced at the others and said, "And good luck on your "Mission Prep", and don't go overboard." He then left.
... That was close...
~}i{ Later That Night }i{~
It was Dotsuku's turn to cook and he made pasta salad with red sauce and chicken for everyone.
"Yum, Dotsuku, what's the occasion?" Tora asked as she rubbed her full stomach with a satisfied smile.
Dotsuku shrugged and said, "No occasion, just felt like making this."
The 12 Warriors' dinner continued peacefully, until Niwatori, Inounoshi, and the Twins felt something in their guts churned uncomfortably. Ushii noticed this and asked, "Is something wrong? You four are looking a little pale."
They waved it off as nothing until it felt like a bomb exploded in their guts. Niwatori, Inounoshishi, Dragon and Snake then bolted out of the dining room shouting something along the line of "BATHROOM!!!"
Sharyū turned her attention to Dotsuku, who didn't seem all that bothered by the four's sudden departure, and asked, "Really Dotsuku-san? You put laxatives in their food?"
Dotsuku smirked and said, "You rather I'd use something more lethal? I wanted to teach them a lesson in meddling in others personal lives, I wasn't planning on killing them."
Sharyū frowned when Nezumi stated, "Let's just be thankful that we have our own personal bathrooms and have a nice quiet night tonight."
Hitsuji took a sip of his drink before saying, "I'll have to agree with Nezumi on that."
Usagi didn't quite understand what was going on, but for some reason, he felt like he was forgetting something...
"Oh, now I remember!" Usagi said out of nowhere, getting everyone's attention. The Warrior of the Rabbit turned towards Dotsuku and asked, "Niwatori is planning a surprise birthday party for you and wanted to know your personal preference to make it really special~."
Everyone just stared at Usagi with sweatdrops on their heads as Dotsuku said, "So that's what their pestering was about... Uhh, I'm not much of a party person, especially loud birthday parties..."
"Oh... Okay... Can we still have cake?" Usagi asked curiously.
Sharyū gave a small smile when she said, "Sure, I'll make the cake."
Dotsuku folded his arms when he said, "Cake's fine, but no candles or that 'happy birthday' song. I don't want to make this a big deal."
Tora pounced on Dotsuku from behind when she said cheerfully, "Aww~, come on~, it's your birthday~."
Dotsuku frowned when he said, "If you don't sing that stupid birthday song, I'll bring some of that sake you like." Tora quickly said, "Deal" without letting go of the Dog Warrior.
Nezumi took a drink of his water when he thought, 'Well, that actually worked out better than I thought. Then again, Niwatori, Inounoshishi, and the Twins made good pawns in this.'

I don’t even know why I’m watching Juuni Taisen
I feel sorry for literally every single one in this and hope that they survive when I know they’re going to die, and I’m still hoping for Monkey to win and wish everyone back to life :(
Sheep’s is a lovely grandpa, he doesn’t deserve to be in this war not in a million years. Actually none of them deserve it
Also Rat is just too cute omfg HELP I want to bite and chew him 24/7

How do you think a game of Among Us between the twelve would go?
(You can add "x reader" headcanons if you want)
Tumblr media
OKAY SO HEAR ME OUT
Nezumi hosts
Everyone votes Usagi off immediately. Game starts and they kill him.  RIP.
Nezumi does have the settings so they don’t know if they got it right or not (they did not, poor Usagi, he’s still having fun being a ghost)
Sharyu is 10/10 focused on tasks, and Sheep followers her around a lot
Nagayuki has this game almost down to a science, as does Nezumi. It’s great, but a problem for the imposters
Takeyasu is figuring out the controls and is easily distracted
EMERGENCY MEETING
Tora is dead. No one can decide on who killed her, the turn passes
Tasks are getting done, but another body
MEETING
Uuma is dead. The group decides to vote off Takeyasu, who denies he did anything wrong. Nagayuki says he did it. They believe Nagayuki.
Takeyasu is yeeted from the game
Inounoshishi is the next to die. Sharyu tries to convince them that Hitsujii is sus. Nezumi covers for him. They decide to vote off Nagayuki, since they think Takeyasu wasn’t the imposter
Dotsuku dies next. Everyone is surprised he made it this far. Somehow Ushii surmises that Sharyu is pretty sus, since she’s manipulated most of the votes. Everyone is just surprised that he’s still playing and not doing awful
Niwatori defends Sharyu. No one gets voted off.
Sharyu dies next. Nezumi accuses Niwatori, and she gets sent off.
Hitsuji dies.
Imposters win
Nezumi and Ushii are the victors. No one is sure HOW THE HELL Ushii did so well. Honestly, it makes sense. He kept asking how to do tasks. They all assumed he was stupid, but he was actually the imposter. Whoops.
Everyone demands a rematch
Honestly, it’s like the actual Juni Taisen, but without all the...real death, and more fun? It brings them all closer.

Juni Taisen Character Design Analysis: Sheep
This is going to be the first of my commentaries on the designs of all the characters in Juni Taisen! I wish I could say there was some logical order to them, but in reality it’s probably just going to be in the order I think of and finish them, haha ;; And some of them might be longer than others... Regardless, I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I enjoy writing them, and here’s the first one!
Tumblr media
Warrior of the Sheep, Killing Deceptively: Hitsujii
(I also highly recommend viewing the original concept art available on the official Juni Taisen website! The little “play”-looking button if you scroll down actually opens up a visual turnaround of the characters that shows their design excellently.)
The overall silhouette is one of the most important parts of the design, as it’s the first thing the viewer will read about the character. In Sheep’s case, when he’s standing, his silhouette is about the same width everywhere, and roughly rectangular. Thus, it feels solid and stable - he may be “skin and bones”, but his amount of experience isn’t to be underestimated.
Standing at 140 centimeters tall, Sheep is the shortest character in the series, which reinforces the feeling of being reserved and deceptive - a smaller character can more easily sneak around without being noticed.
Earthy colors dominate his design. This adds to the feeling of him being an experienced, grounded character, and might also feel “faded” (and thus, aged).
Elements of his clothing that relate to his psychology also include his cloak, and a hat that shades his eyes and face. Both of these obscure his face and body and make it hard to read him psychologically . He’s clearly hiding something (primarily, the explosives all around his midsection - which, ironically, he points out in the presence of all the other warriors in the first episode). The cloak is tattered, a nice detail that makes it feel old and worn. Along with the hat, it also just hints at fragility in Sheep’s otherwise solid design.
I’ll also finish each of these analyses by pointing out the small details that reference their real-life animals! In Sheep’s case, the parts of his design that I could find include his horns, obviously, but also his white hair: typical of an old man, but also visually and texturally similar to a sheep’s wool (maybe moreso in the anime than in this specific piece of art).

Juni Taisen: Zodiac War continues to keep us on our toes as the ones who seem like the favorites continue to get eliminated by their own sheer stupidity.
Getting Into Position: Ox (Ushii), Horse (Uuma), Dragon (Ani), Ram (Hitsujii)
While many others pair up for safety, there are a handful that, after Sharyu destroyed the floor they stood on, scatter about. Of these, most maintain a watchful presence. However, the Ox and Horse find themselves coming face to face. Of which it seems the Horse isn’t ready for what is believed to be the favorite of the match, the Ox.
The Monkey & The Rat: Sharyu, Nezumi
Out of all the people Sharyu tried to craft a peace treaty with, the only one she was able to snatch from the destruction was Nezumi. Someone who, like a handful of those part of this death battle, you aren’t necessarily sure why they are participating. For Sharyu it becomes clear because, despite being a world-renowned warrior, she is more so one for peace than violence. Often times putting herself within war zones to broker peace. As for Nezumi? Well, your guess is as good as mine right now. For while possibly formidable, and smart enough to peep Sharyu set off the explosives, he seems unbothered with the idea of really fighting.
Heck, he even goes to sleep around Sharyu. So either her reputation precedes her or he just really doesn’t care. Which is strange considering they only have 12 hours. That is, in comparison to the last game which had no time limit. So for him to be willing, comfortable, and able to sleep during a time like that, it really makes you wonder if he is any real threat to the others.
The Dog & The Chicken: Dotsuku, Niwatori
But here is the thing with Juni Taisen, don’t over or underestimate people. Those like Nezumi may seem harmless, but realize these are some of the top fighters in the world. They don’t get invited by pick of the hat. Assuming they are like Inounoshishi, they come from families which do this.
Perhaps the prime example is what happens between Botsuku (the dog) and Niwatori (the chicken). Botsuku is someone who produces venom and just him biting someone is fatal. On top of that, his body can produce an antidote to the toxin Duodecuple gave everyone so he is in the best position. Yet, like Inounoshishi, he got cocky. Niwatori is this girl in a skimpy outfit, seemingly nowhere near his level, and he figures with her being able to use the sight of birds, she’d be useful for now. Especially as they hunt Usagi.
However, in the pursuit of using her as a decoy, he decides to give her a non-lethal poison to strengthen her up and guess what? She uses that strength to crush Dotsuku’s skull. Making it 3 down, with two killed because they underestimated their opponent.
Highlights
Never Underestimate Your Opponent
As Dotsuku analyzed Niwatori, like him, I was left wondering how she got into this tournament? Ushii is touted as one of the greatest warriors in the world, Sharyu a peacemaker who will go into any dangerous situation, but what about the rest of these people? Yeah, some are burly, old, and look suspicious but what does that mean? In episode one, we spent a whole episode with Inounoshishi and she was made to look like a bad ass. Yet she ended up the first one killed.
Leading to the question of, can someone win this by luck? Sharyu seems to desire ending the game without bloodshed and considering Ushii seemed willing to do so, she may get her wish. However, getting anything you desire is going to be far too tempting. Especially with the ability to just trick allies into a false sense of security and then just massacre them all.
Now, granted, these are well-trained warriors but we’ve already seen two of the best slip up. Plus, with the jewels being virtually indestructible, there isn’t a reason to show any sort of apprehension. You can drown, blow up, stab, shoot up, or whichever way you want to kill someone to get the jewel. Though, knowing Sharyu, she’ll probably figure out a way to extract it without you dying in the process. That is, if people don’t see her pursuit of peace as an opportunity to pick off people when their guard is down.
Criticism
So, About The Women’s Costumes…
I’m all for some ecchi, don’t get me wrong, but aren’t these supposed to be world class warriors? Why is it the women, and Usagi who looks like a twink, are in such skimpy outfits? Skin tight I could understand for maneuverability, but the women who remain are basically in their underwear. Even Dotsuku is perplexed about why someone who wear such a vulnerable outfit while facing off with a bunch of professional serial killers. And you know when someone in the damn show is asking these questions, something is off.
On The Fence
Dotsuku’s Death Wasn’t Impactful
Fully recognizing there is probably apprehension about creating a pattern we can follow, I must admit not getting to really know Dotsuku before he died made it less impactful. Yes, it was shocking when Niwatori just crushed his skull in, but once the shock was gone it wasn’t hard to hunch off the death and keep it moving. Which might become a problem as the show goes on. We are getting facts about characters but aren’t given feelings. Either in terms of us getting reasons to feel for them or getting to see them as more than highly trained murderers.
Which I foresee to be a problem for if we aren’t given a reason to invest in this character or that one, what is this besides another violent anime? One which may look stylish, have fanservice outfits, and such brutality, but ultimately didn’t say anything. For considering how long it takes to make an animated show, and how expensive it is, you’d think the goal here wouldn’t just be to watch a whole bunch of people die, often due to their own stupidity.
If anything, I’d hope like Danganronpa, we’re eventually going to get some background and build up so when anyone dies, like when Inounoshishi did, there is a real shock. Not just because they died but because you thought they could win or you was at least hoping they’d survive.
#JuniTaisen (#ZodiacWar): Season 1/ Episode 2 “Tricks Both Mongrel and Fowl” – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers) Juni Taisen: Zodiac War continues to keep us on our toes as the ones who seem like the favorites continue to get eliminated by their own sheer stupidity.

JUNI TAISEN:ZODIAC WAR (RU) – Episode 5 – A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
Warrior of the Ram, Hitsujii, is a legendary warrior and previous winner of the 9th Juni Taisen. He was an arms merchant who also made his name on the battlefield, but at the time, his one wish was to see his grandchild’s face. In this new Taisen, Hitsujii ranks the other warriors by their ability and plots a scheme using the poison Juseki crystal, which he somehow managed not to swallow.

Hitsujii as a teacher headcanons
Polite old man so he a very understanding teacher if you don't hand in a project on time if you've been busy or preoccupied
That said, he will not take shit if you try to abuse this or will be concerned about your wellbeing and will call your parents if it keeps happening
He makes sure all his students are okay
Has a new quote on the board for every day that speaks wisdom to his students
He doesn't do hands-on projects so if he ends up with students who struggle with writing assignments he'll try to help them improve because it is an important life necessity
Will surprise his students with how many modern terms and franchises he knows
He does have a grandson after all
He would show his class pictures of him and his grandson but he knows that some students would push on the subject so they don't do anything in class, that's why he doesn't bring it up and only focuses on the lesson
Will put the class clowns in their place, he will not have any tolerance for bullying or annoyances
Despite being an old man, not a single one of his presentations for his lessons are boring
Will somehow make a popular video game into an educational lesson
He also teaches his students moral lessons
Probably tells the class of old folklore or legends that connects to the moral lesson
Secretly admires how Korosensei (from Assassination Classroom) teaches his students, if only he were real
If a student gives him a drawing or a poem, he will keep it and hang it on the wall

Juni Taisen as Youtubers AU
Inounoshishi
-Haul Videos, critics expensive clothing and why it’s better or over priced. weirdly informative.
-Self defense while looking like you’re not trying hard. Also surprisingly informative. Shows how to defend yourself while wearing clothing that isn’t ideal.
Bonus: Special guest on her sister’s parkour videos
Dotsuku
- Does those ‘Dad teaching you how to change a tire’ videos
- Easy cooking videos for single parents, how to shop on a budget.
- Doesn’t have his daughter on very much for her protection, but talks about her using a cute nickname, and shows off any crafts she’s made him
‘Today we’re going to make bacon and maple waffles, but first look at this macaroni art my sunshine made me’
Niwatori
- Bird videos. Proper care of pet bird and facts about other birds.
- Since she has a mental connection with birds she’d be able to get really close to dangerous or easily spooked birds.
- Eventually gets hired by national geographic or something
Sharyu
- Cooking videos, mostly baking
- Does a lot of collab videos with Dotsuku
- Breaks down complicated recipes and makes them in a way anyone can understand
Hitsujii
- He doesn’t have a youtube so much as his grandson drags him on his
- ‘Gramps and I play Among us’ at one point Hitsuji is an imposter and has a small crisis because he doesn’t wanna kill his grandson. it’s really wholesome.
- Gets his own channel at one point but usually to only play games his grandson shouldn’t. Any donations from streams he has goes into a college fund for his grandson
Uuma
- Ships in a bottle, not very many followers but the ones he has he interacts with a lot. people start watching him just to listen to him talk
- Eventually does one or two work out videos
Takeyasu
- Reptile care. Surprisingly informative.
- No one knows how he gets his hands on some of the reptiles he does??
- Really wholesome about his reptiles but switches his personality when talking about people.
- ‘This is a beautiful bearded dragon. She’s about two years old and is a great example of ---- morph. Little do a lot of people know but they actually need a decently sized tank to be comfortable, and FUCK and those DUMBASSES as big brand stores who don’t know SHIT’
Nagayuki
- Does one of those channels condemning big brand electronics and shows how to fix them yourself.
- Does simple programing tutorials
Usagi
- Those really unsettling videos that get uploaded sporadically
- Never the same location, always at night, he’s giggling in the background.
- Camera is unsteady
- Not sure if he’s hunting cryptids or IS a cryptid
Tora
- Does really fun bartending videos
- Subscribers vote on a bunch of random phrases and she has to make a drink to match the name they came up with
- Invites friends over to try it, and it’s surprisingly wholesome
Ushii
- Talks about ancient weaponry  and how to use them
- SOMEONE IS DEFINITLY HELPING HIM, HE NEEDS A LOT OF HELP WITH EDITING AND EVERYTHING ELSE
Nezumi
- Video games
- Plays demo’s and finds a lot of problems  for the creators to fix, usually leaves really nice reviews after he plays
- Subscribers vote for how long he stays awake while playing during live streams
- Collabs with sheep and his grandson a lot
- Terrible at any game that depends on dialogue choices.

But what if Nezumi and Hitsujii played online games together?
What if one of Nezumi’s only online friends was this really nice old man who was amazing at games and he looked forward to him being online after her got out of school every day?  Hitsujii acts as an adult that actually supports Nezumi and his hobbies? Like,  Hitsujii (who goes by some dumb gaming handle) acts as gaming grandpa and support Nezumi where his actual family treats him as a warrior and a warrior only.
Then after the Juni Taisen Nezumi tries to play with him, and he never logs on again. He waits for days, then weeks, and messages him every few days to try and check in. The gaming community they play on starts asking about him too. The one day there’s an announcement on his profile from his son that the old man passed away. Nezumi realizes he’s lost one of the only real friends/mentors he’s ever had. He never figures out the old man was actually the warrior of the sheep.
