I’m so grateful that my piano teacher poured hours and hours into my life so I could learn music. It is a wonderful tool for processing thoughts and feelings...I need to practice and I don’t play seriously as much as I should any more, but it is such a precious gift to be able to sit down and peck my way through some music when I need to. I worked through a couple of worship songs today for Easter and did some thinking. And... I trust in Jesus. I always have and I always will. I gave him my heart, but it is no secret that my faith has been on a bit of a journey these past few years. I struggle, guys. I struggle with how much hurt the greater “church” has caused. I struggle with the little boxes that Christians have put God into... And the hypocrisy? Oh man. That gets me the most. I’ve always internally struggled with so much, but I’ve never really talked about it until recently. For a long time, I’ve not known what to do - or what to think. I feel like I’m starting from scratch. It’s been weird and unpleasant. The only thing I have been able to do consistently is try to show everyone I possibly can that they are loved. Do I still have work to do? Oh yes. Lots! Could I be doing more to figure out my faith? Yes. And I hope I’ll feel like I can soon. But for now- Jesus is it, guys. His love is the real deal. He died for you and for me. And as long as I’m solid in that fact, the rest will come in time. It’s birthday month over here at The Landing!! Junie B is eight and Aggie is two!!! We celebrated with a Culver’s pup cup ☺️ We don’t deserve dogs. Dogs are unconditionally loving and they bring so much joy - especially these sweet pups. Junie has been my bestie for almost seven years now, and she has made my life better in every single way.
