They really had to celebrate the 100th episode like this. Ryan’s disheveled everything, Oliver’s burnt pant leg, the wine spill, the food stains 😂 I can’t wait to see the context behind all of this.
I just love some historians take on the Illiad. Especially the ones considering Briseis Achilles' lover?
Love how they read Achilles reaction to when Briseis was taken as a sex slave by Agamemnon, saw complete indifference besides his hurt pride, saw how in every dialogue he only talked about how Agamemnon thought himself better than him and never about Briseis wellbeing, saw how he rejected every attempt at gaining her back besides Agamemnon begging for forgiveness, and said "Wow, their love is so transparent!"
Then Patroclus dies and Achilles holds his dead body and cries until the Gods at the bottom of the ocean hear him, takes his body into his tent (and into his bed) for days, in a fit of rage kills millions of Troians, madly chases around for Ector, is stopped by the God of the river Scamander, enraged by the fact that he single-handedly slaughtered so many troians its waters have turned red, fucking fought it and won, making the Gods of Olympous shake with fear for a moment, chased Ector around the walls of Troy three times, and when finally Ector stopped and begged for his body to be returned to his father Achilles denies him and says he will feast on his flesh, but not happy ties his dead body by his talons on a chariot and drags him around the wall for days until the fucking king of Troy has to come out and beg for Ectors body, to which finally Achilles calms down, give the son's body to the father, finally arranges a funeral for Patroclus and asks the Acheans to mix their ashes together when they died, and the only thing they could think of was
"Oh yes, such besties. Patroclus! Achilles' best friend, second only to his beloved Briseis 💕"
