KOUTAROU BOKUTO.
“Been awhile since I last drank,” Bokuto cracks his knuckles upon seeing the many selections of beer he gets to choose, fingers twitching eagerly as they hover over the bottles. “Wonder what I should get…”
You sigh beside him jokingly, nudging his shoulder with your elbow, “We don’t have all day, Kou.”
“I’m just looking!” He chuckles, holding his hands up in mock surrender.
He randomly picks up a bottle of Sapporo, rotating it in his hands before nodding to himself, “This seems good!”
You place your hand on the small of his back, guiding him towards the studio for a final run through before the broadcast, “Alright, Kou. Now let’s get this started!”
The NHK film crew do a final mic and sound check when you arrive as a staff member seats you both at the table in the centre of the studio, a pile of cards with questions written on them, two shot glasses and the Sapporo bottle your fiancé picked out lined on it’s top.
After fiddling with the microphones hidden inside your clothes, the crew give you two a thumbs up and rush back to their cameras to start the recording.
Bokuto’s entire body is turned towards the cameras, sitting on the edge of his seat as he eagerly greets the viewers, “Hey! I’m Koutarou Bokuto,” he catches your eyes with a bright smile, grabbing your hand from across the table, “And this is my fiancée!”
“And we’ve been together for three years now,” You finish for him, hands folded neatly on the table, the cameras pan to show off the engagment rings that sits prettily on both you and Bokuto’s fingers.
“Four months engaged.”
“And we’re playing truth or drink!” You and Bokuto announce happily together, smiling at each other before turning your bodies back to face the cameras. The film crew adjust their angles, moving their cameras off their stands to get better opening shots of you and your fiancé.
“You guys ready to play?” The head camera crew member asks, giving you the okay to start the game.
The studio lights illuminate the white backdropped room, enveloping your eyes in waves whenever you stare at the camera lenses for a little too long.
You and Bokuto nod as he shifts his gaze towards you, “Want me to go first, Baby?” He asks, already grabbing his shot glass and the bottle of Sapporo. You giggle, “So eager to get drunk, Kou?”
“I told you, it’s been awhile!” He beams, pouring out the alcohol carefully into his shot and grabbing the top card from the pile on the table.
“What do you like most about me?” he reads aloud, looking up at you curiously, “I’m pretty sure you’ve told me this exact answer before.”
“Have I?” you tilt your head in thought, thinking the question over, “I mean, probably. It has been three years, after all.”
Bokuto places the card face down on his side of the table, combing through his hair, “I think when we first started dating, you told me it was my hair.”
“It is nice,” you agree, causing Bokuto to start laughing and in turn making you giggle as well. The two of you are already giddy and snickering despite no alcohol being present in your systems yet, “But I think now that we’re engaged, I can give a more detailed answer.”
“Oh?”
He leans over the table excitedly, a wide grin plastered across his face, “Tell me, Baby! What do you like most about me?” His hand is still placed atop of yours, the perfectly cut gems in both of your rings twinkling in sync underneath the studio lights, perfectly complimenting you fiancé’s eyes.
You hum in faux thought for a moment before smirking, “Hmm, your muscles.”
Bokuto’s smile drops slightly to a pout, still keeping his bright composure while masking his lowered grin, “Awe, Baby I thought you were going to say something like, real deep and emotional!” He jests, “Like how you love that I make you smile, y’know?”
You throw your head back in laughter, nudging his shoulder with your free hand, “I’m kidding, Kou!” Your smile is genuine when you see how disappointed he was at first at your reply, looking straight into his eyes as a way reassure him.
“Yes, Kou. What I like most is that you make me the happiest every day I’m with you.”
His smile brightens significantly, a chuckle of his own escaping his lips as he leans back into his chair, “Damn, played by my own girl.”
He slides the pile of cards over to you with a mischievous smirk, “Not that I’m complaining.”
You take the top card off the pile and read it over, fingers twirling the empty shot glass in your hands. Your lips purse as you try to contain the giggles making their way up your throat while reading the question on the card, hands quivering in silent laughter.
“Have you ever wanted to fuck one of our friends while with me?” Bokuto’s eyes seem to pop out of his head at the vast difference and shift in questions, turning to the NHK staff while laughing, “Are you sure this is okay to broadcast?”
The film crew nod, to which Bokuto shrugs, “Alright, then,” before turning back to you. “Uhh, can I just like- take a shot right now?”
“You’d rather drink than not tell me?” You joke, pouring out the Sapporo for your fiancé, “Damn, Kou. Do I not satisfy you enough?”
“Of course you do!” He corrects himself hastily, “It’s just, uh..” he leans in closer to you whisper in your ear quietly, “I don’t want to say Atsumu on national T.V...”
Your hand flies to your mouth in shock, shoulders shaking as you try to contain your cackles, “Atsumu?” you repeat in a hushed tone, making sure you heard him correctly. “Him?”
“He’s got nice hair!”
You both start to laugh at how hair seems to be a common appealing trait you notice in people. Shaking your head in mock disappointment, you shove the stack of questions back over to your fiancé’s side for his turn.
“What is the most embarrassing thing you caught me doing when I thought I was alone?” Bokuto asks, reading from the card he picked off the top of the pile and glancing back up at you.
You hum in thought for a moment, pondering the question.
“Uhm, I think that time you were rehearsing your Valentines day speech to me before we went out to eat at that restaurant a few years ago,” you reveal cautiously, “but you were using a pillow with a photo of my face taped on it as a stand-in.”
Bokuto’s jaw drops at the revelation, nearly falling out of his chair from the shock of what you just divulged to him, “You were there? Watching me do that?”
You have to practically fight the cackle bubbling it’s way up your throat, a smile creeping onto your face when you answer, “Yes, Kou. But it was sweet, so I didn’t mention it to you.”
“You kept that a secret for two years?” He asks again, and you nod.
Your fiancé’s face remains stunned for a few more moments before breaking out into a smile of his own, hand running down his face while laughing to himself. “Damn, I must’ve looked so dumb.”
“I thought it was cute!” You attempt to salvage things, giggling as you pick up the next question card, this time it’s for Bokuto.
“What part of wedding planning is the most challenging part for you?”
“The money…” He pouts, taking the card from you to read it over again before turning to the cameras.
“Weddings are so damn expensive— Did you know wedding flowers can cost up to two million yen?” He exclaims in shock, “For flowers!”
You sigh, plucking the question card from his hand and setting aside on his pile with a smile, “This is why you should leave the financial decisions to me, Kou. Our floral arrangements will not be that expensive, I can assure you.”
“Of course, Baby,” he grins, “I trust you completely on that,” his hands move to pick up the next card, lifting the corner and taking a peek at the question before flipping it over and reading it.
“What is something you’ve wanted to try in the bedroom but haven’t told me about?”
“Impact play,” comes your answer a bit too hastily to be considered normal.
Bokuto has a silent stare off with you for a few seconds after before you both break out in hysterical laughter, your fiancé cackling at how fast and prepared you were when you answered while you exclaim that’s why you could never tell him.
“Baby, that was so fast!” Bokuto reels over the table, pounding his fist into the wood while howling with laughter, gripping his empty shot glass in hand.
“Were you— were you that prepared to answer?”
Wiping the tears from your eyes, you make an attempt to defend your response, “I know you’d absolutely wreck me if we tried, that’s why I never asked!”
“I mean…” He trails off, glancing at you and letting his eyes roam your ring finger as a smirk makes it’s way onto his face, leaning closer to you over the table. “We could always try it at home later—”
“Last question!” You interrupt him, pulling the cards over to your side and grabbing the last question from the stack, you see Bokuto’s smile drop when he sits back in his seat from how you changed topics until he sees you wink at him from the corner of his eye.
“What is something you wish to tell me before we get married?”
Bokuto’s eyes light up at his question, holding up his shot of Sapporo and beaming brightly. Despite not drinking much during your game, his cheeks are flushed like he’s been drunk on your love this entire time, eyes crinkling with glee when he smiles.
“I hope I can keep being this happy when i’m with you after marriage,” He declares, “I love you, Baby.”
“I love you too, Kou,” you smile with him, raising your own shot to clink your two glasses together and down them simultaneously, the cool smoothness of the beer running down your throats.
You can feel the mild bitterness on your tongue afterwards, it leaves it’s taste behind even several hours after your drinking game when you two return to your shared home.
But the sincerity in Bokuto’s eyes when they fell on you back in the studio, and the way he gazes at you like you’re the only thing in his world even with the several NHK staff and film members recording your every move washes that all away instantaneously, overpowering it with sheer sweetness.
It’s just not one you can taste as easily as the flavour of Sapporo.
You might not have gotten drunk that night, but Bokuto’s certain he’s been drunk on your love for the entirety of all three years you’ve been together and wouldn’t mind if things stayed like this forever.

MORISUKE YAKU.
“You’re going down, sweetheart,” Yaku warns you with a teasing wink, lifting the bottle of Vodka in his hands to inspect the label, “Playing in the Russian League gives me an alcohol tolerance advantage that you don’t have.”
“I didn’t know just playing in Russia meant you were an experienced drinker,” you hum, playing along with his jokes for the fun of it. “I don’t think athletes are supposed to consume a lot of vodka anyways.”
“Well, you might as well back out now,” Yaku advises, shrugging with a sly grin, one of the camera crew’s members rushes up to fix the loose microphone on his suit before scurrying back to their position.
“Don’t wanna get beaten by your own fiancé now, do you?”
You merely roll your eyes at his antics, a reluctant smile making it’s way onto your face as you realign the messy stack of cards on your table, sounds of the director doing a final run through of lights and cameras are heard around you.
“Yeah yeah, save it for after you get wasted, Mori.”
The cameras start up as the director nods in your direction, indicating for you two to introduce yourselves to the viewers tuning in, Yaku holds your hand as he recites his lines.
“Hi, I’m Morisuke Yaku,” your fiancé beams, giving your hand a comforting squeeze, “And this right here, is my wonderful fiancée, whom I adore very much.”
Even several years later, Yaku’s swoon worthy words have an effect on you after all this time, making you feel like you’re still in that young and eager love stage. Attempting to hide your giddy face from him, you turn to face the camera as well with a wide grin.
“We’ve been together for four and a half years,” You gush, the sparkling engagement band on your finger being shown outwardly when the cameras zoom in for a closer look. “Engaged for eight months, now.”
“And today, we’ll be playing truth or drink,” Yaku reveals to the excited viewers, the cameras change positions to new angles while the sound crew makes sure your microphones are picking up your words.
After signaling to the director that they are indeed working, he asks you two, “Are you ready to play?”
You and Yaku both agree as he opens the bottle of Vodka, pouring it into your shot glass first before he pours out his own, “Hm, what a gentleman you are, Mori.” You joke, noticing he gave you your alcohol first before serving himself any.
“Always, for you.” He sighs dreamily, setting the bottle down beside him and pushing the cards over to you with his familiar cheshire grin. “And because I’m such a gentleman, you should go first, love.”
You stifle a laugh into the palm of your hand at the sudden switch in personality but take the top card off anyway, flipping it over and reading the question for Yaku written on it, “What is one thing you wish I did more of in our relationship?”
He groans, slumping down in his seat with his Vodka in hand, “Fly over to come visit me overseas,” he jokingly groans, faux-booing you with a thumbs down and all as he turns to the film crew.
“Did you know she doesn’t get on the first plane to Russia whenever I ask, can you believe her?”
You merely snicker at his jeers and turn your card over, placing it down on the table beside your shot. “Well I’m sorry, but I’m unable to predict whenever you’ll miss me spontaneously.”
“It’s not spontaneous,” Yaku argues, “I tell you like, two minutes in advance.”
You raise an eyebrow at his claims, “Wanna bet, Mori? I have screenshots.”
“Maybe I’ll just drink to this instead.”
You both giggle as he shakes his head in defeat, taking the next card off the pile and reading out loud the first question for you.
“Have you ever—” Yaku begins to lose his composure as he reads, holding back his giggles before sputtering out, “faked an orgasm with me?”
You burst out into laughter as Yaku discards the card to his side, head thrown back in hysterics while using the table to stabilize himself.
“Well?” He asks, wiping the tears that have begun to form around his eyes, “Have you?”
You begin to reach for your Vodka shot, causing your fiancé to break out into another, more excessive fit of cackles, “Are you serious, honey?”
“Okay well, maybe!” You confess wholeheartedly, raising the Vodka to your lips, “Back when we were first dating!”
Yaku scoffs disapprovingly, but you can tell he’s not seriously mad when you down the vodka and he’s looking at you worriedly, asking if it was too strong for you afterwards.
You dismiss his concerns, saying it’s fine and that you can handle it before he relaxes and pushes the cards back over to you.
“Have you ever had a dream about me cheating on you?” You ask him, Yaku’s face immediately sours at his question, you look to him expectantly and wait for his reply.
“… Ugh, yes,” he begrudgingly admits after a few moments of silence, eyebrows furrowing as he recalls it unpleasantly, “I had a dream once where you cheated on me with Lev.”
“Lev?” You cackle, “The— the 6’5 russian guy from your highschool volleyball team??”
Yaku’s hand moves to his vodka-filled shot glass, “Yes,” he moans, “It was awful. Hope I never see Lev butt-naked in my dreams ever again.”
“You don’t have to drink to this one, Mori,” you giggle as Yaku downs his vodka quickly, not even flinching at the burn, maybe he was right about the tolerance advantage. “Since you answered it.”
“Ah, don’t care,” he groans, wiping his mouth with the sleeve of his suit, “After having to reimagine that scene, I needed the alcohol.”
Yaku takes the next card off the pile of questions skeptically, flipping it over and reading it out loud.
“Do you have any insecurities when it comes to me playing overseas in Russia?”
The question causes you to stop and think as Yaku places the card face down next to him, pouring another shot and sliding it over to you. “You don’t have to say anything, sweetheart.”
His gentle tone reassures you but you shake your head, pushing the vodka away, “No it’s okay, I don’t mind saying it.” Yaku looks surprised but nods understandingly, taking the glass back and giving you the room to process your next words while he remains quiet.
“I think my only insecurity is not knowing if you’re safe while overseas,” you admit to your fiancé. Yaku doesn’t say anything in response, knowing you have more to say as he lets you say what you need while silently encouraging you to elaborate.
“I hate not having you beside me because I don’t know where you are, and I just miss you a lot you know?”
Yaku’s cheek rests against the palm of his hand, concern washing over his face again as he looks across the table to you, “Awe, honey. I didn’t know you felt that way,” he coos, “do you hate whenever I leave for volleyball season?”
You shrug dismissively, the weight of your words beginning to catch up to you as your voice becomes quieter, trailing off at the end. “I mean, I don’t hate it, but like- I wanna know you’re alright while in Russia…”
Yaku’s about to speak when you shake your head dismissively, “It’s fine, don’t worry about it,” before you’re reaching for the deck of cards, already pulling the top question up and flipping it over to read.
Your eyes drag over the words as a pit begins to form inside your stomach. The next question for Yaku causes you to cringe, still reeling from the uneasiness of the last one as you awkwardly ask him, “Have you… ever regretted or had doubts about our engagement?”
Yaku’s face of concern turns into one of astonishment, he looks almost appalled at how unsure you look and sound while asking him.
“Absolutely not,” he states firmly, holding your hand that holds engagement band on it, you can feel the distress radiating off him as he reassures you in a hushed tone.
“I’ve never once regretted proposing to you, and I fully intend on marrying you.”
Yaku’s words dislodge the lump in your throat as you begin to chuckle to yourself, eyes looking down at his hand where the engagement ring he wears that matched your own. “I’m sorry if you thought I was doubting you, Mori. It’s just—”
“You don’t need to justify your feelings,” Yaku reiterates sternly, “I know, okay? You don’t need to explain this on live T.V.”
Knowing he’s only trying to make sure nothing of what you say can be interpreted wrongly later by media, you nod as he sighs in relief with an uneasy smile.
“I think this next question is our last one,” he announces, his smile morphing back into that familiar cheshire grin, the one that always brightens your day. You think he’s doing it in an attempt to lighten the mood, or maybe he just naturally makes you happy.
Yaku picks up the final question card and flips it over, reading it over with a calm smile, “What have you enjoyed most about being engaged to me?” His voice is gentle as he looks up to you, placing the card down on his pile.
“Well, love?” He encourages you, knowing he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable he gives you the choice, “Do you want to answer, or take a drink?”
You’d be a fool to drink at this question, there isn’t anything to drink for here but there’s just so much about being engaged to Yaku that you love that you can’t quite find the words for it. And while the majority of your engagement has been spent with Yaku being away in Russia, it doesn’t mean you enjoy it any less than if he were with you in Japan.
“… I enjoy knowing you will always be with me,” you begin to speak slowly, making sure your words are clear and concise while twirling your empty shot glass in hand absentmindedly.
Trying to fit all you want to say to your fiancé in a few words is tough, but you manage to shorten it enouhh to say all you want to tell him. “Because even while you’re playing overseas, I know you will always come back home to me.”
Yaku’s face unexpectedly heats up at your words, the apples of his cheeks turning bright red as his lips form into a shy and nervous grin, one isn’t anything like the mischievous and playful personality you’re accustomed to seeing while with him.
“I… I love you, sweetheart.” He manages to speak after some time, loosening the collar of his dress shirt nervously, but the smile on his face never falters. “I always have and always will.”
He extends his hand out to you, motioning for you to give him your shot glass. You hand it to him and he pours out some Vodka, sliding it back over to you once full before filling his own.
“Yes, honey,” he whispers unconsciously while pouring his alcohol, and it’s the happiest you’ve seen him all day. From his flushed complexion, dopey smile and euphoric demeanour, he appears to be glowing. Or maybe it’s the blaring lights behind him that are playing tricks on you.
Your fiancé has never looked so sure of himself until this moment, Yaku’s eyes never straying from yours as he raises his shot glass, breaking into his biggest smile yet.
“I will always come back home to you. No matter how long we are apart for,” and to that, you both cheer, clinking your glasses as you toast to your engagement.
Downing the alcohol in unison, the bitter sting of the Vodka attacks your throats relentlessly, but neither you or Yaku care about that in this moment or the next.
The world’s most intense Vodka brewed directly in the heart of Moscow, Russia could never be so strong as to have an effect on either of you when you’re in the presence of each other. You’re certain that Yaku would drown himself in the harshest of Vodka’s if it meant it was all for you.
A little Vodka is nothing compared to what he’d go through for you.
The way Yaku’s entire demeanour changes when with you, the largest of smiles etched onto his face for a side he only shows while you’re with him here, in Japan.
Remaining wholely committed to you even while seperated by land and sea is all a true testament to your relationship, and it puts your heart at ease.
Yaku may not always be at home; but Yaku knows that home is with you, and he knows he’ll always be with you in due time.

KIYOOMI SAKUSA.
“Oh, he’s a lightweight,” you tell the film crew who are adjusting their camera stands nearby as Kiyoomi pulls out the chair at the table for you to sit at, giggling when you hear the faintest muffled groan come from underneath his face mask.
Sitting atop the table is a bottle of Scotch, the deck of question cards and two shot glasses on it’s sanitized surface as per request by your fiancé.
“This’ll be so easy for me.”
“As if,” Kiyoomi scoffs, taking his own seat across from you and scooching his chair forward, “I’ll beat you and then have to hear you drunkenly cry about it back home later for the next several hours.”
“Nope,” you declare mischievously, folding your arms over the table and laying your head in them while looking up at your fiancé, “Hey, did you know Atsumu told me you’re an emotional drunk?”
You can see Kiyoomi’s eyes twitch underneath his thick black locs, hand reaching to grip his hair in annoyance. “That fucking—”
The director interrupts him unexpectedly when he calls to the rest of the crew in the studio for everyone to take their places behind the cameras, Kiyoomi sighs deeply as his shoulders relax and he leans back in his chair waiting for the broadcast to begin.
“I’m Kiyoomi Sakusa,” he states to the viewers plainly, barely acknowledging the cameras pointed straight at his face when he motions to you, “And this is my fiancée of almost a year.”
You can hear the way his voice softens lightly when referring to you as his fiancée.
“We’ve been together for four years now,” You welcome the viewers much more warmly than your fiancé does, announcing eagerly, “Engaged for eleven months, and we’re playing truth or drink!”
Again, you’re a lot more excited than Kiyoomi is when the director asks, “You guys okay to start playing?” but he agrees to it nonetheless, the subtle nod of his head doesn’t go unnoticed by you.
Kiyoomi grabs the stack of cards full of questions and shuffles the deck around a bit, when asked by the director why he did so he answers, “So if anyone planted any weird questions at the top of the pile for her they’re pushed to the bottom.”
After reorganizing the cards, Kiyoomi hands the stack to you, letting you have first pick of the game. You try to argue, but he doesn’t listen.
“Ladies go first,” he says, expectantly waiting for you to start.
You take the first card of the newly shuffled deck and begin to read it for your fiancé, “Favourite memory of us, pre-engagement or post-engagement?”
Kiyoomi taps his empty glass against the mahogany of the table repeatedly for a brief moment, thinking it over before letting out a deep sigh-turned groan, reaching over and pouring out some Scotch for himself as you sit back in stunned shock at his actions.
“Wait, what—”
“Don’t question me,” he rasps, lowering his face mask and downing his shot with ease, there’s hints of floral notes in the Scotch he can taste.
He pulls his mask back up seconds later and looks up at you, you swear you can see a smirk forming under his mask from the way his eyes lift in amusement afterwards, causing your cheeks to heat up at what he could’ve been thinking about that he had to take a shot to get out of saying it.
Finishing off his Scotch, your fiancé takes both the top card off the deck and his empty shot glass before reading aloud his first question for you.
“What was your first impression of me when we met?” Kiyoomi reads monotonously, his stare hardens when he notices you jokingly reaching for your shot glass, tossing the card over to your side with a groan.
“Really?” He huffs, arms crossed over his chest and glaring halfheartedly at your tease. “Didn’t Motoya say you like… hated me at first or something?”
“I didn’t hate you,” you giggle, pouring the Scotch into your glass while avoiding your fiancé’s gaze, “I just.. am a little thirsty right now.”
“Haha,” Kiyoomi laughs dryly, watching as you down your shot quickly, the citrusy notes in the Scotch make it pleasant to drink. “You’re soo funny, dear. Must be really thirsty today.”
“I am,” you wink, placing your glass back down on the table before taking the next card off the pile.
“What is the most embarrassing nickname for me you have in mind?” Kiyoomi asks, and you snort.
“It’s only embarrassing because Atsumu came up with it…” you turn to the cameras to whisper to the viewers, facing your fiancé who’s giving you a skeptic look that soon turns into existential dread when you begin to snicker.
He groans, “I swear to god if it’s Omi-Omi—”
“It’s Omi-Omi.”
You can practically feel the annoyance radiating off of Kiyoomi while you bat your eyelashes innocently at him, playful shrug of your shoulders as you pull the cards back over to your side, taking the next card off the deck while your fiancé whispers something about killing Atsumu at the next practice from across the table.
“What colour or colours are your favorite on me?” You look up at the director almost immediately before Kiyoomi can even open his mouth, “Can I just say it— Because I know.”
The director nods, “He told me once it was black and gold,” Kiyoomi mumbles something incoherent under his breath, whatever he’s saying being muffled by his nask as he hides his face away from the cameras, the camera crew exchange a look amongst themselves.
“Aren’t those the colours of the MSBY Black Jackals?” One of the crew members mentions offhandedly and you smirk, looking over to your flustered fiancé with the most shit-eating grin you can muster, “Yes, yes they are.”
“Should’ve just let me answer instead,” he mutters while pulling out the next card from the deck to move the game along, coughing as his face slowly returns to it’s natural colour.
He chuckles when he reads it over, “How would you spend an entire week without me?” he turns to the cameras with his own smug face, placing the card down on the table. “She doesn’t.”
“I can,” you interject and he gives you a deadpan stare, “Yeah, can. Doesn’t mean you do, though.”
“Anyways,” you swerve back to your answer, taking the card from his side and reading it over yourself.
“I would have a very relaxing week without you, consisting mostly of singing and dancing in our empty kitchen without you to judge me.”
“I don’t judge you.”
“Yes you do.”
“Nope.”
You two could probably have this back and fourth for hours on end but you stop when you catch the director’s eye, one of his assistants motions to you hurriedly that it’s nearly time to end the broadcast.
With that in mind, you pick up the last question card, flipping it over and reading it for Kiyoomi.
“What’s one thing you’d like to tell me at the alter if you couldn’t say anything else.”
“That I love you,” Kiyoomi says almost immediately, tracing the rim of his shot glass with his ring finger delicately, you can hear the gentleness in his voice when he speaks. “And that I hope you’ll always be my lover, whatever that means for us in the future.”
“That’s more than one thing, Kiyo.”
“I don’t care.”
You scoff playfully, tossing the card aside and pouring out two shots of Scotch for you and your fiancé. Whilst handing him his glass your rings bump together momentarily, the clinking of the diamonds makes the two of you smile, though Kiyoomi’s is hidden underneath his mask.
“Cheers, my dear,” he mutters softly, lowering his mask again to drink and allowing you to finally see the beautiful smile he hides underneath, usually reserved only for you.
“Cheers, Kiyo,” and you two drink, the Scotch tastes lovely and refined on both of your tongues when it runs down your throats with ease.
It’s light and sophisticated, and the flavour profile fits Kiyoomi so well. You consider telling him that, but refrain because you think he won’t understand what you mean; not knowing he’s thinking the exact same about you.
Kiyoomi thinks you two may be a match made in heaven, if such a thing exists then it perfectly encapsulates the two of you.
As the cameras cut and several crew members rush around the studio, Kiyoomi doesn’t notice any of that in this moment— his gaze continues to be locked onto you wholly; lovingly enraptured by the beautiful image of you across from him that he hopes will be burned into the back of his head like the taste of this Scotch, but for many years to come and not just a mere few hours.
Kiyoomi can drink Scotch at any time he pleases, but being married to you is something he is excited for and craves everyday of his life as the days on the calender tick down to your wedding, it keeps him motivated to continue each day if he knows it’s just one day closer to a life with you, one where he knows you will be with him every day going forward.
The day you two will finally be united as one. Kiyoomi can’t wait for that morning to come, when night falls and after the ceremony is done he can finally refer to you as his wife and not just his fiancée.

TOBIO KAGEYAMA.
Tobio gulps upon seeing the Sake being poured into his shot glass by the NHK staff member, being handed the alcohol before they pour out another shot for you, to which you graciously accept with a smile and nod of your head.
“Uhh…” His piercing gaze reaches across to you across the table, nervously fiddling with the glass in hand as he twirls it inbetween his fingers, “I don’t, really hold alcohol well, love..”
“Really?” You stare at him blankly, squinting down at the alcohol in your own shot, “what do you drink in Italy then, Tobio?”
“Limoncello,” he sighs, “but it’s supposed to be sipped slowly, not downed like shots usually are.” He makes a face as the thought of attempting to drink Limoncello like shots ripples through his mind, it would most definitely not end well for him.
You chuckle and give him a reassuring smile, placing your hand over his gently. The diamond on his ring is cool to the touch when you run your thumb over it, with sharp and well defined cut corners. “You’ll be fine, Tobio.”
He nods unsurely but allows the NHK camera crew to do their final run through, making sure everything is in order before the cameras begin to roll and the director is motioning for you both to recite your lines.
Your fiancé’s voice is a little strained, a faint stutter can be heard as he speaks slowly, “I’m… Tobio Kageyama,” he manages to say before craning his head to his left, across the table.
“And I’m her fiancé,” his eyes shift towards you as you give the cameras a polite wave, “We’re playing… truth or drink.”
“We’ve been together for five years,” You excitedly tell the viewers, holding up your ring finger to show off the dazzling diamond atop it, “And engaged for two.”
The director asks from out of frame, “Why have you two been engaged for so long?” A question that most viewers are probably wanting to know, Tobio answers it for you.
“I wanted to marry her sooner,” he timidly admits, looking down at his lap to avoid the harsh glares of the camera lenses, “But with me playing in Ali Roma, it’s hard to plan things out, I guess.”
You nod, “Besides,” you chime in giddily, taking over for him, “It’s fun to be in this little engaged stage for a long time, makes everyday that bit more exciting.”
You ramble on about how fun it is to call Tobio during his off days; calling him at three in the morning in Japan while in Italy it’s 7PM to tell him about a cute floral arrangement you saw earlier that day while shopping that you’d love to have at your wedding.
Facetiming him in the dark of the night, wrapped in blankets and wearing his highschool volleyball jersey to ask him what kind of food from Italy he wants to incorporate into the wedding menu, and texting him photos of different style of wedding dresses you’re considering wearing on your big day while getting out of the shower.
You unintentionally forget about your jittery mess of a fiancé while you speak, beaming as bright as the glowering studio lights as Tobio looks at you amazed.
Tobio’s nervousness slowly fades when he sees the ring on your finger and just how happy you are to be engaged to him. It’s always been a worry of his that you hate the long wait to get married to him, that playing overseas would hurt your relationship because of long he is away from home at times.
But your gleeful joy in telling thousands of viewers in real time that you love just being engaged to him for two years; that you don’t mind it at all, brings some peace of mind to his fragile heart.
“Are you two ready to play?”
Knuckles slowly unclenching as he takes a deep breath, he nods his head to the director, indicating the start of the game. He starts first, picking up the first card from the pile.
“What is the most awkward date we’ve ever been on?” Tobio’s face drops immediately upon reading, turning the card face down on the table and turning to the director, “Can I start over? Or make her drink?”
“It’s her choice if she wants to answer or drink.” The director answers.
Tobio turns to you hastily, eyes practically pleading with you not to say what you have on your mind, he’s already inside your mind and fears for what you could potentially reveal on national television, causing you to erupt in a fit of giggles as you reach for the Sake.
“Fine, fine. I won’t say, Tobio.” You’ve never seen your fiancé so relieved, almost seeing the metaphorical weight lifting off his shoulders with your own eyes when you take the shot.
The Sake is sweet, like sticky rice. It’s feels cool when it hits the back of your tongue and nice to drink, reminding you of the Italian sweets Tobio would send you from Italy. Noting that they’d pair nicely with Sake, you consider getting Tobio to send you more of them in the mail soon.
“You owe me for that one, Tobio,” you chuckle after finishing your shot, “Whatever the next question is you have to answer it.” He groans in protest but agrees after some convincing as you reach for the question pile and grab your first question for him.
“Have you kept a secret hobby or interest hidden from me?”
Shockingly, Tobio nods his head and unexpectedly calm about the question he was supposedly ‘forced’ to answer, “I got into gardening when I first came to Italy.”
“You what?” You utter, delightfully surprised at this revelation, “What plants do you take care of in Italy?”
“I have a few hanging Boston Fern and Ivy in some pots around my apartment…” Tobio tells you, adverting his gaze from your eyes the more your smile grows towards him. “I didn’t mean to keep them from you, I just… forgot to mention it everytime we call.”
“Tobio…” You laugh at how empty headed your fiancé can be at times, sometimes you think he’d forget his head if it weren’t secured to his body. “We call almost every day!”
“Yeah, but you usually call me late at night!” He defends himself, “I don’t normally leave my room that late at night, so you never see them!”
You shake your head in disbelief at this, faux disappointment at your fiancé for keeping this interest of his hidden for so long, “When I visit you in Rome, you have to show me these plants, deal?”
He nods in approval at that arrangement, a small smile creeping onto his face as he takes the next card off the deck, “Have you pretended to like a gift I gave you when you actually didn’t?”
You consider reaching for the Sake but reel your hand back at the last second, deciding to tell him straight up.
“Yeah, the lingerie you sent me a few months ago.”
“You didn’t like it?”
Tobio’s mouth hangs open, visibly swallowing his shame away as he sets the question card down on the table, a hand running through his hair in deep thought.
“Okay well, didn’t like isn’t the right word per se—”
“Was it the style?” Tobio begins interrogating you sternly, brows furrowed and that determined look in his eyes you’re so familiar with while watching his volleyball matches.
“Was it the colour, or was it too flimsy? I tried going to a new store that time, I knew I should’ve just stuck to the other one—”
“Tobio!”
He’s immediately brought out of his thoughts by your cackles, blinking as he’s focused on your laughing figure in front of him. His cheeks are tinted a dark shade of red, thinking he’s said something embarrassing when he whispers a low, “Yes, love?”
Through fits of giggles and laughter, you barely manage to sputter out, “It was just the wrong size, babe!”
Tobio’s eyes widen significantly at the reveal, looking down at his hands where his engagement ring sits comfortably in his ring finger, feeling his body shrink in on itself further into his seat while you’re howling across from him.
If you were seated beside each other he’s sure you’d be slapping his arm too for good measure.
“C-can we move onto the next question…” He mumbles just above the microphone strapped to his dress shirt’s minimum level to pick up sounds. If his old highschool teammates were here— if Hinata were here, god, he’d never hear the end of it. “Please?”
Finally settling down from your giggly high, you vaguely nod, still catching your breath when you reach for the next question card on the pile and flip it over as Tobio tries his best to calm down his reddened face.
“What is the most romantic thing your partner has ever done for you?”
After Tobio’s managed to relax himself, he thinks the question over, chin in hand as his gaze lands directly on the Sake bottle on the table beside him where he gets lost in thought while mulling over the question.
“I think…” he mutters to himself, “When you told me it was okay to go play in Ali Roma, instead of discouraging me to stay in Japan.”
His answer legitimately surprises you, “Is that, really your response, Tobio?”
He nods, hands reaching up to the nape of his neck. “Yeah… I don’t know if romantic is the right word, I guess.“
“But knowing you were there to support me; even if I could tell you were scared for me going overseas, it felt like the most romantic gesture someone could ever do to me.”
Tobio blinks, suddenly remembering his words are being broadcasted on national T.V and coughing awkwardly, “Uh, yeah, that’s my answer.”
He begins to notice the gazes of the rest of the film crew and director that are burning right through him, feeling the colour returning to his cheeks.
Tobio looks over to you anxiously, finding you with the brighest eyes he’s ever seen, he could get lost in them if he stared into them long enough. You purse your lips for a moment, before a smile blossoms across your face.
“Wow, Tobio,” you breathe out dreamily, “That was… so sweet of you to say,” Tobio has a hard time meeting your gaze, you can tell he’s still feeling anxious so you grab his hand and force him to look you in the eye.
“I will always support you, okay?” You tell him firmly, he’s a bit startled at how forward you’re being but nods before you quickly add, “Even if I don’t like being so far away from you, you don’t need to worry about me. Don’t be so nervous about this, alright?”
Tobio’s lips quiver into a strained frown before he sighs, “It’s not that simple,” you feel his hand give yours a light squeeze for comfort, interlocking his fingers with your own. “I wish I could just… not be so worried for you. But I love you too much for that.”
“Loving me means you understand that no matter what, I am right behind you,” you voice to him directly. “Maybe not physically, but no matter where you go, I will follow eventually.”
Tobio goes silent for a few seconds, even when he knows dozens of people in this studio— hundreds of thousands are watching him live, he’s only looking at you; having eyes only for you. With a shaky nod of his head, he finally manages to crack a smile.
“I understand.”
Releasing your hand from his grip, he pulls his next question for you from the pile, looking far more relaxed than he did at the beginning of your game. He’s comfortable in this stage of your relationship, even if he knows that others think it’s strange— the distance between you two, the long engagement period.
He knows the only opinion that should matter to him—that does matter to him is yours alone.
“When you hear my name in public, what comes to your mind?”
“That you have done another amazing set,” You answer with ease, allowing yourself to feed his ego for once. “Or won another game, who knows at this point? You can do it all.”
Tobio seems satisfied with that answer, even uncharacteristically relishing in your praise. “Ah, I am pretty good at volleyball, aren’t I?”
You lean over the table to punch his shoulder lightly, a teasing grin dances on your lips which matches his own, “Yeah yeah, you’re welcome for being so supportive of my fiancé.”
“Well thank you then, love.”
One of the camera crew’s members motions to the director, indicating it’s almost time to wrap up the broadcast. Feeling at peace, you grab the final card of the question deck, eyes flickering to Tobio as you read.
“Anything else you’d like to say to me about our engagement?”
Tobio takes a deep breath, steadying himself before he speaks. He wants to make sure he tells you everything on his mind, but maybe that will have to wait for another time— a more private time.
One that isn’t being broadcasted on national television. So he’ll settle for the next best course.
“I just wanted to say…” He hesitates for a moment, his mouth opening and closing at times until he can find his bearings. “That being engaged to you has taught me a lot of things.”
You’re about to say something in response until he holds his hand up, indicating he isn’t done yet.
“And… I wouldn’t mind if we stayed like this forever.”
Tobio notices the slight look of confusion in your eyes as he continues, “Wh-what I mean is, uh… even though we aren’t married yet, you make me so happy that I feel like I could be okay with what we have.”
“I still want to marry you!” He blurts out worriedly in an attempt to explain himself, “But knowing you’re not bothered by how long we’re engaged for is enough to reassure me that no matter how long we wait for, I’ll still be as happy as the day we marry.”
Tobio shuts his eyes, burying his head in his hands from sheer embarrassment, “Fuck, that was so stupid sounding-”
“Hey now..” You pry his hands away from his face with a pout, leaning across the table’s surface to cup his cheek, “That wasn’t stupid, that was sweet!”
“Really?” He asks, unsure if he believes you, “I’m not really good with my words, y’know.”
“Well I understood what you meant,” you smile, pressing a kiss to your ring finger and placing it on your fiancé’s lips, “And I feel the same way.”
Tobio’s face erupts into a bright scarlet red as you pour the two of you a shot of Sake each, downing them together with your rings on prominent display for all of Japan to see.
Your fiancé is still quite popular in Japan despite now playing overseas, overhearing the NHK film crew and the thousands of viewers who tuned in were watching his broadcast with you while dying in laughter.
It’s not laughter to mock him however— as he soon finds out when after the cameras cut and he can still hear the staff talking about how adorable he looked during the live special.
And his old highschool friends blowing up his phone, sending him clips of his broadcast with hearts and kissy face emojis, but you swear to him that it’s all well intentioned. Maybe not Tsukishima’s to some extent, but nontheless.
All Tobio knows he can do is sigh, turn his phone off and settle into your arms after everything’s been said and done. His time in Japan is limited after all, he has to fly back to Italy in a few days time.
He knows it hurts to leave you again, and you hate sending him off at the airport. He wishes he could marry you immediately— but there’s still so much to be done until that day can arrive.
Tobio doesn’t know when the lucky day will come when you can instead wear a wedding ring on your finger rather than an engagement ring, but as Tobio has discovered today; the two of you will be okay until then despite it all.
It takes a lot to make Tobio anxious about your engagement, but it also takes a lot to shake the strong foundation the two of you have built with each other over the years.
The two of you have planned your future with each other as the main component of it all in the centre of it for as long as you can remember, and he’s prepared to withstand any obstacles that threaten his happiness with you.
Tobio is at ease knowing you have his back, and he has yours even while separated by thousands of miles of stretching oceans and ground.

KINKTOBER EVENT
Tumblr media
You love teasing kageyama. Whether it's palming him under the table at a restaurant, making tears brim his eyes when you continue to overstimulate him, or being blunt with your words about how you want to just bend him over the nearest desk and fuck him till he can't think anymore. All three would result in kageyama flushing red and letting out a needy whine, stuttering out a quiet response.
And today is no different. With your focus solely on the work in front of you, you almost forget about him on your lap. That's until kageyama lets out a whimper, wrapping his arms around you tighter.
"Are you alright, kageyama?" He whines at you. Here he is, fully naked and on your lap with your strap stuffing him full. The tip is just barely touching his prostate and it brushes against it whenever he moves just a little, each time making him leak out pre cum from his hard red dick. It lays against your stomach and he tries his best not to move, wanting to be good for you. He's been cockwarming you for a while now and he's lost track of how many times you've edged him.
A mere hour or so earlier you were working on stuff you needed to finish until Kageyama kept begging you to pay attention to you. So a suggestion of him cockwarming you, some edging, and teasing now has you here. The tip of Kageyama's ears burns, not thinking it his neediness would result to this.
"ah! y-yeah i-im mmph! fine!" You let out a sigh before putting your pencil down and running your hand through his hair. You suddenly grab a fistful of it and pull it back, making kageyama let out a gasp as he throws his head back. Your other hand roams down his body to grip his thigh, giving it a squeeze.
In this new position, you're able to see kageyama much better. His face is flushed red and his eyes are hooded as he looks at you. You look at his dick and how pre cum continues to leak out of it like a broken faucet. The substance continues to drip down his dick and to the base. Ragged breaths escape him and your eyes trail down to where your strap disappears into his ass. The feeling of your eyes down there makes him subconsciously squeeze around your strap, making him let out a small moan. So needy.
"Really? It seems like you're falling apart on top of me already though from what I can tell." Kageyama lets out a cry when you grab his hips to slam him down on your strap, a squirt of his cum spurting out of his dick and staining your shirt. There's no warning for him as you continue your actions.
"s-shit o-oh my god! let me cum, please!" Kageyama lets out a sob when the strap hits the spot inside him that makes his toes curl and back arch back against the desk. When you keep going, kageyama begins to think that you're finally going to let him cum and pleas and begs flood out of his mouth. That's until you stop. He cries out before looking at you with tears brimming his eyes.
"Y-You're so mean, [name]! Stop t-teasing me!" He cries at you, trying to subtly grind against your strap as he paws at your chest. It's been the same thing over and over again. You pay attention to your work for a while before finally paying attention to him. But it doesn't last long cause all you do is edge him close to his orgasm, make him think each time would be the time that you finally let him cum, before stopping altogether and ruining his release. Then you go back to your work as if nothing happened.
You coo at him, cupping his cheek. You feel him lean into your touch with a pout on his lips. How cute.
"But you just make it so easy to be mean to you, baby. You let out those noises I love so much and you're just so pretty when you cry. I can't help teasing you." Kageyama shoves his head into the crook of your neck, hiding his red face. You hear him sniffle and he grips onto your shoulders for support.
"I-I keep getting so close! It h-hurts, [name]." You begin to mark his neck, leaving bite marks and hickeys here and there. Afterwards, you admire how the colors of the marks compliments his skin so prettily. While a part of you feels bad for edging him for a while now, another part wants him to beg for it more, to make him cry.
"Don't you want to be good, though? Wanna be a good boy for me, yeah?" He whines and nods hastily. Of course he does! "That's what I thought too. Good boys do what they're told don't they? So how about you let me do it again, hm? One more time, please?" Kageyama's breath hitches in his throat. You raise a eyebrow at his hesitation.
While he wants to be good for you, the pain in his dick and being denied release a couple times now is starting to get to him and he feels his mind getting foggy. Though of course, the right answer is always clear to him. He wants to be good for you.
He nods again but you tap his cheek, wanting a verbal answer from him. "Y-Yes." You smile at him. "Good boy. Tell me when you're close, alright?"
He shivers at the praise but you surprise him when you grab his dick and begin stroking it, the pace immediately quickening. He widens his eyes, the feeling of his orgasm and the need to release quickly coming back and overwhelming him. His noises fill the room and you almost feel bad for your neighbors who would surely hear him. Almost.
He shuts his eyes close and as his release quickly returns back, he's quick to tell you about it. Even though he knows it's going to happen, he still lets out a broken whine when you release your hand from his dick, ripping his orgasm away from him.
Tears are streaming down his face by now and you have to wipe them off his face. His eyelashes are clumped together and his eyes are glossy.
"You're doing so good for me, baby. That was the last one remember?"
He swallows and nods. You admire the way tears streak down his red face. Fuck, he looks so pretty like this.
"Bet you want to cum now right, doesn't it hurt?" Kageyama lets out a quiet 'yes', pouting at you.
"Go on then, put on a show and ride me." You don't have to tell him twice as his grip on you tightens. He puts his calves on the seat and sits up, slowly taking your strap out of him until it's merely a inch away from his hole. He bites his lip in anticipation and neediness. Seconds later he slams himself down on it, the strap entering him in one smooth movement. A scream leaves his mouth as it fills him up to the brim.
He begins bouncing on top of you so quickly that it's almost like he forgot how you two are only on a chair. Sure the environment may not be the best for him to ride you but the both of you barely cares. All you're focused on is him.
You watch as he quickly falls apart in front of you once again and becomes quickly overwhelmed at the pace and intensity he set for himself. But he doesn't choose to slow down, wanting to chase his high as fast as possible. His mouth is wide open and drool begins falling from the corner of it. He looks so fucked out that you can't help but wish to take a picture and savor it forever.
You notice the bulge on his stomach every time your strap enters him and you press down on the spot, grinning when Kageyama lets out a choked moan at the feeling.
"f-feels so good, [name]." There's a teasing grin on your face. "It feels so good as you ride me, doesn't it? I'm making you feel so good, right?" He nods dumbly even though he doesn't even process what you just said. All your words just go in one ear and out the other.
Incoherent words leave his mouth and you struggle to understand what he's saying. Though you don't really need to know how he feels from his words, the amount and volume of his noises tell you enough about how he's feeling.
"[name], please," he whines. He doesn't even know what he's begging for anymore. His hole sucks in your strap so greedily as if it wants more ever time it enters him.
He can barely think properly. All his thoughts are scrambled and instead are replaced by the feeling of your strap and how it's just hitting all the right spots in him. He feels so full and warm that he doesn't even release how he's about to cum.
The feeling of cumming hits his body suddenly and he lets out a wail at the intense feeling. After being edged so many times, it only makes it better when he finally gets to cum. Cum shoots out his dick and it makes a mess everywhere. It stains his chest and also your top but you don't care. Kageyama continues to ride your strap and you realize that it seems like he's not going to stop anything soon. You don't even have to overstimulate him, he's already doing it himself!
The sound of skin on skin is sinful as it floods your ears. It along with his noises are music to your ears and you swear you could hear them forever and would never get tired of it. Praises spill from your mouth and Kageyama whines at each one.
An idea hits you and you quickly push everything out of the way on your desk. Your hands reach for his waist and when you notice Kageyama slowing down, you lift him off you and push him against the desk. Before he could beg you to put the strap in again, you do it yourself and slam it back in him. The new angle makes his eyes roll back and let out a mewl. He chokes on his spit and all he can do is lay there all pretty for you as you fuck his brains out. After being edged so many times, the feeling of overstimulation is heaven for him.
It's going to be a long night and he knows that by the morning, he won't be able to walk properly. Well, it's not like he's complaining of course.

Being their pregnant partner
Featuring Hinata, Kageyama and
Hoshiumi
Tumblr media
Hinata Shoyo x Pregnant Reader; Kageyama Tobio x Pregnant Reader; Hoshiumi Korai x Pregnant Reader
Warnings: Fluff
AN: I guess I’m continuing this series 😌
Hinata
“Babe I’m home!” Hinata called throughout your beach house. Moving to the beach was something he’d always wanted to do and moving back to Brazil provided him with the opportunity.
“Oh great, can you help me get my back?” You asked, appearing from behind the door, swimsuit on and sunscreen in hand.
“Uhh babe what are you planning to do? Go swimming?” Hinata questioned, taking the sunscreen from your hands and rubbing it in your back as you continued to rub it into your growing belly.
“Nope, I was thinking we could play some volleyball! It’s been so long and I know you are just aching to get back on the sand babe,” you confessed as your husband stared blankly at you.
“Umm sweetie, I’d love to play volleyball with you but umm, can you even play in your condition?” He questioned, ripping off his shirt and preparing to head to the beach.
You giggled, “well actually I was thinking more like you play volleyball and I lay on the beach. How does that sound?”
Hinata smiled before kissing your forehead and grabbing your hand, practically dragging you the beach.
Kageyama
“YN what the hell are you doing??” Kageyama shouted, quickly running to grab the ladder that held a very pregnant you on it.
“Tobio what is wrong with you? I’m just changing a lightbulb. It’s not like there’s a fire, calm down!” You scolded, climbing carefully down the ladder as Kageyama tried desperately not to get angry.
“I told you I would change it tonight Yn, why couldn’t you just wait?” He asked calmly as you glared at him.
“Well for your information, I was trying to be a good spouse and help you out. I figured you’d be tired and I didn’t think you’d freak out because I used a ladder one stinking time Tobio!”
Kageyama sighed. He knew you were only trying to help but how could he get it through your mind that he only wanted you to be safe and not get hurt.
“I appreciate it Yn but please wait for me next time ok? You’re really pregnant right now and the last thing I want is for your or our baby to get hurt ok?”
You nodded, admitting the stubborn man in front of you was correct.
“Ok fine but I still get to climb the ladder and you hold it!”
Kageyama laughed, “deal!”
Hoshiumi
“Mmm something smells amazing babe!” Hoshiumi declared as he walked into the kitchen, noticing pots and pans askew aa you hurried around cooking.
“Hey love! Just thought I’d make something special for the most amazing husband and father to be ever,” you grinned as Hoshiumi smiled, kissing your cheek and rubbing your pregnant belly.
As he sat down to eat he realized that this wasn’t an ordinary meal, nope. This meal contained his favorite plum flavored snack crackers. He stared at the crackers and back to you, his eyes now narrowing.
“Ok what did ya do?” Hoshiumi asked as you stood there, a fake look of stunned offense in your face as you ignored your husbands questions.
“What do you mean? Can’t I make a meal for my favorite husband ever?” You questioned as Hoshiumi remained skeptical.
“Well I guess, it’s just that the last time you did this, you told me you were pregnant so obviously I’m a bit nervous Yn.”
You waved your husband off, “well I can’t possibly be pregnant again if I’m already pregnant can I?”
“I guess not,” Hoshiumi responded, resigning himself to finally enjoying the food you’d prepared.
“I mean it’s not like I bought a super expensive baby stroller that you told me I shouldn’t buy but I ignored you anyways,” you smiled as Hoshiumi glared at you, food halfway to his mouth.
“See I knew you couldn’t be trusted!”

BUTTERFLY EFFECT
── ♡ TOBIO KAGEYAMA
❝ very few can proudly say there are happy with the choices they made that led them to this point. ❞
Tumblr media
Your mother always used to say that life revolved around a series of small decisions that escalated into greater things. Your father would argue life is all about coincidences and accidents. You didn’t particularly care for what life is, you just wished you could have a family dinner without meaningless philosophical debates disturbing the table.
Unfortunately, these arguments will resurface in your mind when you are older, standing like a statue as Miwa Kageyama introduced you to her younger brother, the Adonis of Schweiden Adlers, Tobio Kageyama. You try to ponder what decisions and coincidences had led you to pursue hairdressing and have Miwa as your mentor.
“You’ll be attempting your cut on him. It’s a small trim, so there isn’t anything to worry about,” The latter part of her statement seemed to be spoken more towards her sibling, who to his credit, didn’t look too phased about who exactly was going to be holding the scissors to his head. She had whispered to you beforehand that Tobio could have cared less if a monkey was cutting his hair, as long as his hair was “short”. You don’t think it eased your nerves much.
He takes a seat and you drape the gown over his form, fingers trembling as you fasten the velcro. This action that you have done a thousand times before suddenly feels scandalous when it comes to the raven-haired man.
“So did you just want to trim your bangs, and clean up the sides?” You ask. He nods, and you take a quick breath before beginning. Unlike your other clients, the younger Kageyama sits still and silent, his gaze focused on the mirror as you carefully snip at split ends and unwanted hair. The snapping of your scissors is all that fills the empty salon, and you are vaguely aware even Miwa has left for her office, likely having more important things to do than watch your painstaking trimming process.
The moment you finished couldn’t have come sooner, and you step aside to let him have a full view of the finished product.
“Is it alright? Anything you need me to fix up?” You ask cautiously, breath halted as he leans closer to the mirror, lightly brushing his slender fingers against his hand. The lack of change in his expression only worsens your anxiety, until he leans back and simply nods.
“It’s good. Thank you,” For the first time since he arrived, he looks a little shy as you smile widely, and go to unfasten his gown. Within that moment, Miwa walks in from the back room, walking over to appraise your craftsmanship.
“It’s perfect, exactly how I usually cut it,” She compliments, and she turns to her brother with a faint teasing smile on her lips. “Looks like you know who to ask for when I’m too busy.”
You could faint when he simply tilts his head in agreement.
Tumblr media
“Congratulations on your match,” You speak through pursed lips, focused on fixing up the back of his hair that has grown over the weeks he had been preoccupied with training. “It was super intense just watching it from the TV. That last rally had me on the edge of my couch.”
“Thanks,” Tobio responds, “It went on longer than I expected it to.”
Over the past year that you have uprooted Miwa from her spot as Tobio’s hairdresser, the excitement of seeing your celebrity crush had dulled, along with your initial nerves. You never would have expected you’d be able to make such casual conversation with the volleyball player while doing something as mundane as cutting hair. With your growing extroversion, Tobio had also begun giving more lengthy responses to your attempts at conversation, and you realise he’s not nearly as intimidating as he seemed on the court and in the media. He was just blunt, almost to a fault, and it reminded you of how Miwa had been when you first began apprenticing under her. The two apples didn’t fall far away from each other.
“You’re playing against MSBY Black Jackals next, right?” You hum, taking a spray bottle as you begin moving on to the next section of hair. “They say that new wing spiker is debuting that match. They called him… Ninja Shoyo I believe?”
While you were positioned behind him, your eyes lifted to the reflection of the mirror, giving you pause when you saw a smug smile stretched across the man’s lips. You think it's criminal how attractive he looks, even if it’s just his competitive side sparking up. You’d like to see that expression on him more.
“Yeah, and we’re going to win,” He says it like a promise, and you whistle lowly, unable to bite back your smile.
“Well, when you say it like that, I’ve got no choice but to root for you, huh?” Your aching shoulders sag in relief when you finish up his trim, Tobio being your last appointment for the day. You remove the gown from around his shoulders with a dramatic flair. “I’ll make sure to tune in.”
There is a sudden lull in conversation where Tobio’s usual “Thanks, see you” would be. You almost call his name in worry when he doesn’t move from the revolving seat until he beats you to the punch.
“You should watch the match in person,” He states resolutely, and you’re taken aback by his sudden proposition. You break into a nervous chuckle, despite how his stare is set firmly on you, and you try to distract yourself by sweeping up the stray hairs on the wooden floor.
“I would, but I’m sure tickets are already sold out by now, no?” You keep your gaze on the floor, your grip around the broom tightening.
“Don’t worry about it,” He counters immediately. “I’ll send you one.”
You lift your head, midnight eyes refusing to leave your figure. Does he even realise the effect he has on you?
“Okay, then I definitely can’t say no,” You offer him a strained smile and you watch him perk up almost instantly.
“Right, uh, that’s good,” As if finally gaining awareness of where he is, he shifts his weight on his other foot. “I’ll see you then.”
He leaves like he entered, in a whirlwind, and even busying yourself with the menial task of cleaning barely distracts you from Tobio, his eyes, and the excitement in them when you had said yes. Amidst your flustered musing, Miwa takes it as her cue to stroll back into the studio, and you’re filled with uncertainty when you find the corner of her lips quirked upwards slyly.
“Lucky you, huh? He must have really wanted you to watch him play,” What she says next makes your heart drop to your stomach. “He doesn’t even invite me to his matches.”
Tobio Kageyama will be the death of you.

Fainting in front of the team
Kageyama x Reader
Tumblr media
You were the manager.
You were a first year like Yachi. You loved your team and they were very loving, caring, and accepting. you never ever had a problem with them. You had recently been staying up later and studying way harder because exams were coming up.
Not only that, you had to help tutor Kageyama and Hinata. You didn’t mind tutoring them, they were your friends and they needed to keep their grades up in order to keep playing.
The whole day at school you were just out of it. Yachi noticed your dark circles and blank expression and even Tsukishima pointed it out at lunch but you paid no mind. The other first years paid attention to the difference in your body language.
Your speech was slightly slurred and there was a slow in your pace when you walked. You were less talkative and you were yawing more. All signs of sleep deprivation. You did end up falling asleep in your last class but that didn’t help you at practice after school.
The whole team noticed how you weren’t yourself.
You knew you weren’t feeling the greatest. You ended up having to run back and forth a couple times to grab towels causing your face to heat up.
At the same time you noticed how everything around you seemed to be muffled.
The sound of talking, yelling, squeaking shoes. You couldn’t make out what anyone was saying. You stumbled over to Takeda and stood there. You started to rub your eyes as you felt them become heavy and your head become light.
Your eyes blurred. This didn’t feel right. Black dots started to appear in your vision and you lost your balance and you fell grabbing onto the bench in order to not hit your head. Once you hit the ground you had completely blacked out and the next thing you knew, you woke up to Sugawara, Kageyama, and Yachi standing over you.
You gasped shot up and ran to the trash can cause at the same time you got a really bad wave of nausea and and threw up.
When you were done you sat down on the ground because your head was spinning and you started crying.
Suga laid you down and put a wet towel onto your forehead while Yachi wiped your tears.
“Y/n, what happened? Are you alright?” Suga asked.
However, you couldn’t breathe you were just trying to catch your breath. This had never happened before.
“I want to go home.” You said with broken sobs. This was embarrassing and you didn’t want to be there anymore.
Kageyama offered to walk you home and so he did. He gave you a piggy-back ride and you nuzzled your face into his neck. He could feel how hot your skin was and it worried him. Once they got to your house he unlocked your door with your keys and lead you to your room.
“I’m gonna get you some ramen.” He said as he sat you on your bed. You could only nod and once he left you changed. You got into bed and snuggled into your blankets.
15 minutes later Kageyama came back with a thermometer and some cup o’ noodles and had fed it to you. He took your temperature.
“39.4°, That’s hot. Do you want some water?” He asked and you nodded again. He came back and handed you a bottle of water.
“I should head out, it’s late.” He said starting to leave. You grabbed his wrist and he looked back at you.
“Please don’t go.” Your face was flushed because of your fever and because of what you just asked. He couldn’t say no though. He’s had a crush on you all school year. He got under the covers with you and you cuddled into him and drifted off to sleep.
He looked at your sleeping figure a softly smiled following with a light kiss you your forehead.
“Sweet dreams.”

Love me back ⊹ ♡
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kageyama Tobio/ afab!reader.
Summary: inspired by love me back by fromis_9. You moved to your new house thanks to college, and one day, as you were preparing to deliver a gift to your neighbour, you encountered said person, Kageyama Tobio. After that, you keep longing to bump into him and slowly get him to correspond to your feelings. But when that does not happen, you plan a scheme with your best friend as the ultimate test to see if Tobio likes you or not.
warnings/tags: afab!fem reader. No use of y/n. Neighbours to lovers. Kageyama really is bad at expressing love. Reader is head over heels. A little bit of physical descriptions but nothing specific like hair color, length, etc. You use Oikawa Tooru to make Kageyama jealous. Oikawa is your best friend.
notes: I wanted to write this since so long ago, Kageyama is one of my favorite boys. As always, this was not proof read so I apologize for any bad grammar. Not necessary but english is my second language so have that in mind while reading. As always my AO3 is here (I post there first).

Tumblr media
It was so utterly frustrating having to look at him all day long, knowing how your heart wanted to escape your ribcage every time you exchanged glances with his dark ocean eyes. You longed to see him every day, whether the sun was at its highest or lowest. You wanted to see him. For him to notice you and to exchange more than just “Hi” or “How are you?”. You’re sure you would have a stroke if he ever said something related to your outfits, which you carefully picked whenever you were going to “accidentally” bump into him.
Being neighbours with Kageyama was going to be the death of you. Your anxiety went through the roof when you thought about him, which was no bueno. Your cortisol levels were so high that your therapist advised you to finally blurt out a confession to him so you could be let out of this misery. But no, you were not that kind of girl anymore. All your life, you were the one who always had to confess to everybody, and you hated not being the one being confessed to. This had a huge impact on your self-esteem and made you doubt if you were loveable enough to be even considered a lover.
You were a nice lover, you thought. It isn’t like you haven’t dated anyone before this crush. Your first boyfriend, Marco, was a nice guy™ and you two had a very nice relationship. The thing is, your first relationship was just nice—not passionate, not vehement, not ardent, not fervent—nothing. Just nice. And it was rare to feel what you felt towards Kageyama; you were sure it wasn’t just infatuation; you could already feel what it really was and what it really meant.
You were Kageyama’s right-side neighbour. You moved by yourself, next to where he lived, a few years ago because of college. You met him on your second day in your new home. He was returning from practise; he looked sweaty and tired. He had a jacket that said “Japan” on it, a volleyball ball on his right hand, and his sports bag on his shoulder. His hair was dark and messy, giving him a certain kind of freshness. You were casually walking towards his house, a friendly gift on your hands, hoping to form good bonds with your neighbours.
He observed you carefully and analyzed you, as if he were searching for something else behind your clear intentions. He did not smile at you, but he did stop walking to face you fully, silently questioning you. So you nervously replied:
“I’m…I’m your new neighbour!” You tried not to yell, but your words came out a lot louder than you intended to. This made you feel wobbly, with the tray in your hands threatening to fall to the ground. “I made some strawberry shortcake for you.” You pointed with your head towards the tray; it was a cute, soft pink platter with a ribbon design. It was trembling slightly thanks to your jitters.
“Thank you.” He bowed towards you, his hair moving with its movements. You paid attention to how his muscles flexed and then relaxed, creating wrinkles in his jacket and sports shorts. “I’m sorry, I don’t have anything for you.”
“That’s not necessary; this was just a small gesture. You dont have to give me anything, really.” You blurted your verbiage out without thinking. What was going on? You usually weren’t this awkward with people. You had confidence, which you slowly but surely cultivated through the years, and it was really hard for your ego to accept that a mere boy could have this impact on you.
He was a handsome boy with knowing eyes; his eyes were hungry to analyze the world around him, and the profound, dark blue ocean that his eyes were had you wanting to explore every nook and cranny in them. He was taller than you—almost 20 centimeters taller, giving him a certain kind of power over you. He had a toned and muscular figure, which coincided with the fact that he was a volleyball player, which you admired. You guessed he played in the Japanese volleyball league, making him a professional at what he did. And that was so interesting.
It just occurred to you that he perfectly could have rejected your dessert, given the fact that he needs to eat well and your shortcake was considered junk food. This fact struck your heart like lightning, making you feel butterflies in your stomach. He looked at you expectantly, waiting for you to pass him the tray. It seems you were in awe for too long because he gave you a frown.
“Right, sorry, here you go.”
"Later.” He said while walking towards his house, leaving you perplexed.
That was the first time you two had any interaction. You took every opportunity you had to talk to him: sometimes you needed sugar, other times you needed a kitchen supply he had, and one time you needed help grabbing something from the top of your kitchen cabinets that you couldn’t reach. Other times you nonchalantly waited outside your home, seemingly sweeping your entrance, while you knew he would return from practise around this hour.
One particular time, he looked strangely dazed and out of tune, which you knew (by observing him so much) was weird. You had your broom on your hand, and the leaves in the cement were in a little pile right to your feet. You kept looking at him without a care in the world, scrutinizing him. This did not go unnoticed by him.
“Do I have something in my face?” He straightforwardly said, making eye contact with you. His back was ever so slightly arched and his hair was sticking to his forehead. His blue eyes were lit up with annoyance.
“Kageyama-kun, are you alright? You look out of it.” Worry seeped out of your words, a tender breeze brushing your hair.
“N—no! I mean, yes! I’m fine” He replied a little bit flustered, like he didn’t expect you to read him so well.
You left your broom on the side of your fence and you started walking towards him until you faced him. Face to face, he had to arch his back a little bit more to look at your eyes, which were full of a weird determination.
“Kageyama-kun I know I’m not your friend, but I can help you if you desire; I’m right next to you, and I swear I will do my best.” You stated that you were dead set on helping him out; even if he rejected your offer, you wanted to let him know you were worried about him. The sun shone on the right side of his face, highlighting his skin in a dance of light and shadows. This made time slow down around you, leaving just the two of you in this odd bubble you created.
“I…” He pouted, averting his gaze from yours as he frowned. “I just had a bad practise, that’s all.” He reluctantly said it in a mumble.
With all the will and courage you could possibly muster up, you walked even closer to him and gave him a big, tight hug, mumbling in a low and serene tone, “You’re still an amazing player.”
He trembled and then squished out of your hug, flustered. “I know!” he yelled, pointing to you with his index finger. ”I won’t lose!”
Kageyama was never socially good, and he was even less good with friends. So he did what he knew best: yell and challenge. You stood still, thinking you fucked up, your feelings bubbling in the pit of your stomach as anxiety started to gain a strong presence in you.
“S—sorry.” You muttered before walking rapidly towards your home, obviously not before taking your broom with you. You stopped on your heels, turned towards him and gave him a bow “Excuse me!” You yelled, leaving him there.
And after that, you both exchanged conversations that tacitly had something behind them. You sometimes thought Kageyama hated you and other times that he merely had to stand your presence, but once you thought he saw you as something else. You wanted him to look at you the way you looked at him, to long for your presence like you did his, to analyze your figure and eyes like you did his. To invite you on a damn date! If he didn’t hurry, you were going to finally accept the advances of a guy at your college.
In the battle of egos, you were not going to lose; you had a strong resolve, and that was: Kageyama had to confess to you. And it is not like you didn’t do anything to achieve this; you kept giving him gifts and kept advising him when he looked troubled. You secretly loved when he gave you attention, even if it was just crumbs. You had the opportunity to know a little bit more about him in every exchange you guys had, craving every chance you had of getting his attention. The feeling of his eyes on you, looking at only you with a certain kind of intent.
This went on for about six months—six long months of crumbs. And you were so not having it that you managed to get Kageyama’s phone number and his socials (you always waited for him to text or call you, but he never did, so you reluctantly had to be the one to initiate the conversation), but even then, you were not certain as to what he felt for you. Did he love you as well? Did he hate you? You were so nervous, uncertainty filling your body to the brim.
So, you decided to do a scheme with your best friend, Oikawa Tooru. This was evil in many ways, as you knew the rivalry Tobio had with your best friend. You met Tooru on a trip to your aunt’s house in Miyagi, and after a weirdly funny encounter, you two hit it off as best friends. You rarely met, but this was no excuse for how close you two grew together. It really was a coincidence that the “stupid setter from Karasuno” that Oikawa often talked about turned out to be Kageyama, which was stupidly funny.
You definitely were not the type to do these type of schemes, but you were desperate. You needed at least a glance that said I love you—a lovingly full of attention glance. And this fact also ashamed you; a guy had you craving attention; he had you in the palm of his hand, and he was so oblivious to it. This simply made you furious; you were not one to give into a guy this easily, and it made you angry that he didn’t show any signs.
So, you decided to carry out your plan. You called Oikawa and discussed with him:
“Tooru-chan, accept, please.” You pleaded.
“Using me! Huh! And to make Tobio-chan jealous! Him, of all people!” He said, frustrated and a little bit offended. “Why him, dear? Why him?”
“Please, Tooru, he means a lot to me.”
“But he is an idiot if you have to go to these lengths to get his attention.” He scolded you.
“But, Tooru, I love him!” You cried over the phone.
There was a brief silence on the other line; you could only hear the faint sound of static.
“You are lucky I’m in Japan right now.” He said, resigning to your plan.
“I love you, Tooru! You’re amazing!”
Happily, you hung up the phone. The plan was as follows: he was going to pick you up for a “date” at the time Tobio arrived home from practise, and then you two were actually going to go out because Oikawa asked to at least have some real time with his best friend. So you texted him with the date and time he had to be at your front door. You insisted on him looking extra handsome that day and reacted with, “I’m always extra handsome! >:c” .
When the day came, you decided to pamper yourself. You wore makeup today; you wore a light pink eyeshadow that highlighted your eyes, applying a little bit of glitter at the center of your lid. You carefully placed your blush to make you look naturally flushed. You did your winged liner and used mascara. You successfully enhanced your natural beauty. You left your hair down, as it was what you were most comfortable with. You wanted to look cute, so you picked a white, flowy dress that made you shine. You paired it with black Mary Jane shoes and white socks, as well as a pearly necklace with a purple gem.
At six thirty, your door bell rang and a text bubble appeared on the screen of your phone: “Open the door, dummy.” . And so you hurried up. You put your phone in your black purse and grabbed a black jacket to pair your dress with. You ran downstairs towards the door and opened it very happily.
“Tooru!” you exclaimed, excited. As you hugged your friend tightly, you peeked over his shoulder and saw Kageyama’s figure approaching. You whispered, "Ok, Tooru, let’s do it. Kageyama’s coming”
You knew you were going to get a reaction from him, but not this one. He stopped, looking between you and Oikawa; he got the clue instantly as he saw you both well dressed. You could swear you saw fire coming out of him.
“Oikawa.” He said it in a low tone, angrily.
“Tobio-chan!” He cheerfully replied.
“What are you doing with her? How do you know her?” He blurted out, arching his brow, walking closer to you.
“Going on a date. Not that its any of your business.” Oikawa gave him an annoyed smile.
“No, you’re not.” You swear you and Oikawa are still in your places, surprised by this. Your heart started to race.
“You’re not fair!” You yelled at him, feeling overwhelmed. “You ignore me, then forbid me from going on a date?”
“I…its just…I." He started.
“You what?”
He then walked towards you fully, and taking you by the shoulders, he kissed you passionately. His hands were not moving, and you were so stunned that it took you a second to correspond with him. Oikawa stood still, a little awkward. He decided to slowly walk towards your door and leave you two to it. He was still going to have his time with you nonetheless.
“Oikawa is not the right guy for you. I am. I think I love you. I want you.”
You didn’t say anything, as those words were the one thing you wanted to hear the most, for the longest of times. And you had it now, and it felt amazingly odd; it was a new feeling that meant your love was reciprocated.
“Oikawa is my best friend. I love you, idiot.”
And then you hugged him, and this time he hugged you back.

kageyama has always been obsessed with the idea of seeing you with a baby bump, you carrying his kids?? it hella turns him on. so that’s how you ended up in this situation, placed in front of a mirror as he mercilessly pumps his fingers in and out of your cunt
“so tight, all f’me,” he says softly in your ear, his voice dripping with lust and need as you moan and whine. “see how your cunt just sucks up my fingers? cant even try to take em out without your walls hugging em and keeping em in place..”
“Tobio please!” you beg, “i need you so badly, cant t..take it nemore!!”
Kageyama just chuckles, “Are you sure, my love?” you nod eagerly in response
“Alright.” he says, unzipping his pants and pulling down his boxers. he picks you up with one hand and places you onto his lap, pushing you down onto his cock.
you let out a very lewd sound at the intrusion in your cunt. “fuck! tobio, fucking hell,” you moan loudly, a soft sound of plea in your voice.
“cmon baby boy, i know you can take it,” he mumbles, before attaching his lips to your neck and beginning to bounce you on his cock.
You moan loudly, pleading and begging for him to slow down but he just growls in response and speeds up.
“Gonna fill you up with my fucking seed, wanna see you full of my kids,” he groans, breath fanning across your neck.
His pace begins to quicken but his thrusts are getting sloppy, showing his impending orgasm. in the same moment you begin to feel yourself about to release, you walls clench down on his cock and he grunts, speeding up and swiftly leading to your release.
“fuck! tobio-“ you let out a strangled cry, trying to warn him though he cuts you off with one final rough thrust and releases into you, thinking its the end you begin to move off his cock, but he places a hand on your thigh. “not so fast baby boy, gotta make sure you’re definitely pregnant.”

Hate
(kageyama tobio x reader)
-
-> in which two highschool students who despise each other dearly, get paired up for a project.
!enemies to lovers!
angst w no comfort
Tumblr media
she never thought the way she felt for him could change.
After all, she hated his guts. From the moment she met him in the school library, she knew that he was trouble. The way he would shout at the shorter orange haired male who was always beside him every single time made her annoyed. ‘couldn’t he just lower his voice or shut up?!’ she thought to herself.  The way he would look at almost everyone who wasn’t involved with volleyball with that bitch face as if he were trying to find a problem with them. ‘Is he trying to pick a fight?’ she would scoff whenever that happened.
To be fair, the feeling was mutual.
Kageyama Tobio hated her guts too. From the moment she refused to help him with his subjects, he basically considered her as arrogant, he never wanted to speak to her or ask for her help again. The way she BOUGHT THE LAST PACKET OF MILK from the vending machine ( which didn’t restock for a week ) made him irritated and unable to focus during his volleyball practice.
They both didn't cross paths or spoke for months till their homeroom teacher made them pair up for a project that they had to do.
Tumblr media
As expected, they both didn't say anything to each other even when they had a discussion going on. The teacher however, didn't seem to get a hint so she threatened them with a failing grade.
“If it wasn't for my grades, I would literally throw a brick to your face.” Y/N muttered to herself. “what?” the look on the raven haired male was full of disgust, “you think I want to be here with you? tsk, shittykawa would be a better partner instead."
The girl beside him scoffed, “what makes you think I want to be here with YOU. You can't even slice a simple math question, we are going to fail anyway because of what a  dumbass you are.”
Kageyama clenched his fist. He had never been called a dumbass by anyone other than his volleyball teammates and sister before. Oh this girl must have had a lot of nerves to say that. Before he could even return an insult, the teacher announced to the class that this project must be done in 3 weeks and is recommended to meet outside of school.
Y/n and Kageyama both gave an annoyed look before packing their bags for dismissal. After school, Y/N went straight to the library to complete all her homework given for the day, her mind not leaving the fact that she had to meet that volleyball obsessed psycho outside of school. Either way, it was for the grade. as long as she doesn't fail, it would be fine. Although she didn't have the setter’s number…
Y/n looked out of the library window to see the boys volleyball gym still practicing. She can't believe she's doing this. She can't believe she's actually going to the boy's volleyball gym just to find the person she hates most. Her hands slid the door open, a whole new scenery flashed across her eyes.
BAM!
The sound of a volleyball smashed the gym’s wooden floor. It was none other than Kageyama who had put all his anger on the ball. “geez… sooner or later this boy is gonna break something." The gray haired upperclassmen, Sugawara-senpai sighed,
“Oh? Who's this? Noya, do you know her?” Suga said to the libero beside him when he spotted the H/c haired girl standing at the door. “nope!” Nishinoya exclaimed, popping the ‘p’.
“uhm, sorry to disturb your training but may I speak to…that guy.. for a while?” Y/N pointed to the scowling setter while the two boys hid their laughs. She didn't want to say it. she didn't want to say his name.
Sugawara quickly called Kageyama over. the male was no't expecting to see Y/n standing at the door of the gym. He went over to the h/c coloured hair girl, ready to throw another insult till he was interrupted by her. “Look, don't get this the wrong way. Its all for our project. our teacher recommended us to meet outside school to complete it so I would need you number to give you heads up.”
“that's smooth.”
“shut the fuck up and just give me your number already.” “Fine.” the setter typed his number on Y/N’s device before turning his back and continued with practice.
Tumblr media
for the first two days, things were not going well, Y/N and Kageyama almost got kicked out of the library for arguing too loudly and they didn't even manage to complete at least one part of the assignment within two days.
On the third day, Y/N had enough. there was no point in insulting him anymore there's no point when the risk of them failing is high. “Yo, I think we should just call it a truce. us arguing is not making progress at all.” The boy just nodded and they both got along with no arguments, no insults.
As days went by, Y/N realised that she despised kageyama for nothing. Sure he was loud and annoying at times but he could be a tad bit motivational when he talks about his love for volleyball. the way his eyes would glim and glitter from thinking about the feeling of setting the ball. the way his lips would curl into a smile when the thought of being able to go back to practice one the project is done made Y/N's heart skip a beat.
who knew the cold, loud kageyama tobio would have such a cute smile.
Before she even realised it, she was falling. falling hard for the boy she once hated. She didn't think that her feelings could change but there she was, lying in bed thinking about him and his silly little sport.
Tumblr media
it was a matter of time till Kageyama found out. the way Y/N acted so differently around him made him wonder if she actually thought of them as friends.
the day the project was due, Kageyama couldn't wait to step foot in the gym where he'd almost planned to stay there overnight. Half way through the practice that he had longed for, The raven haired boy was called out by one of his upperclassmen, “Someone is finding you outside, kageyama, you can join back later alright?”
Much to his surprise, His former project parter was there, back leaning against the outer wall of the gymnasium as she crossed her arms waiting. “I thought you said you’d never want to see me again?” Tobio said, startling her, “what gives?”
“I know i said that but… i guess people change, i think?” She fiddled with her hands, “Look, i used to hate you. You and your addiction for volleyball. You and your scowling face. But, working with you for this project made me realised that i was just judging a book by its cover.”
Y/n shifted her eyes to the sandy ground.
“I think i like you kageyama.”
no response. The girl lifted up her head only to greeted with the sight of the the boy, covering his mouth as if he was trying to hold his laughter. "W-Whats so funny?"
"I was just pretending to be nice to you so we would get a passing grade, i did expect you to fall for me. HAHA you should have seen your face when you said that"
oh.
The setter's words stabbed Y/n's heart like a knife. Of course it was an act. after all, he hated her. She stood frozen, shoulders hunched as she lowered her gaze once again as if the weight of his words pressed her into the ground.
Y/n clutched onto her school bag, "It was a prank by the way." she retorted, turning around. "i didnt expect you to be that mean, kageyama." As soon as she said that, the girl walked away with a heavy heart.
Kageyama watched as she quickened her pace and disappeared from his horizon before returning to practice. Unbeknownst to him, his teammates were eavesdropping on his conversation, crowding around the setter when he stepped foot into the gym.
"Either way kageyama, you were too harsh with her." Hinata chipped in. Kaegeyama grabbed the shorter male by his hair causing him to yelp, "What do you know, dumbass."
"Hinata's right, kageyama. poor girl was holding back her tears." Suga patted him on the shoulder as he looked out the window. kageyama followed his actions.
"she said it was a prank."
"I really doubt that, kageyama."
Tumblr media
why couldn't he do anything?
"I think I like you, kageyama"
he was at loss for words, unable to say anything. He wanted to tell her 'i like you too' but when he opened his mouth, that disgustingly awful sentence came out instead.
-
It had been weeks after the 'confession', Y/N completely ignored him whenever he tried to approach her just like the past.
All he wanted was to apologise.
she would never know that.
the confession was real.
he would never know that.
they would never know that in every other universe, kageyama tobio and Y/N L/N would always fall in love.
they would never know.

haikyu boys when you overwork yourself
volleyball player!reader
characters included: kageyama, oikawa, suna
kageyama tobio:
i feel like as someone who works super hard at his sport he’d totally get it
but he’d still be concerned
like if you were working yourself to the point where you’re exhausted to death after training and can barely keep a convo from tiredness
so you’d be waking up at the crack of dawn before the nationals season
then you’d barely have energy to talk to him cause you’re so tired
and he notices this continues for a while
one day he walks in to your school gymnasium looking for you and sees you practicing jump serves
and there are like hundreds of balls on the other side of the court indicating how much you’ve practised
and he sees you sweaty as shit, shorts riding up, thighs literally shaking from the amount of jumping you’ve done
he finds it kinda hot though
he’s still worried about you because you actually look EXHAUSTED beyond reasonable
so he’s had enough of his gf being stressed over nationals and low on energy and with sore muscles all over but still training hardcore
as i said he’d totally get it bc he does that too but seeing it on his precious volleyball playing girl just hits different
so while you’re on your tenth serve (since he got there), he strolls over to you and calls out
“oi, stop overexerting yourself. your body’s not gonna make it to nationals if you keep pushing it too much. and i don’t like seeing you so stressed and low on energy.”
but then without waiting for you to respond, he grabs your wrist and drags you to your gym bag
helps you pack up and carries the bag for you
then holds your hand and pulls you out of the gym amidst your protests
“you’re not training anymore today. relax. have a good dinner. you haven’t done that in a while.”
then he brings you to your fav yakitori place
when you’re there, you order your favourite rice or noodle dish, and you both share a shit ton of meat
tobio lectures you over dinner over how you’re overworking yourself
but he also shows he cares a lot he’s so cute
“hey. you’re an amazing player. don’t stress and overwork yourself unnecessarily. i love you so take care of yourself.”
then he insists on paying for both of you
THEN he brings you for some absolutely banger dessert
you go home and he runs a hot bath for you, then massages your aching muscles
i feel like his skilled setter hands give good massages for some reason
anyway he literally releases all the tension in your muscles
and then cuddles you to sleep and makes sure you don’t get up at an ungodly hour to train again the next morning
overall super caring and concerned for you
oikawa tooru:
remember how i said kageyama completely empathises with you overworking yourself
yeah well oikawa gets it even more
but he definitely sees that you’re overworked and he gets concerned
i think he’d actually help you in training though
so for the fifth evening that week (it’s friday), you’re staying back till what must be eleven practicing with your teammate
said teammate is just tossing the ball for you to practise setting
oikawa gets upset when his precious sugar angel honey pie (sorry but that’s such an oikawa way of thinking) isn’t home in his arms to sleep
so he gets up and goes to your school gym to look for you
you’ve been there every day that week, he’s just had enough now that you didn’t even come home at his sleeping time
so there you are on your god knows how many-eth set and he bursts through the door
when he sees you doing some setting, he feels his setter passion and also his “she’s my gf i love her” passion and goes to help you
he corrects your form and all that
oh and he dismissed your said teammate the moment he got there lol
but after 5 minutes of helping you out he brings out the lecture
“babe, you’re working too hard. i know you’re worried for nationals but rest is necessary. you haven’t had a proper dinner at all this week, think i didn’t know?”
you respond to him, “but i have a proper lunch before training! and—“
“and nothing. you’re overworked. you’re not sleeping enough either, but you’re still training this much. 5 more minutes and we’re going home.”
when you get home he’s literally pampering you
ran you a bath and had food delivered while you were soaking in there
fed you in bed, then cuddled you
trains with you the next day (saturday) so he can regulate how much strain you put on your body and make sure you stop before it gets too intense
also because he loves you and wants so spend time with you lol
brings you for a lunch date and makes you have an afternoon nap with him
suna rintaro:
you’ve been working super hard for the tournament
there’s like a month till the season starts
your team has been having endless friendly games where you’d play like ten sets
but your team mates would actually ask for bench time when their muscles ache and throat tightens because they don’t want to over exhaust themselves
but you and your passion makes you stubbornly stay on for all ten sets
and your coach advises you against it but no way you’re gonna listen
and you’ve been overworking yourself since long before that days match btw
suna’s been missing having you as his dinner date but you’ve been insisting on staying late for practice
he keeps telling you not to overwork yourself but you keep telling him you aren’t
on a sunday, he asks you out for a cafe date, but you decline because you’ve got a practice match scheduled
despite thinking you’re wayyy too exhausted, he knows how much practice matches mean to you for your experience, so he lets you go without any protests
but halfway through the fifth set, as you’re trying to save a ball, you have an off landing
and you hear a nasty ass crack in your ankle
you convince yourself it’s just a small twist and it’ll wear off once you stand up and get moving, but you find yourself unable to get off the floor due to the pain
against all your protests, the coach orders you off the court and gets your teammate to help ice and elevate your ankle
after some examining, it’s determined that it’s a minor sprain, nothing too serious that’ll keep you from playing at the tournament
but coach still tells you to stay away from training or any exercise requiring you on your feet for the next week or so
and you’re sososososo pissed about that because what passionate girlie is okay with missing training??
so you’re sobbing angry tears as you watch your team from the sidelines
because you’re frustrated with yourself
“like, just stick the landing and don’t be on the bench right now, it’s not that hard??”
doesn’t help that you’re an ace player and not used to the bench feeling
after training, your team mates offer to walk you home to support you and your sprained and aching ankle, but you decline
cause you know who the one person who can make you feel better is
so you sit on the gym floor, dialling your fav number to dial
“rintaro?”
“sup, babe? your practice over?”
“yeah, about that…”
suna picks up on the disappointment in your tone and knows smt didn’t go right
you tell him how you sprained your ankle and can’t exactly walk properly and how you declined your team mates offers to walk you home cause you know he’s the one whose presence would make you feel better
so he’s up and going (to your gymnasium)
when he gets there, he sees you on the floor with your foot propped up
you look downcast, so he calls out to you as he walks in and squats next to you
“told ya you’re overworking yourself. ankle sprains are a stress injury, you know.”
you grunt as he goes to pick up your duffel bag and slings it over his shoulder
then, he holds his hand out to you, and you pull yourself up, standing on your good foot
he sees your struggle to stand, and sighs
then, without warning, he just picks you up so that you’re hanging over his shoulder, just like your duffel bag
“what the hell, rin.”
“you can barely walk. and we’re going to the cafe i was going to bring you to. take it as some relaxation. and a make up date for all the time you’ve been away from me. also, you better not overwork yourself and try to train through your injury.”
it kinda takes away from the loving moment since you’re hanging over his shoulder like a dead fish, but you can tell he cares
and it’s sweet, though you know he’s gonna have some kinda told you so recording soon

Kageyama x fem!reader who also does volleyball and is a lot like him. Very angry and acts like she hates everybody, but when it comes to sex she's Tobio's little princess? <3333
Ooooooh yesss that’s so cute lol
This is going to be a Drabble so I’m not going to take the time to paragraph it if it’s going to be super short and it takes me 15 minutes to write. ANYWAY LOVE YOU 👹👹👹👹 I also switched some things around don’t get all bitchy about it though I’m trying my best.
You are a volleyball player who is VERY passionate about volleyball, you’ve dedicated yourself to it and now it is a full time passion. You are devoted and you are always willing to do what’s best for you and your team, taking necessary breaks or working harder whenever you saw fit, you were also strict about certain things, you never let your team slack off and you were definitely a team mom to almost all of them. They all had special places in your heart and you cared for them deeply that was one of the hundreds of reasons Tobio Kageyama fell in love with you, to be fair you weren’t exactly like him he was more…. Well, ridged when it came to certain aspects while you were more round and flexible to other suggestions. But you knew how to stand your ground and you never backed down from a fight, you had courage and you were brave almost never submitting or surrendering to anyone…. Well almost everyone. All of your big “bad” super strict and powerful energy always fluttered away when Tobio had you under him. He always made you feel so weak under him, he was always in control and he had a lot of stamina. You were practically his little princess as he whispered soft things into your ears as you fucked the life out you. “I love you so much.” “Beautiful girl.” “Please don’t be quiet I want to hear all of you.” Everything about it made you feel so special, every time he asked something of you in bed you gave it to him and he loved it, and he loved you even more.

You're pretty when you cry | sub!kageyama tobio
Tumblr media
wc: 410+ words | masterlist
dom!reader, crying (obviously), begging, pegging, gn!reader (though the use of a strap is mentioned)
note : kudos to that one anon who gave me this idea
Tumblr media
"Please please please please-"
"aww it seems like baby boy can't cum." You fake pout, watching as a sob wracks through his body. Kageyama rides your strap with alarming speed as you lay back on your elbows.
He's so so close. So close he can almost feel it. But he can't reach it. He knows he can't. Not without you.
Tears streak down his face as he looks at you with teary, pleading eyes, and oh do you love it when he cries. He's such a pretty crier and it made you want to ruin him just to see tears flow down his face.
"[Name] p-please I-I can't-" You coo at him and caress his cheek as another tear streaks his face. You brush away streaks of his hair that are sticking to his face. "You can't what, baby? go on, tell me."
He sniffs quietly as the jumping slows down. "I-i can't cum.." A blush spreads on his already red face as he looks away shyly. "not without you."
"What's that baby? Can't hear you, you gotta speak louder." He whines at you, knowing full well you heard it perfectly fine.
"i-i can't-" He pauses, seeing how innocently you're looking at him. It's all a facade, he knows that. He knows you want to see him beg for it. "J-Just... Just fuck me please.." A devilish grin makes its way onto your face. Finally, you cracked his bratty demeanor.
"There you go, baby. All you had to do was ask me and I would've helped you. But you had to act like a brat today, didn't you?" He nods his head quietly, pouting at you.
Grabbing his hips, you lift him up quite easily and slam him down, making a mewl leave him at the sudden pleasure. He curses silently as you set the pace to one that's quick, yet brutal. One that hit all the good spots within him. One that makes him scream at the pleasure to the point his throat is raw and his voice is almost gone.
Soon enough, he's begging for release, and tears brim his eyes. And they're almost about to fall.
"Go on baby. You look so so pretty when you cry."
And he does. He cries from the praise, the overwhelming pleasure he's feeling, and just because you urged him to. His eyes roll back and he sticks out his tongue for you. He looks absolutely divine like this; all red, teary, and dumb. All for you.

Sleep - Kageyama Tobio
Tumblr media
AU: Regular
Tags/ Warnings: GN! Reader, ooc Kags (?), more like a drabble than a full story
Word Count: 1.3k
Tumblr media
You'd wake up in the morning and only feel the lingering warmth of Kageyama in your bed. Indents in the pillows and crumpled-up sheets were your only evidence that he actually came back from his practises. He was careful not to wake you up, but sometimes you wished he did. Sometimes, the nights where he accidentally nudged you or pulled too much of the blanket were the only time you saw him.
You knew his drive, passion, and love, maybe more than he did, so you understood why he got up earlier than you and why he was home after you were already asleep or on the brink of sleep that you’d only exchange a few words before he told you to rest. You had long days too, and even though you tried to stay up, even if you found it easy to stay up late before, the tiredness of the day would get to you, and you’d fall asleep unintentionally before midnight.
Somedays were better than others. You’d had lunch and dinner dates and special occasions that he took off. Other days you wouldn’t see him at all, and you had a creeping suspicion that today would be one of those days.
It didn’t even bother you that much, you liked having time to yourself and making your own schedules that didn’t necessarily have to fit Kageyama’s, but today you felt it — or rather, you felt nothing except for the lingering warmth and the indents in the bed that made you feel alone.
You’ve lived by yourself before. Technically, you lived by yourself now; this entire week has been a test trial since Kageyama suggested moving in together. You knew that he had late nights and early mornings — you also had late nights and early mornings — but you were starting to feel his absence. You still had your lunch and dinner dates, breaks between his practices, both mandatory and voluntary, and your own schedules, but you expected him to actually be at home.
When you were in your own apartment, it was different. You expected and were comfortable being alone, and knowing that you and Kageyama were together was enough to ease your mind into a nice relationship.
You woke up alone like you usually did. You went to sleep alone like you usually did. But now, the emptiness dawned on you and you felt more were glorified roommates rather than anything else.
Tumblr media
Kageyama looked forward to seeing you today. You were already sleeping by the time he stopped practicing and he promised one of his teammates that he would train with them more in the morning. He missed you. Yes, he slept beside you that night but he hasn’t heard you talk or laugh since…he couldn’t remember when and that was a bad sign to him.
The adrenaline of the practice ran through his blood, and the rush of the final games of the season settled in his bones. Volleyball was his passion, but you were the rest of his life. He was never good at expressing it, but he hoped you knew because he felt like you knew everything.
Which is why when Kageyama saw you pacing outside of the entrance of the gym with your arms crossed so that you could pick at the skin of your forearm, a rush of panic filled him. What could have happened from the time he woke up to lunchtime?
His hand clutched together on the strap of his bag.
“Hey,” he said.
You paused at his voice. “Hi,” you said. You were shifting your weight from one leg to the other, which told Kageyama that you’d still be pacing if he didn’t grab your attention.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“What time are you going to be back tonight?”
Kageyama furrowed his eyebrows. “Probably late. We’re figuring out a new play since we got a new member. We want to get the timing right before our final games.”
You nodded. “I’m going to sleep at my place today, then.”
“Why? Is there something wrong? You know you can just move things around however you like it.”
You bit the inside of your cheek. Kageyama saw you beginning to pick at your fingernails. He stepped forward and encased his hands over yours; they were cold.
“I’m alone,” you whispered. In a stronger voice, with no anger and lingering sadness, you said, “I wake up alone and go to sleep alone. You’re never there, so why am I living at your home, trying to see if we can live together when you’re not there?”
“I—” He never wanted you to feel alone. He felt horrible that he didn’t see it sooner. Kageyama replayed the past days in his mind, and you were right. He thought that things would stay the same; his days didn’t change much, and he got the chance to come home every day to you.
After the moment of his hesitation, you continued, “I can’t even blame you because I know you want to train and that your games are coming up; I want you to train and become better. I just can’t sleep in your apartment again alone.”
“Okay.”
“Okay?” you sounded out.
Kageyama nodded, more sure. “Yes. I’m sorry that I’m not there, I want to be, and I think I can be, just not right now. This is why we're trying, and we can try again another time when things have quieted down. I don’t want to lie to you. I already promised that I’d help my team, and that means being at home less, but I don’t want you to feel alone. If you're more comfortable at your apartment, then go there for now.”
“We’re okay?”
“We’re fantastic.”
You smiled. The tension relaxed from your shoulders, and you held his hand as fiercely as he held yours.
“But,” he said. “I have grown used to sleeping beside you, even if you don’t know I’m there. Can I go to your place instead?”
“Only if you wake me up when you come in.”
“You want me to wake you up?”
“Yes.”
Kageyama made a sour face. “Are you going to yell at me if you do?”
“Nope.”
He sighed. “Whatever you want.”
Tumblr media
You had drifted in your own bed. All of the lights were still on and the warm water that you had brought up to your nightstand was slowly cooling down without having a sip taken from it.  You didn’t hear the keys fitting in the door or the gentle way Kageyama had pulled the door closed and taken off his shoes.
Your room was his first stop. You were curled into a ball near your side of the bed with your eyes closed and the steady rise and fall of your chest.
He hated to do it, but he crouched down beside you and placed a hand on your arm, shaking it carefully. “I’m back.”
You didn’t move. He sighed and shook a little harder. “Please wake up. I don’t want to wake you up, but you asked for this.”
Your eyes cracked open. “Hey.”
“I’m back,” he repeated, smiling. He didn’t like it, but maybe he needed to wake you up too. Just for a moment to hear your voice.
“I see that,” you mumbled. “Thanks for waking me up. Now, go away so I can sleep again.”
Kageyama scoffed. “You asked me to do it.”
He kissed your forehead and stood up. He rubbed his shoulder and headed towards the bathroom to shower before sleeping.
“Tobio?”
He turned. “Yes.”
“Come to bed quickly.”
Kageyama doubled back and kissed you on the forehead again. “Whatever you want.”

Cold & warm
─ Kageyama Tobio x fem!reader
─ Summary: It's a cold winter night and you fiend your friend outside
─ Warnings: none
istg kags is to cute- 🫂
Tumblr media
"Kageyama?"
You murmured looking straight ahead, the silence was such that even though your voice came out too low he could hear you perfectly, his back immediately straightened, getting nervous around you, he wasn't used to dealing with girls, and he still hadn't gotten used to your help when he was on the court, after all, at Kitawaga Daiichi he never had a manager, and even though you and Kiyoko were here, you were more accessible for the simple fact that it was also your first year at Karasuno, that didn't take away his nerves at having to talk to you.
He tried to approach you in a friendly way, because he needed friends, he wanted friends, he had big trust issues after what happened in his old volleyball team, although little by little he started to open up to everyone on the team, it was like run up too steep a hill with you. He was always so nervous next to you without knowing why, it bothered him a little not knowing his reasons but he pushed it aside, his eyes met yours, struggling not to look away as he felt his cheeks get warm.
"Kageyama? What are you doing here so late?"
He really didn't even know it, he just had the impulse to leave his house after losing the last match, as if all his energy had recovered, wanting to train, to run and scream with all his broken heart in the face of defeat. And he went running in the middle of the night until he got tired, arriving at this beautiful park where he decided to stop for a few minutes until you saw him.
"I-I just- don't know?"
You chuckled at his answer, of course, you assumed his reasons for being here because you came from accompanying an euphoric Hinata that you found training while rearranging the school gym, these two idiots were just as predictable, even though the loss put them off for the first few days, you knew they'd fire up again immediately.
"What am I going to do with you two? so careless"
"Two…?"
"Yeah, you and Hinata, rather, I think that all first years are something."
He winced at the mention of the shorter one, still a bit bitter from his last fight with Hinata. You rolled your eyes at his shameless action, noticing how mist came out of his mouth, not only because of the high temperatures in winter but also because of his run, you shook your head disapprovingly when you saw how little warm he was, you immediately removed the scarf that protected you from the cold, raising your arms up to pass it over the head of the opponent, who was left white as paper and still as a rock by your actions.
"There, there, how do you intend to try to win if you catch a cold and can't play?"
"Thank you…"
"Don't worry about that, come on, I'll walk you home."
“I-I'm supposed to do that!
"Yes, you said it yourself, you're supposed to, but as a manager and a friend, I feel obliged to take care of you until you feel well."
"But I'm not sick…? I feel good."
"I didn't mean- you know what? It doesn't matter, just let me take care of you."
You started walking smiling to yourself, a smile that disappeared when you noticed that the boy didn't move from his place, still trying to understand that you meant to take care of him emotionally and not because he was physically injured or sick, you sighed backing up, taking his hand, giving a jerk that made his mind begin to return to the real world. He melted under your touch, getting nervous to have your hand in his, he tightened his grip almost imperceptibly, you didn't take much importance to the gesture, it was something else that made you talk again.
"Your hands are very cold."
You stopped, just like the boy's heart when he saw you take your other hand to the one he already had clasped, you rubbed it a little with a frown in concentration, Kageyama watched in silence as your hands passed your heat making his cold lessen, without thinking, he smiled genuinely, moving his free hand to rest on top of yours, making a four-handed sandwich. You shared a laugh at how stupid you looked in the middle of the street doing that, both of you with your cheeks slightly tinted red.
"Okay, they are not so cold anymore."
You nodded, letting go of his hands, however before you could undo your grip he pressed his palm against yours more, you looked at him for a brief moment, both of you running away from the other's gaze with some embarrassment. You continued like this in silence until you got to his house, at the door he slowly undid his grip, scratching the back of his neck without knowing how to say goodbye, because he didn't want to. He was spending time with you and it was nice, not as awkward as he usually made it, but he couldn't keep you when it was so late, nor did he has the courage to invite you into his house.
"I guess we parted ways here."
"Y-yes."
Cursing himself for stuttering, avoiding your gaze, he fake-coughed, turning to walk to the driveway of his house, but before he could enter the path that led to the front door you tugged on his arm, he turned around in complete confusion, without time to react to what had happened.
"Good night Kageyama!"
You moved quickly, planting a small kiss on his cheek, running away with your heart pounding wildly against your ribcage, leaving the boy paper white again, his brain not taking in the information until his mother opened the door.
"Tobio honey, if you stay there you're going to end up with a cold, oh my god, even you're all red, come on, come on, get in."
"I'm fine mom!"
"Really? Well then, who was the girl who accompanied you?"
"N-nobody."
"And whose scarf is that? I don't remember you having any like it, you should give it back to your girlf-"
"MOM!"
He fled from the living room to his room, hiding half of his face in your scarf, he smelled the aroma emanating from it, turning beet red again thinking of you, he buried his face in his pillow, still with the scarf reminding him of your person, he inadvertently smile thinking that he was starting to warm up to you.

Tobio Kageyama
🥛 Kageyama was oblivious to everything until he started dating you, now he’s oblivious to everything that isn’t you or Hinata. 🥛 You were more of a social butterfly than Tobio so you often did the talking for him so most people knew that you were both together. 🥛 Most people didn’t understand how much he really loved you because he wasn’t one for PDA or proclamations of love, so people often tried to get you to go on a date with them. 🥛 Kageyama did get jealous but he never usually showed it outwardly until you were both alone, unless he thought that someone was being unbelievably pushy and didn’t take no for an answer.
It was a school reunion and while Kageyama wasn’t really interested in going, there were people that you had lost contact with and you wanted to see how they were doing and another part of you was just being nosey.
The night started off well, you talked to people as Kageyama hung behind you only answer questions asked directly to him, everyone kinda knew that him and Hinata would end up being professionals in volleyball so people who talked to him were people who wanted to say they had a famous friend, that is until Hinata showed up, he literally appeared out of nowhere attempting to wrap Kageyama in a hug, you laughed as you watched your boyfriend hold his friend at arm's length. “You two never change.” You shook your head. “(Y/N)! It’s nice to see you!” Hinata cheered as he walked over to you pulling you into a hug. “Did you get taller?” You asked. “Maybe.” Shoyo shrugged. “No, he's still a short ass.” Kageyama said as he walked over, they both started arguing about his comment as Hinata shouted about his most current height. “Are you still with him?” A voice asked from behind you, you turned to see a man that you recognised as Haru. “Haru right?” You asked and he nodded a smirk on his face “to answer your question I am still dating him.” “Not engaged or anything?” He asked. “Not yet.” You answered. “Means I still have a chance.” He said and you stepped away from him with a laugh. “Well it was nice talking to you.” You said giving him the most polite smile you could muster as you attempted to walk away, he reached out grabbing your arm and stopping you from leaving. “Hang on, you haven’t given me a chance.” Haru said. “Yeah and she doesn’t need to, let go of my girlfriend.” Kageyama ordered, when you looked up at him you remembered why people feared facing him in matches, you could see anger in his eyes as he pulled you back towards him and wrapped an arm around you. “Get out of here.” “I’d listen to him.” Hinata encouraged, the guy looked at all of you before turning and walking away. “Are you ready to go now?” Kageyama asked. “Mmm.” You hummed, you said bye to Hinata before heading out to your car, Kageyama opened the door for you and made sure that you were comfy before getting in on the other side. “Are you okay?” He asked. “Yeah, I just wasn’t expecting that.” You answered. “I told you there were people who wanted you back then.” He mumbled as he started the car. “Yeah but you're the one that got me.” You answered sensing jealousy. “Yeah and I’m going to keep you for as long as you’ll have me, I protect you from anything, so promise me if anything like that happens again you’ll call for me, no matter where we are.” He pleaded and you nodded. “I promise.” You nodded, leaning over and pressing a kiss to his cheek “thank you.” You smiled at his cheeks going a soft pink as he started the car grumbling about the type of boyfriend he would be if he let that happen.
