It took a while for Saiki to realize that he had feelings for you, as he keeps denying that he even has friends. However, it was obvious to him that he was nervous around you, despite being able to hear your thoughts.

But you were caring, kind to him, polite to his parents, and despite having a crush on him -that he obviously knew about- you didn’t harass him and try to get his attention, like those other girls who liked him too.

As you were a part of his group of friends, it took him a whole year to confess to you. Well- actually, you confessed to him one day, after you thought you had lost interest in him. « Don’t laugh, but I used to have a crush on you. Like, on my friend ?
