KaiJune 2025 - Day 13: Grinder Really on a kick with these aquatic kaiju this time around... Wonder why.

In the middle of the night, off the coast of Florida, multiple kaiju attacks had been happening. They were odd though, as it didn't seem to be attacking anything specifically, just biting chunks off of buildings then leaving. Last night however, was different.

Finally captured on film for the first time, Jaduro'o is some sort of semi-aquatic kaiju with long claws and flat, broad teeth to crush and grind at large buildings and rocks. Since it had destroyed most of a building, people worried about further infrastructure, but eventually was taken out by recently placed Ascent mechs in the region. Interestingly, the kaiju didn't seem to be eating the various rocks and concrete it'd bitten off the building, actually able to spit them at high-speed at the mechs, though this wasn't enough to stop the Ascent.

After the fact, an autopsy by Eco-K was done to figure out where and what the kaiju was doing, and after aquatic surveys, it was found that Jaduro'o was creating a nest on a nearby island, various rocks and building parts set up in a circle for an empty nest, assumedly for a prospecting female Jaduro'o to inspect if it'd be a good place to nest or not. Eco-K came under fire for not noticing this faster, and has since said they'll take steps to be more proactive in kaiju discovery.

Day 11 of Kaijune, Feast! This one is probably the one I've worked the least on out of all my Kaijunes this year but I think he's honestly one of the best just on concept alone, I don't know I just think he's silly.

Today's prompt was "underwater", so I thought I might as well do as I have done with all the previous prompts and completely disregard it. Above water/ in water is basically underwater, right? And she probably lives underwater, so it's close enough.

One hour for the background, two hours on the Kaiju, 3 hours total.

Background is from another old photo from my files. I don't remember where this is. It's somewhere in Iceland - Sveinn says it might be along the east or southeastern coast.

I might've missed Mermay, but here's a mermaid-y creature anyway. Very much based on the creature in Dethklok's "murmaider" music video. Had the song stuck in my head all night.

KaiJune2025 - Day15: ROB-e1 Wombat

KaiJune 2025 - Day 15: Marsupial I know wombat pouches actually face backwards, but I felt this made more sense logistically.

[This is the prompt list I'm following] ===== BIO:

Made in response to the recent Jaduro'o on Florida, and further spurred by the random appearance of Berymrsta, the ROB-e1(Remote Operations Base - Eco-K [number]), or the "Wombat", is Eco-K's largest machine made to date.

Apparently causing a lot of strife internally, as some believed that making such a large machine, especially one so bulky and having such a large crew capacity was seen as antithetical to their goal of ecological betterment and understanding, as the amount of long-term noise pollution and waste could have detrimental effects on local environments, though the project was eventually pushed through, as it was argued they could more easily set up base in remote or harder-to-reach locations that their larger scout machines would have a hard time getting to, and conventional drones would be unable to reach due to energy demands.

The Wombat itself is a mobile base that's piloted towards remote areas, the n place nearby, but not inside of areas of interest in order to provide more detailed scouting. The mech itself actually contains two much smaller machines: a set of MSD-e00 (Mini-Scout Drone - Eco-K [number]), or "Joey", which can either be piloted by a human, or controlled remotely like a drone. Originally named "Mini-Skippers", the name given to the Wombat led to many calling them "Joeys" instead, and since the name stuck. The Joeys themselves have enough storage room to store a single conventional drone as well.

Eco-K hopes these mobile bases will lead to better early discovery of possible threat kaiju, preventing the same kind of prolonged damage that Jaduro'o caused before it was eventually destroyed.

Funny how Pride Month and Kaijune coincide so it's just appropriate to have a little tribute to everyone's favorite rainbow-shooting giant lizard, Barugon!

Tried making him in the style of Gamera: Rebirth because his exclusion from that series is downright criminal. Why did all the Showa-era monsters get to shine except him?!
