My local Japanese store had the most recent edition of the JoJo magazine, so I bought it soley for this segment about Jotaro’s relationship with the crusaders. The two paragraphs on the bottom explain how Jotaro and Kakyoin have such deep respect for one another, and even mentions how Kakyoin is one of the only people to bring a smile to Jotaro’s face. 🥲

Another thing that’s mentioned that I originally wanted to make a separate post about was how Jotaro was the only one of the crusaders to hear Kakyoin calling out for them upon his return from the hospital.

One might say it’s because Star Platinum is a precision based stand, so of course that would mean he also has excellent hearing. Well, yes, that’s true, but the magazine says it’s because he’s Jotaro’s ‘Best Partner’ and that they have a bond ‘that goes beyond reason’, which is also just as correct (I mean, Jotaro didn’t have a reason as to why he risked his own life to save Kakyoin’s ffs). After all, Jotaro is the only one who was willing to sit and listen to Kakyoin’s fun facts, so of course Jotaro would be the only one to hear Kak’s voice. And Kakyoin will sometimes even speak up for both of them, he’s aware that Jotaro isn’t a talker and prefers to convey his feelings through actions.

Kudos to the author of this article btw, they even pointed out how Kakyoin is so attentive to Jotaro’s opinions on anything. In this panel, Kakyoin exclaims something along the lines of “Let’s hear your opinion, Jotaro!” (I’m too lazy to look up the official translated version, lol).

Kak knows Jotaro so well to the point that they no longer need the words to communicate with each other. They barely needed to say anything when they reunited too!

And this beautiful relationship was formed all because Jotaro was the first person in Kakyoin’s life to show him genuine kindness and dedicate his time to listening and understanding him, and vice versa.

❥ I really think he would be the most understanding (alongside Avdol) and supportive, that's why I'm putting him first

❥ When you two gained a little confidence after meeting eachother, he made sudden physical contact without announcing himself (slapping your back or firmly holding your shoulder out of the blue), which he didn't know would greatly startle you, even if you didn't show it.

❥ Since you explained it to him, he became THE GENTLEST. He tries to be in front of you or at your side whenever he's about to make physical contact, in order for you to anticipate and mentally permit the action.

❥ He caresses your shoulder and back, surrounds you with his arm, occasionally hugs you.

❥ You know the crusaders are trustworthy, and great guys. So you don't feel hesitant to make physical contact with them at all, which is very valuable.

❥ He's the most touchy with you because you two get along very well.

❥ His generally cheerful attitude helps your anxious one.

❥ Not to mention that his simple humor and his goofyness are absolute gold

❥ He makes you laugh a lot with the stupidest puns, and the others can see him inflating his chest with pride from making you feel happy.

❥ Whenever you don't understand a joke, one of the crusaders will always explain it to you. But when Polnareff doesn't understand it as well, you become the clueless duo™️

❥ When you're going to eat at a hotel buffet, restaurant... He always remembers what your go-to foods are, and points them out for you.

❥ "Look, y/n-chan! They have (food) here!"

❥ If you're overstimulated, he'll give you space and tell the others to keep as quiet as possible and not disturb you. He'll literally be your guard knight for the day and remember you he'll help in any way he can.

✦ He hasn't talked with you about the 'tism a lot, because he thinks it must be a tedious enough thing to live with and doesn't wanna pressure you into informing him about all the details.

✦ However, he'll listen attentively and try to remember everything you point out about yourself. Kakyoin cares, and shows it trough his actions.

✦ He likes to gift you emeralds he creates with Hierophant Green, because fidgeting and watching the light refract in them keeps you entertained and helps a lot with stress.

✦ Whenever he notices you peacefully playing with an emerald, he smiles to himself.

✦ Especially when you're watching the sunlight bounce inside the green gem, which is beautiful. And the emerald's pretty as well.

✦ Regardless if you're good at painting or not, he'll encourage you to paint with him in order to decompress.

✦ Mostly abstract or kindergarten level paintings, nothing serious in order to set your intuition and senses free.

✦ When you forget to put on your sunglasses while it's really bright outside, he knows you'll get gradually overstimulated and pissed off.

✦ So he remembers you to put them on, or offers you his own.

✦ Always tries to get you to eat pieces of fruit when they're available.

✦ If you like fruit he'll pick up your favorites, and if not he'll try to pick the most appetizing looking ones and convince you to try them.

✦ "These dates are amazing, they almost taste like brown sugar. Want to try one?"

✦ He'll not force you to try the ones you have tried and don't like, though.

✦ He has helped you on some occasions to regulate sensorially, simply by tying a straightjacket around you with his stand. The pressure feels like a tight hug, and it is strangely soothing, calming you down completely in a matter of minutes. You're both weirdly into it.

★ There's AT LEAST one thing you have in common: You don't like small talk. So being able to sit in comfortable silence with him turns out to be a nice break for both.

★ For that reason, he always listens to you, because he knows you won't talk just for the sake of it. If you bring up something, it's most likely worthy of his attention.

★ His cold behavior makes it seem as if he doesn't care about your sensitivities. However, Star Platinum shows otherwise.

★ As much as an obedient Stand he is, he's always ready to appear against Jotaro's command in order to interact with you.

★ Star has appeared in some occasions to cover your ears with his enormous hands when you're overwhelmed by all the noise in a crowded place.

★ "Give me a break..."

Jotaro whispers, walking by your side while his stand is floating above you. He is concentrating on shielding your ears from the hubbub of the place. Jotaro lets out a sigh with his mouth closed, remotely feeling the soft texture of your hair trough his stand's hands.

★ Star also brings you little gifts. Catches bugs for you to see, picks cool rocks, steals little trinkets to give you. Everything just to make you smile, which warms him to his core.

★ As much as Jotaro acts pissed about his stand manifesting w/o permission, he is actually glad that at least his Stand is able to do things for you he's too embarrassed to do himself.

★ And don't ever bring this up: you've catched him smirking once or twice at his stand's actions. Specifically when he makes you smile.

★"Eat your damn food and drink your goddamn water. If not, don't be complaining about being hungry later, because I'm not letting Star bring you snacks".

★ (Like he can do something to stop him. Seriously SP is out of control ☠️)

★ At some point, you mentioned in front of him that having a bit of weight on top of you normally helps you sleep better. Next thing you know, Star Platinum's snuggling next to you in bed whenever you're struggling to fall asleep.

★ He hugs you with one of his arms and the slight pressure of its weight makes you feel secure. (He's the cutest thing ever I seriously cannot)

─Summary: Everything you touch seems to be doomed to be torn to shreds, your clumsiness doesn't help matters, but the journey can't stop.

─Warnings: none

─ Luck follows you but you are faster.

─ Your hands seem to want to grab something at the least opportune moment, and of all the things that can happen, you always end up breaking what you touch.

─ You really think that one day you will break someone's bone by touching them.

─ Regardless of whether you have a stand or not, you end up breaking things.

─ The boys will be stressed seeing you break something in the middle of something important and attract the enemy's attention.

─ You're playing with Jotaro's patience, if you weren't a valuable member he would have kicked your ass for breaking some of his things.

─ Joseph won't stop making fun of you for that, this man will cry with laughter whenever you smash something, even if it's just a cookie.

─ Surely he tried more than once to throw you at an enemy in the hope that you would break them somehow.

─ Probably the only ones worried about your clumsiness are Avdol and Kakyoin, sometime you will break some part of your body yourself, in fact, your skin is already covered in bruises from crashing into furniture or objects.

─ Polnareff is in the middle, he makes fun of you and worries, he could use you as a wall if a stone goes towards him but he will help you if he sees that you step on your own pants.

─ Iggy stays far enough away from you, he won't even bother attacking you when he's in a bad mood, he knows he'll lose if you hold him.

─ They are definitely not putting their lives in your hands, at least, not if you have to hold them, they prefer to rest on the ground than in your hands.

─ Were you a destroyer of worlds in another life?

─ The good part is that you always have funny stories to tell about moments that were uncomfortable but now funny, you lighten the tension of the trip in these small breaks.

─ Jotaro scolds you a lot because before you can do anything you're already apologizing, it's not like it's your fault that the objects seem to come to life in your hands and self-immolate.

─ You're going to start using your feet to grab things as your problems continue.

─ Although it's just a joke, Polnareff will surely support you with the idea of using your feet instead of your hands.

─ They wonder if you can magically rebuild something that is already broken if you touch it, obviously it doesn't happen.

─ Kakyoin jokes that after the trip you will form a demolition company.

─ Be prepared for a lot of bets on what will be the first thing you break when you arrive at a hotel.

─ Sometimes you even apologize to enemies because you broke something of theirs that was unnecessary to determine the victory of the battle.

─ Joseph seriously thinks that if you die you will cause an explosion that will destroy everything around you.

─ But despite everything, they are happy to have you as a companion, despite your clumsiness and your unwanted destruction, you were reliable, determined and gave moments worth remembering in this adventure.

• He just doesn’t want to lose anyone else :(

• If it’s a more severe injury, broken limb, stab wound, etc. He’s more jittery

• Like if you’re visibly in pain he’s gonna feel awful.

Jotaro Kujo:

• If silent but deadly was a person

• He’s not even gonna have to fight whoever hurt you

• He’s just gonna walk up to them and they’re already on their knees apologizing

• “Don’t apologize to me.”

• Now they’re desperately apologizing to you, and you’re confused cuz it’s just a scrapped knee.

• You’ll have to tell Jotaro that you’re ok and it’s not a big deal.

• Cuz at this point you feel bad for this random guy

• But if it’s a severe injury

• This person is fucked

• He’ll make sure you’re ok, and leave you with one of the other Stardust Crusaders

• And then Star Platinum is killing someone

• And Jotaro is just glaring

• You are not leaving his line of sight

• “Are you ok?”

• You won’t notice, but he’s gonna be hyper aware of what you’re doing

• Helicopter parenting

• He’s gonna make sure you’re happy and safe.

Noriaki Kakyoin:

• He’s very worried

• If it’s something small, he’s probably not gonna go after whoever did it

• He’s just gonna make sure you’re ok.

• “Are you hurt? Let me see, I’ll help.”

• He’ll patch you up, and you’ll go on about your day

• But if it’s a worse injury

• He’s FREAKING out

• His eyes are going all wide and he’s gonna go straight to you.

• If it’s an easier enemy, he’ll stay with you and have Hierophant Green get them, or vice versa

• But if it’s another stand user, he’ll leave you with the Stardust Crusaders and destroy them 🥰

• He’s making it quick, cuz he just wants to make sure you’re ok

• He feels guilty that he couldn’t keep you from getting hurt

• He doesn’t want to seem clingy, but he’s gonna stay right by you’re side

• “I’m sorry you got hurt. I won’t let it happen again.”

• And he means that

• He’s going to keep you safe

Dio Brando:

• oh boy

• You gotta try and calm him down

• Like you’re frantically trying to convince him not to kill this poor dude

• “How dare they touch you?!”

• If you’re able to convince him to leave the guy alone, his mood will be soured, and you won’t hear the end of it.

• But eventually he’ll let it go

• If you’re seriously injured, however, he’s not letting it go.

• He’s going to take his time and make them suffer.

• He’ll have one of his lackeys take him away, and make sure you’re fine.

• If you’re not, he’ll get you the best care

• And he WILL make this person suffer

• “They will not get away with doing this to you, believe me.”

• He’ll do to them what they did to you, but tenfold.

• And he’s gonna be clingy, but will deny it

• He’s gonna act like he’s on top of you 24/7 for your sake

• But he was actually just really worried

• He knows that he has many enemies, and doesn’t want you involved

thinking about sitting on kakyoin's lap while he's playing a game. you're settled on his thighs, arms wrapped around his neck while your head rests in the crook. he's distracted when you begin to fall asleep against his chest. red faced and fingers nervously shaking, he finishes his game, just barely winning, and then shakes your shoulder. you only groan at his gentle gesture, half asleep but fully groggy. he chuckles before scooping you up, face entirely flushed when your legs cling to his waist. kakyoin tucks you into bed, ready to head back to his computer when you grasp his fingers. his heart melts at your slow reaction time due to your sleepiness but how you still caught his hand. kakyoin will settle into the bed with you, cuddling you as you drift off again in his warm, secure arms against his sturdy, comforting chest
