So I’ve just finished rereading Wild Space for the first time in like a decade and, with all the current debate about whether or not Obi-Wan and Anakin are a Force Dyad, this passage jumped out at me: 

Anakin’s hologram bowed, and then his image flicked off.

Yoda shook his head, sighing. “A bad feeling he has. Like that, I do not.”

“Which is more worrying?” said Mace, fingers drumming his knee. “The fact that he confirms your concerns...or that at his age, with his still-limited experience, he can sense something’s wrong when thousands of light-years separate him and Obi-Wan?”

Troubled, Yoda halted again. He wanted nothing more than to lock himself into his meditation chamber, but... “Much work that will make for you, Mace Windu. And greatly burdened you are already.”

“I don’t care about that! Yoda, how many times have you said it? Obi-Wan has a destiny as important as Anakin’s. If something happens to him - if we should lose him -”

Yoda nodded, as the weight of the hazy future tried to crush him. “Even with the Chosen One, the Force may never be rebalanced,” he finished heavily.

What’s especially interesting to me is Yoda’s precognition of Obi-Wan’s significance as a counterweight in the foretold rebalancing of the Force. Something which, of course, Palpatine also recognized as evidenced by his repeated efforts to kill Obi-Wan and continually undermine the bedrock of their relationship in hopes of driving that pivotal wedge between them at last. And how could Obi-Wan’s destiny have been any less important than Anakin’s when he was the Chosen One’s other half, his anchor to the Light and bastion against the Dark?

This image of Bail carrying Obi-Wan on his shoulders is from the Bail Organa/Obi-Wan Kenobi Clone Wars era adventure book Wild Space by Karen Miller. Years ago I read the entire book purely based on this image. I will have you know, this never happens in the book. You can see the image on the Wookie article for the Sith planet Zigoola but the image is blatant false advertising. I ended up liking the book anyway, but what you see in the picture does not happen.

“Master!” Ahsoka squeaked, as the primary directory guide to Bothawui came on screen. She straightened out of her morose slump. “Is that where Gr—”

“Not a word,” [Anakin] told her, and tightened warning fingers on her shoulder. “Now, I want everything on our destination that you can dredge up, ready for me to look at when I get back. Okay?”

She was hyperalert again, all her instincts firing. One of these millennia she’d make a pretty good Jedi, probably. Provided he could smooth the rough edges off her.

“Yes, Master,” she said. “You can trust me.”

He frowned down at her. Was I ever this young? Was this how I used to look to Obi-Wan? He doubted it. Slaves lost their innocence while they were still in the cradle.

Reading the Wild Space novel, where Yoda is after Genosis: "LOL. Mothers die, why is Anakin so unstable? He needs to get over this NOW." And then blames Obi-Wan for not reigning him in and I'm like -- have you seen Anakin? He's a fucking force of nature. The council keeps digging their own grave by just pretending that one day Anakin will wake up perfectly emotionless and docile.

I just see how they are all so dysfunctional, and I guess it makes for a good story, but it also makes me want to scream. 😆 😅

The banter in Stealth is so great. It's the Obi-Wan and Anakin we deserve.
