When Peeta comes back to district twelve after the war, the first thing he does is plant primroses in Katniss' yard. Now of course we already know the flowers are a symbol of her sister, but that's not the end of it.
(I still can't believe I never noticed this sooner.)
Primrose is used to treat depression.
Read that again.
Yep, Peeta comes back and he plants a medicinal herb, that treats depression, in Katniss' yard.
"I can't believe you didn't rescue Peeta."
"I know," he replies.
There's a sense of incompleteness. And not because he hasn't apologized. But because we were a team. We had a deal to keep Peeta safe. A drunken, unrealistic deal made in the dark of night, but a deal just the same. And in my heart of hearts, I know we both failed.
"Now you say it," I tell him.
"I can't believe you let him out of your sight that night," says Haymitch.
I nod. That's it.
All these months of taking it for granted that Peeta thought I was wonderful are over. Finally, he can see me for who I really am. Violent. Distrustful. Manipulative. Deadly. And I hate him for it.
people who are like "foxface ate the berries on purpose!" make me SOOO mad. like. the whole point of her death was that her overestimating peeta was the reason she died, and that u should never forget that overestimating is just as bad as underestimating.
like.... why would she kill herself if there was only 4 people left??? im so sorry, but if she survived that long, she could have most likely won the games through strategy
plus it literally says IN THE BOOK that nightlock was only native to district twelve, and that it was not in training (katniss only knew bc of her dad)
something very special to me about katniss being all on her own without even her mother to care for her and peeta being there and doing the thing that helps her start living again at the start of the series AND the end. absolutely phenomenal
I wonder what came to be of Snow's granddaughter. We don't know much about Snow's children, but it's highly possible that they would go into hiding or at least keep a low profile, or maybe they would be charged for some crimes (again, there isn't enough information about them). But what about the girl?
I like the idea of Tigris somehow reaching out after the revolution, feeling protective of her. She would help her understand more about their family's past and ensure she was better than them. And after that, who knows? Maybe she moves to one of the Districts (if they still exist as we have known them) and lives far away from the Snow legacy.

And then I got carried away and started to imagine a story about Katniss' daughter and Snow's great-granddaughter meeting each other as teens/young adults. Because drama.
Currently rewatching catching fire and why is the background music so fucking loud??? Also a lot of time is completely unnecessary to even have it in the scene, but they at lear could’ve lowered it a bit.
I’m just trying to ear these two flirt with each other when this music just fucking BLASTS and I feel exactly like Abby Lee Miller here
