My and my friends Autumn Zatch bell ocs for a fic I'm working on their name are Mortarion on the top and Rei on the bottom. An I’m showing them off because Autumn is a great artist and good friend of mine .So you should check them out Broadway.in.the.Kitchen at Instagram. They don’t do commissions so don’t ask I just want my friend to get more exposure. I randomly saw a clip of a maiko dancing on YouTube and was totally entranced! I'm not Japanese, so I was surprised by her dancing overcame the cultural and language barrier. It's something I haven't really experienced. It seems the maiko was Katsuna, who is now retired. I wanted to ask who your favorite dancers were or if you had links to particular performances that you really like?

One of my favorite dancers of all time was Kotoha (琴葉) of Tama (多麻) in Gion Kobu due to her amazing expressiveness when dancing. Unfortunately she was active before videos were everywhere, so I can't seem to track one down of her dancing right now. Right now though, I'd have to go with Mameroku (豆六) of Tondaya (冨田屋), also in Gion Kobu. She's been an excellent dancer ever since she was a maiko, which is the only time I can find a video of her dancing (which you can watch here). Her dancing is very smooth and she shows great expression in her eyes, which is the only emotion that you can show with the Inoue style (for the Inoue style of dance you're not supposed to smile, frown, or show any facial expression). I'm also really looking forward to the growth of Mamekiyo (豆季依) of Dainui (大ヌイ), also in Gion Kobu, as she's already quite a talented dancer in her own right even though she just debuted last month ^^

It was such a lovely day for it only being the third of April. The sun was shining bright, and there was a gentle breeze to keep things cool. It was too nice of a day to spend it indoors, so Karin insisted that they go out. Right now the married couple of 2 years were sitting on a park bench watching their 2 children at play in the near by playground with some of the other kids that were out and about.

"This is nice don't you think?" Karin asked her husband Sasuke.

He nodded. "Kousuke and Sachiko should tire themselves out at this rate."

She chuckled at her husband before holding his hand. "Even Kenshin is glad we're outside." She commented as her free hand rested on her pregnant stomach.

"Another hyper kid?" Sasuke asked half joking.

"You know you love them." She teased back.

"Maybe... At least I get bragging rights in my family." Sasuke replied.

She snorted. "Yeah I bet. But I'm a little jealous! Ino and Itachi have 3 girls, I was hoping Kenshin would have been Katsuna." She faked a pout.

"Well if you're up to it after Kenshin is born..."

"Oh no, I'm good!" Karin retorted. "Three kids is enough for me thanks."

That earned a chuckle from Sasuke as he pulled his wife closer to him. Karin huffed. "I mean it mister!"

"Hai hai..." He said before kissing her on the lips.

I usually write character x reader plots, but I wanted to do some short posts for character x character pairings (that I ship). I'm going to attempt to do a different ship every day for the entire month of November (30 ships at the least though I may do more if I finish early). I'm currently short 3 ships.

I'd also be really interested in hearing what MxF character ships you guys would like to see, especially since I'm short 3 ships. If I get the time, or maybe for December, I'll focus on other people's ships.

are there any other example of maiko becoming a jikata geiko instead of tachikata geiko (besides katsuna)?

Yes! Mameyoshi (豆美) of Arai (新井) in Gion Kobu was quite young when she joined the karyukai so she spent time as a maiko before becoming a jikata geiko when she had her erikae ^^
