I always resisted the Amazon Black Friday.

It was very simple, actually. I didn't need anything, so I didn't buy anything.

Unfortunately, I went on the website to ask for my phone's receipt and they show me that the BF was on the sport earphones too (the old ones lost a rubber this summer and no, there's no replacement because this manufactures have their own special rubbers).

Thanks to the price tracker app, I was able to confirm that, yep, the previous prices were indeed 3 times higher.

One of them was so cheap I ended up taking two different kinds. Not sure yet if I will return one (I know they will just become waste but also, money back) or keep both of them for backup.

Capitalism got me again.

(And this in a period where I gave up and decided it was time for a new NAS to join my media team, a drill guide for my tool box and glittery safety eyes for my Christmas presents - everyone will have an amigurumi this year. Also, I'm buying all the ski equipment because it's time to stop going just once a year - because prices for full trip + rental - and joining a ski club and at least finish the season with 10 trips. Andor defies the traditional SW visual and audio choices in many ways. Which is I think one of the things anyone that likes Andor appreciates. But what I can never get over in my head is when fans say "this isnt SW". In an entire galaxy there can be no variety? And not in the "Awakens parroted a lot of the OG trilogy" and "Last Jedi is throwing everything out and actively fighting it's own trilogy and SW tradition." Not in that way.

Because Andor is deeply Star Wars. It uses the themes and engages with them. But instead of stormtroopers there are corporate police who naively admire the Empire. Instead of Rebels there are common people who are having their culture destroyed by the industry of war and tyranny. And aesthetically, that doesnt look the same as a starry-eyed young man who finds a couple of droids and saves a princess with his weird scoundrel chaperone. And that's good because it means Star Wars is capable of depth.

My point is fans who say "this isnt star wars" are dumb.

From an idealistic perspective.

but Grisha and Dina being in a fundamentalist religious sect cult where they're betrothed to eachother and have Zeke, but then both eventually breakaway from it. They stick together for a while cause they're all eachother has but eventually start charting their own paths outside eachother and separate. Still coparenting like bosses tho!

Then Grisha meets Carla and they fall in love and he and Dina finally amicably divorce and she and Zeke are still very much a part of the family. 😌
