tumblr's (and specifically tumblr's CEO's) approach to """adult content""" is so fucking depressing dude. idc if you blur shit or put a disclaimer on posts like they do on reddit or whatever but if you prevent people on this website from talking about sucking and fucking then you're taking away part of the appeal. the vast majority of tumblr's userbase loves haha sexual humor. and this whole website was BUILT on weird fetishy fanfiction and porn gifs so i really don't understand why they're rolling back on nsfw. this is like the porn ban all over again but worse because the CEO is a little piss baby who's kicking and screaming and leaking the clearly-intended-to-be-humorous sexual-sounding alt blog usernames for a trans woman who showed a tiny bit of shaft on a post that was already marked as nsfw as it was.

as someone who was a "don't call me queer" type as a teen, I don't trust "don't call me queer" types

#let me be clear it is okay to not want to be called queer on a personal level #but people who use that particular slogan are often very misguided on actual queer history #in hindsight a majority of the people who use that slogan are white lgb ppl who don't want to be associated with the rest of the community #also typically rich cis gays #who are scared to accept the fact that gay people are and never will be viewed in the same light as straight people #they want to assimilate into cishetero society instead of forging their own path #keystone.txt

Sometimes I think about how before Euphoria came out and all anyone had to go off of were the trailers, everyone was buzzing about a key character being played by a trans actress because of the scene where Rue and Jules are lying next to each other in bed in their underwear. but I had seen those ads and not noticed at all that Hunter Schafer was trans because I was too busy focusing on the lesbian longing looks between these two characters that I did not even glance at either actresses' crotch.
