Alright, let’s see…

1. When it comes to their relationship, the Hyuga elders did not approve of it. They would have rather had her either stay in the clan or get with Naruto for political gain. However, with Naruto getting with Sakura, that was a no go. And furthermore, Hinata did not want to ruin their relationship.

2. It actually took them a while to get together! Kiba didn’t want to put her into a relationship and Hinata decided to work on herself since she realized that Naruto had been her focal point throughout her entire life. So, she didn’t want to rely on him anymore and trained. Kiba saw this and helped her hone her jutsu and skills.

And that’s all I have at the top of my head at the moment!

random out-on-the-town hcs i have for the konoha kunoichi

Whenever they go out or there’s some sort of an occasion that requires them to dress up, Ino always invites all the girls to get ready at her place. They blast music. They pre-game. They get noise complaints from Ino’s neighbours.

Tenten does her eyeliner with a kunai because that’s the only way she’ll get a straight line. 

Hinata spends over an hour picking between outfits because she is indecisive as hell when it comes to clothes (but that’s only because she knows Ino’s going to flame her if her fit ain’t perfect for the night).

And without fail, Ino always ‘accidently’ walks in on Sakura naked, to the point that Sakura pretty much changes with the door wide open. 

(Shikamaru came over once to borrow something from Ino and let’s just say that from there on out, he decides he’s not coming over if the girls are there.)

If they go out to bars, it usually results in Sakura arm wrestling any and every patron there. Sometimes, she ends up breaking tabletops with her fist, which means she has to go to Tsunade with her tail between her legs, asking her if she could pay for the damage. 

Tenten will always play darts because she has the best aim and she also has an ego she needs to fuel. It’s fine until Ino presses a drink into her hands, and from there on out, it becomes a game of trying to get Tenten to stop attacking all the other patrons with darts.

Hinata is usually the sober one unless they’re going out with the rest of Konoha 12 because that means Kiba is there, which means she’ll try and gather the courage to tell him how she feels by downing drink after drink. 

(It never works but it doesn’t stop her from getting black out drunk each time.)

Ino is the only one of them that can both get drunk graciously and wake up without a hangover. Whenever the other girls question how she accomplishes it, Ino only presses a finger to their lips before going on her merry way.

Naruto Headcanon (p2)

(Warning: Sakura centric. Very slight and neutral NaruHina. They have a good reason though. Sasusaku is just angst. Don't like? Don't read.)

Neji cropped his hair short to forsake his hyuga status. By doing that, he essentially became free.

Sasuke never returned to Konoha and instead continued Orochimaru's legacy. He rebuilt Oto from the shambles it was in and became Otokage. It became a haven for missing nins and people who wanted to start anew.

Kiba joined Anbu and was placed in one of the top tracking teams. Unfortunately for him, Shino was his Anbu captain. Shino used this opportunity to whip Kiba into his place to make up for all the times he was forgotten by his teammate.

(I love the running gag in which Shino is invisible)

Neji and Tenten marriage was unconventional and Gai insisted they switched roles in their marriage. Tenten waited for her husband on the altar while Neji walked down the aisle. It took a lot of convincing on Naruto's and Lee's part to make Neji agree to this. Regardless to say, it was the most memorable marriage.

Hinata abolished the Hyuga branch system and took her heiress position with all seriousness to make up for the lost time. Hanabi fell in love with a man outside clan (his name starts with K), leaving Hinata to take up the mantle.

Her heir status and her job as the academy teacher didn't clash at all. She easily made time for all her responsibilities.

She married Kiba who changed his name to Hyuga. They married out of convenience but fell in love soon enough.

(Kiba wasn't heir so he is a free man. He could marry into other clan if he so wished. Besides, his clan is female dominant so he was easily casted out. Also because Tsume adored Hinata.)

Naruto didn't marry Hinata because she wished to guide her clan to a better future and Naruto wanted to rebuild his own clan.

Hinata and Naruto dated for a while but it didn't work. Hinata realised what she felt for Naruto was just admiration of his dominant character and merely desired to always support him. Naruto found her quiet and accepting persona not fit for his challenging personality. They parted on good terms.

Sakura moved on from Sasuke when he joined Akatsuki. She lost all her hopes of ever seeing that Sasuke she saw when she was a child. But she still wanted to help him find peace.

Naruto desperately held onto his hopes because no one else but team 7 believed in Sasuke or Naruto's conviction in Sasuke anymore. Sai didn't believe in Sasuke but he believed in his teammates.

(Sasuke wasn't close to any of the rookies. There's a limit to any obligation that other teams would have felt for Sasuke. They may be (hardly) friends or allies, but no one stands up for you more than family. Team 7 is one big family.)

Sasuke rejected Sakura vocally under the assumption she still loved him when Team 7 reunited. He earned a punch from Sakura that left him passed out for 3 days. He again got punched when he asked for reason why he got punched. This time he was out for a week. He didn't dare talk back to Sakura again.

Karin moved in with Naruto after the war. She wanted to live with her family and Naruto couldn't be happier. They grew close and remained so even after Naruto moved out to live in Hokage household. Suigetsu and Juugo moved in with Karin after that.

It took 9 years after the war for karin to finally accept her feelings for Suigetsu. He jumped her the moment she confessed. They had kids first and married next.

Orochimaru is dead. Period. Tsunade never woke from her coma; 5 years into the coma she died. Sakura was devastated. She left the village on her personal mission. Naruto didn't stop her.

It was spring when finally, at the age of 26, Naruto is given the hat. During the crowning ceremony, Naruto publicly declared his engagement with Sakura. He earned a punch of course, but he wasn't refused. Sakura left for her mission again.

(A Hokage should have more than just talk-no-jutsu and power. Naruto is not a Hokage material (face it!!) but that doesn't mean he couldn't be properly trained to become one.)

(Sakura loved Sasuke despite every his crimes and dismissals, Hinata loved Naruto despite his obliviousness towards her existence, so god how can Naruto who 'never gives up' gave up on his love for Sakura, for merely her rejection? Please keep your 'rivalry to Sasuke bs' to yourself. Manga has more than enough reference of her showing deep concern and care for Naruto. Sp can burn.)

It was in the next spring that Sakura returned from her personal mission to settle back for an indefinite time.

Lee was both Neji and Tenten's first kiss. Lee's was Sakura. Sakura's was Naruto. Naruto's was Sasuke. Sasuke's was Itachi. Legend has it has ghost of Itachi still feels traumatised by that memory.

Sakura and Mei grew close when Sakura helped Kiri grow their medical force. Mei wanted to adopt Sakura at one point and prepared papers without consent, Kakashi, who was the Hokage at that time, personally came to Kiri to drag Sakura back to Konoha.

team 8 headcanons p. i-academy/ genin years

they were kind of friends but they weren’t the type of friends that would look for each other in a crowd 

kiba and hinata became friends first, then shino and kiba, and finally shino and hinata

and all three of them became friends after they were assigned to be in the same group for a project

i feel like kiba had a really big and obvious crush on hinata

and he was high key happy when he got into a group with hinata 

as they got to really know each other better they realized that they met before they attended the academy

i headcanon that for years members of the hyuga, inuzuka, and aburame clan have been teaming up like the yamanaka, akamichi, and nara clan

both shino and kiba attempted to go on a date with hinata

but they never said it was dates so hinata being oblivious just thought they were hanging out 

both hinata and shino hang out at kiba’s place and became friends with hana

they support each other so much

kiba supports everything and anything that hinata and shino do

Okay I really like the idea of them to be honest ? I feel that Hinata would really admire Temari’s strengths, both inner and outer. They’d be a nice balance to each other, soft where the other is rough. Also I feel like Hinata, having grown up in her clan as she has, has the capability to be an actually very good political player. Like you wouldn’t expect it of her but she is and can be because she’s very observant and good at playing up to how people view her as meek & weak to her own advantage. 

But ANYHOW Hinata and Temari could have a political thing that turns into romance & cute shit & please give me this I am begging of all the gods on earth. I really love the idea of a possible dynamic between them and the sly teasing and goading and searing looks and

I'm writing a KibaHina au where they have kids and I just can't reconcile how the fang markings happen. I've done an embarrassing amount of research on inuzuka and my findings are: some have it, some don't. so I went with tattoo with the KibaHina kids. my au has them agreeing to let their kids decide whether to get the tattoos or not after promoting to genin.

idk. I also think about tobirama and jiraiya and rin and everyone else who seems to have some facial markings. I just want some clarity because facial tattoos seem so brutal for kids. idk I love writing KibaHina kids because I think they'd be wild and strong and compassionate little buggers but I can never figure out their fang markings.

coming next: curse mark for Hyuuga? huh? what's going on there? who knows. certainly not me.

oh goodness, them agreeing that the kids get to chose whenther to have the markings or not when they're old enough to make wise decisions is so endearing to me!! i haven't read the whole fic about them that you're writing but the parts i did were chef's kiss. you're an amazing writer.

and i know that some inuzuka clan members don't have them and others do, but i like to think that they're like a birthmark of sorts? i switch between that idea and the tattoo one between my fics, but just imagining kiba as a tiny kid (like even younger than five) having to get his squishy lil' face tattooed and then having to endure his cheeks getting all itchy while the ink heals makes me sad.

especially 'cause he'd get so insecure cos of the 'scarring' as the skin heals... like imagine going to school with that stuff on your face. the other kids would probs stare at him and they tend to be so mean at that age. being the only inuzuka of his generation, he'd hate it, even though it'd mean he was officially part of the clan.

aaand now i'm pouting cos i can literally see his mom constantly reminding him not to scratch his cheeks and to stop touching the tattoos so that they don't get infected, because it's hard to explain that to a kid - especially to a rowdy one like him :(

but at the same time (i know i've mentioned this before), the tattoos don't explain how they grow with him as he ages?? unless he gets them redone at certain points in his life? and i doubt it's face paint cos they never come off, not even in a bathhouse... idk.

Do you have any kibahina hcs about what makes hinata start looking at Kiba instead of naruto?

Oh man, I was discussing this with another friend the other day.

Basically, I see Hinata having a slight pang of jealously. But, she knows she never truly went after Naruto like people told her to. Like, she’s happy for them! If Naruto’s happy, then she’s happy, at least that’s what she keeps telling herself.

Enter Kiba. He sees just how much she cares about Naruto. Kiba soothes her, throwing a few not so nice words in no particular direction, but they’re aimed towards Naruto. He tries to tell Hinata that it’s okay to feel sad.

“We all have our moments of sadness. Hell, seeing you like this makes my heart clench, Hinata. I don’t want you to be this sad.”

They end up spending more time together since Hinata feels comfortable around her teammate. They have tea, eat sweets together as well.

Basically, Kiba spending time with Hinata leads her to (almost) move on from Naruto. (She just can’t forget about her first crush tbh) Which she knows isn’t fair to Kiba. So, she tries her best to not think about Naruto and to have fun with her fellow shinobi and team.

So yeah! Them getting together is very slow and full of sadness and angst (Kiba wants to call her out about not being able to move on and how he actually loved her for so long), but they get together eventually! (He’s her date to the narusaku wedding eheh)

5: first headcanon that pops into my head - she's not shy at all in bed! Words are complicated and hard to knot together, while sensual communication is much more easier for her. She'd rather blow someone than make a phone call.

6: favorite line from this character - I can't remember a specific line but her standing up to Neji to prove her worth was inspiring

7: one way in which I relate to this character - ah omfg we are so different in everything!

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - the way her crush on Naruto is potraiyed makes me cringe so hard, expecially the gag/comic parts

Uhm.... The way I interpret Hinata, she's not as cinnamonrollish as she might seems at first sight. I think she can be quite self centered and obsessive over specific things and that her mental space can easily become a dark, dark place. She's capable of unconditional love and devotion, the flip side is being capable of unconditional fury and resentment if things turn out for the bad. And mind, I like this take on her a lot, but I think the Hyuuga's face-heel turn potential surpass Sasuke's by far.
