I think many people cognitively understand that retributive justice is often ineffective and simply violent, but they don't want to rid themselves of the almost collective anger mindset that permits this kind of justice to remain in place, even socially. In short, the mindset still treats people as though they must be punished as severely as possible, and when one is wronged, the mindset goes to how violence can be used, which is not inherently the same as righting wrongs.

Justice is complex, and it's messy. That's why it's so important not to treat it simplisticly with only one solution.

Like, between the one who had us do earthquake excersices every week and gave us (read: threw at us from his seat behind his desk) free pens when we did well, the one who had her textbook covered in pictures of starving kids from africa so she could look at them and cry, to the guy who walked around the corridors with his arms spread out as if he was the crucified jesus, to the lady who told us her mom set herself on fire and never actually did the lesson properly, only told us not to steal and not to lie, there was a pattern. You know?

ds has the best sequels tbh. i mean a lot of them suck if you judge them based on, like, how different they are from the original (built to scale 2, the dazzles 2, rhythm rally 2, lockstep 2, karate man 2, glee club 2, munchy monk 2). but also they're still great i love them. <3

Last year was just like a solid color hoodie (pink with a white logo, black with the "girl" colored logo, black with the "boy"/camo colored logo, navy with a pink logo, and red with a white logo) and this year is like BRIGHT PINK, Dusty poo-y beige, black, blue, and red but with blue logo? Emphasis on the Dusty Poo-y Beige being the absolute worst one. Why do we have so many Sad Beige™️ kids clothes this fall. Like I'll never understand that aesthetic.

Like babies need color!! Give them nice pastels if you INSIST on "muted" colors. Toddlers should be in bright colorful outfits to signify the threat™️ they are! (I mean that lovingly). Little kids should have fun colored clothes that they get to help pick out! Let them be colorful little clowns! STOP THE BEIGE!
