Real life police chases
To broaden my research and understanding on vehicular combat, I thought it would be fitting to research the closest thing we have to vehicular combat in real life, police chases.
The video at the bottom of the blog will be the one I have been watching to understand and observe real life chase scenarios. I also0 used this website below this text before I found a good video, however these police chases were not as fitting to my games theme.
The reason I did not find any of the chases in this list useful as I was looking for a few specific things: contact between cars, reckless driving, no regard for safety. I would've used the 'killdozer' chase however, it did not have the level of violence against other vehicles in transport that I'd wanted.
Tumblr media
I believe that there are two main factors in the mindset of someone in a police chase, they cannot risk being caught and facing a sentence or the fear of when they stop, their life does too. You do get criminals who commit crimes just for the rush, but there are some people out there who have to resort to crime in order to provide for their families. Crime isn't excusable in any manner, it's just a shame that some have to turn to it in moments of desperation.
In my project, The gameplay will mimic a police chase with the player controlling the people who are being attacked so that they'd stop.

Data Life Form (10 Point Quality)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Data life forms run a full gamut of organism types.  It's sort of like saying "Mollusk" or "Chordate" when describing a living organism.  There is a lot of variety to what they are, but they share some common attributes.
They are inorganic entities comprised primarily of electronic information or ‘data’ (hence the name).  There are many varieties but the most interactive of them form synthetic bodies for themselves.   Some are animalistic such as the infamous “Digital Monsters” or Digimon, others are humanoid in their appearance.  Those found in Mid-Childa are primarily tied to the Ancient Belkan styles of magic and usually appear as magically powerful humanoid beings.  The most powerful of these, the Data Integration Thought Entity and the Sky Canopy Domain are darn near godlike.
As mentioned, they are inorganic beings, as such, they have no real "Organs" to speak of and thus cannot suffer extra damage from targeting specific areas or from slash/stab and bullet attacks (they ignore the doubling effect organic beings suffer, beam and plasma weapons affect them normally).  They regenerate themselves over time (their Constitution level each hour), have a +1 to their Dexterity thanks to the ease which electricity runs through their bodies, and may raise their attributes above human limits easily, and have up to 10 levels of Hard to Kill.  They do have their weaknesses in that they take double damage from electrical attacks and powerful magnets can screw with their operations and leave them paralyzed or catatonic at worst or cause them to speak in gibberish, or their darkest secrets, at best.
Tumblr media
There do exist lesser Data Life Forms, spirits that possess machines to give them ‘life’, such as the "Daisy Eta" from the Killdozer incident or Johnny5 from the Short Circuit incident.  They also explain various ‘sentient’ robots that could not have formed with the technology available.  These use the Robot quality.  Similarly, the native sentient species of Cybertron are covered in their own quality, though one particular member exhibited more primitive possession traits of other Data Life Form genera.
They are mentioned primarily for completeness’ sake.

Halloween Horror Mania Night 21: The made for TV movie Gargoyles (1974) is our creature feature of the evening. Oh, the wonderful things Youtube will randomly recommend you. I had never heard of this but apparently based on my watching Killdozer on YouTube it suggested this for me. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This is about Gargoyles that kidnap a woman and her father that’s trying to save her. The movie is just a lot of fun and the Gargoyle suits are both great for the time and hilarious. The highlight of the film is the beginning that starts like a documentary film describing the history of Gargoyles. Definitely check it out.
