we're never getting back together (like ever?) ~ kim lip
a/n: apologies for the bad pun, but I had to. 😌 this fic is in celebration of the birthday of my favorite (fucking) boomer @kingmaker-a - thank you for being such a great friend (and for the photocards and album). 💕 sorry for the excessive boomer jokes, but it must be done 🫡 also we've got another entry in the paladin! roommates au with more lore about the Paladins (and some bullshit I made up).
tw: paladin! reader kinda reads like an OC but hopefully you can ignore it, reader and lippie get wasted, one too many boomer jokes, alcohol, parties, hangovers, katie and mala being professional little shits ™️
summary: Your roommates are little shits, but you have to thank them for (indirectly) getting you and your ex back together. Perhaps this is a funny story that you can tell at your wedding, given that you and Kim Lip are sober enough to remember the day.
♡ Masterlist ♡
Tumblr media
Laughter was a common noise in the Paladins' apartment. You all poked fun at each other from time to time (it was mostly Katie and Mala calling the rest of you boomers).
What concerns you this time, as you nurse your nasty hangover, is the two people laughing from a room away.
Katie's bubbly laughter rings out through the hallways and into the kitchen. Her laughter was usually accompanied an accusing finger from stealing her baked goods (Mala was the one who did the crime, but you did the time with an hour long lecture about personal property) or a brutal roast about your age.
Your joints may be getting old, but your ears are doing just fine since you pick up on the second person who's laughing.
It's Mala.
Mala and Katie were little shits on their own. Together, they could set fire to an entire neighborhood or wreck havoc to your social life.
As you nurse your hangover cure of choice, you're hoping that they're laughing over their choice of lighter fluid.
"What a boomer!" Katie says before dissolving into another fit of giggles.
Fuck.
You trudge into the living room, looking like shit from the night before. Whatever the youngest Paladins are up to, it's certainly no good.
"What are you two doing?" You mumble as Katie puts her phone away and blinks innocently at you.
Wolf in sheep's clothing, I swear.
"Nothing! Mala was just showing me some photos from last night."
With a smirk, Mala presents you with their phone.
This can't be good.
The first photo you see is a picture of Katie with her arms wrapped around Dami. She's laughing as Dami's trying to pull her in for a kiss.
Cute.
Scrolling to the left, you see a more formal picture of Mala standing next to Tzuyu. They're holding hands while not making eye contact with one another. You wonder how long they'll dance around their feelings for each other before one of them confesses.
You swipe again and again, seeing various photos of your friends and their friends. In one photo, Sparrow's knocked out on the ground, curled up in between Kazuha and Yunjin. In another, Neon and Siyeon cheers each other with wide smiles on their faces. There's even a group photo of the five of you that will definitely be a wallpaper on your phone or laptop.
You swipe again.
Then you see it.
A picture of you, drunk beyond recognition, holding a beer in one of your hands. There's nothing wrong with this photo, except you're not the only one in it.
Your other arm is wrapped around Kim Lip, who is wearing a stunning white dress. If your friends didn't know any better, they would assume that the two of you were drunken newlyweds.
The problem is, she's not your wife. She's not your girlfriend. You haven't been seen together in months since she's your ex.
Maybe you two had only dated for a few months, but you really liked her. She was a goofy loser, just like you. Your heart aches as you stare at the picture, wondering what could've been.
"Do you think he's seen it?" Katie shout-whispers as Mala sighs.
"Do you think he makes that face normally?"
"Did this get posted?" You softly ask as Mala and Katie immediately shut up. "Did. This. Get. Posted?"
"We didn't post it." Katie bites her lip before looking at you. "You did."
You toss Mala their phone before scrambling to grab yours from your pocket. When you unlock your phone and open Instagram, you notice your post right at the top with you and Kim Lip in the photo.
And it has 3,000 likes. Great.
"Ah, Jinsoul texted me last night and..." Katie trails off before playing with her hair.
"What did she say?"
"Check your messages."
You click on the message bubble in the top right corner as the menu changes in front of you. Once your messages load, you notice that Kim Lip's name is right at the top.
You click on the message without hesitating.
I saw your post.
Do you have time to meet?
I want to talk things through.
~
You shouldn't be here.
It's 11:35 a.m. - she's five minutes late.
Your friends aren't late as the two youngest Paladins are dressed in the worst disguises you've ever seen - fake mustaches and all.
A few tables away, Mala holds up their phone with scrolling text that reads: you've got this! just keep your calm and relax.
Katie then holds up their phone, and her scrolling message is: don't screw this up you fucking boomer.
There's something to be said about the duality of man between your two friends, but you can't say anything to them as Kim Lip enters the coffee shop.
You wonder if she knows that this is the same coffee shop you had your first date in.
And you're sitting in the same booth where she told you that she didn't have feelings for you anymore.
You still weren't over her, months later.
She's just as beautiful as the day you last saw her.
Katie's right - You're such a fucking simp.
"Hey." She gently tucks a small bit of hair behind her ear before setting her bag on the table. "Mind if I sit?"
"Not at all."
Kim Lip slides into the booth beside you as you fiddles with the coffee up in front of you.
"Want anything to drink?" You offer before pulling your wallet from your pocket.
"No, I'm alright," She smiles for a moment before asking, "how are you feeling after last night?"
Terrible, I'm dealing with a headache in my brain and two headaches twenty feet away from me.
"A bit rough, but it's nothing that a little hangover cure can't fix." You take a sip of your drink before continuing. "But I'm sure that you didn't come here to just ask how I was feeling."
"Right," She shakes her head for a moment, "listen, I'm sorry about everything I said last night. It was completely unfair of me to dump all of my feelings onto you when you didn't ask for it."
You do your best to hide a surprised reaction, choosing to cough and cover your face with your hand instead.
What did she say? How drunk was I last night?
"You have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?" Her eyebrow raises as you sheepishly nod. "Well, shit."
Kim Lip grabs her bag and pulls out her phone. She grabs her phone and quickly navigates to her gallery as you try to recall anything that happened last night.
I remember getting there, talking to a few friends, playing a bit of Truth or Drink... that's about it.
With a soft blush, she hands you her phone. You play the video, hoping that you didn't make an absolute fool of yourself.
You hear Jinsoul, the cameraman, laugh as she approaches the two of you. With tears streaming down her face, Kim Lip shakes your barely conscious form.
"I love you!" She screams into your face. "I miss you so much! I was such an idiot for dumping you. Please, please, please take me back!"
You don't even blink at her confession - how fucked up were you? - as she continuous to blubber in your ear.
The video ends with Jinsoul laughing again - you understand why her and Katie are friends after that debacle.
"So?" Her eyes meet yours as you hand her the phone back.
"Did you mean any of that?" You honestly ask as she pauses.
"I- I did." She bows her head as you take a pause of your own to process what she's said.
"I missed you." You hate how desperate you sound, but it's the truth.
You'd do anything for a second chance, and by the way her eyes lit up at your words, you think she feels the same way.
"I'd like that drink now, if you don't mind." She smiles as you sigh.
"Once I get rid of those two, sure," You vaguely gesture towards Katie and Mala, "I don't need them interfering in my boomer romance."
"They still call you a boomer?"
"They haven't stopped."
She laughs as a lovesick grin appears on your face.
"I don't mind them, really," You say, "They're just-"
"-annoying? overprotective? hilarious?" Kim Lip takes a few guesses as your eyes widen.
"-betting on us?" You say, astonished, as you witness Mala hand Katie a handful of money. "Those little hustlers!"
You go to stand up, but Kim Lip grabs your arm and pulls you back down.
"Careful, boomer, you might pull a muscle." She teases before winking at the two little shits who are laughing in the corner.
"That sounds like a you problem, since you'll be the one taking me home." You smile as she laughs.
"As long as we go home together, I don't mind what happens next." Kim Lip says, and you find yourself agreeing.
Perhaps there's still room for love in a boomer's old, tired heart.

Troublemaker | Kim Jungeun
Tumblr media
Hogwarts AU
Related: Ecdysis, You're a Keeper
Slytherin Prefect Reader x Gryffindor Troublemaker Kim Lip
Warnings/Tags: Enemies to Lovers(?), Reader is a stickler for the rules, Jungeun is usually up to something, references to other fics
Premise: Jungeun has been a pain in your side ever since you became a prefect. You've lost count of how much time you've lost holding her through detention. However, as the year slowly draws to a close, one routine patrol has you questioning why she causes trouble.
Word count: 1.9k
A/N: I was originally supposed to get this out on her birthday but life ended up happening, so happy valentines instead!
Tumblr media
It’s hard to find the truth through tasseled moonlight, wooden oak creaks under every footfall.
You know what you see.
Sunset orange fades to luscious black waves, it clicks like a puzzle piece, a reminder of her haunt, the boathouse afloat Black Lake.
So why was she here?
Wind howls through every nook and cranny of the astronomy tower, creeping through the gaps in your cloak.
Still, she's unceasing in the biting, uncaring cold, much like the orrery that calls the tower home.
Much like you.
“Tch,” your tongue clicks at the roof of your mouth, frustration boils below the surface as you roll your neck.
She doesn't shift, doesn't budge an inch in the face of your restrained frustration.
A subtle kindness given your history.
Your thumb runs over the cold metal of your badge. Too many detentions to count.
At least half of them could've been avoided, if she didn’t look so smug, beaming with an almost arrogant pride.
Like she wanted to be caught.
Yet, there’s none of that, here in this moment.
“Kim,” you beckon, foot bouncing. At least you didn’t have to deal with her much longer.
Her head slinks between her shoulders, leaning deeper against the railing.
You roll your eyes, why your safe haven of all places?
She sighs and you hate the way it tugs, pulls you closer. If she hears your approach, she makes no acknowledgement, her eyes linger on the courtyard far below.
Your ears prickle against the sound of metal against metal, slight and faint. Your eyes remain focused, diligent, plucking out the distant paired silhouettes, one Gryffindor, one Slytherin.
She scoffs when you take your spot next to her, elbows resting against the railing. You can't help the scowl that burns across your lips as you lean forward, too preoccupied with your prefect duties.
It’s a brief glance at her that paints the picture, melancholic and lost.
Your eyes trace back over the figures, you can practically feel the pulse of animosity and conflict, it burns in the Slytherin’s veins.
Hyeju and Keeper.
“You know if it bothers you so much, they are breaking curfew.” It’s unlike you to offer a kindle of warmth, unlike you at least, when it comes to her.
That's why you're not surprised when she laughs, unable to reel it in as she keels against the railing.
Her hair ripples with sunlight for the briefest moments, her laughter waters her eyes as her fingers stem the flow.
“You know,” her words are like the first bite into decadent chocolate. “No one would believe me if I told them you were funny.”
There’s a wistfulness to her smile as her eyes languish back to the courtyard, it’s frail, drought with something unspoken. There’s a slight gleam to her eyes as she settles, tentatively, on you.
“It’s fine, really.” She falters underneath your serious gaze, choosing to focus on the night sky. You catch the slightest glint of something metallic in her hand, red and gold. It catches against the moonlight before she finally palms it. “If anything it’s my fault.”
Her eyes crinkle as she offers another smile, another attempt in reassurance.
This wasn’t your dynamic, it’s always been an accustomed silence in detention. Aside from the brief arguments she paints in her defense, it’s never been more than that.
Yet, something shifts, under the shade of her melancholy. Perhaps, the night brings with it, its own sort of magic.
You take a deep breath, eyes cast asunder through the dark crevices of the night.
“What’s on your mind Kim?”
The wind howls in those few silent, fraught seconds. You miss the luster of moonlight that flashes through her hair.
She scoffs, reality crashes against her in a gigantic wave. It’s an odd comfort to have you of all people check up on her. You don’t notice the way her eyes linger on you with a shaky edge.
Her eyes trail yours, gliding against speckled fairy dust.
Her breath grows shaky, wheezing with a poor attempt at a laugh.
“A lot.”
Her words weigh heavy with the black that mars her hair. She almost sinks lower under your gaze.
Orange has always been one of your favorite colors, even in spite of Jungeun’s insipid antics.
Somehow, part of you misses the flare of orange. Even if it often spelt the loss of your own free time.
Metal grinds against the railing, a nervous twitch.
“Run me through it, Jungeun.” It’s not often that your voice is painted with a soft velvet, even more so in her company.
You can’t help but arch an eyebrow as she whines, shrinking against the railing. Her hair runs adrift with waves of moonlight.
It’s hard to pick out, against the moonlight. But part of you swears there’s the slightest hint of rosy pink.
She steadies herself, tugged ashore by a deep breath as her hair returns to a deep obsidian black.
You two have never been particularly close.
But there’s something held in the cloisters of the astronomy tower, that almost makes it feel otherwise.
“Do you like Keeper?”
Her eyebrows scrunch, pulled together at the ends by a rough indignance. It slowly softens, lingering like a fading wave.
Her voice is small, soft like flakes of snow.
“No.”
Her lips scrunch, almost wincing as she says it.
“Not romantically at least…”
There’s something that catches on her breath as she looks at you, forlorn and lost. Her eyes shimmer like glass as her lips quiver.
It’s odd to see her offer a smile to you of all people, caught in the dust of those frail, heart aching moments.
It falters and slips, crashing against the ground like a glass of wine.
For the first time you’re hesitant.
If she was any of your other peers, you’d pull her close like a held breath.
Perhaps it is the house of the lion that holds her strong as she offers a weak laugh. Her teeth flare into an almost ironic smile.
“I said, I’d always have their back.” Her grip tightens against the railing, knuckles twisting into a bone white. “...and I didn’t-”
You can’t help the smile that burns across your lips, settling into a soft smirk.
“You told Yoongi about the tea shop.”
It’s hard to ignore the enjoyment you feel as she deflates, eyes pointed like a dagger.
“You know you’re ruining the fun.”
“Isn’t that my job?”
She rolls her eyes with an annoyed knowing groan. In spite of it all, her lips curve into a soft, curious smile.
She offers you her hand, the moment is soft and almost poignant.
If not for the object held in her palm.
It glimmers softly in the moonlight.
A Gryffindor prefect badge.
“It might be my job soon,” her hair brims with the slightest hint of life, the darkest shade of orange you can imagine.
The details aren’t lost on you, as irrelevant as they might be. The badge in its own way, being a weird, twisted sort of inheritance, set forth by Kim ‘Sua’ Bora.
She had always been brash and confident almost arrogantly so, but you never expected her to end up bedridden in St. Mungo’s.
There is something to be said about lions not being ravens.
“You don’t sound too enthused,” your voice clings to the eves, between the sparkle held between distant stars.
Her smile falters, scraped off like flaking paint. “I-... yeah.”
The orrery ticks away, unceasing in its ministrations. You can taste the cold edge of the night air, it creeps in, snuffing the flame of any words that burn at your throat.
She turns to you, eyes soft like sugar glass.
“...You really don’t have anything to say huh?” It’s hard to notice that which goes unsaid in her voice, it’s a spattering of paints, messy and troublesome. It tastes of melancholy, yet it burns with the poison of something else entirely.
She laughs with an almost throaty derision, the punchline to an unspoken joke.
“You really don’t care huh?” She scoffs, her voice echoing with wounds and scars, her hair burns an almost violent shade of orange. “I’ve been a pain in your ass since you became a prefect.”
Her teeth grit together like sandstone and gravel. It’s hard to ignore the way her eyebrows twitch and tense as it all slowly fades under a shaky breath.
So too does the orange, fading into the familiar shade of sunset orange, that you’d come to know.
The exact same shade that was your favorite.
She laughs weakly, as if it should be obvious.
But you don’t see the joke.
“...Fuck,” she wheezes, there’s a dreary fatigue that clings to every syllable. “I know we’re not close, but nothing? Not even a hint of annoyance? Frustration at whoever was stupid enough to sign off on this mess?”
She was right… That is a lot.
Her hand presses into her face, fingers eventually settling on the bridge of her nose. Her breathing, seethes, boiling with a frothing edge.
There’s something that lingers on the tip of her tongue, a snake ready to pounce, violent and eager.
“Are you done Jungeun?”
Despite all that brims below the surface, she pulls back, lips settling into the slightest scowl. Her eyes burn with a defiant heat, even if nothing else leaves her lips.
She’s ready to jump at any mistake or sign of weakness. Sadly for her, there will be no such moment.
“Who,” It’s felt in your tone, rigid and cold like the harshest winter. You push forward prodding with an annoyed arch of a brow.
“Do you think Headmistress Kwon,” each word pushes her back as her feet stumble desperately to keep pace. The blood of the snake salivates at the surprise that echoes in her eyes. “Went to first?”
Her back catches against ancient stone, her hands holding her steady.
… She’s beautiful, painted lovingly by the moonlight. It’s hard not to smile, it really is.
She gulps nervously as she looks up at you, the fire of trouble and rebellion snuffed under your gaze.
You place a hand just shy of her face, the ancient stone of Hogwarts is cool to the touch.
She twitches anxiously, gaze turning away from you, cast out towards the pale moonlight.
She's a far cry from the girl who stood before you mere moments before, even further still from the troublemaker you had come to know.
A memory sticks out to you, a question from Minji on the eve of your fifth year. It’s odd the way you can trace the anxiety, inch by inch.
“What's your favorite color?”
It’s hard to miss the way she squirms under your prolonged gaze, much like she did back then.
You smile, fingers trailing through the strands that frame her face. She can't help the way she nuzzles into your touch, her lips curving into the smallest smile.
Your thumb caresses her cheek, tugging ever so softly,“you really are trouble, you know?”
Her smile deepens as she loses herself in your eyes. Her hand clasps over yours pulling your touch deeper.
“You finally noticed huh?” her voice reduced to a soft velveteen. Part of you still hates the cocky, coy smile that blooms across her lips.
But you’re too focused on the fingers that linger against your chin, coaxing you forward with her half lidded eyes.
She kisses you.
Her lips ache with tentative softness, an anxious worry that you can taste in those chaste moments between two.
A smile licks its way across her lips, eyes lingering with a rosy hue.
“Only for you.”

Bump in the Road
Idol: Loona
marshmallow: Hi! I really love your works and ur one of my favorite writers in this app🥺 I'm not sure if request are open or not. But can I request loona 13th member maknae having a special stage performance (with other idols) for MAMA. And she's so nervous and not satisfied with her dance. And she keeps messing up due to how nervous she is. And she struggles to manage herself due to their heavy schedules that would end late at night, her homeworks and her dance practice with the choreographer making her overworked and eventually passing out in the practice room. If it's too hard for you. It's okay ig🥺♥️ It's been on my mind 24/7
A/n: i was honestly not sure which song to pick at first but this seemed fitting. also i apologize for the delay and i hope you like it!

Being an idol didn’t mean you stopped feeling starstruck whenever you were in the presence of other idols. As a matter of fact, it’s because you’re an idol that gets the chance of meeting others in real life that makes you even more nervous when you step into the practice room your manager directed you to.
Your members couldn’t come with you due to their own schedules, but they all wished you well for your preparation in your special stage for MAMA. You were a nervous wreck being around Itzy’s very own Choi Jisu and then (G)I-dle’s Nicha Yontararak due to them being your seniors, but you were even more nervous when you were fully introduced, Weeekly’s Park Soeun coming a little later than she intended and darn was her energy overwhelming you.
They were all very friendly, but given the fact that you were the youngest in this little unit made you squirm, sitting a little farther away before Jisu noticed.
“Y/n, come on, we’re not going to bite you.” She giggled while waving you over, noting the awkward air around you. “Lia is right, there’s no need to be so shy.” Nicha agreed with a kind smile. “If you want, we can just sit and talk before actually discussing the distribution and choreography.” You shift a little closer to Soeun as she happily beams at you.
“I promised the unnies that I would take care of you, so don’t worry.” Soeun tells you, throwing her arm around your shoulders once you were near enough and pulling you into a warm hug. “Sorry, I’m just… a little nervous.” You tell them and Jisu coos before poking your cheek. "Hey, we're all friends here. There's no need for that." She says in an attempt to cheer you up, but it does little in easing your concerns.
There were a whole lot of expectations on your shoulders due to this performance, but aside from that, you had upcoming tests to think about, too. Thinking about the amount of homework and studying you had piling up, you weren't sure if you would be able to do a good job with this.
But you're able to put those on pause as you begin to practice with the other three idols. The steps weren't new, you already recall most of the parts since you've watched Blackpink's performance a handful of times. But that didn't mean it was always easy.
"Welcome home! How was practice today?" Chaewon was the first to greet you with a smile as soon as you trudged into the dorms, exhausted after a long day. "It was fine, we're almost done." You reply as you take off your shoes and change into your house slippers.
"You look tired." Jinsol notes with a pout when she sees your posture. Though she has bad posture herself, she knows that you were always making sure to fix your own. This time though, she sees the way your shoulders are hunched, your bag strapped to only one, making it droop lower than the other.
With a weak smile, you wave off her concern as you head for your room. "I'm okay, just going to clean up and then do some last minute studying." You inform them, making the older woman's pout deepen whilst Chaewon only frowned. "Be sure to get some sleep." She tells you and you can't help but giggle a little. "Says the one who stays up until four in the morning."
"Hey!"
With one quick goodnight, you enter your room and change into more comfortable clothing before hopping into bed. With your desk lamp turned on, you cast your eyes around the room and smile a little to yourself when you see your roommates all sleeping peacefully in their beds. With that in mind, you keep any possible sound to a minimum as you start on your homeworks.
Since some of them aren't due for a while, you prioritized the ones that had a closer due date. Though you do get stuck on a few of them, especially with your essays since you weren't too sure about your grammar.
You don't even notice the rustling of the sheets from across your bed or the figure peeking out. You only know that someone's awake once your bed dips and a warm body presses against your side, nuzzling your shoulder.
"What are you still doing up?" You hear the sleepy voice ask, her eyes still shut as she laid her head against your shoulder. "I'm just finishing some homework, unnie." You say quietly, gently petting her hair as you lean into her.
Though her warmth was tempting, you quickly turned your eyes back on your papers while she pulled you impossibly closer. "It's late and you had practice the whole day." She mumbles into your shoulder and you hum in agreement before answering. "I'm almost done with this. I'll finish the others tomorrow." She makes a noise of content, though doesn't move to leave your bed.
While you hurriedly finish off your homework and put your materials away, you take a peek at the girl beside you before giggling and then turning your lamp off. She wakes a little at the movement but when she sees that you're getting ready for bed, she only smiles before snuggling closer to you. There's a mumbled goodnight from her and you close your eyes while allowing her to wrap herself around you.
"Goodnight, Yerim unnie."
..
"Unnie, I have to get going." You complain when Haseul continues to fuss over you, her brows pinched together as she made sure you had everything. "I just want to be sure that you have everything." The leader explained while checking over your homework.
When she deems it okay, she finally hands them back before patting your head as Kahei hands you a lunchbox. "Good luck today and don't push yourself too hard, alright?" You give them a tiny little salute before turning to leave the kitchen, only to collide into another person.
"You're leaving already?" You're held by the shoulders to not lose your balance by the group's resident rabbit. Heejin looks at you with a smile and you mirror it with a nod. "I don't want to be late for school, unnie." You answer and she purses her lips a little before nodding her head in understanding. "You have to head straight to practice after, right?"
When you nod one more time, she sighs before taking your hand and bringing you back to your shared room. "Uh, unnie?" You call out and she only opens up the box she has beside her bed before slipping a few packs of bread inside your bag.
"I'll try to come and visit you later to make sure you eat. Lip unnie said that you shouldn't be skipping meals so I'm making sure you have something to eat in between breaks." The first girl explained and you can't help but smile at your members' thoughtfulness. "Thank you, unnie."
Heejin lets you go with a big hug and the rest of your members present at the dorm all bid you farewell when you exit the dorms.
You're able to keep the smile on your face for a good portion of the day. But halfway through your classes, you start to feel your exhaustion taking its toll on your body when you can barely keep your eyes open.
Every class is like a battle of pure will when your pen starts to slow down in its note taking and you have to force your eyes to stay open. Though when the bell rings to indicate that your class is over, you jump a little, startled awake and forcing you to look up at the board.
People were already exiting the room, and when you look at the time, you move out of your seat to gather your things before heading out. Given you didn't have that many friends at school since Yeojin graduated.
It wasn't as though she were your only friend, but since the incident at your last school, you weren't particularly quick to be friends with others. Most of the friends you made were a year older and have left, but you did have at least three people you considered friends in your class.
You were just far too busy to get to talk to them at the moment with your tight schedules.
"Y/n!"
A squeak comes from you when someone calls your name, the sound of a car honking accompanies it. Looking behind you, you see Hyunjin waving happily at you with Jiwoo next to her. They're both grinning and waving you over.
"What are you guys doing here?" You ask curiously and Hyunjin opens the door for you to hop in. "We came to pick you up. Let's go, you don't want to be late." Hyunjin says when she takes your bag as Jiwoo reaches over to hug you, overly excited as she gives you a little shake.
Hyunjin makes a face, given she's stuck in the middle before pulling you both apart. "I'm right here!" She complained and you beam before pressing a kiss to her cheek. The cat gives you a push, but you can see the way she tries to fight off her smile.
"You guys didn't have to come all the way here." You tell them and Hyunjin ruffles your hair whilst Jiwoo pouts. "But we wanted to! You've been very busy and we wanted to see how you were." The older woman explained before pointing at your manager. "Oppa said we could drop you off but we can't stay too long."
Hyunjin pats her arm in a comforting manner while the man in the front chuckled. "I told you already, you have your own schedule today." He reminds and Jiwoo groans in protest. "But my maknae!"
"Our." Hyunjin promptly corrects, making laughter bubble from your throat. "It's not fair though! Ten minutes isn't going to hurt anyone!" Jiwoo went on and your manager could only sigh while shaking his head. "You know the rules, Chuu."
But said woman only huffs in disdain before turning to you. "Can't you make him?" She pleads and you coo a little at her expression before reluctantly denying her request. "Unnie, you're gonna see the performance eventually."
"Plus, maknae is going to be home later so it's not like you won't see her again." Hyunjin adds, though she admittedly did want to spend a little more time with you. "But she always comes home when I'm sleeping. Choerry only woke up that one time and got to cuddle."
You smile softly at the older girl before taking her hand as you rest your head on Hyunjin's shoulder. "I'll go to your bed tonight. How does that sound?"
By the way her whole face lit up, she was more than okay with that offer.
..
"Are you alright, Y/n?" You look behind you when Nicha comes walking over, a worried look on her features after she's noticed how you were constantly reviewing your practice. "Yeah, I was just checking to see if I could improve anything, unnie." You explain with a puff of air. "I feel like I need to practice a little more."
She blinks at your words before crouching down to place a gentle hand on your shoulder. "Take a deep breath for me." She suddenly instructed and you're a little confused as to why, but seeing the look on her face had you obeying, sucking in a deep breath and then slowly letting it out.
She adds a squeeze to your shoulder before finally sitting in front of you. "We still have some time to practice, but don't overwork yourself." She states softly. "Don't be so hard on yourself, okay?"
Her words stick to you throughout the entirety of practice. Even though you were trying to keep a clear mind, you still couldn't help but think about how you had to be perfect with the choreography. The small suggestion from the choreographer had you assuming that you weren't doing as well as you had hoped and the other three idols with you looked a little concerned when they noticed your silence.
"Yah, Y/n! Are you okay?" Soeun asked when she walked closer to you, spotting the frown that's beginning to form on your face. "I'm sorry, I was just thinking a little. I suddenly remembered my homework." You cringe at how lame that sounded, but she looked more than understanding. "I forgot that you're still in school."
Taking a quick look around, the older girl turned back to you with a kind smile. "Mind if I have a look at it?" She stretches her hand out to you and you quickly panic a little at her offer. "Oh! You don't have to, unnie. It's okay!"
But she waves your worries away. "Come on. We're a team, that means we help each other." As reluctant as you were, her persuasion manages to get you to grab your bag and show her the remainder of your homework. So while the four of you were on break, Soeun opted to sit by and help you as you worked.
"What's all this?" Jisu asks when she and Nicha finally decide to check on the two of you. Soeun points to you before grinning. "I'm helping Y/n with their homework."
You're too busy thinking over what you're doing to even notice the two older women. It's only when Jisu sits beside you to look over your shoulder did you snap out of concentration.
"Don't mind me. Keep going." She urges you to continue with your work before you turn back to your paper, sighing softly as your brows pinched together. "I'm stuck." You mumble quietly, a pout visible on your features and she can't help cooing at your expression before pinching your cheek. "What's the problem?"
You bring up the essay that's barely put together and Jisu carefully takes it from your hands. You watch as she reads what you've done so far and Nicha sits beside her to check too. "This is good, maybe try avoiding writing too much?" She suggests while pointing to one part. "You can be concise without dragging on details." Nicha agrees and you nod your head, noting their suggestions as you start to write again.
The three of them help you figure out the rest of your essay before you collectively remember that you had to go back to practice. You remind them of the time and it's not long before everyone is back into positions and trying again.
That's how the next few days follow. You manage to do bits of studying in between your practices, but eventually you find yourself growing more and more restless. One time during your breaks, you had to take a look around before frowning when you saw how the other three were able to flawlessly go through the choreography whilst you still stumbled every few times because of how your mind would constantly flit back to your homework.
You begin to feel bad whenever you had to ask the others for help, and you felt a little worse when you had slipped next to Jiwoo that one night as promised and had her cling to you the rest of the night.
You knew they were worried about you, too. It was clear whenever you came home much later than you should be. Sooyoung had to carry you to bed once when you bumped into her in the hallway to your room. She saw just how tired you looked, and with how your body sank into her embrace when she wrapped her arms around you, there was no way she would let you stay up later to study some more.
"Y/n doesn't look too good." Hyeju muttered as she brought her mug to her lips. "They were dead asleep when I checked on them." She added softly and Yerim sighed loudly while sinking into the couch. "She needs to sleep some more." She muttered while glancing at your shared room. "I can't wait for her to graduate. That would be a big weight off her shoulders."
"Wait, doesn't Y/n have school today?" Yeojin asked, confusion clear on her face when she checked the date and Hyeju gestured towards Jungeun and Kahei as they busied themselves in the kitchen. "The unnies said that one day wouldn't hurt." Hyeju answers quietly while staring down at her drink, quietly contemplating on what to do to possibly help you.
Yeojin takes that time to get up and check on what the older members are doing. However, as soon as she reaches your door, it bursts open and you stumble right into her in a hurry.
The two of you end up sprawled on the floor before you're scrambling to your feet, pulling the other up with you as apologies left your mouth in a frenzy. Yeojin had to place both her hands on your shoulders and looked you in the eyes, the best her height could let her.
"Y/n, inhale." You blink but quickly do as she says, inhaling deeply. "Now exhale." Again, you follow her instructions and slowly breathe out, earning a smile from the second maknae. "Good. Now why do you look so panicked?" She inquires and the worry is back as soon as she does. "I'm late for school."
When the words finally leave your lips, Yeojin lets out another breath before taking your hand and then pulling you to join them on the couch, never mind what she was planning to do in the first place.
"You're not going to school today." Hyeju informs you once you're seated and you blink a couple times, making your present roommate giggle. "We can't have you skipping practice but the unnies said you could skip one day of school so you could rest a little." They see that you're about to protest, so Hyeju quickly shuts you down before you can try. "We already asked our managers and they said you get a free pass today."
"... But my homeworks?"
"Already taken cared of." Haseul enters the room with Jungeun before petting your head. "Lip and I went to drop your homework off." She answers before placing down her purse. "We've also talked to some of your teachers and explained the situation so you don't have to worry too much." Jungeun adds when she sits next to you and stretches her legs.
Even with your older members' assurances, you still felt a little queasy with not being able to do these things yourself. You appreciated the help, of course, but you just couldn't seem to sit still.
And Yeojin was quick to notice.
"Y/n, it's just one day. You'll be headed for practice in a couple of hours, so don't think too much about it." She tries to reason and you glance at her before taking in another deep breath just as Jungeun places a hand on your knee, warm and comforting.
For the remaining hours, you sit with your members, doing your best to partake in conversation. Jinsol manages to calm you in the process, pulling you into her arms and cuddling you on the couch while Heejin and Chaewon talk about the brownies the latter had prepared a few days prior. You dozed off somewhere in between the conversation and Jinsol was more than happy to let you nap before you had to leave again.
"Y/n! How are you?" Jisu asks cheerfully when she sees you enter the room and Nicha gives you a quick hug. "I've been alright." It wasn't entirely true given your exhaustion, but they didn't need to be bothered by that. Your performance wasn’t too far away so you didn’t need any more distractions.
Soeun happily bounds over to you, nearly tackling you in a hug when she’s within arms reach. “I can’t believe it’s almost time! I’m going to miss hanging out with you!” She whines and you smile a little while patting her back. “We can still see each other after. Just text me and we’ll set a date.” You promise, Nicha nodding in agreement. “Yeah, Y/n is right. We can still hang out when we’re free.” She agrees while ruffling your hair and Jisu's face brightens before she's searching for her phone and holding it up.
"Let's take a picture!"
Neither you nor Soeun could decline as the two older girls each gave you a hug before taking the picture with the two of you giggling. Jisu plans to take another one once the performance is over, but the picture she managed to take now was perfect on its own.
Right after that, you all fall into routine and start practicing. Polishing was important and you kept a critical eye on your movements to make sure that you were doing everything right. Since you felt like you'd been slacking off, you made sure that you put extra effort into this practice since you wouldn't be meeting on the weekend. You had your other schedules to attend to and you needed to practice for Loona's performance too.
You're nearing the end of the performance, but right as you hear your part before the beat changes, you're hit with a wave of nausea. What caused it, you're not too sure but you're off your feet in seconds.
You had to shut your eyes and focus on your breathing. Your ears were ringing and the girls' voices were all muffled. You could only feel as if your head was placed on someone's lap and trying to ground you back, but due to your worn out state, you find it hard to get your eyes to open again.
By the time you come to, you were surprised to see your dimly lit bedroom. Slowly sitting up, you examine your surroundings before confirming that you were at the dorms.
"Hey, you." A soft voice gathered your attention and you found Sooyoung standing at your door, concern plastered all over her features. "How are you feeling?" She asks while stepping inside, a tray with food and water on it that she places on your bedside table.
She takes a seat next to you once her hands are free and your brows pinch together. "My head hurts a little, but… how did I get home?" You ask quietly, earning a sigh from the older girl before she's ushering you to lean back. "Chuu got a call from Lia. She said you passed out so Vivi unnie and Choerry went to pick you up since they were on their way back." She explains and you instantly grow quiet when you remember that you were with other people.
"We told you to take care of yourself, Y/n. What happened?" She's not mad. Even though she wants to scold you, her expression screams anything but anger. She's genuinely worried about your wellbeing and she wants to make sure that you're okay.
And that only made you feel worse because you know that the rest of your members felt the same.
"I…" Sucking in a deep breath, you pull your knees to your chest. "I was nervous…" You finally say aloud. "A lot was happening at school and I didn't want to fall back while making sure I did well with the performance too." You weren't the best when it came to time management, but the added pressure only made things worse for you.
Sooyoung could see the stress piling up and she could finally understand what you were going through. So with a sigh, she brushed your hair from your face before cupping your cheeks. "You need to take breaks in between. I know that you want to be perfect, but the truth is there's only so much we can do as people." She says firmly, ensuring that you're listening to everything she's saying. "You've been doing your best and that's what matters. You have people around you who are supporting you, so let yourself lean on us too."
Withdrawing her hands, Sooyoung gives you a small smile when she stands up. "Be more careful with yourself, alright?" When you give her a small nod, Sooyoung leans down to press a gentle kiss to your forehead. "Sleep tight, kiddo."
While it is still a bit of a struggle to get rid of your habit of pushing yourself to the limit, your members make sure to watch you and help you relax to the best of their abilities. Your roommates make sure to get you in bed on time while Yeojin and Heejin opt to help you with studying to ensure that you understood the things you had troubles understanding before.
They make sure to keep a pace that they're sure you could follow and Jinsol is soon joining in, more than happy to be a helping hand. Plus, she would shower you with praise whenever you managed to grasp the concept they were teaching well.
Kahei makes sure you're eating properly. While she knows that it wasn't your intention, the girls figured out that you were forgetting to eat your meals on time. When it's time for lunch, she either calls you to join her and some of the other girls or brings the food to you if you're too busy with homework.
She knows that the girls helping you study will make sure you eat.
Everything runs smoothly from there, and without even realizing, it was finally the day of your performance.
"Y/n!"
Your body was thrown back a bit by the sudden force of someone colliding into you. And when you craned your head to check, you couldn't help but smile when you recognize Soeun's face. "How are you feeling?" She asks when she pulls away and you see Nicha and Jisu over her shoulder, both approaching you with smiles on their faces.
"I've been better. The unnies made sure I rested over the weekend." You tell them and Nicha beams before pinching your cheeks. "You better have. You made us worried during practice." She scolds lightly and you smile apologetically. "I know, and I'm really sorry for scaring you guys." You apologize before Jisu squeezed your hand.
"Well, seeing that you're all good now… ready to take the stage?" She asks carefully and you grin at all three of them. "Let's show them what we're made of."
The sound of fans cheering and fellow artists clapping as the platform rose and the spotlight found your figures. You inhaled to calm your nerves before raising your head, smiling when you spotted your members among the sea of people, and they all grinned back with a few waving happily.
As the familiar sound of Forever Young by Blackpink began to play, the screaming only grew louder throughout your performance as you all executed each step right. Weaving through each formation while you sang to your heart's content, the four of you enjoyed the stage while basking in the attention everyone gave you.
Glancing at each other, you threw smirks at the crowd. "Your girls are the revolution!"
If you didn't think the crowd could get any louder, that moment definitely proved you wrong as the roar of the crowd reached your ears. You could see a handful of other artists enjoying the performance too and you were more than relieved up until you reached the last pose with Soeun throwing an arm around your shoulders and Jisu wrapping her own around your waist.
While you did follow a majority of the original choreography, the four of you decided to have your own fun with the ending, and it looked like the perfect fit with how hyped up everyone had gotten with your performance.
Once backstage, the four of you are in another group hug, congratulating each other on a job well done. "Let's take a picture before we have to go!" Jisu exclaimed, excitedly pulling at Soeun's arm while Nicha hooked her arm with yours as you smiled at the camera, feeling much lighter now that the performance was over.
While you were nervous at first, the process did help you gain some new friends. But even when you were meeting them outside your schedules and getting over the nervousness of being an idol, you know that you always had people you could count on.
At the end of the day, your members would always be there to cheer you on and support you no matter how hard things might appear.
"Good job, kiddo! We knew you could do it!" Jungeun clapped your back before giving you a hug right before Jiwoo barreled into you and squeezed tightly. "You were so cool! I didn't know you could rap like that!"
"Good job, Y/n. We're really proud of you." Haseul beamed while pinching your cheek and Yeojin bounced happily while shaking your arm. "And to make it better, you're finally graduating next month!"
Yeah, you were more than content with yourself this time.

Tumblr media
A new academic year has begun means your school will select in senior-level to participate in an exchange program in Korea for 3 months. They held this event every year, and this time they picked you.
Sincerely, it doesn't surprise you that they choose you. You are the best student at your level and also a citizen of Korea. However, it was your first trip to Korea that wasn’t for vacation. You look forward to returning to that country to visit your relatives who live there and to experience studying there. Your mother frequently provided suggestions and lists of things she hoped you would do while you were there.
This certain school is somehow you know. It is your parent's and your other relatives' alma mater
You anticipated that it would be difficult for you to make friends, yet it appears that everyone is more kind than you expected.
Sooyoung, mostly known as Yves, was the first one you met on this campus. She was the one who was tasked with keeping you company during your first week of classes. Because of her aura, you initially assumed she had an attitude and was mean, but it turns out that she is really silly, compassionate, and one of the group's mood setters.
It was lunchtime when the two of you met in the teacher's room. She thought that it was a good time for you to meet her circle of friends. You also got to know Haseul, Vivi, Jungeun, and her girlfriend Jiwoo there. They gave you a very warm welcome that you weren't expecting when you joined their group.
You discovered at that time that you are all classmates. Every time you have a vacant, they always end up showing you about the campus; if not, you all gather in the garden where they sit and they enlighten you with stories, typically about other students and teachers. Being around them is a lot of fun and entertaining.
After a month and a half of your stay in Korea, your teacher announced the upcoming midterms which will happen exactly 2 weeks from now. The six of you decided to hang out in your apartment before everyone went busy.
Have I told you that, Haseul and Vivi are the leading students in your batch, thus they're also part of the student government council? They always study and prepare earlier for any exams influencing the other three.
You are in your kitchen preparing some kimchi fried rice when you felt someone approaching you.
You didn't have to turn your head to know who is it. By the smell of her perfume, it is for sure her.
"It's almost finished, Kim," you said to her.
"Well, I was about to ask.." her tone was surprised. She placed her right elbow on your left shoulder and slightly leaned on it.
Not expecting to become this close with her, to be completely honest. She seemed all snobby when you first met her, but she soon developed a talkative side that you weren't expecting. Additionally, since the other two pairs were couples, You two eventually ended up together.
You and Jungeun get along despite having different personal preferences for various aspects. When the two of you had to decide on particular issues, she decides the majority of the time. You weren't sure why you so carelessly let her make those choices. Maybe it's because you like watching her smile when she won arguments between the two of you. Or perhaps you're starting to like her and only thinking about making her happy.
It was not hard for you to confirm that you are slowly falling for her. You have been honest and patient with yourself in your entire life. You experience both enthusiasm and comfort at the same moment as you acknowledge your feelings for her. Still, many things remain to be discovered. So, you should take your time to completely learn and discover the unique pieces that build her up as a whole.
Jungeun hears you mumble, "Say ahh," as you place the spoon with the right portion of the fried rice in front of her mouth after gently blowing it.
She took a bite of the dish and nodded, "Delicious. I should let the others know so we can have the table cleared." You agreed to her and turned off the stove.
To Jungeun, these humble acts of kindness matter a lot. Since you two became friends, you have been taking care of her, which she cherishes. Her heart is so filled with gratefulness.
You take enough bowls and plates for everyone from the cabinet while you wait for assistance, then you place them on the kitchen counter.
While Jungeun was in the kitchen, someone secretly observed you mischievously. She keeps silent as she watches the two of you, preparing to tease you later.
Your apartment's living room quickly fell into silence, save for the occasional sound of the spoon striking the ceramic. You're all concentrating on eating the food. It was quiet until Haseul asked, "It's Saturday tomorrow. What are your plans?"
Yves and Jiwoo, the couple, said they have a date because it is their anniversary. While Vivi makes plans with her Chinese pals, Haseul would attend a family reunion. You simply gave them a shrug as a sign that you were uncertain. While Jungeun just said, "Probably napping. This week drained my energy,"
Yves cheekily said, "How about you and y/n go out tomorrow." She suggested, and her girlfriend grinned and said, "She's right! Have a date too." Sooyoung and Jiwoo turned to face each other and gave each other a high-five. In comparison to their date, they appear more enthusiastic about their suggestion.
"I agree with them, how about Jungeun tour her around the city", said Vivi.
These recommendations force your blood to start rushing to your face. Even so, you didn't have high expectations because she had previously stated that she only wanted to spend the day in bed.
"Why don't you just date each other? You'll make a cute couple together." Haseul said out of nowhere.
You think that every minute their suggestions are getting out of hand.
Jungeun muttered, "Seul." she is currently quite shy. Even though she made an effort to conceal it, her face is flushed.
"LOL, looks like our Lippie hasn't moved on yet..." Jiwoo playfully rolled her eyes to Jungeun, "Oops, sorry." she said regretting that she brought up that topic.
Oh? She was in a relationship?
you murmured to your mind.
In any case, Jungeun's love life hasn't been a topic in recent weeks. They might be avoiding it because it's a sensitive subject to them.
"It's not that easy, Jiwoo, you know," Jungeun said with a hushed tone.
All of a sudden, the room was silent. Nobody is willing to talk.
Vivi asked to lighten the mood, "Are you guys finished eating?" Everyone nods as everyone assists Vivi in cleaning the table.
After some time, when you all decided to play some games you had, your apartment was once more filled with yells and laughs. Jiwoo and Yves are responsible for the noise that is possibly audible outside.
//
You were awakened by your doorbell on Saturday morning. You checked the digital clock on your nightstand and saw it showed "11:15 am.".
While putting on your glasses and yawning, you headed to the door to check your morning's disturbance.
Opening your door, you immediately regret thinking of her as a disruption.
Jungeun is waiting patiently and waving at you, "Good Morning!"
You responded with a smile and added, "Good morning! You should come in. That looks heavy." as soon as you saw the bags she was carrying. You flung the door open and reached for the bags.
"Oh yeah, I got some food from our house. I informed my Mom that I'm visiting you today. Sorry, I think I made you woke up." She apologized, feeling bad for her unexpected visit.
"It's okay." laying the lunchbox on top of your coffee table in the living room and saying, "Have a seat, Do you want to watch Netflix? I'm just gonna take a quick shower." you get the remote control and turned the tv on.
Jungeun entered the living room and took a seat on the sofa. She said softly and grinned at you, "Take your time."
Not long after, you went out of your room in your baggy t-shirt and cotton shorts. Jungeun briefly glanced at you while seeking an interesting movie before returning her focus to the television.
"You should eat your brunch first before we watch some movies or drama."
Following her order, you sat beside her and opened the lunch boxes that Jungeun brought for you.
The food was neatly organized and very appetizing for you. It is also obvious from the smell that it is indeed delicious. There's even a bunch of side dishes that are authentically made. The meal has meats, veggies, and of course, rice. You assume that the food she gave you will last for three days.
"Omg, This looks amazing." you said, "Please tell Auntie Kim that I'm so grateful for this food. I appreciate you bringing this as well."
Jungeun informs you, "She said that you might be missing some authentic homemade foods so she packed you some when I told her that I'm going here." She is glad that you appreciate it so much.
To begin eating, you went to your kitchen to grab some utensils.
"Oh, and why did you come today, by the way? I thought you were too tired to leave your house."
Jungeun stopped browsing Netflix and her face starts to become red. She was baffled for a second, thinking of a great excuse to use.
"W-well, u-uhh...I-i got...I realized that I want to hang out, and you're the only one that is free so yeah." She nodded, trying to convince herself that it was a solid explanation.
She was relieved when you seem to buy her excuse. You hummed and just nodded too.
Jungeun noticed your glasses getting moist from the steam of the food she brought.
Cute
You keep eating until you are so full that you can’t breathe. After that, you immediately clean the table so that you two can watch a film or a drama. You exit the kitchen with sodas and chips for the two of you.
Jungeun slightly leaning on the arm of the couch saw you and suggested, "Is it okay if we watch some web drama?"
"Sure," you agreed softly before giving her some chips and placing the drinks on the table.
The two of you soon feel completely comfortable. Jungeun is curled up on the sofa, her head resting on your leg. However, because you just ate, you are unable to lie down.
When your back started to become tired of the position, you tried to recline on the other end of the sofa without bothering Jungeun. Naturally, this won't work, and when she realized this, she stood up from lying down and slightly leaned on your shoulder instead to share the blanket you had given her because she started to be cold.
You immediately felt the warmth of her body and blanket. Additionally the warmth she has given you in your heart.
It feels domestic.
You begin to believe that the universe is conspiring in your favor. This day is a special one, and no matter how it ends, you're very delighted.
The two of you were so engrossed in the drama's storyline that you were unaware of the passing of time. You learned that Jungeun is the type of girl that leaves side comments in almost every scene. She always has something to say, like she's also part of it.
Which you find so adorable.
You two decided to go for a stroll. No specific places to go.
The first stop was in the ice cream shop. Jungeun complained that she needs her daily sugar intake. Which caused you to respond, "But sugar is present in almost all food."
"You don't get it", she said, rolling her eyes at you. Which you replied with a chuckle.
Your mind began to wander off. For the past month with Jungeun, you felt a lot of things. You experienced being her seatmate, partner in crime, cafe buddy, and many more. Especially, on what it feels like to fall in love with her. She could be a great girlfriend.
Then, without realizing it, you began to picture her as your girlfriend. Creating all of these scenarios wherein you'll never star in.
You ask, "Should we watch the sunset?" since you're both headed to Hangang Park anyway. Sunset plus with Jungeun? It makes you feel the butterflies in your stomach
Jungeun nodded and slightly grinned, "U-uhh s-sure, I think it will be great."
Jungeun is honest enough to admit that she's not sure if she was okay with this.
The place will just remind her of memories from her past. She always went back there, only for her to end up going home with a heavy heart. But now that she has a companion, things might be different.
I'll be fine…I hope so
She thought to herself
You two continued to tease and argue with one another the entire time you were heading to the park. Both of you decided to sit on the grass, so you went out and purchased a mat to sit on and some food because she keeps complaining about being hungry.
The colors of the sky as the sun sets draw the attention of both you and Jungeun. Orange and slightly pink hues were beginning to fill the sky.
"So gorgeous." You have loved sunsets for as long as you can remember. You're not sure why, but it always makes you feel comfortable.
Its colors, which made the sky entrancing, change constantly.
Sunsets are like days every week; each one is special in and of itself.
On the other hand, there's Jungeun, lost in her thoughts. Someone who enjoys the opposite of sunsets comes to her mind. Despite leaving her broken, the person she misses dearly.
Her expressions were reflected in her eyes, which simply conveyed sadness.
You questioned Jungeun, "Heyy, are you alright?" but all she did was gaze at your worried expression.
"Can I tell you a secret?", She spoke abruptly before returning her attention to the sky.
You mumbled your response, "Uhmm sure."
"This park is our very special place." She opened up.
"with your ex?"
"Technically, she left before we became official so I don't know if it is counted as ex, but yeah..", "Sorry, I shouldn't saying and ranting this to you." She replied, unsure of if she will continue to let her feelings out.
Her tone of uncertainty caught your attention. "It's fine, Jungeun. I'm your friend you can vent out your emotions with me right now."
Setting your feelings aside. You are willing to spend some time with her to soothe her heartache and comfort her.
The most important matter for Jungeun right now is letting her emotions out. She needs a friend, and you are that friend. Jungeun doesn't need a response. She simply requires someone to listen.
She breathes heavily, "Well, I want to tell the others about what's going on in my mind and about what I feel, but doing so could make them dislike her even more, which I don't like because after all, she's still our friend. So, I just keep it to myself...", you nod as she speaks.
"Of course, it was difficult for us, especially me. She disappeared like a bubble. After that, I questioned myself if I did something that made her leave. I overthink so much. Thinking many possible causes of her disappearance."
Jungeun left a big sigh, "Two days before it, we were happy. We even had a sleepover at Vivi's place. Then, She suddenly stopped attending classes which made us worried. We tried everything to contact her but we can't. But like an idiot, I've continued to message her up till now. We even asked her parents also, and they said that Jinsol told them that they should not tell us and she'll be having some break."
"The most upset person was Yves. Despite her being her best buddy, she has no idea what the heck is going on. Since then, Jinsol became a sensitive topic to us."
"At that time, I don't know what to do. I was left broken. For me, she was my greatest love."
"The happiness that I experienced with her is very different. I began to wonder if I would ever feel the same level of happiness that I did while we were together if she didn't return. Because with her, I felt incredibly loved and secure. Will I ever meet someone who can give me those feelings?"
You absorb all of this info from her. The sadness and anxiety they felt are evident, especially to her.
By now, you are sure that Jungeun is really into her. And her feelings are strong enough to the point she's willing to wait for Jinsol's uncertain return. That she's ready to forgive her despite those heartbreaks.
"She's very lucky." Her stares landed on yours as you muttered those words.
Too lucky to have you.
"She'll come back, for sure.", you added.
It's her loss if she didn't.
"Perhaps she's having trouble figuring out some things on her own as well. Because sometimes, there are problems that only yourself can solve."
Jungeun deeply looked into your eyes, understanding your point, "I just really wish right now is for her to come back." She turned to look at the sky, which was getting dimmer by the second.
"Y/n, Thank you so much for listening. I needed that. It lightens the weight of my concerns." She smiled still looking at the sky, too shy to face you.
"You're always welcome, Jungeun. Everything will be fine." You said and gently tapped her back.
"You should share a secret too." She said playfully to you and giggled.
"Maybe, next time" you smirked.
The night had grown entirely dark, and the breeze had grown chilly. The two of you quickly decided to return home. You accompany Jungeun to the bus stop, where you wait until she got a ride.
It was a calm walk.
Everyone is silent, just taking in the chill breeze.
In retrospect, you can see that your day was an emotional rollercoaster. Another rush of experiences and perceptions.
From afar, you saw a bus approaching. Jungeun got up from sitting and then got ready for it.
Both of you take your goodbyes, "goodbye, Y/n. today was a special day." Jungeun said.
"Thank you also," you answer her with a soft smile, "Uhm by the way, can I ask you for a favor?" you asked.
"oh sure, what is it?" she replied waiting for your response.
"Please message me when she returns." This caught her off guard hence she nodded her head.
Before she got on the bus, you two waved and smiled at one another one last time.

Now that a new week has started, everyone is once busier. They are occupied finishing up their backlog and studying for their approaching midterms. Haseul and Vivi are very active on the student council. Since you are an exchange student, you have to do some other assignments from your additional courses. Even though it was simple, there are too many to complete in one sitting. You’ll also take the exams in a different room with a different schedule.
You six can hardly hang around together. Yves, Jiwoo, and Jungeun are left together when you and the other two are busy. Occasionally, it was you and Jungeun who were left when you cannot find the other couples.
After what happened in the park, you and Jungeun became closer than before. Sooyoung once saw you trying to tutor Jungeun in the library, but the latter fell asleep and you were busy staring at her, peacefully sleeping. She thinks that something is going on between the two of you. Well, it was just her assumption since she never asked.
Yves has been shipping the two of you since you and Jungeun became close last month. She keeps teasing both of you. Looking back on what she saw in the library, She thought that her ship is sailing.
Maybe, it is. Her ship is sailing but as a friend.
//
You were attempting to go over all of the notes that were piled up on your study table on a Friday night. You think that time went fast these days. You had just completed and turned in most of your homework earlier that day. Reviewing all the subjects from the previous month and a half is now your responsibility.
Studying was never a problem for you because you enjoy learning new things. Every time you receive a high grade, you feel immensely satisfied.
You were too caught up in your studies that you forgot to check your phone making Jungeun's message left unread.
//
The next day, you woke up on your study table. You cannot remember when did you fall asleep and on what subject you stopped.
Leaning on the backrest of your chair, you felt the pain coming from the back of your neck and this made you hiss. You are sure you have stiffed neck from sleeping on your table.
Your phone vibrated indicating that someone is calling you.
The caller's id shows it was the head of the school.
"Good Morning, Ms. Jung. How may I help you today?" you politely said.
"Good Morning, Ms. Y/n. Can I meet you today at my office? I need to discuss some things regarding your program."
"Sure, Ms. What time should I go there?"
"Around 10 am, will do. Thank you."
"Noted. Thank you."
You wonder what she'll talk about with you later. Since you haven't encountered any problem there since your stay, you are unsure of what the issue will be.
Checking the time on your phone, it shows, "8:56 am"
After that, you checked your inbox and read it one by one.
The first and only caught your attention was Jungeun's message last night.
Despite being brief, it stayed in your head for hours.
She's back.
You tried to shake it off and lay at ease but it was harder than you thought.
Why am I feeling this way? I already know and accept that she'll never be mine. There is nothing to be disappointed in.
You drag yourself grumpily to the restroom. Furious that you're feeling that way. Even though you are still happy that she is back, you find yourself hating the thought of it.
Opening the hot shower to relax. You must proceed since you have a meeting with Ms. Jung.
You have known from the morning that today will be difficult, and after the meeting, that prediction comes true. The school's head of administration notifies you that the exchange program's duration will be shortened. You get a week of preparation before returning to your original school after taking all of the examinations and additional subjects.
Laying down on your bed while taking some soothing music. Your breathing is heavy and slow. You've been trying to use your phone less since morning. You felt like you're gonna pass out from all of the things you had today.
You can't even start studying, too distracted to absorb all the topics.
It's too draining.
Besides that, you are unsure of how to inform others of your departure. They might not comprehend also that she has returned right now. You don't know for sure, though if they are aware of this news.
You heard your doorbell ring in your apartment.
The intercom shows a girl in her jeans and cardigan in front of your doorway.
"What's up?", slightly confused about her sudden visit.
"Can I talk to you? Sorry if it was too late but...I want to talk to you." a hint of persistence is evident in her voice.
"Ohh okay, come in."
Yves went to your living room while you go to the kitchen to find something she can drink.
"Are there any drinks you'd want to have?" You questioned, wishing she wouldn't hear the fatigue in your voice.
"Do you have a beer?" You heard her faint response. Fortunately, you still have the two cans that were extra from the previous day.
While you opened your can, you handed her beer. "So, is there any problem?" You sat down on the sofa across from her and asked calmly.
She has no idea how to express what she wants to say, "Well, Uhhh... I simply want to know if you have heard the news of Jinsol."
You could tell she was worried by the way she spoke. You nod your head in response to her question.
"Have you admitted your feelings to Jungeun yet?" You were somewhat taken off guard by that, but you anticipated it.
You took a sip of your beer, "No, and I don't truly have a plan to."
After hearing your reply, Yves fixed his gaze on you. She attempts to read your facial expressions and feelings, but you are too composed to even say anything. "Why not? Even just a try?" she asked, shrugging, "...you know just to prevent future what-ifs."
"Well, right now my heart just wants to follow where my mind is free," you sigh as you shake your head.
"Why is that so?"
"From the beginning, I can feel how important she is to Jungeun. She always thinks about her and longs for her presence. Jinsoul reminds her of almost everything." You explain.
"But when the two of you are together, she appears to be having fun and looks to be enjoying herself." The latter tries to point out, "When she's with you, it seems like she's with Jinsol."
"She is just distracted, Yves. She might be having a good time with me but her feelings are not the same. There's no point in telling her about my feelings. It will just complicate a lot of things, to be honest. And I know that Jinsoul loves her just as much as she does."
"I'm opposed to that. She even ghosted and left Jungeun without saying anything."
"She has her reasons. I don't know exactly what are those, just trust her, please. Perhaps, she's still your friend. She needs that time to realize things on her own."
"How can you even say that? As far as I've known, you two haven't met yet."
"Jinsoul... She's my cousin," you chuckle a little and smiled bitterly
Yves's loud gasp broke her control. She gives you a bewildered look.
"To be completely honest, Jinsoul frequently likes to tell me about this girl that she finds very endearing. How much she loves her and wants to keep her safe."
You down your beer, "I hope I realized sooner that she was referring to Jungeun. She loves her to the point where she begins to doubt herself. Because Jinsol uses this nickname, I didn't realize it until Jiwoo called Jungeun by that name. I now understand how she felt when she fell in love with her."
When you thought back on how complicated this was, a small pang of sadness arose in your heart.
Yves was left lost in thought. She still finds it hard to believe what she just heard.
What a tiny world
she thought
"But why didn't you tell me that you are related?" She gave you a dissatisfied expression.
"After discovering about her relationship with you guys, I decided it wasn't nice to bring up.”, you tap her shoulder and stare into her eyes, "I am genuinely sorry about my decision that causes your disappointment."
She simply nods while averting your look. She finishes the last of the beer before getting up.
"Okay, I understand." She whispered.
Yves was ready to put her shoes on and walk up to your door, " I'm going now and I'm sorry for crashing this late."
"Sooyoung, I have to tell you something." You speak again causing her to pause and face you
"What?" she mumbled.
"I'm leaving Korea in two weeks." You said giving her a sad smile.
Sooyoung holds both of your shoulders slightly aggressively. "What?!"
Too many revelations in a day. "You're joking, right? you still have like a month.", she says as her head begins to ache and she questions whether she can handle further information
She finds it all difficult to believe. Not expecting you to go earlier than anticipated. You grew to care deeply for them, and vice versa. She is aware of how much they will miss having you there.
"The program's period has shortened due to some circumstances, please don't tell the others, yet" you explained briefly, tapping her hand.
Your heart aches just thinking of leaving them. Even though you have buddies back home, you became fond of them. Their bond was unique. It is a very special one.
"You should go now. The night is getting older," you said goodbye to her, she was brought back to reality by this to which she replied with just a nod.
After your conversation with Yves, you had some relief. That evening, you also begin to consider confessing to Jungeun.
Sooyoung has a point. I should confess. Last chance
Minutes of spacing out, your phone blinked, displaying a message from Yves informing you that she had reached her house safely.
Going through your contacts, you clicked Jungeun's and sent her a message.
Can we meet tomorrow?
After a couple of seconds, she replied.
Jungiiee sent you a message (10:15 pm)
Sure, Where are we going to meet?
You replied, "Hangang park, 5 pm."
That night, you slept shortly after. For someone who has gone through a lot that day, it is a much-needed rest.
//
The color of the sky begins to shift to one that is more serene. The colors pink, yellow, sky blue, and orange collide making the sky even more beautiful than it was. The tranquil hue of the sky reflects on the river, enhancing its beauty.
You were so preoccupied with the sky that you failed to even notice when she arrived.
"Did you wait too long?"
Your head immediately turns to the girl asking. "Hey, sorry. I didn't notice you sooner."
Jungeun laughs because it was obvious that you forgot about your surroundings for being engrossed with the sunset.
She has already seen you from a distance as you were busy grinning and taking in the mellow sky before she ever comes close to you.
Jungeun thought it was an adorable scene.
"It's fine. You look like a kid watching her favorite scene in a cartoon," she said trying to tease you.
You glare at her, "Between the two of us, you know that you are the kid here, Kim."
This statement made you earn a big slap on your arm. Which you just laugh out.
She rolled her eyes and sat beside you.
"Oh yeah, why do you want to meet with me today?" She asked curiously.
Your grin has slightly softened. This simple question made you silent for a moment.
"Wait..let me think." You put your hand on your chin pretending to think. She laughs at your antics thinking you're just being playful.
You chuckled when you notice that she bought your joke. However, the reality is that you don't know the answer.
Why? I'm not sure, though.
Perhaps I just want to be with you?
to spend some time alone with you before I go?
Before you return to her?
or perhaps because I want to confess?
These are the thoughts that are going through your head.
Jungeun then begins to look up at the sky, where the color is beginning to become saturated.
On the other hand, you're also just quietly taking in the breathtaking scenery. The main factor that made you feel sincere happiness while remaining in Korea for the last few weeks was the scenery that you are currently gazing at. She leads you to make choices you never imagined making, such as letting go of something you wish you would have. You grew more mentally and emotionally thanks to Jungeun.
"Can I tell you a secret?" you spoke abruptly not putting away your attention on her.
"Uhmm sure," she replied.
Deja vu
This already happened in the past.
Last week.
Saturday.
The only distinction between you and her is that you are in her position.
In anticipation of your secret, Jungeun gave you a quick look.
She turned to gaze back as you turned to face the sunset with a contented smile.
"The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?" You mumbled under your breath.
The latter simply nodded her head in agreement with your claim, and her only reply to you was, "Hmm."
Her response was too short to determine if she understood the phrase or not.
The silence was broken by Jungeun after a little while.
She gave you an impatient look, "You know, I'm still waiting for your secret."
She was still viewing the sunset as you laughed at her. You felt a little more at ease knowing she didn't understand.
I knew she wouldn't get it
"I already said it."
She said, feeling extremely lost, "But you just asked about how lovely the sunset is, which is not a secret, by the way."
Chuckling at her, you ask, "How about let's buy some food? I got hungry waiting for you." trying to annoy her.
"Well, I didn't know you were earlier than expected time. You didn't even bother messaging me, so it's not my fault." She said seriously which made you chuckle again.
The rest of your time in the park was spent having a very typical picnic. You both attempted to ride bikes and explore the park. She then took multiple pictures. Jungeun and you were also amused by the pets there. You two talked about a lot of random stuff and cherished each other's company.
Will she remember everything we did and the places we visited while I was here?
This might be your last quality time being alone together, so you savor this moment 'til it lasts.
You wish again that this day would not end.
When she received a message notification, the moonlight was already reflecting on the two of you.
Her face beams as she read the message, "Oh, it's Jinsol." she said.
"We should go home then." You smiled at her and offered to take her to the bust stop again.
What you hoped earlier was not fulfilled. Everything comes to an end.
Since the moment was too lovely to remember, you didn't even get a chance to inform her about your connection to Jinsol and your departure.
As you make your way back to your room, your thoughts begin to drift once more to all the alternatives.
What if I met her before Jinsol?
What if I am her?
Would Jungeun still love me the same way?
Would she wait for me as well?
You need someone's assistance to bring you back to reality because you are quite lost in thoughts.
You were alone once more on this chilly evening to cope with your agony.
You may have already believed that you were used to it, but deep down you know that what you are feeling is genuine.
So this is how saying goodbye to your first love feels like.
While on the bus, Jungeun seems bothered. There is something that makes her wander through her thoughts. As the bus goes down the highway, Jungeun talks to herself.
The sunset is beautiful, isn't it? wait I must have read it somewhere.
She tries to remember the meaning behind those words.
Suddenly, it's her stop. She walks down the street leading to her home. Still thinking about the phrase that you said.
“I can't think straight, I am not myself at this exact moment. I better be cleaning up and take some rest", she said whispered to herself.
After taking a warm bath, Jungeun jumps straight off her bed.
As she was browsing on her phone. You texted Jungeun. "Did you get home safely?".
The message appeared in her notifications tab. Jungeun was about to answer your message when she saw a video about phrases and the hidden meanings behind them.
" ‘The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?’ means I love you, but I am letting you go...."
She then realizes what you wanted to say to her. Staring at the ceiling for a couple of minutes, still processing what you said.
Instead of answering your message, she replied.
"Did you mean what you said? If so, why didn't you tell me much earlier?"
You immediately saw her reply, and there are many things that you want to say. But you decided not to express it.
"Things are much better this way. Furthermore, I am leaving in just two weeks. So you weren't able to see me for a while. No, this might be the last time that we can talk. Jinsol is back and I want you to be happy with her, Jungeun. That's all that matters"

Baby, You’re Worth It
Idol: Kim Lip (Loona)
Prompt: Hi, could I please request a Loona scenario for Kim Lip coming back from tour and going to surprise her gf only to find her looking unhealthy and completely underweight because she’s been to busy with school to take care of herself please?
Writer: Admin Kiwi
A/N: Loona is finally going on tour! Is anyone going? Admin Lee and I sure are and we're super excited! They've made it so far and I'm so proud of them! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little scenario.
Tumblr media
Going on tour was exhilarating. Honestly, everything still felt a bit unreal to Jungeun, like she was in a dream where she had achieved all the things she wanted to do. Not too long ago, debut and success had seemed like some far away fantasy. Now she was on tour with eleven other women who shared her dream, singing and dancing for hundreds of fans who screamed her name and looked up at her with adoring gazes as she spoke. It was all a bit much to take in, yet the days flew by in a blur of traveling, practicing, and performing. Before she knew it, she was already on a plane back to Korea.
But as much as she had loved standing up on stage and seeing so many fans, she found herself relieved to be going home. Of course, a big part of that was because she was exhausted: she wanted nothing more than to faceplant into her bed and sleep for 24 hours straight.
The biggest reason she couldn’t wait to be home was you, though. Even throughout her promotions, the two of you had never been away from each other for this long. At first, the two of you had texted constantly, with her sending photos and updating you about every stop. But as the tour wore on, and your finals came around, the texts came less and less. She had less time, and assumed that it was the same for you, since the last text you’d sent had been about school being too hard, with a crying emoji. That had been a few days ago, and Jungeun had to admit that she was a bit worried after receiving no replies. Still, she tried to push her worries aside, since she knew she had a habit of worrying a bit too much, especially when she was tired.
So with the tour now behind her and Seoul waiting ahead, she settled into her seat on the plane and closed her eyes, imagining your smiling face and your warm hugs as she drifted off to sleep.
-
The long flight back to Seoul went by in a blur of much-needed sleep and half asleep snacking, and before Jungeun knew it, it was midnight and she was standing in her dorm room again, her suitcase in her hand and a dazed look on her face. The tour was really over now. Yawning, she left her suitcase by the door and fell onto her bed, relieved to be back in such a familiar, safe space. She wanted nothing more than to stretch out and go back to sleep, but first she pulled out her phone and typed out a quick text.
-Made it back home safe and sound! So sleepy, but I want to see you soon. I’ve missed you.
She loaded the text with emojis and a little crying dog sticker before pulling her blanket up to her chin and falling right back to sleep, her body relaxing for the first time in weeks.
-
When she woke up again, the sun was shining brightly through the blinds, her bandmates were making a ruckus in the kitchen, and she had a brand new text from you.
-I’m glad you got back safe! I’ve missed you soooooo much! Want to come over?
Smiling, she sat up and stretched, feeling excited and refreshed after a great night’s sleep better than any she’d had in months.
-I’ll be over soon! Want me to bring lunch?
As she got out of bed, your reply came.
-Omg yes please!
With a skip in her step, she hummed as she got ready, pulling on her most comfortable t-shirt and her favorite pants and reveling in the fact that she didn’t have to worry about having her makeup and hair done. Instead, she just pulled her hair into a loose ponytail and grabbed her bag, heading out her bedroom door with a skip in her step.
As she approached the kitchen, Haseul looked up from where she was helping Yeojin cook her breakfast and raised her eyebrows, a sweet smile on her lips.
“Going to see (Y/N)?”
Jungeun couldn’t help but smile back, even if her cheeks burned a bit with embarrassment as she slipped past the other girls and headed to the fridge. “Is it that obvious?”
“Yes, you look refreshed all of a sudden,” Yves replied from the table, grinning around her chopsticks as a sleepy Jiwoo nodded beside her.
“In a good way,” Haseul assured her, even as Yeojin giggled and whispered something under her breath that was undoubtedly directed towards her. Jungeun decided to ignore the younger girl (she’d had plenty of practice doing it during tour) and instead looked over the contents of the fridge. It was rather empty, since they’d only just now gotten back, and she made a mental note to stop by the store and grab snacks on her way to your apartment.
“I’ll probably be gone for a while, I’m going to eat with them,” she said as she closed the fridge and stepped back past the other girls to grab her keys.
“Have fun!” Haseul gave her a wave and the rest of the girls in the kitchen followed suit, sending her off with well-wishes (and one unmentionable comment from Yeojin that earned her a swat from Haseul). Rolling her eyes with a grin, Jungeun waved back before stepping into her shoes and leaving the dorms. It was a beautiful day outside, and she took a deep breath as she bounded down the stairs out to the street and towards the corner store. She was glad you didn’t live far, since that meant she could walk and enjoy herself.
While her body was still a bit sore from dancing nonstop for weeks, it felt nice to stretch out her legs after sleeping for so long. She made it to the corner store in no time and savored the familiar smells as she stepped inside, smiling and greeting the owner who stood behind the counter. After grabbing a basket, she filled it up with your favorite treats and some energy drinks before heading back to the counter, satisfied with her haul.
After sweetly welcoming her back, the owner sent her on her way with her purchases, and soon enough she was at your door with her arms full of bags and her heart pounding excitedly in her chest as she rang your doorbell.
Her heart stopped pounding when you opened the door, though, and she concern rush through her entire body.
There were deep dark circles under your eyes, and you looked weak and pale, squinting at the light as you opened the door. Even as you smiled, your face didn’t light up like it usually did when you saw her, and she noticed that your face seemed to be thinner than it was when she last saw you. Unable to stop herself, she immediately put down her bags and cupped your face.
“(Y/N), baby, are you okay? Are you sick?”
You seemed confused for a moment before you smiled sheepishly. “Oh. Sorry, I know I look rough. I’ve been so focused on finals I haven’t been sleeping.”
Jungeun’s friends called her the mom of the group for a reason, and she felt her instinct to take care of the people she loves come over her as she took you into her arms, feeling that your skin was hot to the touch.
“Don’t apologize, but are you eating enough? Are you drinking enough water? It feels like you’re running a slight fever, have you taken any medicine?”
“Um, I might have forgotten to eat anything for a while.”
“And just how long is a while?”
“Well.... A few days?”
Jungeun gasped in shock and immediately sprang into action, letting you go in order to grab her bags. “You can’t do that! Here, go sit down and I’ll make you something. You need something to recover your strength, I won’t have you getting sick over school work. While I’m cooking, you can eat the snacks I brought to tide you over and get something in your stomach. Oh! And here, I bought you a drink that helps your health and energy since I know you’ve been studying a lot.” As she spoke, she guided you back into your apartment and sat you down on your couch in a way that showed you that she would not take no for an answer.
“Babe, I promise I’m okay, I just missed a couple meals because I got busy. You don’t have to do all of this for me,” you tried to assure her, but she shook her head.
“Yes, I do. I care about you and I won’t stand for you being sick or hungry.” She gave you a little smile and kissed your cheek. “Let me take care of you, okay?”
You let out a little sigh, knowing you couldn’t argue with her, and sank back into your seat. “Okay. I won’t say no to food.”
“Good. Now rest up and snack. Once we have some food in you, we’ll talk about how you ended up this way.” With that, she headed for your kitchen and grabbed her phone to order groceries, determined to make you something that would bring some of the life back to your eyes.
-
Not even an hour later, the two of you were sat at the table, you with a large steaming bowl of chicken soup in front of you, packed full of chicken and ginseng. Jungeun watched carefully as you took a bite and hummed contentedly, your eyes closing as you savored the flavor.
“It’s so good,” you said, a smile coming to your lips. “I haven’t had home-cooked food like this in so long.”
“I’m glad you like it. Eat a lot, it’s refreshing and it’ll give you energy.” Proud of herself, Jungeun finally took a bite from her own, much smaller bowl. It was good, and mentally she gave herself a pat on the back.
You ate quickly, and she tried not to think about how little you must have been eating to be this hungry, but worry took over once again and she found herself watching you, upset that you felt that school was more important than your health. Still, she didn’t say anything, letting you finish your food in a comfortable silence, only interrupted when you asked her about her tour between bites.
“Tour was great,” she said, giving you a smile, “but I’m happy to be back home. I missed you a lot.”
“I missed you too. I don’t think we’ve ever gone this long without seeing each other before.”
“And obviously we can’t go that long again,” she said, only half joking. “I’ll die of worry thinking you’re starving or sick.”
You grinned sheepishly and took the last bite of your chicken, savoring it before putting your spoon down and looking at the table instead of your girlfriend. “Sorry. I was just so worried about these finals. I couldn’t think of anything other than what would happen if I failed.”
“You wouldn’t fail,” she said confidently, reaching over to hold your hand. “You’re really smart, (Y/N), you should have more confidence in yourself.”
“But this semester was really hard, and I knew if I failed I would have to take the classes again and everyone would be upset, and that scared me.”
Her chest hurt for you as she got up and moved to your side of the table, wrapping you in a tight hug. “I wouldn’t be upset, and I know your friends wouldn’t be upset. We love you for you, not for your grades or your accomplishments. You’re so much more than your grades, baby.” When she pulled away, she cupped your face in her hands and had you look up at her. Your eyes were brimming with tears as they locked with hers, and she had to swallow down her own tears at the sight. “Whenever you feel this way, please reach out to me. I’m here to support you. I’m here for you to lean on. Even if I’m thousands of miles away or in a different country, you mean the world to me. I’ll drop everything to come for you.”
You sniffed, trying to blink away your tears. “Am I really worth all of that? I don’t want to be a burden on you.”
“Of course you’re worth it! Your feelings aren’t a burden, never say that.” She kissed your forehead and wiped the tears from your cheeks. “I’m here to stay. I’m not going anywhere. I’ll cook for you a hundred times if it means seeing you happy and healthy.”
“But you aren’t getting anything in return!”
“Yes, I am! I get to be around you, and see you smile, and hug you and kiss you. You bring me so much happiness every day, (Y/N).” Her voice was soft as she caressed your cheek, and you brought your hands up to hold hers as she spoke. “I love every part of you, and I love being with you. You give me strength when I’m tired, too, you know? Remember when you brought me snacks during my trainee days, or sent me flowers when I made my debut and sat front and center as I performed to make sure there was someone cheering for me? Remember when you would order food to be delivered to me when I was out promoting and didn’t have time? Or when you made me a cake on Loona’s one year anniversary? I’ve gained so much strength from you. Every time I want to give up, I think about you and I know you’re supporting me, and I get the energy to keep moving.”
“I didn’t know you thought that way,” you said, your voice trembling as your lips moved up into a small, affectionate smile. “You speak of me like I’m some amazing person.”
“Because to me, you are. You’re my everything.”
Through a surg of emotion, you leaned up and kissed her sweetly, making her eyes flutter closed. When you pulled away, your eyes were shining again, and some of the color had returned to your face.
“Thank you,” you whispered, and she leaned in to give your lips one more peck before pressing her forehead to yours.
“Promise me you’ll reach out to me next time you’re struggling?”
“I promise,” you said with a sweet smile, closing your eyes, and she let out a soft laugh, wrapping you in her arms again.
“Thank you,” she whispered back, breathing in your familiar smell and relaxing into your touch as you held her back. She was finally home, back in your arms where she belonged. “I love you,” she said, one more time, just to make sure you knew she meant it, and your arms squeezed around her tighter, pulling her ever closer.
“I love you too.”

“when someone's like, i don’t know, hurt or something, and the other character's like, tending to their wounds, and then just, wrap the other into their arms, thankful they’re alive”
can that someone (the one that’s hurt) be kim lip? thanks!
i care . kim lip x gn!reader about . 493 words, fluff warnings . injury
"does it hurt, princess?"
jungeun shakes her head, although the movement from her shoulder causes her to slightly wince, making her lie evident. she watches as you scold her for moving, applying the healing balm to her shoulder and massaging it in softly.
"i still don't understand why you jumped in front of me like that. your majesty is lucky that something serious didn't happen."
"well y/n," jungeun starts, causing you to look up at her, "i just didn't want you to get hurt".
truthfully, jungeun has no idea why she even jumped in front of you to protect you from the incoming loose metal of your opponent's sword during a practice sparring session. if the metal had hit her a few inches upward, she would've been seriously injured, but all rationality seemed to fly out of her brain as she swooped in to save you. it's as if her steps were second nature, and it had her wondering why she was so adamant about saving you instead of protecting herself.
"i'm your guard princess," you laugh, grabbing the cloth from the edge of the table, "i'm the one that should be protecting, not you."
"but—" jungeun retorts, leaning closer to you so you can apply the bandage easier, "what if something had happened to you?"
"if something had happened to me, oh, this might hurt a little bit," you say pulling tightly on the cloth to secure it, "if something had happened to me, nobody would've bat an eye. i'm just a mere guard, your majesty. but if something had happened to you, the whole nation would have an uproar."
truthfully, jungeun is more hurt at your words than you securing the cloth.
"how could you say that?"
"say what?"
"say that nobody would care if you were hurt. because i would care."
jungeun watches you still, holding the bandage tightly as you turn your attention from it to jungeun. your face looks almost surprised, astonished even as you consider her words in depth.
"your highness would care? for me?"
"of course." she says without missing a beat, a declaration of finality.
as you finish wrapping the bandage, jungeun swears that she can see the faintest smile appear on your usually poised face. she doesn't know what it is about that smile, but somewhere deep within her heart, she knows she wants to see it again.
what she isn't expecting is a hug from you in return, and the gesture brings even more warmth to her heart as she watches you adjust your position so her shoulder doesn't succumb to pain any longer.
"i'm really glad that you weren't extremely hurt by the metal," jungeun hears you mumble into her hair, "because your majesty's one of the best people i've ever met. thank you, so so much for caring about me."
she smiles, reciprocating the hug even tighter as she hears your next few words.
"i'll cherish you with my life."

Pairing: Kim Lip x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 2.1k
A/N: Hey! So sorry this took so long but here it is. I hope it’s to your satisfaction.
Tip Jar
Tumblr media
“Come on Jungeun, please!” Jinsol’s plea carries throughout the dorm garnering the attention of their other roommates.
“If you ordered the food why do I have to go get it?” Jungeun whines back from the couch.
“Because you love me?” The older member smiled sheepishly at her own response.
Jungeun groans in annoyance but proceeds towards the door anyways to meet the poor delivery person waiting on the other side. When she opens the door she finds you double-checking the delivery address. The click of the door startles your attention towards her.
“Oh! Hi, order for Jeong Jinsol?” You look up from the receipt with a charming smile that has Jungeun a little surprised.
“Yes, that’s us. Sorry for keeping you waiting like that.” Jungeun accepts the bags of food from you, handing them to Jinsol who was lurking behind her even after refusing to answer the door herself.
“Here you go, thanks so much.” Jungeun nods at you one last time before you briefly thank her with a bow and set out down the apartment building stairs.
“She was nice,” Jinsol comments as she sets the bags on the kitchen counter.
“Who was nice?” Sooyoung comes into the kitchen immediately putting an arm around Jinsol.
“The delivery girl,” Jungeun speaks up while sifting through the bags to find her order, only for it to come up missing. She begins to grumble and groan before the doorbell rings. Sooyoung is the one to answer this time and proceeds to scare the crap out of everyone in earshot.
“What?!” The two girls come bounding into view to find you standing on the other side of the door being smothered into the body of your longtime childhood friend.
“Youngie, please! Can’t breathe.” You strain to wriggle out of her strong hold and finally, she lets you go.
“What are you doing here? How’d you figure out where I live?” Sooyoung is bouncing with excitement.
“ I didn’t weirdo. I just forgot to give you guys one of your bags. Here ya go.” You extend your hand to reveal the bag that had Jungeun’s missing order in it.
“Oh, thanks. Are you busy? Do you have time to catch up?” Your heart warms at the happiness you see all over your dear friend but you give her an apologetic smile.
“I actually have a few more deliveries but if your number is still the same we can plan something.” You pull your phone out and present her contact info to her.
Sooyoung shakes her head in disapproval and types in her newest personal number before she texts herself from your phone.
“Text me when you get off so we can plan something. Don’t forget either or I’ll haunt your dreams.” You can’t help the laugh that bubbles out of you at her antics.
“Yes ma’am!” You give her a mini salute before giving her a parting hug and waving at the blonde and brunette still standing in the background. With that, you turn on your heel and Sooyoung watches you descend the stairs until you disappear.
The eldest closes the door and turns around to face her girlfriend and best friend with a giddy smile on her face. Jinsol smiles back at her happiness and quirks an eyebrow while Jungeun just looks on confused.
“So that’s the Y/n you always mention from when you were a kid?” Jinsol inquires as her taller girlfriend walks into her waiting arms.
“Yes, I had no idea she came back to Korea! What are the odds that she works at the new shop around the corner?” She says practically bouncing off the walls.
“Should I be jealous or what?” Jinsol asks jokingly.
“Oh no trust me I’m not her type but if she’s seeing someone maybe she’ll be interested in going on a double date.”
The two continue talking while Jungeun gently slides the food bag out of her older friend’s grasp to take it into the kitchen. She pulls out her food and transfers about half of it onto a plate before calling to the rest of the dorm and her other three roommates make their appearance. Haseul, Jiwoo, and Kahei all enter the room excitedly.
“I texted the others to come over so they should be here soon.” Not even a full five seconds later the door opens to reveal Hyeju leading their other friends inside, making a B-line for the kitchen where Jungeun is poring over the orders and organizing them by person.
The twelve girls gathered in the living room, pushing the coffee table out of the way so they could all sit in a circle on the floor to eat their dinner together, as is tradition on Sunday nights before their classes resume the next day. This time though you are the topic of discussion. Sooyoung tells everyone of your brief reunion and answers excited questions about you as a person and her experiences with you as a kid.
Jungeun doesn’t ask but listens intently to the conversation. The more she hears the more interesting she finds you and when she pictures you in her mind, the image reminds her that she did indeed think you were cute.
When Sooyoung finally gets your text while they are wrapping up dinner, she screams about how you actually enrolled as a transfer to their college as an art major. Apparently, you truly hadn’t been back in town that long.
The following day Jungeun finds herself waiting for you outside Main Hall with Sooyoung, Jinsol, and Jiwoo who was adamant about meeting you after hearing Sooyoung talk you up. Even if she looked as if she’d rather be elsewhere Jungeun was curious. Honestly, she wanted to see you outside of your work get up for scientific purposes.
You spot your friend and her entourage as you approach the great doors of The Main Hall. Jungeun is the first to spot you and immediately takes you in. You’re in black jeans, and a simple sweater vest but you look great to her. The way you beam at them makes her heart race and even if it’s for the group she pretends it’s just for her.
“Hey Youngie, Youngie’s friends.” You stand at a small distance and wave once to the entirety of the group. Sooyoung leaps into your arms wrapping you in a strong hug. Then turns to the others with an arm around you.
“Guys this is my best friend Y/n! Y/n this is my girlfriend Jinsol, and our close friends Jiwoo, and Jungeun.”
When Sooyoung points to Jungeun and says her name she just looks on at you blankly with a small wave. You tilt your head at her with squinted eyes before you seem to recognize her.
“Oh hey, you answered the door last night when I came with the food. Nice to meet you all formally.” This time that bright smile of yours is actually for Jungeun. She tries to keep a straight face but winds up smiling right back. The brunette bows to you in return with not much else passing between you two.
You turn your attention away to greet the other two girls you’ve yet to really speak to and strike up a friendly conversation. By the time Jungeun has to head to class, it turns out that your schedules are almost exactly the same due to being in the same major. Putting it simply she doesn’t mind when you link arms with her to be led to your first class of the day.
She knows you’re trouble from the moment that you enter the class and she lets you go. It’s clear you don’t like to ask for help even when you need it. Jungeun watches you in amusement when you reach up on your toes to grab something on the supply wall and struggle until you huff and just decide you don’t need it. Jungeun waits a bit but sees you clearly did need it so she grabs it for you and places it at your workstation without a word.
When you see her put the thicker brushes in front of you, you turn to thank her but she doesn’t even look your way. Later in the day, she hears you talking about how badly you wanted something out of the vending machine but you left your wallet at home. Jungeun wanders off mid-conversation with your friends and brings back the exact snack you wanted like nothing ever happened. Yet she’s completely caught off guard when you lean over and kiss her on the cheek leaving her red in the face.
This continued over time to the point that Sooyoung could see everything clearly. For 3 months she’s watched Jungeun confuse the hell out of you. Every day after you pretended she didn’t exist all while doing little things for you but never acknowledging it. You went to Sooyoung days after reuniting and told her about your crush on Jungeun but Jungeun refused to admit her own crush to anyone. That is until today at a café off campus.
Jungeun sits across from both Sooyoung and Jinsol with a red face and ears to match. She invited the couple out to ask them something but they’d all been sitting together for half an hour and Jungeun has yet to actually say what she wanted to.
“Sooo, are we just going to stare at each other over danish and coffee or are you going to spill the beans?” Jinsol asks playfully leaning forward in her seat.
“Um, so I had something to tell you guys that may or may not have something to do with Y/n.” The couple smirks at her as she avoids eye contact from across the table.
“Go on.” Sooyoung grins, leaning her head against her hand.
“I um… I may or may not have a very small crush on her and I was kind of hoping you guys would help.” Her gaze never meets her friends who listened to her with wholesome smiles.
“Why us?” Jinsol asks.
“You’re just the healthiest relationship I know of and Sooyoung, you know her really well. I figure if anyone can tell me what my chances are then it would be you.”
“Look, I’ve got your back. Why don’t you just invite her here for coffee? I promise you she won’t say no.” Sooyoung’s smile is soft and encouraging. It really does give Jungeun hope.
She makes up her mind right then and there. Jungeun gets up after excusing herself to prepare herself to confess to you the next day. She gets up the next morning with a new kind of determination.
You’re walking up to the library first thing in the morning to get ahead of your studying when you feel a hand on your shoulder. The smile on your face was actually really calming to her and she gave you a big smile back.
“Hey, Y/n.” She lets you go and steps back to give you some space.
“Jungeun! What’s up?” You step back into her space and hold her hand as you smile at her like literal sunshine. Your heart warms up at the feel of Jungeun’s hands going clammy on your own.
“Would you um… do you want to grab coffee together at the café across the street? It’s okay if you don’t I just figured I’d ask.”
You watch her face progressively get redder the longer you take to respond. The look of surprise on her face when you kiss her cheek with a nod is worth all the money in the world as far as you’re concerned. At that moment Jungeun feels so high that she hardly notices you fortifying your hold on her hand and walking you both the other way.
“W-Where are we going?” Jungeun stutters to life.
“The café silly.” You don’t even glance at her as you say it like it’s the most obvious thing ever.
“Now?” Her shocked voice brings your beautiful laugh out.
“Yes, right now.”
On the way, you both run into Sooyoung and Je way. They go to greet you both but can’t get a word in as you put a quieting finger up and continue dragging a flustered Jungeun with you.
“No time. We’re on a date.” You say dismissively. Failing to see 3 pairs of bulging eyes staring at you.
“A date!?” The girls' screech as Jungeun finally tugs you to a stop.
“This is a date?” Jungeun searches your eyes for something.
“Was it not supposed to be? Cause if not this is incredibly embarrassing.”
“No no, this is most definitely a date.” She rushes it out like she’s afraid that you’ll change your mind and now Jungeun is the one dragging you along to the café.

Rest
Star: Kim Jungeun (Loona)
Idea: No
Tumblr media
You tried your best, laying down on your bed as you willed your eyes to close. You don’t know how long has passed but any amount of effort is wasted when you can't catch a wink of sleep. The amount of sheep you’ve counted, the breathing exercises you’ve tried, and the amount of times you’ve yawned was uncountable. But no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t fall asleep.
It was obvious that you were tired, the whole day you did nothing but work and run errands, your whole body was begging for rest. However, it receives none when you find that you can’t seem to sleep.
Frustratedly groaning, you sit up and walk outside your room, walking to the kitchen to fetch yourself a glass of water. You sighed before padding to your living room and slumped yourself on the couch, your eyes roaming the room till they stopped at the watch.
You shook your head when you noticed that it was too late for you to be up. At this rate, you were going to end up seeing Jungeun after she ends her schedule. Which, seems to be the case when the sound of keys jingle and the door opens, a blonde carefully entering the house before she stops when her eyes land on your figure.
“What are you doing up so late?” Jungeun asks carefully, padding towards you before she carefully takes the spot beside you. “I can’t sleep,” she heard the fatigue laced in your voice, but your demeanor contrasts your desires.
A sigh leaves her lips as she raises her hand to cup your jaw, making you close your eyes and lean into the source of her warmth, nuzzling your cheek against her palm. “I’ll take a shower, then we'll sleep, okay?” You nod your head in agreement, feeling a peck on your nose before Jungeun leaves to clean herself.
You follow her to your room, returning to your previous spot on the bed and try to once again, force yourself to sleep. You felt like breaking down, frustration evident in your features as you tried to figure out the reason for your struggles.
You weren’t given much time before Jungeun finishes, now cleaned and changed into comfier clothes as she joins you in bed. Her arms automatically wrap around you, pulling you into her embrace while she herself sinks into the comfort of the mattress.
She doesn’t immediately close her eyes and chooses to focus on you. Her hand once again rests on your jaw, carefully caressing the soft skin whilst you enjoy the warmth she shares with you. She watches you melt against her touch, leaning down and pressing a kiss against your lips. There were no words to describe this feeling, softness growing inside your heart until you felt your eyes slowly closing.
Jungeun watches with a smile, seeing as you continue to drift but your eyes continue to fight, it only takes one more kiss before you fully close your eyes. Your grip became slack, and your breathing evened out, making Jungeun smile as she pushed your head in the crook of her neck, nuzzling your hair and joining you into slumber.
Finally you could rest.

I still didn't forget the Lannister!Kim Lip idea, but I still haven't gotten myself to finish the draft, so here's the general idea for it.
It's not based on the series itself, so here there's no false Baratheon on the throne and all that, and the Lannisters are still in Casterly Rock being the overlords of the Westerlands. So, Jungeun is no heir to the titles of the family, she has two siblings on here who will could inherit the titles before she does, so she knows she's going to be married of, but she's very picky with who she will marry, as her parents taught her that Lannisters are superior.
But in the end it doesn't matter what she wants or thinks, as she's betrothed to the reader, and that marriage would be frowned upon by lords of the Westerlands and the Reach alike if it wasn't because it will benefit both parties. House Lannister needs a competent warrior leading (think of the reader being as good in war as Tywin Lannister and being as good in duel like it could be Arya Stark or Oberyn Martell), and the Tyrell want the power and money that only House Lannister could bring.
But needless to say, neither the reader or Kim Lip like the idea of being married, even less when it means for the reader to get to a war that doesn't belong to her family, to marry a girl that's nothing but arrogant, and despises anyone that's not a Lannister; and of course Kim Lip hates the idea of marrying a girl, and having to go out of Casterly Rock to live in Highgarden because she's no Tyrell, she's a Lannister even if she had to become a Tyrell for the sake of her family.

Unfinished (2)
Tumblr media
Originally, Glimpses Of Us and Heat Waves were supposed to unpack more of Lippie's thoughts and feelings. But thanks to the superior suggestion from @sanccharine to end Heat Waves abruptly with her sudden arrival I ended up cutting this completely. This actually going to be a part of Heat Waves to bring the reader up to speed.
But as a result it removed all of the tension, which would've been boring.
Word Count: 171
There’s a poisoned roll of her eyes, tainted by her own frustrations. It earns nothing but a chuckle from Jinsoul.
“Why the fuck aren’t they picking up?”
Her laughter only deepens, it was a rare sight to see her so unsettled, rattled even. She almost keels over splashing laden glasses.
“I’m guessing your date didn’t go well?” A smile still tugs at the edge of her lips as she drinks.
There’s an almost defeated sigh that leaves Jungeun’s lips. “Like I’ve told you, we’re just friends.”
Each syllable is punctuated, perfectly balanced to stab at Jinsoul with her glare.
“Right, sure, sure.” Still, the tugs of a smile don’t leave her lips, instead widening despite her friend’s attempts. “Because I get that heated when a friend ignores my calls and texts.”
A hint of worry lingers in her eyes, "I thought things were going alright?"
"Things were alright. We hung out like old times sakes."
"Did you say something?”
"I only asked if they'd promise to be my friend no matter what happens."

Nocturnal Games | Kim Lip
Tumblr media
Alternative Title: Forgotten Moments Between Two Liars. It's Complicated AU - It really is.
Warnings/Tags: misfit reader, Jungeun is student council president and popular, reader's best friend is into Jungeun, so it's complicated. Underage clubbing, drinking and smoking (though it would be legal where I'm from). Injuries and mentions of fights, implied driving under the influence, brief mentions of supernatural elements, everything is a mess and reader might not be a good friend.
Premise: What should've been a night out with your friends treads on to some interesting ground when miss student president needs a ride home.
Wordcount: 5.1K Genre: Fluff(?), Angst (?) it's a mixed bag.
Vibes/Songs: Les (Childish Gambino), Right Here (Chase Atlantic), After Dark (Mr. Kitty), What You Need (The Weeknd), Call Out My Name (The Weeknd) and Friends (Chase Atlantic)* *I prefer slowed + reverb for that song in particular.
Tumblr media
"Come on, I'll take you back to the dorm."
You hadn't planned to drive, hell you even offered to sober drive instead of Karina…
"You're not taking Karina instead?"
Everything is a mess– Swept in the hailing afterthought of a night out with your friends.
You lost Mingi, found him with Miyeon, a drunken smile plastered on his lips.
Tried hanging out with Seungcheol before he was all over Karina's sister.
That's without even thinking about Ryujin and Hyunji–Your fingers ghost over your brow pinching the bridge of your nose.
"Because I don't want Karina to find out about my bike and I know you can keep a secret."
It's the beleaguered sigh that slowly pulls its way from your lips with a creaking crawl that reminds you, despite it all, that you do trust her.
It's hard to miss the flare of her perfect white teeth as they paint her smirk— or the slight wince that twitches across her busted lip.
It's fresh, vibrant compared to the darkened flecks that orbit her eye and dust against her cheek.
Barely noticeable, hidden against waves of practised skill and brush to everyone except you.
It isn't her usual style, and you can't help but wonder why you know that.
Instinct.
Anger simmers in her eyes and her nostrils flare, "you don't want to check me over and make sure I'm really me like Mateo?"
You've had the distinct luxury (or misfortune?) of clashing blades with sword masters and other entities.
Yet, nothing quite matches the restrained fury or venom that licks at her voice like a barbed knife.
Your best friend's paranoia wasn't entirely unfounded, after all he'd gotten to know the imposter rather… intimately.
Still, now wasn't the time to linger on the past, not underneath the whining hum of fluorescent tube lights awash in a seedy medical clinic.
You throw your hands up, your eyes catching against familiar shoes, "I know it’s you since you still have my shoes."
She’d taken to them like a fish to water compared to her usual heels, that clacked against the ground with the echo of her mother— Who wears heels to a ghost investigation?—
There's an exaggerated flare to the roll of her eyes, a flicker of a tender, cool, cocky smile. “You’re not getting them back you know?"
It's nice to see the sizzle behind her eyes, the unsnuffable flame despite tonight's best efforts.
Sheis getting awfully comfortable though, a familiarity that you can't quite understand, but maybe, just maybe it's because it's been a long night.
Still, you hadn't expected to run into her tonight. Thursday and Friday had been tough days for her - auditioning on next to no sleep and nearly turning into a monster during the attack at the school.
… Man, it's only been a week since you've started this gig.
Your eyes roll like flecks of sand between your fingers, a tired sigh trembles across your lips.
“I know.”
Tumblr media
She's eager, that's the only thing you can note as she pounds back drink after drink like the thumping bass line that hangs thick in Zorro's.
Making up for lost time like Karina before her.
You shouldn’t point out how similar they can be, the flash of Crash's eyes kills the idea before it can even leave your tongue.
They mix like oil and water.
It's weird the way you can pick out the notes of alcohol on her breath– even from this distance. The fruity tang of a Wumpa Shake to the smooth glide of a Super Slide.
Again, she's getting way too comfortable knowing that you're the one who has to drive her back to the dorm.
Is this how Karina feels whenever you call her at some god forsaken hour?
… You should be nicer to her.
Though part of you loathes the idea of being alone with her especially in your current state.
Caesar would give you no mercy if something were to transpire between you and his girlfriend.
"You know I could talk to her about it," there's a softness to her otherwise beady eyes, as liquor flows through her lips. There's a dainty elegance to the way her lips purse, her fingers dance across her straw eliciting a soft mixing stir of her drink.
All it was missing was a small umbrella really, though as you notice the collecting pile on the bar… Crash probably gave up on the decorative element.
Still, part of you winces at the way she's able to peek past the curtain of your mind for but the briefest moments.
It was probably best she didn't look too deep.
"Huh?" is all you can manage, a whispered echo despite your best intentions.
She clings tight to your words, able to parse them with a gentle ease even in the eves of overstimulating neon lights and alcohol-induced haze.
Maybe that was just you?
She smiles, the kind that feels reserved just for you, the real you. It's odd to feel vulnerable underneath layers of lies, jokes, countless personas and more lies.
An innumerable legion at this point– It's the only way to keep up with your father.
"She's into you B" That's the real sticking point isn't it? The way your middle initial peels off tongue, the way it scintillates with a knowing edge.
A reminder that she knows you more than you remember.
But you know her too, somehow.
The flicker flames of a smirk is but smoke and mirrors against the solemn glint in her eyes.
"We should get you home, Yeji's probably worried about you."
Tumblr media
It doesn't quite click right… At least not straight away, though you could, should blame the poison in your own veins for that one.
Her hazel warmth nestled against your back, her arms wrapped around your waist with an almost desperate tightness.
Though you're probably making that last part up, too much media does rot the brain after all. Still the student council president being into the weird kid is an interesting bit of brain rot.
Yet as you peer down at the familiar leather jacket keeping her warm, it's easy to admit that the delinquent, president trope is a lot better.
If only your best friend was smoother.
Yet it's that very poison that slushes through your skin, dampening the cold edge of the night air that bites against your skin.
You're drunk driving.
Your bike obeys you as you pull over, there’s a steadiness unlike the darkened edges of your vision, as your brain basically stumbles against itself as you park.
Kickstand, that's your first thought held underneath the amber glow of a street light, the only other witness to the crime that is the two of you.
Your feet grit against loose specks of gravel and asphalt.
"What's wrong with you?"
So many, many things. Your fingers fight through your own unfamiliar jacket snatching at an equally unfamiliar vice.
Cigarettes.
It'd be weird to cross that line in front of her– Part of you wants to assume she's a goody two-shoes like her title implies but you know better unlike Mateo.
It's not his fault, he's the new kid.
Even if you didn't, liquor still clings to her breath as she peers up at you with a clocked eyebrow.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Somehow… impossibly so, your voice is softer than you expect, the expletive a mere garnish on top of the sentence.
"What do you mean?" Her head tilts to the side, her eyes soft and glassy against the amber hue of the street light and the soft glow of the moon that barely peeks through it all.
Your finger bounces against your brow as your cigarette rests against your lips. "I'm drunk, Jungeun… Like really drunk-"
And you're worried. Worried for her of all people, worried what her mother would think, it clings and trembles against your breath and down your fingers.
Maybe that was the first crack in your porcelain mask, a persona you don't even remember adopting.
You pull at your lighter and ignite, maybe the smoke can fill the gaps in it all?
It's a disgruntled huff that leaves your lips first, quickly replaced with an intake of cigarette smoke and nicotine, it buzzes and dances against the alcohol in your veins, bouncing with a vibrant easing joy.
A slow release as smoke drifts and sails through the air, you can see why Mateo enjoys it.
Her hands are soft against yours, looping two fingers around your pinky.
"I trust you."
There's something unspoken in the slow drift in her voice, something you can't quite pluck out. It's firm and resolute, familiar like the crest of sunshine against your skin, yet foreign like memories from another life.
It's warm, the fluttering feeling in your chest. She doesn't know better, doesn't know the things you know.
Pure blind faith in you.
After all, how could she know about your bike being some freak science project from one of the sci fi movies your mother loves so much?
There's that glint in her eye, the kind that cuts through the softness with an analytical edge.
"Your driving does seem a bit mechanical though."
Another flared smirk, cocky and daring, pleased with another peak behind the curtains.
You scoff, painting the crisp night air with plumes of smoke.
The moment is gone, if it was ever there.
Forget anything that lingers in your chest, any nestled embers that threaten to ignite against even just a spark, just the idea she has a soft spot for you.
Why would she hangout with you of all people anyway?
You shelter yourself with a cocky smirk, the weapon of choice for your persona of the night, a facsimile of when you used to be popular with some inspiration from how Mateo can seem.
At least on first glance.
"How are you and Mateo?"
There's a flicker in her eye, that's a loaded question and part of you can't help but feel a ripple of joy. Still, you of all people can pick apart the evidence, the slight click of her tongue, the briefest tug of a frown at the corner of her lips.
Yet, you still lie, like you don't know the twisting corridors of her brain intimately.
"I figured he was doing well since you guys looked like you had a decent conversation at Zorro's…” You gesture at the jacket with your stick of cancer. “Hell, you're even wearing his jacket."
It's odd though, the instinctual way you can peel back her persona and all her would be lies.
Even if you don't have proof.
Though, that's what lends credence to the word instinct after all.
There's a roll of her eyes and a pointed swivel.
You fight back the chuckle that buckles against your lips as she almost shrinks into his leather jacket.
"He's… got a lot to make up for."
It's hard to keep up with all the whispering ghosts, the strained emotions that dance through her eyes under the amber flicker of the street light.
But there's one that sticks out the most, as it dances to and fro.
Hurt, it glimmers as moonlight pierces through amber hues. A lake forgotten with time.
"There's only so long before he gives up… Like everyone else." There's a deep breath, it racks against stressed pain like the sharp edge of a knife. "Plus, I told him I have feelings for someone else."
There's a look of recognition as she looks up at you, nestled in layered warmth. It's another crack in your veneer as you fight so desperately to hold the mask tight.
It's a weird dance, to hold a mask as a shield, as your instincts bleed against your mind.
You have no proof, but you know who.
"Surely, he's still willing to put in the effort… Even if the cards are stacked against him."
Still the mask crumbles slowly against the ebb and flow of empathy. He wouldn't be the first to give up at the first sign of difficulty after all, that much even you remember.
Despite everything between the two of you… She deserves the effort.
But he wouldn't, you're sure of it. After all, he still fights tooth and nail against Caesar whenever he's in a mood.
Only the soft after midnight breeze crests the silence between the two of you, liquor clings tights against you with a warm embrace, a magnanimous shield.
It's easy to catch the question on the edge of her lips, still it's hard to tell if it's a sharpened blade or a humble gift.
It's the soft click of her tongue that pulls it back, it's a flared brow that spurs it forward like a rampant beast.
"Figured out who made you chocolate for Valentine's day?"
It's an afterthought compared to your newfound responsibility.
"Nope."
Not definitively at least, more just gut feelings and wishful thinking.
"Not even just a little bit curious?"
It's hard to pick apart her expression as it's dyed under amber hues, a raised eyebrow and a glint of curiosity. Her lips tighten ever so slightly, rolling to one side in a roiling wave.
"Miss Esperanza gave me a list of suspects," there's a flash of intrigue, drawn to the pulse of your gossip.
It's hard to ignore the way you feel the air practically sizzle when she strays close to you, hanging on to your silence, hungry and eager.
If there was one thing that kept Angelview High going it was gossip. Still you couldn't deny the feeling of joy that plucked at the edge of your brain, to coax her with gossip… just to snip it away.
"...But I haven't had the time to look into it, not with the attack that happened yesterday."
There's a flare of annoyance, as her eyebrow twitches, calculating if you were even worth hanging out with before her mind trails off, lost in thought.
There's an odd vacancy in her eyes, like trying to peer through a fog during a stormy night.
"... Yesterday?" Her eyebrows tighten, her voice nothing but a troubled, shivering whisper.
It's cold you realise, you're not drunk enough to ignore that even in the whispering dark as instinct takes hold. It makes it all the much harder to ignore the warmth you feel cresting up your hand and into your chest as you hold her hand in yours.
You take another drag of your cigarette, placing a trinket in her palm; small, in the shape of a bat. It's edgy, vampiric even, a complete tonal clash against the student council, drama club queen you'd grown to know or remember in your case.
But it is hers nonetheless, it's soft, the way the fog dissipates from her eyes, replaced with a soft tender bloom.
Her shoulders loosen, melting away waves of tight tension as she releases a soft sigh.
She's… different in that moment, your mind clings to the word iridescent as if that could truly describe even a semblance of it all.
But it doesn't, it can't after all.
How can one word even articulate the way her smile drifts between the soft moonlight glow and the warmth of nestled amber streetlight.
Her eyes shift from the trinket to you, it's a soft invisible pull as laughter trickles from her lips.
It's weird, but in a good way. The kind of way that makes you smile unconsciously in her presence and part of you wants to hate it.
But it feels natural.
Instinctual.
Real.
Her laughter fades, slumbering into a soft smile - wistful and melancholic as her eyes linger once again on the trinket.
"Man, this is either gonna be really sad or really funny." Her grip tightens against it as if it would turn to sand if she didn't.
It's easy to get lost in her eyes as she returns her gaze to you, gone is the frenetic tension, enveloped in a patient warmth.
A bonfire on a cold night.
"What do you mean?" It's a stupid question, you can feel that. It's a familiar pluck at the back of your brain, still the words leave all the same.
She smiles softly, a tender hug to hold the moment, her eyes linger even as her head tilts to the side.
You don't know why, but it reminds you of sunflowers and yesteryears, crested with the dew of forgotten, child-like promises.
"You know the rules of the game, I…" Her eyebrows knit together. "She won't remember what we talk about, not when you take the trinket back."
And you have to, those are the rules.
There's an unexplainable smoothness to the way she shuffles next to you using your bike as a makeshift bench.
You hate the way you trace every movement, every moment as her eyes drift up towards the moon.
A joke comes to mind, Karina said it best.
"Is this where you tell me, the moon is beautiful isn't it?"
It's warm in those moments, the way she turns back to you a smile, so deep and sincere you can see it in her eyes.
Still it does nothing against the turmoil in your chest, the warmth of the sun suffocating against thick storm clouds.
It's wrong, you remind yourself.
It's wrong to share these intimate quiet moments, to feel the bloom of something more in your chest.
To feel so effortlessly yourself…
To feel safe.
After all, Mateo has expressed his interest in her and you could see it, you really could.
You stoked the flames in his chest, pushed him towards her… Because you believed in him.
Even in spite of those brief moments at the observatory–You gave him the right nudges here and there, your best attempts to keep him on the best track.
Your grip tightens against your cigarette, against the worn leather seat of your bike.
The delinquent and the student council president is a better story. You could imagine the drift of cigarette smoke past his lips slowly twisting through hers.
"Why?" It cuts like a knife through it all, you fight against the bile that threatens your throat.
You take a drag, feign ignorance against the thoughts that cloud your mind, cock an eyebrow.
"Why, what?"
There's a softened, slightly folded frown pressed into the corner of her lips.
"Why would he think it's actually me?"
It's a hard fight, fought tooth and nail, to not join up in arms, to denounce him as another stupid hopefu-
"I think…" Your lips purse, tightening against the little knot of anxiety caught in your throat, finger bouncing against your brow as plumes of smoke drift slowly through the cold crisp air.
"It's not about thinking she was you, but wanting her to be."
You hate the way she gazes at you, takes in every word with those soft moonlit eyes. The way it tightens that knot in your throat with every passing glance.
Still, she scoffs, rolls her eyes at the idea.
"So you're saying you don't like the idea of the bad boy and the goody two shoes?"
It's that glimmer in her eyes that tells you it's all for show, an exaggerated performance just for you, as her arms cross and her eyes roll, a huff at the edge of her lips.
"What makes it so good huh?" Her voice whines like the crinkling of foil, still it plucks the right notes to write the beginnings of a smile on your face.
Try as you might to hide it with another drag of a cigarette. You nearly choke on fumes embattled on the edge of laughter.
"Well," it's hard to articulate against the bubbling bloom in your veins held under her gaze.
Corruption isn't the word you want to use, but it's close enough, the right fuel to ignite a fire.
"It's about rubbing off on each other, really." You offer a scuffed smirk, scraped by the huff of a thought against plumes of smoke. "It's the peak of opposites attract isn't it?"
You hold the cigarette aloft between two fingers, smoke drifts and flows through the night air, hot orange burns against the ashy tip.
A torch by any other name.
"I guess the cigarette signifies the point of no return."
Her head lists to the side peering past the cigarette, it's hard to fight the focus she pulls from you; her soft eyes, entrancing and safe.
Maybe that's what scares you, more than the unknown, more than being wrong.
It's being right.
Again, it's just instinctual.
She holds her hand out, a smile playing against her teeth.
"Pass it here."
It's odd, really it is. The confident ease in which her grip ghosts over your own, the way she plucks the vice away against her own lips.
It's hard to ignore the way your jaw slackens ever so slightly, surprised at her sheer audacity, too used to a dance of lies and shielded personas.
It's irresistible and you hate it—for arguably the millionth time—the way she smiles so genuinely that it reaches her eyes. It's oddly endearing the way she shifts under your gaze, akin to trying different poses in a photo booth.
It's natural the way a smile creeps slowly on to your lips.
There's a cheeky, calculated glint in her eye.
She flashes a smile, taking a slow drag of the cigarette. Plumes of smoke drift past her lips before buffeting you in the face with a focused assault… Or at least it would've been.
She's nothing but sputtering coughs as smoke parts her lips in choked spurts. Her face contorts and twists ever so slightly.
It takes everything in you not to laugh. You're thankful for the diversion, a shield against the lingering glow in your chest or even worse the sinking disgust.
You really shouldn't be entertaining this moment, not with the object of his affection. It takes everything to reel it back, to take back the line cast on it's own whims.
Still it's hard to ignore the devilish spark in your own chest, the one that revels in all the illicit secrecy.
To feel special.
Your palm caresses her back, rubbing against his leather jacket, coaxing out equals waves of sputtering coughs and gut wrenching guilt.
She turns back to you, face scrunched in the disgust you can only feel for yourself, the torch of betrayal lingers in her hands offered back to you.
"That shit is so fucking gross," her beautiful eyes still catch the edges of a disgusted wince.
It shatters guilt like glass, she can't be into you.
Not after that.
Your mask slowly crawls back together, cocky smirk and all.
"It's an acquired taste."
It really isn't; anything to burn the stress and guilt away from your brain. You cock an eyebrow, tilt your head to the side as you take another drag.
You feel the ghost of her lips, the tang of intoxication mixed with sunflowers and the sweetness of… Ring Pops?
Childlike promises.
Plumes of smoke, hover and whisper through the air; a moment to spare.
"You know she's gonna question why she smells like smoke."
There's a glint of teeth, enamoured and fun. Carefree and expeditious, it is certainly welcome compared to her usual tense and stressed nature.
But you're the one who has to pick the pieces.
She tugs at the collar of her jacket, his jacket—blood seeps from your chest at another twist of the knife—she sniffs at it but you already have the answer.
"Right, right."
You can't help the slight frown that presses into your lips, your eyes trace the moon and the stars.
Anything besides the ethereal sight next to you or the bloody twisted crime scene in your chest.
Her thumb runs over the top of your hand, pressed against the seat of your bike.
"Come on, I gotta have some fun in her stead," she smiles that soft gentle smile, the one that articulates the swell of lips with a preening touch.
You relish in her soft touch, you do… Part of you thinks you always have, no matter how foreign and distant the concept.
Equal measures warmth and disgust.
You roll your eyes, play up your role.
"Alright then," another drag, the final one before it's discarded, forgotten into the night. "Make things interesting."
It's that subtle almost knowing click, the kind that registers on an instinctual level.
She smiles with a knowing caress against your hand.
It stings when she pulls away, finger bouncing against her bottom lip as she paces, eyes adrift in thoughts against the moon.
There's a subtle dance to it all.
"What if I told you, you survive in a zombie apocalypse?" Mirth dances in her eyes, as you can't help but latch on to the thought.
Because duh, of you would.
So of course you don't notice the small cursive joy that bounces on her lips when you smile, when pride echoes into your posture.
Nor do you notice the flecks of sadness.
You're too caught in it all, you don't even notice how bone cold your hands are in the fleeting echoes of laughter.
"I'm sure you don't want to spend these moments talking about work of all things."
It's the swell of her cheeks caught at the mercy of her smile that tells you, convinces you of sickly delusions.
She enjoys it, the way you see through her.
She's confident in spite of it, that's what you li—don't entertain the thought, the knife is in your hand after all.
"She's gonna hate this." There's a pause, echoed only by the stir of cars through distant empty streets.
It's a devious hook with only the most intoxicating of bait.
You fall, hook, line and sinker as you push off your bike, caught in her orbit under amber hues.
There's no cigarette smoke to keep you safe, to obfuscate it all.
"She's gonna deny it, she'll lie until she dies but…" She smiles, pure and wholesomely real. The truth, a secret for just the two of you caught in this moment.
After the dust settles.
A secret just for you.
"She's the one who made the chocolates."
The knife in your chest twists and snaps at the behest of your own lies and propaganda,This is all for her, all for some sick joke that she won't even remember come dawn. To give her what she so desperately wants and craves.
Her lips quiver, caught idle in your silence as her words struggle to form.
"Like I said, it'll either be really sad or really funny."
There's crisp sobering solemness to her words, even as you taste the alcohol on her breath.
Still you can pluck out the embers in her eyes, through the gloss of shimmering glass. The nestled warmth of something else.
She smirks, it's barely passable in the waves of turbulent emotion that washes through the air.
A memory comes to mind, firm and sturdy. It's weird to be so close to her, to have her soft gaze focused on you.
It's unlike the moment at the observatory; an earthquake and broken heels cast in dim tunnel lights.
You thought nothing of the subsequent fall or her trapped bated breath underneath you.
It sparks at your brain, threatening to ignite it all. The way her hair fell in lusciously decadent waves against the floor, bathed in ivory light. You still remember those precious moments held locked against her gaze, the flare of surprise that burned across her eyes.
You remember the way her face twisted away from you, spurred by your comment.
After all, who wears heels to an investigation?
Only now do you realise it, the nervous cherry dusting across her cheek in those painted fleeting moments, only now can you trace the beauty—
Don't think about it.
“You know she’s gonna push you towards Karina.”
But it's hard not to, not when you can pick out each individual eyelash that flutters with every blink or the way her breath hitches ever so slightly when you pull away.
For your own sanity… But it's already too late for you, the devilish whispers in your brain echo to and fro with an egotistic cockiness that's intoxicating.
You nearly fish out another cigarette under the stress of it all, but you know the role you have to play… for her sake.
"Is that what you want?"
There's a soft glower to her caught against frayed streetlights. She cocks an eyebrow in spite of it all, "Me?"
Her voice saunters softly through the air, your last chance. To be a good friend, to continue to be a good friend.
No amount of twisted reasoning or lies would amount to anything less than betrayal of the most sickening kind.
Betrayal of the heart.
"Be honest and you might get a prize."
It's hard to ignore the way the power gets to your head, the illicit betrayal, the taboo of it all as you stray close to her. Your fingers play against the pockets of Mateo's jacket.
It's made all the more intoxicating in the bristling cold, the way she shrinks underneath the weight of it all even with all of her confidence she is still just a girl in love.
She feigns it all the same.
"It would be funny."
Still she isn't strong enough, eyes shifting away from yours under suffocating silence.
"Look me in the eye."
A deep breath, a quiver of her lips and a snap of focus. There’s something inherently soft and vulnerable held in the cloisters of her eyes, a shimmering crystalline prison.
"I…" the undeniable shake to her voice makes your heart sink past the bile that builds in your throat.
Your hands pluck at hers, pulling them from their nestled warm burrows, guiding them towards the skin just above the hem of your shirt.
It's instinctual, a gut reaction to her hesitance.
Her touch is warm, yearningly hungry, yearningly desperate. It's a blessing against the cold grip of the night, you almost lean in unconsciously.
Despite the way her breath paints the air with an alcoholic brush, despite the way nicotine buzzes through the caverns in your mind. There's nothing inherently Sensual about the way her grip tightens ever so slightly, the way she bites her lips caught in the throes of the thought.
It's a quiet, reassuring comfort.
There's a resolute strength as she looks up at you, her voice still an uneven shaky quiver.
"You have my heart, always have," she laughs, the brief short kind, where it's almost just an exhale almost like recollecting a forgotten joke. "Ever since we were kids and…"
Her hands twist and scrunch against the cloth of your shirt, peering defiantly up at you, the smallest smile etched into her lips.
"You always will."
You can't help but smile despite the pit in your stomach.
"It's too bad you hate the taste of cigarette smoke."
Her smile blooms deeper, fervently so, plucking at the fragments of confidence forgotten at the wayside.
"I don't think I'll mind this time."

Loona Kim Lip x female reader
story of a girl who really really likes Kim Lip
author’s note: Hello! This might be an impulsive post from me but this work has been sitting on my drafts for a year now. I hope you guys like it. Sorry for the errors
warnings: mentions of panic and cursing.
Tumblr media
You are playing an online computer game with Hyeju when Gowon and their other friends came to their house.
"Hyeju, I'm gonna smoke the mid window and going towards the connector." You said to her via discord. "Aight! Someone is in b short. Take care, I don't have any smokes left." She answered back.
You heard shootings on the Mid part of the map, "Unnie, I died." Hyeju bluntly said. You shake your head because you and your other teammate are the only players alive on your team.
"Can you tell me where's the last enemy?..Hyeju?" You said staying focused on the game while waiting for the younger girl to answer. "Well, idk, I forgot. You can do it." She cheered you fast before she muted her mic.
You mentally facepalmed and a deep sigh escaped from your mouth.
You hide behind the boxes while waiting for the enemy to plant the bomb. Your teammate told you that the enemy is going in his direction, so you get out to your position to help him and kill the opponent.
You won the game. The monitor flashes the game's loadout. "Hey, Hyeju! Are you up for another game?" You asked her not even sure if she's still on the server.
"Well... I think tomorrow's the next game! Hyunjin unnie has something to tell you, wait..let me call her. Hyunjin unniee!!!"
The ability of this girl to shout amaze you every time. "Yah! Y/n, do you have something to do today??" A furry asked you using her sister's mic.
"Not really. Why?" You answer as you exit the game. "Come here. Let's watch some movies and eat pizza."
She said trying to suppress her chuckle. Your left eyebrow lifts, sensing that she has a plan "Stop holding your chuckles, Hyunjin. What are you planning?".
The girl finally let out her chuckle, "It's nothing, Hyeju just said something.". "If Hyeju said something that made you chuckle then it's not nothing, lmao" you reasoned out.
"Shut tf up, just come here you little." She said. "Excuse me, I'm taller than you." You said and immediately disconnected to the discord server's channel and shut down your computer. You checked your watch and saw it's already quarter to 6 in the evening.
You simply wear a brown knitted sweater, white pants and a pair of converse. You hop onto your motorbike and drove to their house. You often go there to watch movies or sometimes to play with their dogs and cats.
You became close to them since you went to the same soccer academy where Hyunjin is also enrolled and met her there. Since then, you two are on the same soccer team from high school to college. And your parents and her's became close friends.
Even you are friends with her and her sisters, they still have their own group of friends and you have yours, hence, you know and are close to some of them because they were your classmates before, while the others were your club mates.
When they go to Hyunjin's house, they often invited you but you always decline. Because there's a certain blonde that makes you red as a tomato, even she's just sitting there, breathing.
Hyunjin is aware of that and teases you whenever she can.
You parked your motorbike outside their house and press their doorbell while you're removing your helmet. You fix your hair, looking at their tall grey gate waiting for someone to open it.
You're about to message Hyunjin but the gate suddenly opened. Flashing your sweetest smile to the girl who's brighter than the sun "Oh Y/n Unnie is here!" Yerim shouted and got Hyunjin's attention through the opened main door. The jolly girl welcomed you and went inside.
You entered the gate and midway towards the door, you recognized the cars in their parking area. You turned your heel, half running to the gate but Hyunjin is faster and grabbed you from behind.
"Wtf! Put me down you fcking furry!" You shout but trying not to be that loud and mentally asking Yerim for some help. Punching her arms with your right fist because the other hand has your helmet, but her grip on you is so firm and super tight that you almost can't breathe, she slowly drags you.
She's hardly laughing because her plan work. She already knows that you will turn down her invitation if you know her friends, especially Jungeun is also in their house, so she planned this all.
Heejin, who's looking for Hyunjin, went outside to see her girlfriend who's laughing her ass out while holding you tightly. She called the two of you. You almost thanked god because he spare you some help but you were wrong.
"Heejin, help me. This furry won't let go of me. I can't even breathe." You felt Hyunjin loosen up the grip a little bit and you see this as a chance but then she grasps you again, this time more firmly. She brings you and walks towards the door. "Ouch!" you mumbled.
"Yah! Hyunjin! Stop dragging. You're hurting her, bring her down." The bunny scolded her partner who listened to her but still chuckled. "Can you stop laughing for a second? I'm dying here, mentally and physically." You whispered.
Thinking that you'll be in the same house with Jungeun will be the death of you. You tried to escape once again while pretending to fix your sweater and hair but Hyunjin is smiling and already blocked the gate using her body. Heejin laughed at her girlfriend's antics. She also knew about your crush on Jungeun and already set her mind to join Hyunjin in teasing you.
You look up to the sky, sighing in defeat. "Go inside, Y/N. If you try to escape again, I will call Hyeju to throw you on Jungeun Unnie."
Your friend smiles sheepishly. You shook your head and throw your helmet to her, who catches it in time. "Open the gates. I'll park my motor here. My baby is in danger if I let it outside your house." You said accepting the defeat.
"But your baby is inside, sitting on our couch." She teased you and her girlfriend clapping while silently laughing. You shook your head for the second time, thinking how crazy these two were. You raise your middle finger to Hyunjin, who's obviously laughing again being proud of herself.
She opened the gates and you drive your motor inside and parked it.
play it cool. Don't make something embarrassing.
cheering yourself silently.
Heejin opens the door and Hyunjin is the first one to enter the house. "Y/n is here, everyone!" She excitedly announced.
You always remind yourself to keep calm and don't panic, as if a disaster is happening.
You greeted Yerim, who's alone in the living room, "Hello again".
The couple you are with earlier, are now sitting on the couch creating their own world. Yerim patted the space next to her while holding some snacks, gesturing you to sit beside her. Noticing the others are missing in the living room, you're about to ask Yerim when a little frog hops onto you, "Unnie!".
You rub her back chuckling while she's hugging and sitting on your lap "Yeojinnie!". "It's been a long time, unnie" she said enthusiastically."Yeojin, I saw you last Wednesday at our practice." you shake your head to the kid. "Well, 3 days is a long time for me." her nose scrunched up and you can't help but pinch her cheeks.
"How's college for you little frog?". You asked her and she answered with a deep sigh, "Next question please."
Yeojin is in her 1st year of college so she's still adjusting herself. "Where's Hyeju and the others btw?".
"Hyeju and Chaewon unnie are getting their Nintendo switch upstairs. They said they want to play Mario Kart with other unnies. And as for them, Haseul unnie, Vivi unnie, Kim lip unnie and Sooyoung unnie are in the kitchen. The two other unnies, Jinsoul unnie, and Chuu unnie haven't arrived yet." Nodding to her appreciating her effort to answer your questions.
After a few minutes, Hyeju and Chaewon are seen walking down the stairs holding their Nintendo switch and you failed to notice the smirk on the baby wolf's face.
You and Yerim sat down on the carpeted floor to position yourselves in front of the tv. Chaewon greeted you and handed you a single joy-con.
Hyeju sat right beside you and Chaewon sat next to her while the little bean, Yeojin, sat in the middle.
You are picking a character when the unnies came back from the kitchen bringing 2 pitchers of juice and glasses. "Oh, Y/n!" Haseul greeted
After some time you're getting comfortable. Knowing that Kim lip is just almost next to you. At times, you caught her staring at you, well, she also caught you too.
Wishing your face wasn't blushing at those times but you always hear Hyunjin's or Hyeju's if not a chuckle they scoffed. Well, since you get comfortable, you sometimes throw a joke or you and Hyeju are bickering that made them laugh. Especially Sooyoung, she really enjoyed the bickering show, and of course, she's in favor of you.
The unnies decided to eat dinner first before proceeding for a movie marathon. So the rest of you decided to get take-out. The maknaes requested some pizza and chicken.
Most of you finished eating so Kim lip and Jinsoul cleans the mess at the center table. Hyunjin went to the kitchen to bring some dirty glasses.
"Y/n is so funny. Let's keep her." Jiwoo said while holding her tummy, didn't know if her tummy is aching because she was full or because of laughing. "Thank you, but my parents will be sad, unnie." They laughed, even Jinsoul and Kim lip.
A small smile flashed to your lips when you hear Kim Lip's laugh.
Actually, you are thinking if they're getting crazy because they find almost everything you said hilariously.
"Ahhh I think they're more likely to be happy," Hyeju smirked. You hummed, "Hmm, maybe, then I'll be the one who is sad..." and excused yourself "..Excuse me, I'm going to wash my hand." standing up to go to the kitchen.
You checked your wristwatch to check the time. Seeing the short arm striking at 9 pm, you washed your hands on the sink and faced Hyunjin. "Hyun, I'm going home. It's already 9 pm, late for me to go home by my motorbike.".
The busy furry looked up to you with a confused look, "What? you are not joining the sleepover?"
"Well? you didn't inform me so I'm going home now." You said while rinsing your hands.
"I can call, Auntie, to tell you're going to sleep here..." Hyunjin is determined to let you sleep here "..and also I'll lend you some of my pajamas." You simply shrug at her as she went in front of the sink and called your mom.
"Are you going home, Y/n?" You were taken aback when the person you so much adore asked you. You took a glanced at her for a second only to find out she was also looking at you.
You felt your heartbeat skip for a minute.
Turning your gaze to Hyunjin who's smiling brightly while her phone is on her ears "B-by the look on Hyun's face I don't think I'll go home." You answered and secretly clear your throat.
You think that the kitchen felt a little hotter.
Hyunjin came back joining you three and said "She agreed, Y/n, as always." And winked.
All of you decided to watch and sleep in Yerim's room since it has a tv and was big enough for all to fit in.
You and Hyeju brought the two extra mattresses from the other room so you and others have a place to sleep in. Both placed it on the side of the Yerim's bed.
You place yourself on the farthest right of the last mattress. You chose this part because you like sleeping near the wall but Yeojin insisted and said "I love sleeping next to the wall, Unnie." which you gladly gave to her.
The two of you are busy chitchatting when the person to your left taps your shoulder, "The movie is starting." She informed both of you.
Hoping she could not see you blushed under the darkness of the room. You smiled at her and nodded. She copy you and turned her gaze on the movie, still smiling.
Neither of you, notice the blushes that crept into each other's faces. But Gowon did notice this, and immediately said it to Hyeju, who's busy eating some Cheetos.
"I swear if the two of them did not get together after this sleepover..they're hopeless." The younger girl stated that made her girlfriend laugh.
It is hard not to smell the perfume that Jungeun was wearing. This is the closest you two are next to each other. You became more comfortable in her presence but your heart still beats rapidly fast.
The same goes for Jungeun, she might look well and calm but her inner self is in a state of gay panic. From the beginning when Hyunjin announced your arrival she started panicking in her mind.
She's liking you for almost a year now. While they are watching the practice game of your school soccer team, they were stupidly fighting over who suits the jersey well. That's when you caught her attention. Ever since then she never missed your practices unless she has something to do important.
In the middle of watching the movie, you felt a weight on your right arm. Turning your attention to Yeojin who's already sleeping and hugging your shared blanket, you change her position to more comfortable and tucked her under it.
Jungeun noticed your actions and offers to share you with her cover. You are hesitant about it, but too late because she already put it on half of your body.
"Thanks." It came out almost a whisper, but the blonde heard it. She shyly nodded and continues to fix the blanket.
Both of your hands brushed for a moment which made her gasp "Omg, are you okay? Your hands are super cold." She said worriedly and grabbed both of your hands.
I mean the nervousness of being close to the girl you like for a very long time, and she will sleep next to you plus the cold emitted by the aircon fills the room, your hand will totally become cold.
You slightly stiffen after her gestures and she seems to notice it. She immediately took her hands, "S-sorry." She said softly and regretted her sudden action.
Instantly felt the lack of warmth on your hands so you bravely took hers this time and whispered, "It's okay. This feels nice and warm." You smiled at her trying to cover your nervousness with your smile.
She seems to like it too because she nodded and hold yours tightly.
The next day
Vivi, Haseul and you were the first ones to wake up, so the three of you decided to prepare breakfast for the rest.
It is just a simple breakfast that most of the time Vivi and Haseul did the cooking while you are preparing the dining table, and putting plates and utensils.
After preparing it, you went to the living room and played with Hyunjin's cat on the couch. Haseul and Vivi were busy being a sweet couple in the kitchen.
Sitting on the couch, you notice your crush going down the stairs while rubbing her eyes. She looked and smiled at you as she felt someone staring at her. You smiled and greeted her "Good morning." softly.
She nodded and greeted you with a "Good morning." too.
"How was your sleep?" she asked, petting the cat. "It was warm, you are very warm, Unnie." you cheekily replied. She chuckled and a blush formed on her cheeks, "Well,  you are too".
Hyunjin's cat moves and rests on your lap. You can hear and feel her purring. "The cat must be fond of you." Kim lip whispered to you.
"Yes, she likes me more than her owner." You laughed at your own statement.
"Well, Hyunjin and You have a lot of similarities."
"You can say that but I wouldn't say 'aeong' as a confession to the person I like." you looked at her.
She giggled "What would you say then?" she looked up to meet your gaze.
Looking at her makes your heart softly swell in a good way. Contemplating whether to say it or not.
Is this the right time to say it? asking yourself
You stopped petting the cat and stares at Kim lip's eyes genuinely. "Do you want to know, Unnie?".
Jungeun just nodded hesitantly seeing you being serious suddenly. Taking this as a sign, you confessed your feelings to her.
"I really really like you for a long time now, Jungeun Unnie..." she was taken aback but composed herself but still slightly mentally panicking.
"...that's what I would say" you whisper and slightly scratch your nape.
Kim lip's face is visibly red and avoiding your gaze. You lowered your gaze and turn your attention to Hyun's cat.
"Do you also want to know what I'll say to someone I like?" She said to you smiling.
You looked back at her and a "Yes." escaped from your lips.
She shyly took your response and said "I really really like you for a long time now, Y/n."
Honestly, you don't how to take her confession but one thing is for sure, and that is your heart is beating so fast.
The two of you are staring at each other with red faces looking like an idiot. No one has the guts to move. It looks like the energy of you both has been released on the confession.
Hyunjin suddenly came out of nowhere and get her cat. "Both of you look like an idiot right now, well, you two are. Anyways, Haseul Unnie said breakfast is ready and go to the dining already.". She then proceeds on feeding her cat.
Kim lip might process all of what happened and chickened out, making her run to the dining room. After a few more minutes of composing yourself, you walk towards the dining too.
Breakfast went smoothly, girls are talking mostly about what happened last night. They are bickering about who snores the loudest.
You remain silent and still cannot recover from the confessions, while Kim lip sometimes joins the conversation with other girls.
After that breakfast, nothing special happened. Some of them played Nintendos and others continues to chit-chat
Around 9 am, your mother called to remind you about your and her plans for lunch. You excused yourself to the girls and told them that you need to go home now.
You bid your goodbyes to them. You lastly took a glanced at Kim lip and smiled at her which she answers with a smile too.
All throughout the day, You cannot stop thinking about the conversation between you and Kim lip that early morning.
Is she serious about that? what if she's still sleepy and thought it was just a joke.
Should I call her? But it's too late to call, isn't it?
well,
So you decided to call her. After a ring, she answers.
"Hello? Y/n?"
"Unnie...are you sleeping already?"
"I...I actually can't sleep..by the way, is there anything I could help you with?"
"Ohh, yeahh, I just want to ask about what you said earlier morning....did you really mean it?"
"...Yes, Y/n. I really like you."
"Jungeun Unnie, I really like you too. Can I meet you tomorrow?"
"Of course, Y/N. You can come over any time."

---------------------------------------—
A stroll down the streets of Seoul has never been the best as the perfect ambiance sets up the best of all your moods: faint car sounds at the distance, cold breeze of the wind, dim lights of the lampposts and the orange hazel of the sunset-filled skies alongside the grayish clouds. It never had felt exceptional, knowing that you’re meeting someone beyond special later and you can’t help but smile thinking all about it. It would be an exciting moment that’s worth cherishing and it will be.
*phone vibrates*
“Oh, Hello Lip!”
“Hey, where are you now?”
“Uhm, I’m here on the street near the place that you’re inviting me to go to. I will be there real quick! I’m on my way, okay? ”
“Okay, I’ll wait here. Bye…”
“Bye Lip..”
You hang up the phone and without wasting any time, you approach the location as quickly as possible as you get nearer and nearer. A minute has passed and only footsteps are now the distance between you and the restaurant as you were greeted by Jungeun who is sitting at the wooden bench.
“Oh, hello Lip…”
“Hi…”
The both of you know how awkward you are towards each other and it’s even worse now, considering how busy both your schedules are to the point that the both of you rely on messaging and calling each other; not meeting or even bonding for even an hour and you hate it. You know how time-consuming it is being an idol of a famous girl group called “Girls of the Month” or mononymously known as “LOONA” as her schedules are far worse than yours—her hectic and confusing plans for the both of you says so for the past couple weeks that hasn’t been done.
She’s mostly known for her chic and fierce stage presence and her cold and tsundere demeanor yet she’s a complete opposite once she sets down the microphones because of her dorky, talkative and shy side. She also shows those traits of hers whenever she’s with you and you loved every second of it. You never thought how clingy she is when all you can see is her being the opposite—her assisting and taking care of her fellow members—yet you won’t complain but rather, it puts a smile on your face on how good of a person Jungeun is. You’re definitely grateful for having a girl like her and you couldn’t ask for more.
“It’s been awhile, eh?”
“Yeah, and I’ve missed you…”
“I missed you too. I’m just suddenly feeling kinda off today but we really need to meet now since tomorrow's gonna be a busy day.”
“What’s going to happen tomorrow?”
A deep sigh escapes Jungeun's lips as concern paints your face, not feeling about the words that she'll say next.
"More practice and it is exhausting, then we'll shoot our comeback stage tomorrow. I just want to restttttt…"
You definitely see how exhausting she can be with all of her hectic schedules as you pat her back, hoping to enlighten the mood and to make her feel better. A faint smile is her response as you invited her to go inside the restaurant before slipping it out of your mind and not to forget why the both of you are here.
“Hey Lip!”
“Yuh, tone your voice down a little, I’m just right here.”
“Oh sorry, don’t you want to go to the rooftop? Y’know, the ambiance looks great there and it always sets the mood.”
Jungeun thinks deeply about your suggestion as you can see her eyes squinting with her arms crossed. You always find it cute whenever she squints and you can’t help but fall into her charms. Even with her cold and tsundere-like demeanor, she’s always on her softer side whenever she’s with you or with her members and it always boosts your day thinking of that.
“You know you’re probably right. We’ll go to the rooftop.”
Greet the staff and the people at the cashier and a waiter helped the both of you from coursing your way to the rooftop of the restaurant. Luckily, there was no one at the rooftop and it’s not even a sweat getting a seat for the both of you as the waiter lends you the menus and a buzzer.
"Well, just tap the buzzer for your orders and we'll be there, alright, miss, sir?"
"Okay, thanks."
The waiter then goes downstairs as you fiddle your fingers on the hem of your shirt as you start to talk with her about anything you could possibly think of.
“So, how’s the practice earlier?”
“Hah, exhausting, I guess. I just slept for 4 hours and I’m feeling kinda sleepy right now but I don’t mind it.”
“Ohhh. Also, what do you mean by ‘I don’t mind it’?”
“Hah, what I mean is that… I don’t mind it because I want to bond with you.”
Your eyes widen; eyebrows scrunching  as you were baffled on what Jungeun had said. Jungeun doesn’t usually say this whenever you’re together even if only the both of you can hear what she’s talking about yet despite all of these, you’re flustered with her words and it never fails to put a smile on your face.
“Aww, that’s so sweet of you Lip!”
“Shhh, tone down your voice, someone may hear us!”
“Sorry… But, that’s so sweet, you really found some time to bond with me.”
In a matter of seconds, Jungeun’s cheeks were tinted with a pink shade as she smiled, a chuckle also escaping her lips as felt shy about what she said. As she faces away from you, you could definitely tell that she’s flustered and sincere about what she said—you’re still baffled on what she said.
“But it’s true, or no?”
“It’s true. I did miss you so much and I took this opportunity to bond with you.”
Without a doubt, you know how sincere she is as you can see from the look of her eyes. The both of you missed each other after almost 5 weeks of not seeing each other physically and always depending on the blue screen your gadgets are emitting. With that in mind, you got a glimpse on how she’s being a totally-different-person considering how she’s showing her affection which normally—even if it’s just the both of you—she doesn’t do. You’re not complaining and neither does she; she’s just as glad as you are being in front of each other, exchangings and smiles the both of you missed about.
“It’s alright Lip, it’s completely normal and also felt this way…”
Before succumbing to your own emotions, you came back to your senses and taught what's the reason on why the both of you are here—pressing the buzzer and stating your order's on what you could be favorable about the menu.
“Hello! Can we get our order?”
—---------------
The breeze above the rooftop is your paramount of relaxation. It never gets old; it never fails to make you feel comfortable as you feel like all of your problems had been wiped out with a single brush of the wind upon your skin.
With fresh salads, a couple of dressings and with colas as the beverage of choice, this makes you feel like you're in heaven alongside your angel, Jungeun. The both of you always dreamed to be on this kind of date as it feels different to be in one—being in one with nature. Maybe Jiwoo influenced the both of you about being more interested and engaged with nature-related talks and topics and you’re not complaining about it—you loved it, to say the least.
“You liked what I ordered for you?”
“Yeah, it’s so fresh and I like it so much and the dressing too…”
You involuntarily smiled at her response knowing that she’s genuinely enjoying her food and so are you, having identical orders. Both of you are on a strict diet so ordering greens is one of the best options here and gladly, this restaurant has your wants and needs.
A couple of laughs, talks and smiles after, the both of you are nearing to finish your respective meals as you get lost by her visuals, making you in awe and stunned at your seat. Time slowed down as the ticks doubled; you adored her features as her nose-scrunching  laugh can be seen and you absolutely loved it. Fighting back, you slowly came back to our senses only to know that Jungeun was still talking and just listened to her cute squeals and talks.
“Aha- Am I right?”
“Yeah, Lip…”
Jungeun feels something’s not right or maybe just her instincts yet it can't get off her mind. Your sudden change of mood is what Jungeun doesn’t like to see as it hits you worse than a truck yet all of her suspicions were wrong. She then stopped herself from laughing and asked you, her forehead almost forming a scrunch; curiosity painting her face, hoping to get an answer.
“Is there something wrong?”
“N-Nothing, it’s just the feeling of… I don’t know how to say or describe it Lip…”
“Speak to me. Are you feeling good?”
You can definitely sense the concern in her tone even though she masks it with an opposing emotion. Facing her, you looked at her endearingly as a faint genuine smile—almost forming a smirk—sculpts your mouth.
“Yeah, I’m good, it’s just… I just feel so happy being with you. I really missed this and I’m grateful that we’re doing this again.”
Your enlightening words caught Jungeun off-guard as she almost spat her drink as she felt moved by what you’ve said. As her pinkish tint on her cheeks grew, she hid her face with her own hands as she didn’t expect that flustering response from yours yet she knows how genuine and sincere it is, just by looking at your face and your pensive demeanor.
“Yuh! B-But honestly, I’m glad that we’ve done this and I missed bonding with you, so t-thank you.”
As you looked into her face—specifically her eyes—endearingly, you could see that she couldn't manage to get some eye contact towards you and you totally understood it. The both of you can feel how awkward it is and how uncanny it is for the both of you to open up suddenly as the both of you always feels like cats and dogs whenever together—not to mention the swift moves of Jungeun to avoid the media at all costs.
With all of your emotions driving yourselves, you then stood up on your seat and sat next to Jungeun, pulling her into a hug which she didn’t expect yet she’s not complaining about it as she feels so much affection to free herself from you. You know that she’s that “not-so-affectionate” type of girl whenever she’s with you and you may think that it’s because of her idol life and she must not act suspicious in public or a lot more yet she’s really like that, even when it’s just the both of you.
Your hug tightens as she envelops her arms slowly, wrapping you into an affectionate embrace as the wind blows stronger as well as the cold breeze that touches your skin that makes you more comfortable in embracing Jungeun.
“Oh s-sorry, I just got too emotional…”
“It’s fine. Let’s just finish our meals and go s-somewhere?”
“Sure.”
You then went back to your seat as she exclaims, refraining you from doing something.
“But wait!”
You were stopped in your tracks as she pulled out her phone from her pocket and you know exactly what she’s going to do—she wants you to take a picture of her and not just a single one, but a series of it.
It never gets old. She knows how much you hate taking photos yet it never fails to put a smile on your face as her photogenic visuals makes you in awe, no matter what angle or scene the picture is, it never fails to look amazing and always ends up being astonished.
“Pleaseeee?”
Her cute whine and those pleading eyes if hers is something you can't deny even if it's in your sight for a million times. With a deep sigh escaping your lips, you got her phone and prepared yourself as Jungeun instructed you what to do and what poses she will be doing.
“Well, let’s start with this, shall we?”
—-----------------------------
*click*
*clack*
After several minutes of clicks from Jungeun’s phone, you finally gathered a lot of pictures with her which, of course, is guided and further improved by Jungeun herself.

“Wah! You’re really good at taking pictures of me! These came out sososo well!”
“Well, it can't be helped on how beautiful the woman is, right in front of me…”
You smiled with your own compliment towards her as her cheeks flushed red, again. She then playfully hit you with her wrists as she faced you and got her phone from your hands. To further assert her cold self, she cleared her throat and changed the topic which you didn't mind.
“W-Well back when I was saying, thank you for taking these photos for me and I may post them a day after and I’m sure, Orbits will love how it went!”
“They really will Lip…”
“Also! D-Do I need to retouch these photos? I don’t have that much makeup on so it will be good to-”
“Hey…”
“What?”
“You always looked good Jungeun, you don’t need that.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. Orbits will love you as much as I do and it’s true.”
She may look the hardest to fall because of her tsundere-like personality and her cold self yet complimenting her introduces a whole different Jungeun which you always love—it’s always a sight to see. She’s really weak at compliments even though she always knows how much she receives compliments and kind words everyday. She may still feel insecure especially on how the people would react on the Internet yet your calming and encouraging words are enough to dismiss all of those thoughts.
A faint smile—almost forming into a smirk—sculpts Jungeun’s mouth as she feels affection towards your words which she always loves.
“Thank you…”
You then reached her hand and held it, making sure to let her know that you’re sincere about what you’ve said even though you know how Jungeun wholeheartedly accepted your compliment.
“No worries Lip.”
You then kissed her forehead and then got a glimpse of her endearing gaze that is something you’ll always treasure. You locked eyes on her as she beamed a bright smile and so did you as you felt her smile is contagious—it may not compare to Jiwoo’s and Yerim’s level of infectious smiles yet Jungeun’s smiles are in their own league and that’s something distinctive about her.
Tuck her hair behind her right ear and utter the words “I love you…”
“I love you, Jungeun.”
“I love you so much, Jungeun.”
Again and again, those spin around your head as your emotion took over you, hugging her tightly as she uttered a response you’re expecting to hear, “I love you too, so so much.”.
Pull her for another embrace, your arms wrapping her as she mutters a sentence, almost inaudible to hear.
“It’s so c-cold…”
You took off your jacket and wrapped Jungeun with it as she whined, her wanting your warm embrace more as it rivals the breeze better than anything.
“Please stay like t-this…”
You wished you could stay like this forever yet you know that you can’t as this is just the start of an exhilarating feeling that you’ll forever cherish throughout your whole life. This will be just one of the memories that the both of you will be making, marking your own history books—worth remembering.
