   Aynı yıl yayınlanan The Master's Sun dizisinin senaristi Hong kardeşlerin kaleminden çıkan Warm and Cozy hep yıl olarak altın çağı yakalayamamış hem de muadillerini geçememiş. Benim çizdiğim hayali 2016 yıl sınırını geçememiş olmasının büyük bir etkisi olduğunu düşünüyorum. Ama bütün suçu da yıla atmak haksızlık olacak. Yoo Yeon-Seok’un hatırına başladığım ve başladığıma pişman olduğum dizidir. Dizi tam bir tribal enfeksiyon. Çok zengin bir ailenin oğlu olan Baek Gun-Woo (Yoo Yeon-Seok) artık şımarıklıktan mıdır nedir, kendini ispatlasın diye Jeju adasında bir restoran işletmeye gönderiliyor. Lee Jung-Joo (Kang So-Ra) da dolandırıldıktan sonra Jeju adasında bir harabeyi restorana çevirmek için geliyor. Baek Gun-Woo bir takım yanlış anlaşılmalardan sonra Lee Jung-Joo’u ölümc��l hasta sanıyor ve ölene kadar kendi restoranının başına getiriyor.

Dizideki tek güzel şey Jeju adasıydı. Manzaralar olsun, yeşillikler olsun, gökyüzünün rengi bile şahane görünüyordu. Bunun dışındaki her şey çok ilginçtir ki son derece amatördü. Ana karakterler o kadar vasattı ki dizideki bütün yan roller daha ön plana çıkıyordu. Dizide bir sürü aşk hikayesi olmasına rağmen romantik sahnesi olmaması da bir nevi başarı olarak görülebilir. Erkeğin kıza yapmadığını bırakmadığı, ağır sözler söyledikten sonra kızın hepsini yutup tekrar aşkımdan ölüyorum diye geri dönmesi mantığı ne yazık ki 2016 öncesi dizilerde çok hakim.

Yönetmenin izleyicilere jesti olarak ilk bölümde So Ji-Sub konuk oyuncu olarak göründü. Hatta karakteri The Master's Sun dizisindeki ile aynıydı. Meşhur “kaybol” hareketini yaparak bizlere selam çaktı ve gitti. Dizide hoşuma giden ikinci şey de bu oldu. Dizinin kadın karakterini oynayan Kang So-Ra’yı o kadar sevemedim ki anlatamam. Bir oyuncu ancak bu kadar alık olabilir. Jo Bo-Ah’dan sonra kötü oyunculuk listeme Kang So-Ra’yı da eklemiş oldum. İkisi de oyunculuk namına hiçbir şeyden nasiplenmedikleri gibi bir de üstüne çok özür dileyerek söylüyorum, çirkinler.

Kızın, erkekten önce “ilanı aşk” etmesi Kore dizilerinde çok var. O yüzden yadırgamadım ama kız duygularını söyledikten sonra erkeğin hakarete kadar giden tavrı sadece 2016 öncesi dizilerde var. Bu beni inanılmaz iğreti ediyor. Erkek karakter “bana herkes aşık” havalarında kabardıkça kabardı. Kendini nimette saydı. Kız bir tripler attı ki sormayın. Sonra birden bir şey oldu, çocuk kıza meyletti. Bu seferde sıra kıza geçti. Trip öyle yapılmaz böyle yapılır dediler. Tam bitti derken sıra tekrar erkeğe geçti, sonra tekrar kıza geçti... Aman yarabbi… Bu sırada bana ufunet bastı. Diziden zaten jet hızı ile soğumuştum, işkenceye dönüştü.

Söyleyeceklerim ne yazık ki bu kadar. Asla tavsiye etmiyorum.

Lovely Runner had the perfect run. The whole premise of it being a fantasy romcom was perfectly written, perfectly executed with a beautiful cast.

Sunjae and Sol were fated to be each other's soulmate. Their love blooms from their soul. So deep the bond that fates intervened when evils of society cut their time short. And in all of this the grandma was their fairy godmother.

The writers really need to be applauded because this was the sweetest and in the same time such a simple story. Timeloop dramas get loopy because logic but there's nothing stopping this magic. It was so well done truly.

Every scene you will think you can predict the direction will surprise you. Sometimes it's just belly aching laughter, Sometimes pure angst, Sometimes happiness that is a smile from ear to ear.

Thank you to the actors too. Actors who really bring in a personality beyond the writing and make the works more valuable have my whole heart.

So I'm so excited about Death's game. I really am. I remember reading the manhwa and every chapter had me gripping my phone in excitement.

But the only thing strange is that they cast Seo In Guk as Choi Yijae.

(Yes I'm sure he's going to deliver like he always does. And have you seen the cast? Man this is an expensive show! And each actor is going to play at max 2 episodes.)

Like Choi Yijae, at the beginning of the manhwa, was shown to be the most average of average guys. Not exceptional in any field.

Average height. Average looks. Not tall and not good looking. This fact, was put a lot of importance on, because it was an important part of his character.

And, I don't know... it's kind of really wrong 😂 that they cast *Seo In Guk* to play a guy that is "not tall and not good looking".

DRAMA REVIEW | Perfect Marriage Revenge (2023)

There’s an argument to be made about how Perfect Marriage Revenge had a perfect execution because it was a 12 episodes long drama and didn’t waste time for unnecessary conflicts. Everything took its right time and was resolved in a cohesive way with the characters development.

Both leads were compelling and had amazing chemistry, but the secondary characters were equally interesting to watch. All the performances outstanding and you can tell the actors are enjoying themselves in their respective roles.

On a story about a woman looking for revenge against her own family, this kdrama had a perfect balance between makjang and romcom. Making it an easy and fun watch. I highly recommend it!
