And proof that I can hold him without his wings falling off! Honestly this has been so immensely helpful. I'm not sure how I would have gotten to the tail feathers without this gift. It is still awkward as hell, and when I sit down with him it's hunched awkwardly, bird balanced precariously on my knees, one hand doing it's best to keep his beak or wings from shifting to a pressure point AND providing support so that I don't accidentally crack through the very thin tail. But it's way better than trying to figure out how to carve a 3-dimensional object from a fixed, unmovable position.
