When I followed you earlier today and then realized this blog wasn't even two days old it made me feel like I invested in a startup.
Do you think if you did the lyrics for Fireflies by Owl City, your database would give us fireflies? (Will also accept owls. And there's a line about sheep too).

for the ask game-
👀 is the mer WB fic part of your merverse mayhaps? :0 either way sounds exciting!! :D
it is! it’s a direct sequel to Hold Me, Thrill Me, Ke’murcyu Ni …i should start trying to think of a title for this one, ugh 😰😂😂
Waxer and Jesse are human brothers, two of the four sons of a big-time military contractor named Jango Fett (😈)
Kix is a nurse in this AU and Jesse’s husband of several years. Boil is a kisslip cuttlefish mer, and has just returned from the sea to see Waxer again for the first time since their first meeting.
They all end up in the water under the light of the moon.
They don’t have suits, and ‘every beach is a nude beach if you’re daring enough’ is a phrase Kix’s brother Neyo lives by. Normally none of them are daring enough, but tonight feels liminal. They strip off and splash in, three of them standing tall and one flopping over as soon as the water is deep enough.
Boil jets around all of them, playfully shimmering and showing off.
“Damn,” Jesse says again, “Nice catch, Waxer.”
Boil surfaces next to them. “Wax is my nice catch, thanks,” he jokes, and ripples his side fins and waves his tentacles demonstratively. Waxer ducks down and wraps his arms around Boil’s torso to pull him up so he can kiss him. Jesse splashes them, and then Kix drags him under.
Kix and Jesse surface further down the beach and they’re kissing and getting handsy too, so Waxer doesn’t feel too bad about the way his hands wander down the slippery swell of Boil’s backside and trace over the ridged edges of his cuttlebone.

[ @southxparkxafterxdark Liked For A Featured Muse: Aster Starter! || Michael ]
[ Aster ]
The front door slammed as hard as he could make it, startling the Kisslip Cuttlefish into giving an inhuman gurgle that helped to shake the house. His fingers tensed and he had to force himself not to grab the nearest object and chuck it. A frustrated grunt left him, dark and ominous, as he crossed to the couch.
His thighs hit it and he fell over the arm, crawling onto the couch face down and slamming a pillow with both fists. Then, he grabbed it, cramming it into the back of his own head.
If he had to see another person’s fucking face right now, and they weren’t important, they were going to get a shiny new hole in their face.
Teenage angst had nothing on a creature like Aster.
Disigi even cowered in his tank, uttering the softest possible consolation that only earned him a brown-eyed glare. Yeah, he’d just. Go back under the driftwood at the back of the tank.

Rampage Origins: Cal The Squid Part 2
Kaiju Calamari, Colossal Cuttlefish and Sinister Sentai Squid
Gezora (Space Amoeba 1970)
Tumblr media
An amoeba-like alien hitches a ride on a space probe back to Earth, where it soon bonds with various sea creatures to become giant monsters that cause mass destruction. The first of said fusions is Gezora, a kisslip cuttlefish merged with the alien and given the ability to create extreme cold. While the creature was killed via fire, the alien amoeba simply moved on to another host.
Squid Evo (Scientific Squadron Dynaman Episode 20: Chase! The Amakusa Sun, June 18, 1983)
Tumblr media
This monster used electrified tentacles and noxious ink to battle the Dynaman, as well as flatten itself to slip by them, similar to surume (a shredded dried squid or cuttlefish snack).
Mutant Giant Squid (Godzilla The Series Season 1 Episode 2 New Family Part 2, September 19 1998)
Tumblr media
Much like the original Zilla, the creature was likely created nuclear testing in the Caribbean by the French government. They were capable of spitting corrosive ink in order to entrap and help digest prey. Zilla Junior was able to kill the squids, though this prompted Crustaceous Rex, another giant monster that preyed on the mutant squids, to surface due to a dwindling food supply.

For your Decades of Horror 1970s Grue-Crew, the operative word for Space Amoeba is “fun!” Chad, Bill, and Doc are big Kaiju fans, while in comparison, Jeff is relatively inexperienced. Even so, their comments are pretty universal regarding Yog: Monster from Space. Chad says the sillier the better and if you want silly, you got it with Space Amoeba. According to Bill, it’s not great, but how can you not have fun with big rubber monsters slapping each other. Doc wonders aloud if it is good and then answers his own question: technically no, but it sure is a lot of fun. Jeff agrees with the rest of the crew on how fun Space Amoeba is and he manages to learn something as well as Bill schools him on the difference between amphibians and reptiles.
As long as you’re not looking for a Godzilla (1954) type kaiju film and are out for some good clean fun, your 70s Grue-Crew recommends Space Amoeba. At the time of this writing, the film is available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1970s is part of the Decades of Horror two-week rotation with The Classic Era and the 1980s. In two weeks, the next episode in their very flexible schedule will be Brian De Palma’s Sisters (1988), chosen by Jeff.

concept: fairy/psychic inkay and malamar based off the kisslip cuttlefish/sepia lycidas? : O
inkay is a squid, not a cuttlefish, and mod is not willing to compromise on this point. sorry!
mod will try their hand at a fairy/psychic type inkay later, though. thank you for your message.

Hello! Love your blog! I’ve come to ask for a certain animal: one such that might occur scurrying in forests, or  gamboling in tree tops. Little victorious carnivores, precocious dancers too!

Twelve Days Of Headcanons Day Two - Aster
Music
All that Aster listens to, he got from his parents, or things he found on the internet with his brother. However, he often listens to the songs Cthulhu leaves him with, and has tried to play them on the piano, clarinet, and violin. He has used Firkle’s sound equipment to try and layer that sounds.
Hair
Aster didn’t get a lot of the curliness to his hair that Michael has, but he has the potential to wake up with some stray ringlets sometimes.
Animal
Aster’s favorite animal is Disigi, if he’s honest. Kisslip Cuttlefish are vibrant and endeared to him. He cannot stand to be around big dogs, however.
