Street style fashion brand
Kith
Tumblr media
Kith, founded by the one and only Ronnie Fieg, has become a powerhouse brand that seamlessly fuses streetwear with a touch of high-end luxury.
It all started when Fieg began chasing the magic formula of collaborations. In his stores you can find both sneakers from the usual known Nike, Adidas x Clarks, Clarks, Timberland, New Balance, Red Wing and other collaborations. Same goes for clothing with a predilection for brands such as Acronym, Off White, Don C, John Elliott + C and Fieg's signature collaborations.
In 2016 he debuted at New York Fashion Week for what he considers not a fashion show but a fashion experience. Of course, each "experience" is accompanied by collaborations with brands like Champion, Off-White, Moncler, and Nike, complete with appearances by NBA stars like Lebron James and Scottie Pippen.
Generally, Kith's pieces feature clean lines, elevated materials, and a focus on versatility. From their iconic collaborations to their essential basics, each design exudes a sense of understated coolness and a celebration of urban elegance. Kith continues to set trends and redefine what it means to embrace streetwear with a refined sensibility.

Did Nike Release New Shoes?
Tumblr media
The swoosh logo is iconic in the industry as the symbol of a true giant. And a true giant it is, without any shadow of a doubt. Nike has been a household name for decades in the sports industry. The branding is universally recognisable and has the massive weight of its years-long legacy to uphold. Nike sneakers are undoubtedly amongst the top tier, in terms of design, influence and impact on the market itself. One doesn't become giants by merely resting on their laurels after all. The legacy of Nike’s sneaker brand was built upon the release of several iconic products over the many years of its operation. The Air Force 1, Air Max 1, Air Jordan 1, Air Huarache, Nike Waffle Racer, Nike Cortez, Air Jordan 11, Nike Air Max 90, and so many other products have graced the shelves of stores around the world over the years which changed the industry for the better.
Pushing the envelope isn't just the job of the underdog after all. Nike has continuously pushed the envelope in the industry, pushing the industry forward along with them. It is quite admirable in hindsight how these giants have helped form a sector, unlike any other. The athletic footwear segment has had massive popularity for a number of years now. The hype surrounding each new product is palpable and almost always over the top. Enthusiasm for the industry has helped retain a lot of loyal customers over the years. As a matter of fact, it has spawned several forums and other means of discussion dedicated only for shoes. While it may have been a bit ridiculous a few years back, it is part of the culture now. One would be remiss not to mention the cultural impact of these shoes. For what it's worth, they aren't just mere shoes but something that not only influences the people who belong to particular cultures but also has a considerable worldwide appeal. Bundle that in with hip-hop and basketball, and you've got a recipe for long-term success. The relationship between these crossover industries has always been symbiotic in nature. Very much of an "I help you, and you help me" kind of a deal.  So far, this symbiosis has spelt success for companies brave enough to take the risk. Nike has certainly gone out of its way to collaborate and improve the industry. From the Air Jordans to the Air Yeezys and countless others in between, Nike has taken a chance with each of these to bring out new shoes in the regular. We take a look at the latest shoes Nike will release and has released in recent times.

Tumblr media
Alongside these releases, some more anticipated shoes and collabs will drop soon such as the Travis Scott X Nike Sb Dunk Low and the Travis Scott Nike Air Max 270 React.
Jordans are always going to pop up in sneaker conversations as the Air Jordan 1 “Royal Toe”, Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple”, Air Jordan 1 “Pine Green”, and Air Jordan XIII 'Flint' will likely be released this year as well.
Other notable collaborations include the Ben & Jerry's x Nike SB Dunk Low 'Chunky Dunky', Kith x Nike Air Force 1, Dior x Air Jordan I, and the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 2.0.
Nike is set to have a busy year as always with all these releases and collaborations to sort through. All this will only strengthen their stronghold on the industry and ability to put out new and exciting products throughout the year.

Really nice interview about fractional NFTs, intersection of DeFi and NFTs.
Top Shot for me was kind of that gateway drug because I knew that it was a good monetary bit, but at the same time, I just was really really enjoying my time, having fun, and spending hours researching. That clicked something in my brain that triggered a lot of other understandings of why this is important. So that was where I started really thinking about NFTs and taking them more seriously.
If I wanted to make the most money possible, I would just buy every single LeBron James moment on the site,’ but that's not what I'm interested in—I'm having fun buying the players that I like. And I was like, ‘Oh, that totally translates to everything else in the world.’ It's funny because it's something that had always been a part of how I thought about things; I was collecting sneakers, buying and flipping Supreme, Kith, Palace and all this stuff.
I don't have an emotional connection to the Ethereum that I've bought and sold. There are NFTs that I have very serious emotional connections to now that are worth more to me than their fair market value because of that.
Community is really additive, it's a positive sum thing for these NFTs where I think we haven't been able to experiment in it too much yet.
Dogecoin feels like it's transcended the Doge meme and is different.
We're not trying to reinvent the financial system. Over time, I think NFTs have enough of a gravitational pull around them that DeFi's going to come and meet NFTs where they are. And what that looks like, we'll see. Most users who I get DMs from are like, ‘I could never own an X copy, so I’m excited that I have 2% of this X copy.
we share a lot of ethos here in that, but I think that building non-upgradable, fully permissionless, decentralized smart contracts is just really, really important, especially with something as important to someone as an NFT that they buy. If we're accepting that NFTs are more about their emotional significance than anything else, I don't want to put something that I feel emotionally tied to in a smart contract that I could get rug-pulled on because it's upgradeable or not trustless in some way.
Making sure we're building systems that are totally resilient to any type of negative environment means having to test them and make sure that they're secure, because when you deploy them, you can't fix them afterwards.
I think a lot of the value in these communities is shitposting with your friends. How does it make it feel like you're just shitposting with your friends when you all own the same NFT? That kind of stuff is still super underexplored and something that we at Fractional are going to explore, but also see how the greater real world explores those things.
